Thank you people - wishing you the best for your June babies

Never had a mc before but its bloody painful even though technically I am only a few days late. DH being DH and pointing out that the timing for work next May/June wasn't exactly great Hmm

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 08/10/2012 09:45

So sorry to hear that, cereal. are you getting it checked out or do you know for sure that it's over? Poor you.

So tired this morning I slept through all the alarms (we have at least 4 different ones) I feel completely wiped out. Still getting a tiny bit of pink or brown spotting when I wipe. No sickness but I've been eating like a pig! Blush

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 08/10/2012 09:46

Sorry, xposted. Look after yourself x

AnotherCerealNameChanger · 08/10/2012 10:50

james I don't really know what to do. It was very early to find out (damn these FR tests!) and we don't book in until 9/10 weeks here. I suppose the only reason to seek medical advice is if I feel very unwell or begin to bleed even more heavily? If my cycle doesn't return to normal then I suppose I will need to visit the GP.

Hope the tiredness eases, are you getting enough iron?

Dillydollydaydream · 08/10/2012 10:51

Sorry to hear your news Cereal. Take care, lots of Nurofen if you need it and a hot water bottle helps too.

CollectorOfCookbooks · 08/10/2012 12:22

Cereal, it might be worth calling your doctor just to be sure - when I had my miscarriage at 5 weeks the doctor examined me to make sure that my cervix had opened as had it been closed I may have needed a D&C.

Have a quiet couple of days, be kind to yourself and take care

cupholdermom · 08/10/2012 14:05

hugs cereal

preggersbycheggers · 08/10/2012 14:36

Hugs cereal. I had a MC in August at 5 weeks and it wasn't very pleasant. Be kind to yourself and get lots of rest. We are here if you need us.

RueDeWakening · 08/10/2012 16:21

Cereal, round here you can self refer to epu to confirm that everything has gone iyswim - might be worth checking? The last thing you need is an infection further down the line.

AnotherCerealNameChanger · 08/10/2012 17:29

I have (rightly or wrongly) decided that I would rather not visit EPU for our area, the waiting area is directly opposite the NICU where my DC1 was. At our hospital they have the AN scans area, the NICU, delivery and EPU all in the same corridor with the waiting areas facing each other. Might make it easier for the staff but it sucks for the people waiting no matter which side you are on.

Sounds like a far few have had experience of this, I am sorry, it sucks.

ella0 · 08/10/2012 17:56

I am so sorry cereal.

MrsJLS85 · 08/10/2012 18:24

cereal so sorry to hear. Rest and take care of yourself.

If it helps at all.... I had a MC in August (was 5 weeks), and 3 weeks after the first day of heavy bleeding I conceived again. Now I'm past 6 weeks pg and feeling really positive about this one.

dreamydays · 08/10/2012 18:31

Sorry cereal. :( Do take care. Time for a large glass of Wine?

DontmindifIdo · 08/10/2012 18:39

cereal - speak to your GP, they might want to do a scan to make sure it's all gone, with my miscarriage, I had to go for a few scans to check it'd all gone because if not there's a risk of infection (only very small, but still a risk). But also hugs, take care of yourself.

thedevilisinthedetail · 09/10/2012 05:45

So sorry to hear that cereal.

preggersbycheggers · 09/10/2012 08:26

MRSJLS I was the same. Conceived immediately after losing the last pregnancy. And like you feel much more positive about this one. I didn't want to tell a soul about the last one. Am still keeping this one private for as long as possible.

Cereal - hope you are feeling ok today.
