detective sounds like you had an awful night :(
And don't worry, my DP is the same at night, I especially hate the sweating and when he annoyingly 'chews the air' it sounds disgusting!
Also not amusing when he complains he doesn't have enough room when I'm practically hanging off the edge anyway, and when he ends up nearly on top of me. Angry
Now that I'm up and down all night with needing to pee/pgp/heartburn anyway it is irritating just how many of his bad sleeping habits I'm witnessing. I always look forward to having the bed to myself when he leaves for work at 5am!

As for coats, I bought a sort of wrap around fake fur/suede (it sounds horrible but it's gorgeous) coat from New look when I was pregnant with DD, and it's fab because all the extra material at the front allows room for bump and when not pregnant falls nicely, and its so lovely and warm I couldn't imagine having another coat!

It's raining here too, has been all night, and I'm loving it! It makes a nice change from being too warm all the time.

I really hope the next 7 weeks go quickly, i'm getting quite uncomfortable and fed up now. I remember this stage well, hurry up due date!

DonnaDoon · 24/09/2012 11:32

Stupid stupid me bought a lovely mamas and papas bouncer on saturday at a market 30 miles away it is lovely and for forty quid I thought it would be worth it as it supposed to sing and auto swing....IT DOESNT WORK...Boo hoo ..dont fancy my chances of a refund with no proof of purchase...silly me should have thouroghly checked it out first.

Titsalinabumsquash · 24/09/2012 11:41

I managed to squeeze into my arctic storm snow jacket after all and it just zipped up.

Completely bailed on my physio appointment though Blush by the time I realised I was supposed to be there I was already back home roasting the chicken for dinner and warm and comfy.
Baby is a jitter bug today right down in my right hip of all places?! Wtf is that about?

horseylady · 24/09/2012 11:58

Tits swap you for my rib dweller lol!!

I was given a 'mat jacket' only to actually look at it properly and realise it was a size 18 jacket that made me feel like a bat!! I couldn't cope with it!! Thankfully my normal jackets fit in a fashion, so I'll wear them.

Still raining here....and after today I only have one more Monday morning as I'm off next week!!!

misslaughalot · 24/09/2012 11:58

Just come back from my 32 week check with the mw. It seems my baby is growing on the large side as the 28 week measurement and today's measurement are both plotted on the 90th centile line. I know it's not 100% accurate but it looks like if I go to 40 weeks I could be having a 9lb baby Confused

I also broke our bed yesterday Blush. We've only had it 4 weeks! I was sitting on the corner drying my hair, as I've done several times before, but yesterday the frame just gave out and now there's no support for the mattress on the bottom corner. DP is sleeping on that side (he's very slight and hardly weighs anything) and hopefully we can do a reinforcement job on it rather than just get a new one as it'll probably happen again. I official, I feel like a hippo...

MissMummy1 · 24/09/2012 12:07

After 4 weeks can you not return it?? I'd say that's a manufacturing flaw as legally they need to be able to hack massive weights - and I'm sure you're not hippo like in the slightest! Bloody annoying though, hope you were okay when it broke.

DH just phoned to say he's doing sea survival today. Basically they're ditching him in a pool set up to be like a storm (pitch dark, wind turbines, wave machines and strobe flashes) in a helicopter and timing how long it takes him to get himself and his crew out alive. All sounds very action man and so much cooler (repeat, not jealous) than the sea survival course I did 2 years ago (shit, realisation it's now expired!) The neurotic hormonal worrier in me is freaking out that something might go wrong though. Hmm

WaitingForMe · 24/09/2012 12:46

I bought a Jack Wills hoodie a few months ago. It's a mans large and I'm wearing that instead of a coat. It's really snuggly.

I just ordered some stuff from LaRedoute and am getting a free poncho. I'm hoping that'll do me as a winter coat for the last few weeks of pregnancy and immediately afterwards. I then have a gorgeous new coat I hope will fit within a few weeks.

YellowWellies · 24/09/2012 13:02

Oh good luck to T MM1. Ads did the BOSIAT (Sp?) one where they get plunged in a helicopter into the pool upside down and have to get out, last year. I shat myself until I knew he was ok. It is scary!

The storm from south is on it's way here just a bit of drizzle yet, but we're due Force 9 or 10 tomorrow when I'm working from home so I hope it's not too scary....

MissMummy1 · 24/09/2012 13:05

I think his is an STCW95? They're doing the helicopter plunge today, more sea survival tomorrow, 2 days of firefighting (aghhh!) and then a day of something equally scary - baby brain forgets what. My sea survival consisted of swimming a couple of lengths and launching a life raft! In a local ordinary pool!! He seems to be enjoying it though. Apparently the food in the hotel's good so he's happy. Grin

kissyfur · 24/09/2012 13:32

I've got a swing coat from a few years back that I wore last PG, hopefully that'll do again this year as I don't want to buy a maternity one. Think a big rain mac might be better for this weather tho!!!

Titsalinabumsquash · 24/09/2012 14:44

I've just received all the baby blankets that I used for the DSs. My sister has had them. I'm washing them all an reminiscing

Dixiebell · 24/09/2012 14:44

For those with sore hips at night, I had this last time round too from about 16 weeks. I found that once it gets unbearable the best relief was to sleep propped up with pillows behind, almost sitting. Also can lie sideways like that, it's slightly awkward but amazingly unpainful. I got a memory foam mattress topper when it started this time, but doesn't seem to help. I have become expert at turning over every 30mins and falling straight back asleep in between.

I am 31 weeks now. Last time my waters started leaking in middle of night a few days after EDD, although I convinced myself it must have just been pee at the time, and waters didn't properly go until a few days later. But looking back, I'm sure that's what it was. So as I get closer, I keep imaging I can feel it happening again, especially in middle of night. Not yet please! Hate all the worrying. Scan next week too to check low lying placenta, hopefully that will be good news...

TheDetective · 24/09/2012 15:03

Misslaughalot I'd be contacting the manufacturer for sure! Where did you get it from?! It isn't fit for purpose doing that after 4 weeks use!

It's my favourite pastime... complaining you'd never know it Grin

MissMummy That sounds pretty awesome to me, but then if it was DP doing it, I'd be worried too! Saying that, my DP is lacking in sea skills to begin with Grin so.... hmm!

DP helpfully informed me that I was waddling today. Mmmm. Sensitive these men aren't they! I'm actually waddling because after walking around town for an hour, my whole leg from thigh to ankle was hurting, the one that has been aching since saturday. Ow. Going to get DS from school, then I'm going to sit down and do some hypnobirthing stuff have a nap that I have been advised to practice!

Tried to get some maternity bra's from M&S. They had 2 styles. Both hideous. One more hideous than the other. Guess which was the only one they had in my size... I'm also not convinced by the woman measuring me either. Think i'll look else where. I was measured as a 38E. Actually, no, she measured me at a 40E, but it was huge around the back. I did tell her that I usually needed a back size smaller than what they measured me at. She reluctantly agreed after seeing me in the 40! Oh, and if I had bought the offending items, you'd of been able to see my bra above my neckline on pretty much all my clothing!!

Got a phone call earlier offering me an earlier appointment for the venogram this Friday, but I'm on nights, and after last friday where I stayed up for midwife appt, I'm not making the same mistake twice. It practically killed me off! The woman on the phone was a bit incredulous, as in 'well what time do you finish nights'. I don't care what time I finish, I'm not getting up or staying up when I'm in the middle of 4 night shifts, and will be straight back on days after! I'll just stick to the monday, friday was the only day I couldn't do! I find people who don't work nights, or who have never known anyone work them just don't understand. It isn't as easy as just staying up, or getting up early, they are so much more tiring because you are fighting with your body clock. I can cope with working in the day and feeling tired, but tiredness in the middle of nights when you can't do anything about it, and can only see the long long night ahead of you, is crippling! Bah humbug!

Anyway, I was rather hoping the pain will have gone by monday so I can justify cancelling it. I really really really don't want the risk to my baby :( But I know the risk to not having it too. :(

I'm secretly jealous of all you lot packing bags! I'm not doing one, but now I want to! I feel left out! I have utilised a draw in babys wardrobe for birth related stuff, such as new pjs/feeding shirt/knickers/inco pads etc. But it isn't the same! I did eye up a new bag to buy. Just in case. But the one I liked was £27. I'm not paying that! I'll just stick with carrier bags ;)

Urghhh, back out in the rain now!

DesperateHousewife21 · 24/09/2012 15:52

Got absolutely soaked today too, I don't mind though after yesterday's boring day I was just glad to be out doing things. I also don't have a coat that does up so bump got wet!

Had mw this morn, all ok except a trace of protein in wee so have to go back next week.
Also she said I need the flu jab, has anyone had this or going to have this? Not really sure about it Confused

horseylady · 24/09/2012 16:01

I have flu jab every year and it's fine. Figure I may as well be vaccinated if it's offered. It's stopped raining here!!

Elizadoesdolittle · 24/09/2012 16:06

dh21 I booked my flu jab today. It seems standard in my area to offer them to pregnant women. I have no reservations about having it.

Titsalinabumsquash · 24/09/2012 16:13

Holy crap I'm having some very painful braxton hicks ATM, real breath takers! I forgot how solid a bump can get. It's them that strat from the bac and come round the frint.

TheDetective · 24/09/2012 16:18

Just been riffling through the baby clothes in the wardrobe and it has got me all excited! I love baby clothes!

I've shared a pic on fb, I've got newborn, up to 1st month, 0-3 and a few 3-6 month bits so far. Not got everything in there yet, as some has been washed and is waiting to be ironed but it is getting me all giddy thinking of how much I have loved being a mum, and I get to do it over again, while still having the enjoyment that DS1 brings! (DS1... gulp! Soon to have DS2 too!)

I'm now tucked up in bed, watching the rain fall from the window, and I'm just chilling out while DS and DP play xbox downstairs. Peace and quiet for me now!

Off to look up baby names, and actually think seriously about a name now. Have a small list, but I'm sure the right name is out there somewhere!

Titsalinabumsquash · 24/09/2012 16:19

It's glorious sun here now Hmm I was enjoying being cosy indoors with a roast dinner.

TheDetective · 24/09/2012 16:20

Tits I get some strong ones too, I can't say they are painful, but they do make me stop for a moment, and rub the bump trying to ease them up! I think they are worse when the baby moves at the same time!

I can't believe how hard the bump can be either!

DesperateHousewife21 · 24/09/2012 16:38

Ok I'll go down to the docs and sort that out tomorrow then.

Found a v v nice bag in river island that could double up as a changing bag and with my £10 voucher would only cost £35 this one look at all the compartments and handy storage!

DonnaDoon · 24/09/2012 16:47

DH21 Didnt you get the cupcake one in the end that you linked from ebay aaaaaages ago ?

jaylee89 · 24/09/2012 17:32

hmmm only quick post from me.

lost part of my mucus plug today not sure if this means anything (hopefully it doesnt) and having very strong BH not painful but bump going very hard indeed!.

feel alot of pressure and am actually worrying myself silly. didnt lose mucus plug until 38 weeks with DD so at 33+1 im starting to panic. ive heard you can lose it and it replenishes but jeeeeze....... anyone else had this??????

DesperateHousewife21 · 24/09/2012 17:33

donna no I didn't get it in the end can't remember what my reason was!

applepieinthesky · 24/09/2012 17:35

I'm having the flu jab. It's recommended for all pregnant women and its free so I just have to go along to the drop in session.

DP is being a total fucking idiot, he needs to grow up. I asked him to help me get my clothes out the washing machine because I find it difficult to bend down there now. He followed me in the kitchen and just watched me struggle so I said 'you should be doing this, not me' at which point he did. He handed me a tshirt and I playfully hit him on the back of the head with it and he yelled out like someone had stabbed him in the chest Hmm apparently it caught him in the eyes but the total overreaction and how he spoke to me afterwards has made me livid! Now he wants an apology from me. He can go fuck himself. It's going to be a very long evening Sad

Now sitting here trying not to let him see me cry.
