Oh goodness! The dreams! Blush I forgot about the dreams!

Welcome MrsMargo Smile

Onemoreforgoodmeasure · 14/10/2012 10:08

Hi everyone, I'm just back from holiday and sat down to this thread with my morning cuppa. Sorry to read about the bleeding and understandable worries. Fx for you all specifically, and all of us generally, on another thread we call it The Fear.

pinkapples · 14/10/2012 13:26

Any clues about sex and orgasms this early on? I haven't had any bleeding and had 1 miscarriage earlier in the year I've been to scared to do anything this time? What are everyone's views?

CuriosityColaKilledTheCat · 14/10/2012 14:53

Dreamy, I had a previous ectopic (which resolved naturally). It was spotted at 8 weeks gestation and was quite clearly in the tube. I knew something was wrong as my dates were strange (still had a period) and had no symptoms at all. I think it sounds very positive that the sac was in the womb.

When I fell pregnant with ds I had a scan at 6 weeks and got a picture of a dark grey circle on a different grey background. There isn't always a lot to see at that stage. Was it a belly scan or what we lovingly named the dildo cam? That can make a difference in how much you see too.

I have a scan booked for the 26th Oct to make sure this baby is in the right place, so know how you feel. Either way just try and take it easy in the mean time.

CuriosityColaKilledTheCat · 14/10/2012 14:54

Pinkapples, I would just go with what you feel comfortable with. I felt nervous with my first dc until I was 12 weeks and then hormones took over BlushGrin

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 14/10/2012 15:50

lmao at dildocam! my oh will love that Smile

pinkapples, there's probably nothing wrong with normal sex if you aren't bleeding. I'm avoiding it for obvious reasons!

Had my second blood test, should find out if the hcg levels have risen tomorrow morning.

pinkapples · 14/10/2012 16:20

Awww good luck James Grin

Think ill play it safe till my scan.. Has everyone booked their 1st appointment with doctor/midwife?

Squidge123 · 14/10/2012 16:33

Hi, sorry not posted since the first time, fingers crossed for everyone that are worried at min. I am 5 weeks today, feel fine but start to feel sick if don't eat for a while, feel bloated am hoping I don't start to show early!! Im trying to get motivated to go for a run soon while I still can x

Squidge123 · 14/10/2012 16:39

Not booked in with midwife yet, think last time I went at 8 weeks for the booking in appointment then had scan at 11 weeks.

EddieIzzardIsOrange · 14/10/2012 17:03

Hi, hows everyone doing? Sorry for those with bleeding etc

I'm still very, very sick, got anti-emetics from the docs but they're not doing enough so will go back tomorrow and get some stronger ones...

Scan on Friday, will be 7+5, how much are they realistically going to be able to see?

pinkapples · 14/10/2012 17:35

Check out this website Eddie

baby2see.com/development/ultrasound_sonogram/first_trimester_scans.html

I'm due to go for a scan on 29th when ill be 7+6 so nearly 8 weeks Grin

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 14/10/2012 17:49

eddie how sick are you? I'm wondering whether to go to the doctors. I'm not being sick all the time but I have that sicky taste all the time. And the only thing I can stomach is milk. I don't remember it being this bad last time. But what made you go to the doctors about it?

AnotherCerealNameChanger · 14/10/2012 17:55

I'm signing out from the thread, james and rue I hope you are ok. I decided randomly to do another HPT today and it was a BFN so I am concluding from that it was a chemical. I'm ok with it somehow, we have a lot on at work and a lot on at home and so I will be very merrily distracted.

Wishing you all a happy and healthy 9 months of pregnancy and some bouncing bonny babies in about 250+ days!

EddieIzzardIsOrange · 14/10/2012 19:18

So sorry cereal, keep well

pinkapples I'll look at that thanks, will let you know on Friday how it goes so you know what to expect!

Frustrated I'm sick probably every hour, more in a morning, mid-afternoon and late evening

I was also this sick with DS from 9-35 weeks, kept waiting for the elusive 'magic' time it would go (so 12 weeks then 16 weeks...) but it didn and when I mentioned it to my then midwife she just said "that being sick is part of having a baby" so I just thought I was being soft and got on with it

After talking to other mums though, both in rl and on here, I've since realised this isnt the case and pregnancy doesnt have to be like this since it made me so miserable (unfortunately had this epiphany after DS was born!) so this time I'm determined to be as easy on myself as possible, especially since I've got all the same I had last time (work, family etc) but now have a very active toddler to deal with daily too!

Went to the doctor who was lovely, prescribed stuff straight away, told me the midwife shouldnt have said that last time and to go back asap if I need a different/stronger drug (which it turns out I do so will be back tomorrow!)

HTH - please dont suffer, go and see your gp cos for me, it really did affect (and is atm actually) how i felt about the pregnancy and stoppped me getting excited etc

Sorry essay there!

LadyFlumpalot · 14/10/2012 19:21

Oh my flip I feel so ILL. Not sick enough to vomit, just a constant, heartburn, nauseous feeling. Constant. It's a good sign though, right? Means the hormones are still there?

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 14/10/2012 19:30

I'm glad it's not just me flump it doesn't go away, it just changes intensity during the day.

LadyFlumpalot · 14/10/2012 19:41

I did NOT have this with DS. Not at all.

Yes to the changing intensity. Nothing seems to settle it at all.

Ick.

dreamydays · 14/10/2012 19:47

Me too flump and frustrated! I've spent the whole weekend indoors and largely on the sofa. Hard to explain to DD (3) as I'm usually the active one.

eddie that sounds awful, poor you. Can't believe you were conned in to putting up with it last time. Look after yourself.

rue how are you doing?

curiosity thanks but it was actually james's scan I was replying on yesterday! Dildo cam's a good name for something I've never had the heart to name before...

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 14/10/2012 19:54

flump and dreamy do you drink milk? although I can't drink it continuously any ideas what else?

RueDeWakening · 14/10/2012 20:22

cereal sorry to hear that. FX you get a sticky BFP soon xx

Nice to see lots of new folks on the thread now too, we're filling up!

I'm not too bad thanks dreamy - had a weekend filled with taking DCs to birthday parties so have been nicely distracted, and am heading up to my local EPU tomorrow morning, hopefully they can confirm what's happening. Dildo cam again I imagine :o I'm still spotting, but old blood, and fairly lightly so I'm hoping it's just implantation. But who knows.

Lyftiduft · 14/10/2012 20:56

hi, also checking in

I think I'm about 6 weeks with DC2 (a surprise), I've had 3 previous mc but I'm now craving milk, carbs and feeling sick, plus having the weird dreams so it looks fairly promising for this one...

dreamydays · 14/10/2012 21:20

Hi lyft sorry about your mc's and fx for this time round!

rue glad to hear not too bad - hope you get good news tomorrow.

frustrated I wasn't a milk drinker even as a kid. But I've been having some hot milky drinks. I find plain carbs best: shreddies, crackers etc. and I'm craving deeply savoury foods so toast + vegemite is about perfect! I'm hungry, but when I sit down to a meal I find it hard to eat. Anyone else have ideas?

ExpatMamaToBe · 14/10/2012 21:43

Hi, joining as well. I'm 4+4 so very early days of my first pg. Was thrilled to bits when I saw this thread - none of my close friends/family have small children so I'm on my own really; PLUS away from home.

We've booked our first appointment with a GP for Wed morning and we'll take it from there.

A few symptoms so far: sore boobs, never ending visits to the loo, bloated belly, appetite and falling asleep standing up in the afternoons. Trying to stay calm and enjoy every day. Also, trying to stay away from 'google' not to worry too much.

I have added myself to the list, hope it's ok.

Sorry dreamy. It's probably to early to blame on baby brain isn't it?Grin

James hope you are ok.

I can't copy and paste on my phone so can't add stats at the moment. Will pop them on later. Smile

monal · 15/10/2012 09:05

Good morning all. Got two lines on Friday for the first time and then again on Saturday and on Sunday just to check so if it hangs on in there I will be due June 23rd (my first). I have been reading all the books for months and months and now that I actually seem to be pregnant I feel like a complete novice. I will see my GP this week and see what she tells me. Mostly I just feel like I have a digestive problem. No sore boobs, not feeling particularly sick. I did over the weekend, mind, but I feel like that was overexcitement Grin.
