GT I've got the tesco ones too - so I am also hoping you don't get what you pay for!

kissy I haven't packed my bag yet either. I do have a tesco bag with some bits and bobs in it - does that count?!

Iheartpasties · 26/09/2012 11:06

oh flipp, dh has cooked tea and its yuck. making me feel ill.

Titsalinabumsquash · 26/09/2012 11:16

MOT passed! Smile

Now I am back resting after a quick chat with the mw, everything seems fine, not so little one still between breech and transverse Confused so we will have to see on the next scan if he's going to behave and settle down into the preferred position.

YellowWellies · 26/09/2012 11:40

Haha MM absence makes the heart grow fonder. Especially when you get the bed to yourself. I think you both have control freak tendencies (captain food watcher!!) hence you get on so well!!!!

We don't really have a temporal pattern of movements either MM. Eating makes the baby go nuts (they literally start moving the second the first forkful is swallowed, so it must be my tummy rumbling or salivation that does it?), exercise makes the baby go quiet. DTD puts the baby to sleep and then makes them go nuts about ten mins after Blush. They wake up to my voice and DHs but don't really go mad. They give me a kicking if my bump leans against anything or I put my hand on the bump. Sometimes if I tap the bump they'll kick back. They do lots of lazy rolls when DH is massaging bio-oil onto my tum and also when swimming. They tend to hiccup early in the morning when I'm lazing in bed. But I couldn't say 'oh they're active from x o'clock to x o'clock' by any means. Does anyone have such a punctual bellydweller?

Yey on the good news tits fingers crossed the wee one reads the memo about optimal birth positioning!

Titsalinabumsquash · 26/09/2012 12:10

My belly dweller never seems to stop moving, when the midwife asked if he had a particular time of moving I just said "erm yes?!"
My DS2 was the same and he's a real lazy little monkey now. Grin

Titsalinabumsquash · 26/09/2012 12:26

I'm really hungry and DP has eaten the last tin of tomato soup!

Surely this is grounds for divorce?! Wink

YellowWellies · 26/09/2012 12:28

My lunch yesterday was boiled eggs, eton mess and mince pies Blush

Titsalinabumsquash · 26/09/2012 12:34

I discovered some oven chips lurking at the bottom of the freezer, they will have to do. Blush

misslaughalot · 26/09/2012 12:34

Not in the same bowl though....right YW?! That would be taking pregnancy cravings to the extreme!

Mmmmmm Eton Mess...

Sophiathesnowfairy · 26/09/2012 12:45

Boots mat pad £1.00 for 10 I have bought hundreds!

DesperateHousewife21 · 26/09/2012 12:58

The soft carrycot for the buggy came yesterday, I spent quite a while 'trying it out'!

Keep looking at baby clothes, just normal things like bodysuits and can't bring myself to buy any...this baby has got hardly anything!

MissMummy1 · 26/09/2012 12:58

Note to self, don't use a mirror when shaving 'down there' in the shower. Even the most untidiest lady garden has to be better than discovering your first stretchmark hidden under your bump Sad !!!!

Lunch in missmummy's house today is marmite on toast and one of those big berry fruit box thingys from tescos. And maybe some crisps. And seeing as the sugar police are still away, maybe some chocolate buttons too Blush

horseylady · 26/09/2012 14:06

I've been out for lunch the last two days!!!

Then not been able to eat much :(

Titsalinabumsquash · 26/09/2012 14:43

This little one is really beginning to hurt with his movements, my whole bump feels so bruised and tender.

I'm sure there must be some way of me hibernating until d day. Confused

Peaky1 · 26/09/2012 16:25

What are these flashing lights in front of eyes things like? I was assessing a patient today and for about 15 seconds I could see hundreds on bright white floater-type things. I'm wearing my contacts still but it's not happened before or since. I've been feeling quite rough since yesterday but attributed that to being 35 weeks today and getting tired/achey. Any thoughts? I've left a message with the midwife but she's not got back to me.

ValiumQueen · 26/09/2012 16:34

peaky exactly like you describe. Like little pixels have gone out. Best get it checked. Were you doing anything particularly exciting or was it just sitting talking to someone?

Peaky1 · 26/09/2012 16:43

Nothing exciting, just assessing a baby on a plinth and had to stop for a few seconds to blink at the wall. Poor Mum looked like she was ready to ring the delivery suite! Nothing new except starting to feel shitty in general. I'll try & ring the other midwife. I had a bath last night and rather than relaxing me I felt more like I was coming down with an achey body & feeling sick. The eyes were a total surprise today!

applepieinthesky · 26/09/2012 16:48

I feel so bloated and nauseous all the time. The kind of feeling you get when you've pigged out on a three course meal and feel so full and tender that you can't move. Only difference is this is constant. I can't handle another 7 weeks of this Sad

Thechick · 26/09/2012 16:51

I don't really get that many kicks, but he's been like that all the way through. I get enough to not worry but there's no real pattern and I can get him to move if I'm really worried. He is head down and mostly has his back against my belly and likes to push his feet against my lungs which literally takes my breath away or feels like braxton hicks until I look down and have an uneven bump and I get swooshes. At my scan they think he's 4lb 8oz at 32 weeks so there's prob not much room in there for kicks.

YellowWellies · 26/09/2012 16:55

Wow the chick he's a lovely size! Mine was 3'11 at 31+5 - I'm wondering if that means I'm pink?

Thechick · 26/09/2012 16:58

He feels like he's that size, lol!! I think they gain 0.5 lb a week in the 3rd tri or is that us??

ValiumQueen · 26/09/2012 17:02

peaky I have had flashy lights when doing absolutely nothing. I am going to get my blood pressure checked tomorrow as it may be that creaping up again. I had minor pre-eclampsia at 39 weeks with the girls, so I need to keep an eye on any symptoms like that. No swelling or headaches so not overly worried.

Feel like I have done 10 rounds with Tyson each time I do anything. Have done 50 miles so far just with school, nursery and DH run, and still need to go back to nursery and railway station. Did a big shop at Tesco this morning on my own and felt about 90.

Going to meet with the Head teacher tomorrow morning, then have MW then need to take DD2 to the doctor as she appears to have an infected clitoral hood, which at 2 and in nappies is not much fun. She says it is sore when I change her, but playing and sleeping fine. May just be a build up of her natural lubricants, but best get it checked. So much for being able to rest on Mat Leave. I wonder sometimes how I manage to fit work in!

ValiumQueen · 26/09/2012 17:04

Imagine how I feel with a 6lb 3 boy, and that was 10 days ago. In third trimester, they gain aprox 1/2lb a week, and we gain an additional 1/2 lb (or more)

horseylady · 26/09/2012 17:06

Baby gains about .5 lbs a week!!! It's crazy!!

I often feel fat and full all day. Not long to go though ladies!!! In fact I think about as much time for me (if not less!!) than waiting for my first scan and that flew by!!!! 35 weeks tomorrow. Scary that in two I'll be classed as full term and about to leave work for 9 months!!!

Bought three more sleep suits, two hats and some scratch things. All set now I hope in terms of buying bits for his immediate arrival!!

applepieinthesky · 26/09/2012 17:11

Is everyone else having baby in their room until 6 months? DP is insisting he goes straight into his own room and I feel sad about it already.
