Im due x-mas with my first, i found out tomorrow what im having

off to my long awaited cardiologist appointment
grumpy already today after wasting all morning waiting in for a client who never turned up (can't wait to tell my nuisance clients that i'm not doing any more) so i hope the appointment sees an improvement on the day.
I've been waiting since week 6 when i was told i had a heart murmur so it'll be great to get some answers and stop worrying

Good luck Prunella, got mine through at the weekend - 21st August, been waiting ages too. Am a little bit terrified, I have developed a very fast heart rhythm. Hoping it's just all the hormones

Pru I think I must have missed early posts about this. I have a heart murmour too and with ds1 went through the whole cardiologist route. I knew I had mine and what symptoms I showed when I was little. It is something that only effects me when a doctor listens to my heart and then gets excited thinking that I didn't know. Needless to say the cardiologist was not at all excited and just passed me back to midwife care over consultant led care. They did do an ultrasound of my heart so don't panic if the suggest this. Ds1 then had one when he was born which is very common but healed by day 3 and not been mentioned since. Cos I knew all about mine I was very unconcerned but if a doctor says there is something wrong with your child's heart I imagine lots of people would panic. me and you are more uncommon cos we still have it in adulthood.

Welcome xmas im due on 24th too and also have my scan tomorrow not until 4pm though :( i wont be finding out as id lime a surprise. Dh will find out though.

welcome xmas, my scan is just after yours tomorrow at 3 (or 3.30, need to double check). I'm feeling baby girl here though.

ellie how good is your DP at secrets to keep that from you!? Mine would give himself away in no time, he's rubbish at secrets (evidenced by most of his friends and family being in on the names we said we were keeping secret)

Final week of my sick note and got a letter through today saying because I've been off I now have to attend a disciplinary meeting for gross misconduct since my absence isn't pregnancy related and I'm still in my probation. I've been feeling so much better since I've been off, although going back next week had started to hang over me and now I just feel like a mess again. Now I'm worried about getting sacked, debating if I should just hand my notice in and find an ongoing temp job for a couple of months. I've been so excited to see my baby tomorrow and this has ruined it, I just feel like there's a massive cloud hanging over my week. Sorry, just needed to rant because DP is looking so much on the bright side of life he might as well start fucking singing, ranting at him is just making me angry.

daydream that sounfs horrific poor you :( sorry i cant remember what you have been signed off for but that just sounds ludicrous that they can discaplin you for being on tbe sick with a doctors note.

Dh knows his life wont be worth living if i find out what the baby is before it arrives i was dead against finding out but we found out with dd1 his choice didnt with dd2 my choice and i know this dc will be our last so kind of feel its only fair to let him know if he wants to :) i have a gut feeling its a boy though pregnancy very different to last two.

Has anyone else not put any weight on yet? Im starting to stress about it now which i know is silly as i was overweight before concieving but i cant help but worry. On a happy note though feeling lots of movements now and sone that in sure could have been felt on the outside if id caught them in time :)

Get my dd's back this evenibg cant wait they have been away for the last 5 nights ive really missed them

Ellie, I was off for stress, just kept bursting into tears for no reason and getting so worried about everything. They've really helped me feel better
I was slightly overweight at the start of my pregnancy and last time I got weighed (maybe 2 weeks ago) I don't think I'd gained much. I wouldn't worry, as long as your eating well and looking after yourself baby will be fine. I think weight gain is secondary to that, as everyone is so different.

Hi All. Wow this thread moves fast! Hope everyone's well and pleased with their flavours or holding on to the surprise trail. I got lots of exercise and vocal training in over the weekend screaming and jumping in front of the TV at the Olympics!

elliebelle Ive put on 4lbs!! Im 20w and i am getting more hungry!!

I only felt my baby moving last week! Its kicking though, little thuds :)

I'm 19 +3 now and still look like i've just eaten a big plate of pasta, no obvious baby bump and no real kicking that i can recognize :( hope to see lots of movement on the 16Th

I'm 21 + 2 and have put in 11lbs.. argh - the responses above are making me seriously worried!! Still mostly just look like I've hit the pies a bit though, rather than being pregnant, so where is the weight coming from?

My scan is on Wednesday excited/nervous.

Struggling to get my shoes on, have to spread my legs really far apart!

Hi everyone! Sorry, no time to catch up on thread yet (I will try, I promise :) )
Had our scan today and they didn't tell us the sex but I think I saw a little willy in there :o told DP after the appointment and he kept jumping around (in the street, of course) shouting "willy" but we aren't certain and I'm no Dr - so if a little girl pops out that will be pretty amusing!!

I will assign myself team yellow on the stats in a bit! Baby has long arms and legs (according to the scan figures) but otherwise totally normal and generally totally average on all the charts.

I'm feeling the odd bit of movement but not really consistent yet.

I've gained about 5.5 kilos (so err 12lbs ish?) which I think is ok, didn't have any morning sickness at the start so it's been only weight gain here! Dr told me off (same at last appointment) for the weight gain but I know the nurses all weigh me slightly differently and I'm a little constipated at the mo so although it's depressing I'm trying not to think about it toooo much.

Better go before I ramble anymore!

ellie I'm still 2lbs less than I was when I conceived, but like you was overweight before. I mentioned it to the midwife and she said it was no problem. I've lost lots of weight in my other pregnancy's and my boys were 9lb 11 and 9lb 12, so they clearly got what they needed

I feel really tired today and last night was the first time in ages I slept all the way through the night

I updated myself on the stats list and realised that I'd put ds3 instead of dc3, which turned out to be true, spooky

are people sorting out their bags already?!?! and i though I was organised!!

stacey i woke up last night incredibly hot and stood on DP to open the window, its allowed if you feel like it ;)
