Yeah I feel like I've got a cold. Not really coughing anything up, chest just feels very heavy when I wake up so assume it's a fluid build up if some sort. Nose on the other hand is very full!! I can clear that!! Think it's a lack of space and an inability to breath deeply.

Will try some oils see if it keeps them any clearer?!

MissMummy1 · 21/09/2012 17:17

Ha, DH regularly opts to decamp to the spare room as my restlessness and inability to go more than 2 hours without needing to get up for a wee keeps him awake! Last night was the first time in over a fortnight we've slept in the same bed! He's more tolerant on his weeks off, but when he's at sea for 12 hours a day and his job depends on him being able to stay awake I can understand he really needs sleep. He now works nights 1 week in every 4 as well so I have a choice of 3 beds Smile. Ironically though, it's just dawned on me that from Sunday he's possibly going to be away for 10 days and I'm worried I'm going to miss sleeping beside him...

Somehow I have managed to concoct a meal for tonight out of the miserable amount of food we have in the house. Figured if neither of us have eaten before we brave a tesco shop together it will end in certain divorce Wink. So, macaroni cheese with chipper chips (if he gets my text in time) it is! Another pregnancy craving hopefully satisfied. Grin

MissMummy1 · 21/09/2012 17:18

Hope you feel better soon horsey. Have a quick google of which oils are safe to use in pregnancy as I know some are a bit questionable! x

YellowWellies · 21/09/2012 17:21

I'll miss sleeping beside DH even if he is able to drop off to sleep like a cat - in a matter of seconds - and then just snores peacefully like a child. I could kill him!! Last night bless him, he'd had a bad dream about losing me (I think someone is stressed about the birth) and woke me up to give me a big cuddle and tell me how much he loves me. Awwwww apart from the wake up bit, foolish husband

Sophiathesnowfairy · 21/09/2012 17:46

horsey that sounds rough. If it doesn't clear up you should see someone. I did have a cold and it took an extra two weeks to get rid of all the catarrh and rubbish, I just think it s because everything is so squashed. I had it with dd2 as well and they offered me antibiotics but I didn't want to take them when regnant, miraculously it cleared up after I had given birth.

stunt just caught one of your ver earlier/yesterday posts, I have had a lot of episiotomy scare soreness in this pregnancy, mainy if I am tired of standing a lot. Time to put your feet up my love.

Is my leaving meal from work today, will treat myself to a glass of wine I think.

SunnyPie · 21/09/2012 17:58

Marking place Grin hello izzy long time no speak

ValiumQueen · 21/09/2012 18:04

We are quite vulnerable to chest infections at this stage as we cannot breathe in fully, and having a compromised immunity, so do take care of yourselves.

kissyfur · 21/09/2012 18:18

Evening everyone

Hope you feel better soon horsey and peaky

Had a growth scan today, they think baby is 4lb 9 already! No wonder everyone keeps commenting on how big I am.

Am tempted to watch OBEM but not sure if I should, I was in bits for the twins and triplets one

DesperateHousewife21 · 21/09/2012 18:23

Ahh finally done a poo after about 3 days of nothing. She's started moving more since going too, I'm sure it squashes her when I haven't been in a while!

sophia I know you asked ages ago but I get BHs alot more now, think I'm a couple of weeks behind you but getting a sense that I need to get a move on and sort things, buy things, get things down from the loft etc.

Peaky1 · 21/09/2012 18:29

Thanks for the waterproofing tip. Shower curtain...genius, ha! Plus I have a pound shop down the road from me.

Horsey, I was awake a lot last night with one blocked nostril. One! Was driving me bonkers. However, I propped up (still on my side) on more pillows and cushions, whacked some vicks on and sprayed some becanase (sp? nasal spray) and it was like witchcraft, I went straight off to sleep!

applepieinthesky · 21/09/2012 18:30

Back from our short break at Center Parcs which was lovely. We were really lucky with the weather and had sunshine all week even if it was a bit cold. I went swimming everyday when we were there and found it has really helped with my achy muscles. I should make an effort to keep it up now I'm home.

32 weeks today and only 3 weeks left at work. Don't know how I'm going to drag myself in on Monday morning. Oh well, not for much longer.

I've got a terrible cold which started off as a sore throat and it's now developed into a bad cough which is going to my chest. Not good. There's not much I can take for it either is there? I've resisted taking anything so far but a bit concerned it is going to my chest and I have asthma.

Now got to go back and catch up on the 18 pages of thread I missed! Hope you are all well.

ValiumQueen · 21/09/2012 18:41

apple GP and antibiotics for you probably. Glad you had a fab time!

ValiumQueen · 21/09/2012 18:44

peaky beconase should be used with caution in pregnancy and a doctors opinion should be sought first, which I am sure you did. Every sodding thing should have a doctors opinion first it seems!

ValiumQueen · 21/09/2012 18:47

Vicks too it seems, although no known risk.

ValiumQueen · 21/09/2012 18:47

Tissues are safe so long as you do not ingest them.

GTbaby · 21/09/2012 19:01

Omg. Been sat in dr waiting room for an hour now. All I wana do is scream at receptionist. Sitting in these fucking hard chairs is agony. But standing does my pelvis no good either. Doing my nut it.

ValiumQueen · 21/09/2012 19:04

Sorry GT are you ok? Apart from being sore and fed up obviously.

Catbag · 21/09/2012 19:38
Passmethecrisps · 21/09/2012 19:54

Oh noes! What if I accidentally snort a tissue?

Hoorah hoorah hoorah it's Friday! Woot! 2 weeks left of work. I walked into a class pretty late today and as I walked in apologising for being late one of the kids said "phew, we thought your waters might have broken!" Starting labour at school would be a proper nightmare!

Just had a curry for tea. Also tried a new soft drink called Hoppers Soft Brew. I had the lemon flavoured one. It was nice but quite expensive. Nice as a wee change though.

I was wondering if baby was trying to engage this morning. Would I feel that? Baby is definitely bum up but it feels like the head is bashing against my right hip. It can be quite painful and sudden movements make me feel like my bladder is going to pop.

Great news on the house YW. What a weight off your mind. It will be nice to have more of an idea of schedule.

Sorry you are not well horsey. Would menthol crystals on boiling water help? Inhaled, not swallowed obviously! I had really nasty sinusitis at about 20 weeks and used olbas oil. The jury seemed to be out on olbas oil but I was desperate.

Hope you are ok GT.

Peaky1 · 21/09/2012 20:07

Yip, it was the GP that prescribed it to me so happy days here!

Passmethecrisps · 21/09/2012 20:19

What's the white stuff baby's are covered in when born? I googled and and it says vernix but I am sure I read it was called something else.

High 5 on the poo DH! Strangely I am more regular than I have ever been. I do think that my baby wiggles more after I have a poo.

Glad you had a nice time apple but sorry you haven't been well

GTbaby · 21/09/2012 20:21

im fine, just the SPD/PGP thing causing pain :( so work have agreed for me to go part time next week as long as i have a Dr note so doesn't effect my pay. but Dr took ages about seeing me today.

asked for a referral to women health phyisio , but not holding my breath that i will get an appointment any time soon.

am meant to be at work for another 3 weeks [to 37weeks], however think i might have to throw in the towel and move that forward so leave at 35/36 weeks.

living with PILs is putting me off finishing early tho, just means spending more time with them, and seeing as i will finish early to 'rest' they will deff have something to say if i go out n about to kill time.

Evilwater · 21/09/2012 20:22

gt hope things got better.

Just finished watching "how does she do it". All I can think about is when I asked my mum to stay home and not go to work. Her reply was she needed to so we could have toys and food. Sad.

I know this is a lesson we have to learn, but I want be that mum that is there for her son Sad but I have to work, so what we have a roof, and food in the house. Sad

Damn hormones.
Evil.

Evilwater · 21/09/2012 20:27

Horsey - I used steam. I always have trouble with my sinius's. it the most safe, but it takes ages to work.

Gt - I'm glad work a ok with you being sick, mine would have life very difficult.

Pass- I'm glad yours is working as it should be.

Evilwater · 21/09/2012 20:30
