2 weeks is a long time to be sat worrying i'd contact dr/midwife and ask them to explain this to you, obviously whole experince wasnt at all nice if the doctor wasnt nice either, they surely cant expect you to just go away and not worry yourself sick for 2 weeks!! hope you ok!! big loves!

cry and scream at them pet, might not work but at least you'll feel like you've done something and they'll be a bit more considerite(sp?) in future! hopefully the fact that they're not acting to concerned means it's not too serious a prob, fingers crossed anyway.

as for seeing doctors, i didn't see mine once during last preg, he was around yest during scan but when sonographer rang to see did he want to see me himself he couldn't be bothered and just sent me home.

Cant you get in before 2 weeks? I've never seen my Dr, always get somebody else, like pass the parcel! I'm starting to get anxious for my scan on Thursday now. Hope everything will be ok for you Snowdrops x

Quick question - am I ok to take paracetomol for a headache? Just got a very funny look of a colleague at work for asking for tablets? She suggested I sniff on olbas oil? (& whats that gonna do?)I thought 2 paracetomol would be ok?

Paracetamol is fine.

my doc told me last time they are the safest but there's still a slight risk of mis-carraige and if at all possible i should go without, and he told me that for migraines!

yeah 2 tablets will be no problem, i was told off midwife paracetomol is fine its ibroufen and co-codamol, nurofen ( excuse spelling ) that you have to keep away from!!

Oh god I've had Ibuprofen as well!!

Actually I know they're ok because the hospital gave them when I was pg with dd.

he said it's minute but the risk is still there, highly unlikely and all that but better safe than sorry. sorry to all the paracetamol junkies out there i've frightened the life out of! like i said it is a minescule risk and i'm sure it's only in the first trimester but i always grin and bear it myself.

Thanks for help, hardly touch them normally as never suffer with headaches but when I do I feel so lousy, think it's caused by pc screen.

Has anybody had any free dental check ups yet? Have sent off form and gonna book in for a check up while its free! Also going to tell them about my bleeding gums.

Does anybody else's mom look at them strange when you tell them what your not allowed these days when pg, my mom says only thing she did was pack in smoking and cut down on drinking and I turned out fine! She thinks its crazy that you cant have stuff like peanuts, tablets, certain foods etc.

I've had one dental check up and have to go back next week for a lovely filling.

Am quite lucky though because I already have white fillngs, my dentist is giving me mine for free. You normally have to pay for the white ones, £25+ each.

my mam does my mam doesnt believe anything like what i cant eat, says morning sickness is load of rubbish ( even when i had it )so when i moan to her all i get was it was never like this when i had you and your ok!!!

I've been a bit constipated lately, but all of a sudden this afternoon I got the urge to go...and have actually blocked the loo!!!!! I've been flushing and plunging for the last hour. Don't know whether to laugh or cry--it's certainly helped take my mind off my scan.
Snowdrops, sorry to hear about your scan. Love the way we're just expected to trot off and carry on as normal when we get potentially scary news!

Your lucky NBG, I'm hoping for few fillings too and maybe a polish n scrape! Never been one to book myself into dentist, always been forced ha!

My mom says 'its not an illness ya know!' and says being pg never stopped her doing/eating anything! I am really weary of what I do, stopped doing aerobics/boxercise/gym only do swimming now once or twice a week and am still paying £45 membership fee. And I'm avoiding all the foods your not allowed.

I tell you I've been having a real craving for liver.
I've settled with steak and kidney pies though.

hope it all goes ok for you tomorrow arabica. funny but after you mentioned trisomy 18 when i was at the scan yest the sonographer had a load of sheets taped on her wall above the desk about trisomy's and detecting them with nuchal fold scans, never even heard of them before you mentioned it. hope it's just a false alarm pet.

My scan is at 2pm. You'll all be glad to know our loo is now fixed. Used a plunger rather than a ski though!!!!
I am feeling much more positive now. That's partly because today I have eaten 4 chocolate cereal bars, 8 choc mini-eggs, 4 of DS' chocolate ladybirds, and a huge bowl of noodle soup.

im at the dentist in the morning first time for 8 years im dreading i hate them but hey while its free coz im not paying for pain
18 weeks today yeah still not feeling any kicks or deffo movemnt tho
i found out last nite im gonna be an aunt for the first time in nov

boopert i noticed you on my waterbirth thread im really excited about it now as a deffo prospect have you thought any more about has anyone else got any definites for there birth plan
just being nosy sorry
