StuntNun · 25/09/2012 08:35

Congratulations Daisy. It's a shame things didn't go as planned but he's here safely now and that's all that matters in the end. I hope you are being well looked after as I'm sure you need some recovery time after all that. Best wishes to all of you.

Wow congratulations Daisy! No, not the way you planned it but great that the hospital acted quickly to make sure you and the baby were safe, I'm sure he will continue to have great care to get his strength up and then you will be taking your lovely little boy home. Keep us posted!

Congratulations Daisy, hope that you recover well from your section and your little boy does well.

VQ no advice to offer but lots of sympathy. Keep chatting if it helps. You and your DH sound like very supportive parents to your DD.

misslaughalot · 25/09/2012 09:02

Daisy congratulations on your little boy,I hope you get to take him home soon :)
Take care of yourself and do keep us updated. Thanks

Wow, babies arriving already, I really really must finish packing my hospital bag just in case!

YellowWellies · 25/09/2012 09:44

Congrats Thanks Daisy I was 4lb 4oz when I was born and now I'm the size of a small house he'll be fine!!!! That's a really good weight for 33 weeks. What a little champ. Don't be scared by the NICU - the nurses there are the most amazing folks. It won't be long til he's home with you. I can't wait to hear what you've called him. Lots of love to you and your little family xxxxx

Dixiebell · 25/09/2012 09:57

Congratulations Daisy!! How exciting. Anyone feeling a birth announcements list coming on...?

ValiumQueen · 25/09/2012 09:58

I had a sneaky suspicion you were up to something daisy as you had not posted. Congratulations! I am so glad your little boy has arrived safely, although what an ordeal for you. As others have said though, all that matters is he and you are safe. Do take care though, you have been through an operation, and sometimes people forget this, so really need to be kind to yourself during your recovery. Thanks

Thank you all for your sound advice and clear compassion for my little girl. Her leg is bruised and grazed this morning, but better than I thought it would be. She says she is angry with the boy, and is frightened of him, but was happy to go to school as she has good friends, and trusts her teacher.

Thank you in particular for Stunt sharing about your boy. I am painfully aware that there is another mummy and daddy with their precious son involved in all this. I do not know what his particular difficulties are, but I am guessing Aspergers and ADHD from what I have observed. My beloved brother has Aspergers, only diagnosed last year at age 47, and it has been fascinating and quite distressing hearing how he has seen life. He was just my big bro, and still is, but it shows what a brave strong man he has been to cope with what he has.

I have been emailing the Head at each turn, so have a clear record of communication. I have faith in the Head as my work involves a lot of child protection, and have heard excellent things about her. I will mention about the violence at home. I was concerned about confidentiality, but I also need to realise that sharing this is actually possibly a good thing for the family. I trust the Head to deal with this information appropriately.

tits I am worrying about you. Please get yourself looked at. My concern is it may be Pre-eclampsia, not that I am an expert, just a concerned virtual friend x

Iheartpasties · 25/09/2012 10:06

tits yes i am worried for you too.

I feel sick.

daisy try and look after yourself :)

DonnaDoon · 25/09/2012 10:10

Daisy Congratulations x

TheDetective · 25/09/2012 10:31

Congratulations Daisy on your little boy! What a good weight he is too! Considering raised BP is one of the things which causes low birth weight, he's got to a good size!

I hope you are feeling well, and recover quickly, and baby gets well enough to come home soon!

Can't wait to see a picture of him! Have you thought of a name for him yet? :)

WaitingForMe · 25/09/2012 10:31

Congratulations daisy

Catbag · 25/09/2012 10:49

Congratulations Daisy! Not quite what you were expecting in terms of labour and such like, but I imagine much safer for you both this way Thanks

Brockle · 25/09/2012 10:55

VQ your little girl sounds fantastic. What a grown up head on little shoulders!I really hope a solution can be reachedwhich makes everyone happy.

I had to take DS1 to NICU every day for treatment when he was born and the nurses and doctors there were just amazing.

Elizadoesdolittle · 25/09/2012 11:04

Wow daisy congratulations. Glad you are both doing well. Looking forward to hearing what you decide to call him and of course seeing a picture. Hope you get the rest and recovery time you need.
