Congratulations Daisy on your little boy :)

Titsalinabumsquash · 25/09/2012 16:26

I'm ok ladies! Very grateful for your concern.
I have been asleep all day after one of those conversations with DP.
I'm feeling a lot better, I have some AF type cramps but no regular bh like last night. It's the midwife's clinic tomorrow though so I can always pop in and get checked over. Smile

ValiumQueen · 25/09/2012 16:30

garden so sorry to hear that. I am very conscious of where I park at the best of times, being a fat arse, but sometimes people manage to block you even if there should be plenty of room. Bastard! Last week I could not get in my car at the school as some twat had parked on the pavement next to me. Thankfully he was picking up his kid too so I did not have to wait long. I am glad DH rescued you x Thanks

ValiumQueen · 25/09/2012 16:32

I sincerely hope you do tits as you are not doing our blood pressure any good! Glad you are feeling not too bad, but still worried about you x

ValiumQueen · 25/09/2012 16:35

I am gonna get myself checked out on Thursday as I have had the odd flashing lights display. Have not told DH as he would go bonkers. No other symptoms though.

YellowWellies · 25/09/2012 18:03

Me and a lovely old dear got parked in leaving a shop as pedestrians last week, some drunken lady on long term disability had parked her car right outside the shop door totally blocking any access (we have narrow streets in town) so she could pop into the local store to get her cash and her slab of tennants extra. The old dear I was stuck with went batshit at her! The drunk lady just wend off with her cash and supplies. am not pissy that my taxes go to pay for shit like that

ValiumQueen · 25/09/2012 18:18

Good lord YW that is crazy!

applepieinthesky · 25/09/2012 18:25

I think I would have cried too garden being stuck there all that time. It has happened to me a couple of times, the other week I had get in the company car at work on the passenger side and climb over because the drivers side was too close to the car next to it. Not fun at 7 months pregnant.

applepieinthesky · 25/09/2012 18:43

Oh I forgot to mention that the last couple of days I have been having period type pains quite low down. Is this normal? I feel fine otherwise and don't have any other symptoms but a bit worried after Googling it (I know) and someone saying it was an early sign of labour for them. Please tell me it's not. I can't wait to meet my little boy but want him to stay put for a few more weeks.

CandyPop · 25/09/2012 18:51

Congratulations daisy! Hope he's growing stronger by the day!

Wow it's all getting closer isn't it? I'm 32+4 now. 5 weeks left at work.... Gonna sort out my maaternity bag this weekend althought there are some items on my baby shower gift list that will go into bag... I will be 35 weeks then so hope I'm not leaving it too late .

My travel system was due for delivery on Monday but have been informed that they have supply issues with the iCandy strawberry... Angry we have been waiting for over 3 months! iCandy still can't confirm a date... Argh so now is the dilemma of waiting it out or cancelling and getting something else.... Hmmmm

Evilwater · 25/09/2012 18:59

Congrats dasiy

I'm getting to that stage where, I want him out or at lest move down. So I'm having a curry, but I don't know which one to have. Spicy is the order of the day.Grin

Had a day where I've just slept, I've felt snotty, and heavy. I've also had a headache, most of the day. I wonder if I've caught a cold. I get to see the midwife tomorrow. 37 weeks this week, and baby has shown no sign of wanting to get out. Nothing... Nada.

Passmethecrisps · 25/09/2012 19:34

Fantastic news daisy! Amazing news.

Your wee girl sounds like a total star VQ. You re handling the whole situation with pragmatism and grace - if only everyone was able to manage such things.

Just back from yoga. I am not bendy

TheDetective · 25/09/2012 20:17

Garden I had the same thing happen to me at work 2 weeks ago. Some total inconsiderate twat had parked their car so close to mine that pregnant or not, I had no chance of getting in to it.

Luckily a colleague happened to turn up just as I was stood there thinking WTF do I do, and was contemplating climbing over the passenger side. She did it for me, and pulled my car out! Phew!

Didn't stop me raging at the idiots in my head for the rest of the day.

What is it about today that means everyone feels like crap? I had a lazy day too, and will probably end up paying for it tonight. DP said he will sleep on the sofa because he is the cause of my sleepless nights, meaning days are tired and unproductive. And I need to sleep well tonight because tomorrow is my last proper day off til 4th Oct, but that day I have to wait in all day for a m/w appt. Not off then til 8th, and i'll be 36 weeks + then, so I'd really like to get all the last bits sorted tomorrow on payday also we have a high school open evening Shock to attend eeeeeek. So I need to feel refreshed Grin. Plus my shopping trip means braving Ikea, and you need to not be grumpy for that don't you?!

I might start a thread about DP's unsocial sleeping habits, because we need advice, before I melt down! I'm actually quite grateful to be on nights this weekend, because I know i'll get unbroken sleep! And by unbroken, I mean unbroken to the point of lying there awake all night because he is snoring/heavy breathing/stealing the duvet/sweating/trying to steal my side of the bed. I can cope with waking, but then not being able to get back to sleep because of the above is a bloody pain in the arse.

YellowWellies · 25/09/2012 20:25

I hauled my arse off the sofa and went swimming this evening whilst DH cooked tea. And now I feel, to quote the advert, epic. Lots of my aches and pains have disappeared.... even if I did feel like a great big whale and found out too late that the towel I'd brought to dry myself with didn't quite hardly at all wrap around me! Am going to go twice a week from now on I reckon. Swimming using a float lying on my front was bliss - I've not laid on my front in nigh on three months! Ahhhh. I hope it helps me sleep tonight.

TheDetective · 25/09/2012 20:45

I'm still sleeping on my front, with the bump cocooned with pillows Grin

I love swimming when pregnant, just makes you feel so weightless! Haven't been for a few weeks though, must make more effort!

None of my towels completely cover the bump these days :( Bad times! You are not alone!

horseylady · 25/09/2012 20:50

:( I'm really dizzy and really tired :( I've nearly fawn over 3 times since 5pm:( thank god I'm off work tomorrow!!

The baby has spent the day in a difficult position and it's making me feel rubbish I can't do anything it's so painful!!! I just think it's too early to go to bed!!

Detective no idea about your dp - we have a duvet each though!! Saves the stealing arguments!! Yw I might try swimming tomorrow. Unless i still feel like this!!

StuntNun · 25/09/2012 20:58

DS2 just got poo on my bed, FFS he's six years old! I think the poor lad may have a dire rear. Off to change the duvet cover.

Baby is making a break for it Alien chest-burster style which is fun to watch.

Then to the bath...

Congratulations Daisy! Hope you get cuddles soon.

Long hours at work at the moment and DP away so feeling a bit emotional tonight..must pull self together.

Evilwater · 25/09/2012 21:01

Having a baby brain moment, what's the different between vests and baby grows?

StuntNun · 25/09/2012 21:09

Baby gros have long sleeves and legs with feet on. Vests have short sleeves and no legs.

OP posts:
Evilwater · 25/09/2012 21:10

Thanks stunt, I'm re packing my bag. Just to make sure I have everything.

ValiumQueen · 25/09/2012 21:12

Vests don't have legs, just poppas under the bum, and can have no sleeves, short or long sleeves. Gros have legs with feet sewn in, and long sleeves usually.

TheDetective · 25/09/2012 21:15

I repacked my bag countless times with DS Grin

No idea why, I just liked doing it! I think I was worried about things getting creased!!

ValiumQueen · 25/09/2012 21:17

Thank you pass. I had to smile at your 'not bendy' comment. I bet horsey is still bendy.

Evilwater · 25/09/2012 21:24

Going home outfit? Do I have to have a baby gro??
