Congrats to everyone on their babies Smile. It's my birthday today and despite being 19 days early - this little one looks like it may be making an appearance! Don't know whether that's a good thing or bad thing to share a birthday!

Bear1984 · 28/09/2012 04:57

squiggly ooo exciting! And happy birthday!! How lovely :) Good luck x

Heartbeep · 28/09/2012 05:12

I've been a long time lurker on the October threads, posted my EDD way back but couldn't contribute as I felt if I did I'd jinx the pregnancy somehow. Blush

Anyway EDD was 03.10.12 baby boy arrived 25.09.12 weighing 6lbs 9oz and is just perfect. I'm sat feeding him & snuggling right now.

Congratulations to all the new mums (&dads) and good luck to all of those still waiting, wishing you a speedy & safe delivery.

PS I'll continue to lurk to see how everyone gets on!

GizzyBoo · 28/09/2012 05:24

winnie well done you. Sounds fab! Love the name, I have a Rosie too Smile

Good luck and Happy Birthday squiggly Thanks

Congrats Heartbeep xx

I have been awake since 3am. I am bored!

LoopyLa · 28/09/2012 06:57

Awww great story Winnie!

I woke up at 4.30am& now I have a horrendous headache Sad Ouchy!

How are you feeling goodsense, hopefully a little better? And well done on finally finishing work! Smile I have 6 working days left, cannot wait!!

elvislives2012 · 28/09/2012 07:12

Wow love the stories and congrats on the births winnie and heart and good luck squiggle I think it'll be gin to share a birthday!
Thanks for advice re hip pain. I'll try lying with a cushion underneath my hip as well as between my legs Blush
Am 37+2 and finding that every little twinge I experience, I convince myself that something is happening. I think I need something to occupy my time so looking forward to going away on Sunday. Especially as I've got potentially another 5 weeks!!!

newtonupontheheath · 28/09/2012 07:22

Congratulations misspolly and fab birth story winnie

We is going to be needing an ante-natal thread soon....... Grin

So today is the due date I had from my dates... Actual due date not until Monday. Was kind of hoping baby would be here by now or at least put in an appearance today but not so much of a twinge since Sunday night Sad

Going to make a fuss of a trip to the supermarket today and buy stuff for baking. That will make me feel better Grin ... Biscuit any one?!

DH is just leaving... His parting words, "Feel free to ring me to say you've gone into labour!" Because I'm purposely crossing my legs and holding it in..... Hmm Angry

Pheebs24 · 28/09/2012 07:35

I need tips on gagging DH. I swear he is some sort of mystic - last night after talking to bump he said he thought the baby might start making an appearance (at 36wks and without the birth pool, no thank you) and for the first time I spent all night cramping and tightening!!!

Why would he say something like that?!?!?

Thanks to everyone posting birth stories, its really encouraging Thanks

CaptainHetty · 28/09/2012 07:40

Congratulations Heart and good luck Squiggle. Eeee babies! Can't keep up with all the new arrivals :o

Off to the hospital this morning, unfortunately for more monitoring and not to have a baby. 39+4 now so if Flump would do me the honour of vacating my uterus, that would be much appreciated.

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 28/09/2012 08:56

Congrats winnie! I can't believe they asked you to come in and then sent you home so you needed an ambulance! What a waste of time and resources!

Msinterpret · 28/09/2012 10:11

Hello all, long time no see Blush

Exciting to hear about all the new mummies! Congratulations all with ThanksThanksThanks and not a little Envy - it's my due date today.

SO far feeling quite chilled; think because contractions with DD began the equivalent of this evening so I'm thinking, 'Well, my babies are just obviously very obedient and can already tell the time/date from in utero...' but ask me tomorrow and I may be a little more cross!

Anyone who has used it, what's clary sage oil like? Does it resemble any other oils? Was thinking of getting some yesterday but £££ and didn't want to be repulsed for that price! Grin

GizzyBoo · 28/09/2012 12:35

Happy due date msinterpret Grin

The clary sage doesn't smell the greatest to be honest. I mix it with lavender to help. Its not a bad smell though. I got mine off ebay. Was only a fiver!
Jasmin oil is also a good one to try.

Saying that after a week of doing everything but drink the stuff this wee one is still showing no signs of moving!

39 weeks today Hmm

Good luck Hetty x

goodsenseofdirection · 28/09/2012 12:37

fluffy and gizzy that sounds pretty uncomfortable. Hope those little ones decide that head down is comfy asap!

weesooty how are you doing? Have they managed to give you anything to combat the itchiness?

Great birth story winnie it all went so quickly - or at maybe the MW just got it a bit wrong Confused on the timings.

elvis i'm at about the same stage as you - 36+6 here so potentially got another 5 weeks to go which seems like forever. no signs of any kind of tightenings just yet.

Congrats heartbeep and good luck squiggle - come back and keep us posted on your baby news.

loopy i'm feeling much better today thanks! Grin can start enjoying my leave. Or at least supervise the kitchen installation first hand Wink which is very satisfying!! Good luck with your last 6 days at work - will you be able to take it easy a bit?

RnB · 28/09/2012 13:53

Congrats Winnie and Heart and good luck to anyone in early labour Smile

I couldn't sleep last night because of painful contractions, but they have pretty much stopped today Sad

Thumbwitch · 28/09/2012 13:56

Congratulations MissPolly and Heartbeep! ThanksThanks
Squiggly - FX all goes well for you too and you have your little bundle very soon. :)

I'm feeling really lumpen today and it was fecking hot - 34degrees!!! Shock Mind you it's due to storm heavily and the temp should be back down to around 18deg tomorrow, with a bit of luck. Can't stand being this size and hot, it's foul.

Feet have swollen up again - prob due to sitting on the train for 4h in total (2 each way) to go and have my back seen to - but it's worth it to fix up the SPD! Very sore at the mo but in the next couple of days it will feel sooooo much better.

I think the baby has gone vertical but not sure, I really hope so though!

Beeblebear · 28/09/2012 14:00

Good morning all.

Congrats to heartbeep! I do remember you from way back on the thread, nice to hear from you.

Happy full term day to me! 37 weeks today. Now if baby would wake yp and give me a squirm, that would be great! He is probaby still dozy from the tylenol I took last night. Finally got a half decent rest though with this cold and sinus headache.

Willpop in again soon. Ttfn

Heartbeep · 28/09/2012 14:39

Thanks beeble and everyone else for the well wishes. I'm just so relieved DS is here & I can't stop kissing him Grin DD is 3 and she can't stop staring at him & stroking him, our house is just so full of loveliness today Smile

Come on October babies, we're all waiting to hear about you!

Best of luck ladies, won't be long.

cakes82 · 28/09/2012 15:46

39 wks today here too, sweep booked for a week tomorrow if no sign of baby. I'm getting fed up of waiting now, have had BH and a few peculiarly placed niggly pains but nothing that would suggest baby imminent. Was 2/5 engaged on Monday so heading right way at least.

Congrats to the new mums, hope everyone is feeling relatively ok, whatever stage your at.

There has been a little girl born today but I'm not sure which MN and FB names go together.

The full moon in Northern Hemisphere is 3.20am GMT Sunday so that might encourage the babies Hmm Have a good weekend everyone!!

Good point thunder....will get it removed.

WeeSooty · 28/09/2012 22:18

Evening all :)

Will try to catch up, not quite with it tonight! Itching is dirving me completely mental.

Misspolly congratulations! And I love that name! Hope you are both well.

Winnie I love your birth story!

Squiggly Happy Birthday! And good luck!!!

Heartbeep Congratulations!

Goodsense It is great getting a new kitchen, I?m so pleased with mine, just like standing in the middle of it admiring it all!!

Ok, we seem to be stacking up babies, can I be next please?

Well I?m feeling pretty rubbish today, this PUPPS thing is the worst thing I have ever experienced. I am sooooo itchy, I feel like I could scratch my skin off! Doc prescribed some non-steroid cream and it works for a few hours then goes back to being itchy. I?m struggling tonight, I don?t understand why some people breeze through pregnancy and I seem to be just lumbering from one crap symptom to the next. Feel sh*t at being pregnant and worrying if I?m so bad at being pregnant how will I be a good mum?!?! DH is doing a brilliant job at being there for me but I feel he must be thinking how crap I am at this as well.

Sorry feeling sorry for myself tonight!

In other possible labour symptoms? My bump is rock solid today.. what does that mean?? Come on baby!!!
