Mine is also being less that caring apple I'm really hurting, tightenings are getting worse I would consider calling the hospital if they continue much longer, but no no he's going to the gym. Apparently last minute calls from friends are far more important that getting checked out. 33+2 weeks here and slightly worried. Angry

I might just go straight to bed and leave him to it.

jaylee89 · 24/09/2012 17:51

i think we in same boat tits my BH are lasting at least one min each time and quite crampy in my back. am slightly worrying. your a day ahead of me and i hope for both our sakes these babies stay put!(for now)

men are fuck wits sometimes they have no bloody clue how we feel or what we go through, we grow and keep the babies safe then we give birth which is very painful and they get the best and easy part .......newborn snuggles!!!! well no wonder men are the ones who have the babies.........all they would do is moan from day one!......GIRL POWER!!!

jaylee89 · 24/09/2012 17:53

i ment no wonder the men ARE NOT the ones who have the babies............losing my mind i think!

applepieinthesky · 24/09/2012 17:55

tits and jaylee please get yourselves checked out. Just in case.

How come men never seem to grow up? Sometimes I wonder wtf I'm doing having a baby with him. Don't get me wrong, I love my son to bits already but I'm not sure sometimes if DP is ready for this. He needs to pull himself together pretty quick. I couldn't help myself bursting into tears and he has now apologised but I'm still majorly pissed off with him.

Titsalinabumsquash · 24/09/2012 17:59

I can always get checked by myself if need be, I'm quite used to looking after myself.

DP is usually great, he just doesn't get stuff some of the time. I do worry but hey ho I'm sure it will work out once little one is safely here. Smile

applepieinthesky · 24/09/2012 18:02

tits have you got someone else around who can come with you? You really should get it checked if they are painful and frequent.

I hope it's a false alarm for both of you, we don't want any more babies until at least October thank you.

ValiumQueen · 24/09/2012 18:03

tits hope it soon settles, and I am sure you will get yourself checked if it doesn't. Your DP is clearly a twat. Feel free to tell him I said so.

detective enjoy complaining? I find that very hard to believe!

horseylady · 24/09/2012 18:03

Does the baby need a hat? For hospital? What about scratch mitten things?

Apple hugs - men canbe shits!!

ValiumQueen · 24/09/2012 18:06

You too jaylee

apple I am not quite sure my DH is ready either, and it is our third. They do not understand, and it does not become real until the little one is pooing and puking all over them.

jaylee89 · 24/09/2012 18:06

tits yours seem alot more like something maybe happening..........if you are worried call midwife asap just to see what her input on the situation is. mine seem to been easing off now thank god.

hope your ok hun and were all here for you to unload on have a nice Brew and Biscuitfrom me Grin

jaylee89 · 24/09/2012 18:07

thank you ladies i dont think i would be able to function properly without all you lovely lot

ValiumQueen · 24/09/2012 18:09

horsey baby deffo needs a hat for the first day or two in hospital. They will put a fetching tubigrip hat on it if you do not have one. I would say scratch mits are good too until you feel confident enough to trim their nails and they have stopped whacking themselves in the face. Maybe your sleepsuits have built in mits? They are best, or even socks tbh as more likely to stay on.

ValiumQueen · 24/09/2012 18:10

Good yours are easing jaylee

How ya doin' tits ?

horseylady · 24/09/2012 18:17

Vq thanks!! No Mits included so will get some and hats!! I'd rather he didn't have tubi grip!!! Poor thing (though we use it up cover people's hair!!)

Jaylee glad yours are easibg, tits - get seen!!!

Babies bag bar hat and mitten things is packed!!

Dixiebell · 24/09/2012 18:23

Just to contradict valium, Wink, I wouldn't think a hat is necessary in hospital, it's baking on the wards anyway. But def need one for journey home. And I never used scratch mitts although did have them. Thought it was a shame to cover beautiful tiny hands and ds never scratched himself, but maybe have some on hand in case.

applepieinthesky · 24/09/2012 18:26

I very rarely argue with DP and when I do its usually over the most stupid thing.

Gosh lots of you have got bags packed already. I think I've got almost everything I need, just have to get a decent bag to put it all in. It's mine and DP's payday Friday so he can treat me Grin

Dixiebell · 24/09/2012 18:26

MWs never put a hat or tubigrip or anything on ds! Might post a newborn photo of him on the fb group actually, just to show off my gorgeous boy for the hell of it.

DesperateHousewife21 · 24/09/2012 18:36

I'm taking a hat for the hospital. I didn't for ds but it was July and v hot they didn't give me anything for his head.

Titsalinabumsquash · 24/09/2012 18:39

They've not got worse or better, I'm going to have a shower and go to bed, if they get even remotely worse I'll call labour ward and I shall call mw tomorrow regardless.

I have a few people around if worst comes to the worst.

I might buy DP a book, I have discovered he actually knows nothing about labour and birth. Any suggestions?

jaylee89 · 24/09/2012 18:49

make him watch OBEM over and over and over again tits he will get the bloody idea then ......trust me!

he will worship the ground you walk on after watching a couple of episodes of that show.......also very good for you aswel i absolutely love it!

i made DH watch all series with me and he found them very interesing but also disturbing i think it hit home a little after he watched them and he seemed to understand a little more after watching them.

Titsalinabumsquash · 24/09/2012 19:00

I might just do that. Smile

Btw, for anyone that still needs stuff, kiddiecare are having a flash sale from 11am tomorrow morning. Smile

ValiumQueen · 24/09/2012 19:22

Now there's a dilemma horsey Grin perhaps best to ask detective

Passmethecrisps · 24/09/2012 20:20

Aargh! Boots Parenting Club welcome pack came today - after I spent money in there on Saturday. I signed up weeeeeeeeeks ago.

We have lots of little hats so we can take one with us.

Very nice VQ. I've never been there actually.

Re the coat dilemma, I am making do with one I have. I could move the buttons actually and I would be able to close it. At the moment it is doing the job.

I think baby is resting his noggin on my hip bone. It was really quite painful driving home. I think I had a wee energy surge t work earlier and managed to leap up the stairs in my old style. Sadly nobody was there to witness my awesome bounding - all anyone else ever sees is me hauling myself up stairs and slowly plodding from class to class. Humph.

Hope people with strange happenings get a bit of reassurance and peace soon. Sounds pretty scary.

ValiumQueen · 24/09/2012 20:23

pass you could always go back in and get your points added. I would think they would consider that, plus the changing bag is a must.

Passmethecrisps · 24/09/2012 20:38

It is the changing bag I was really after. The money off a car seat would have been grand as well mind you. I will need more of everything I bought anyway. I will pop in this weekend and see if they will do the points for me
