Sorry to hear that Cereal Take care of yourself.

DontSweatTheSmallStuff · 15/10/2012 09:28

Welcome Monal

I have my booking in appt tomorrow, think it might start to feel abit more real then. I'm a childminder and one of mindees mums is also pg so hope I don't bump into her on the way to the midwife Blush.

newlondoner · 15/10/2012 10:16

Sorry to hear the news Cereal... Take care!

Welcome to all the others. I have nothing new to report - still very mild symptoms, although I am very very emotional and that is the worst as I do not seem to be able to deal with even the smallest stresses. It happened last time as well and it got so bad I had to see a specialist consultant... It was an awful time and I hope it won't be so bad this time (I am not sure how DH managed not to divorce me at the time... I was another person for my pregnancy).

I hope you ladies will help me to keep me sane!

Dillydollydaydream · 15/10/2012 10:29

Sorry to hear your news cereal

Hope your hcg bloods have increased James

Absolutely freezing today was 1/2 degrees on the school run! My stomach is really bloated today, having trouble with my jeans already, I'm having to expand them using a hair bobble Blush
I'm only 6 or so weeks so I need to hide it for a good while yet.

olimoss · 15/10/2012 10:31

Morning all. 7 weeks tomorrow, have a little nausea most days around 1pm for a couple of hours, other than that have been lucky - just incredibly sore (and seemingly massive!) boobs and I could sleep for 24 hours at a go, no worries. Big boobs are annoying, cannot wear some things already which was not in the brochure...

Had to run for a train this morning, thought I was going to expire - though maybe I can't blame that on the pregnancy. Yet.

Have met with GP and waiting for midwife appt. Still dreading telling everyone - toying with idea of doing a video so I can get it all done in one go - too hard trying to do it across 3 countries, and I'm so bad with fuss. I suppose I'll have to get better at it.

olimoss · 15/10/2012 10:35

btw I have this open and check it occasionally, at the moment it seems like AGES to go....cause there is....but I've always loved a countdown.

www.pregnology.com/faralong.php - just put in your dates and it'll load.

CuriosityColaKilledTheCat · 15/10/2012 10:44

newlondoner - dh and I had a moment last night where he looked at me and said along the lines of how bad I am at being pregnant. I was really emotional, not as serious as yours though. I also puked at least daily up until ds was born (including during giving birth). Hoping it will be different this time. Eating everything in sight while I can, just in case Grin

I'm only 5 weeks and I already have that feeling of not liking anything pressing on my stomach. Tights or skinny jeans are really uncomfortable, despite still fitting ok. Anyone else have that feeling?

CuriosityColaKilledTheCat · 15/10/2012 10:45

Thank you olimos.

I used to look at a weekly site, that showed how far along I was and what was happening. Need to find it again.

MrsJLS85 · 15/10/2012 11:44

Hi ladies, sorry I've been away, been having awful awful sickness and feel really down. Going to see GP tomorrow about it. Thank you eddie for advice re: medication. I think I'm definitely going to ask for something, and not just 'put it down to being pregnant', because I am so uncomfortable :(

7 weeks today and have booking in appointment at end of the week.

Sorry cereal about news, fx for sticky bfp in the future

Welcome newbies!

RueDeWakening · 15/10/2012 11:47

I'm just back from EPU and am pleased to report a healthy, SINGLE, heartbeat present and correct Smile. We're very relieved and thankful! Bleeding has been put down to implantation, she double checked for extra heartbeats what with my BOGTF history Grin but no sign, phew.

CuriosityColaKilledTheCat · 15/10/2012 11:53

Congratulations Rue. Very exciting news. Smile

kiwi5 · 15/10/2012 12:23

Yay rue. Thats fab news.

Cereal so sorry to hear ur news. It sucks.

Super tired today. Boobs so sensitive to the cold.

Dd in bed and i am curled up under a duvet watching downtown!

DontSweatTheSmallStuff · 15/10/2012 13:20

THats great news Rue

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 15/10/2012 13:41

Sorry Cereal, best of luck if and when you choose to try again. Take care of yourself x

Welcome to all the new folks and congrats on your bfp's!

Rue, congrats on your ONE healthy baby! Must have been lovely to see. I'm still bleeding, I'm ignoring it, it's rained on my parade enough now! lol

Well, I have good news too, thank god. The test results showed that the beta hcg levels increased by over 60% in 48 hours, so the poor little bean is positively rocketing along trying to keep up with the rest of you lot Wink They've scheduled another scan for Monday just to check it is where it should be and everything's present and correct. Hoping to see a heartbeat this time, that would be lovely. Smile

Just had to buy a new bra as I was spilling out of a C cup, now in a DD and I still seem to have slight 4 boob ishoos going on. They aren't even tender I just keep getting sharp stabby red hot poker pains occasionally. Which is nice.

Sorry to hear about all the nausea, definitely get help, don't suffer! I've been ok so far, just a bit hyper sensitive for smells. There's a bag of elderly potatoes in the kitchen I can't go near, and I opened the tumble dryer mid-cycle yesterday and got a faceful of hot steamy chemical smelling air, and had a good old retch. Blush

Dillydollydaydream · 15/10/2012 13:46

Great news about scan rue hope that will reassure you a bit.

I seem to be craving potato products! Everything else makes me feel nauseous but jacket potato, mash, waffles, chips and crisps are all fine! I'm going to end up round like a potato at this rate!

Dillydollydaydream · 15/10/2012 13:50

Good news about your blood levels james yay!

I bought some new undie sets a couple of weeks before my bfp but they are just too small in the cup now! Not that I'm complaining about having larger boobs it's just a pain I've wasted money on bras I'm not going to wear.

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 15/10/2012 13:54

All I want is meat. I was a veggie for nearly 20 years, which was fine in my first pregnancy (boy) I wanted salads, cheese etc. My 2nd pg (girl) I wanted meat so I caved in and ate some, and I've eaten meat ever since. Same cravings again now so wondering if it's another girl!

Oh meant to say, I did see a silly just-for-fun test to see whether you're having a boy or a girl. Apparently if you wee in a cup containing a tsp of bicarbonate of soda (come on, we all love weeing on things by now) if it fizzes it's a boy, if it doesn't it's a girl. Mine didn't fizz. Anyone else fancy trying it and reporting back? Grin

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 15/10/2012 13:55

In fact I've eaten so much meat the last few days I've just found a bit of gammon in my bra. Blush

Thanks dolly!

Dillydollydaydream · 15/10/2012 14:10

Ooh I think I have bicarbonate in the cupboard..,
My dh would have a field day if he knew I was considering seeing on bicarb Grin
Gammon in bra??! I saw a thread saying how bras are handy for carrying things, phones, cash etc. no one mentioned snacks though!

olimoss · 15/10/2012 14:24

JamesAndTheGiantBanana that is ACES. I will totally do that when I get home. I would totally do it here in the office were there any bicarb in the building!

My friend said something to me about chinese calendars and boy/girls - she said it was accurate for her and all her child-bearing mates - anyone heard of that?

MrsJLS85 · 15/10/2012 14:31

congrats James and Rue!! What great news!!

Off to wee on some bicarbonate of soda...

ExpatMamaToBe · 15/10/2012 14:49

Congrats on all the good news and so sorry about the bad ones.

Will be depositing a urine sample tomorrow morning at the hospital, waiting for the results more or less 4 days and then the GP might take us seriously. Welcome to Italy.

CuriosityColaKilledTheCat · 15/10/2012 15:26

Oh no, I just had a wee before reading this. Guess I will need to wait 5 mins before trying the bicarbonate test.Grin

Glad your test went well Jamie. Look forward to hearing about your scan results next week.

Facebook hmmm...not sure if I trust it to not reveal me. Would it be a well hidden group? I might be tempted to join when I'm a little further along.

RedSaucePlease · 15/10/2012 15:33

Hello everyone.

I have been watching this thread for a week and think it is about time that I joined you ladies.

I am due June 16th (so 5+1 I think) and feeling rather excited but terribly nervous.

I have previously had an etopic but since then have had a beautiful baby boy who is now 25 months.

Does anybody know when I should contact a midwife? I have forgotten so much since my last pregnancy :-)

RedSaucePlease · 15/10/2012 15:34
