Hello everyone, glad to see you are all doing ok.
Just popped over as having a wander around on MN today and feeling a bit nostalgic lol I MISS YOU ALL
Hope to see you all soon Grin

GreenOlives · 20/08/2012 18:50

Hello all!

You're in good company Little, I too have a rather large belly! Grin In fact I appear to have gained 6lbs already Shock I have already purchased some maternity jeans and I am wearing stuff in a size larger than normal (which I had bought after having DS!) I am blaming the steroids not the fact that I have zero stomach muscles and I eat too much Tock I can only dream of being 64kgs! Grin

I had a consultant appt this morning - and we heard the heartbeat for the first time!! I LOVE that sound Smile Scary thing is he is now treating me like a normal pregnant person now I am into the second trimester so that means no more appointments with him until after my 20 week scan - feel a little bit scared by that Confused I may buy a doppler so I can listen in myself, what do people think about that?

Scarlett Have reserved a seat for you, would be lovely to see you in here soon Smile

scarletfingernail · 20/08/2012 19:17

Just popped in to wave hello to all you lovely diffed ladies. I've still been posting on the post natal thread but not had chance to come here for a while.

Lovely to read everyone is doing well and there's been some good scans recently.

DD is now 16 weeks Shock and is a little treasure. She's so smiley and happy and is even starting to giggle. Her and DS love each other so much. Just gorgeous.

Looking forward to the next wave of brooking babies arriving Loopy and Fluff if I remember correctly? Make sure you come and see us soon, we have you a place ready.

TheLittleFriend · 20/08/2012 19:30

munx good luck with all your appointments. Hope your dd is ok?

scarlettinspace miss you too x

green up to 12wks my weight gain was definitely due to eating too much. But this past week, there is definitely a preggo shaped bump emerging. Go for the doppler if you think it'll give you peace of mind. I was a nervous wreck when preg with dd for varying reasons, and found using one really helped. I borrowed it though, so don't have it to use this time around.

scarletfingernail love hearing about your happy little dd and ds. You must be so happy Smile

I've really been trying to avoid another trip to the gp for a suspected uti, as the results have come back negative from the lab in the past, despite being prescribed antib's. Going to have to bite the bullet and go tomorrow though, I've got the usual symptoms. though I also think it's all in my head

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 20/08/2012 20:03

I had a doppler and found it really reassuring - have a look on ebay, there were loads of brand new ones on there before for not much at all :)

I was 64kg before pregnancy :o

Biscuitsandtea · 20/08/2012 20:16

Christ I think I was 64kg when I was about 15 HmmGrin. Maybe not even then! My weight in KG is probably yours in lbs Grin

ReturnOfTheMunx · 20/08/2012 21:02

Just popping in been a long day again!

Had the full works at the hospital again, and will get same again next week.

Can't confirm OC yet but due to the itching and funny movements they are considering induction.

DD on the mend, thanks for asking.

Too tired to namecheck, sorry am really tired and very overwhelmed by it all.

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 21/08/2012 08:19

Hope you're feeling rejuvinated this morning :)

:o biscuits

ScrambledSmegs · 21/08/2012 10:03

Morning. Munx very glad your DD is feeling better, and the hospital sounds v thorough. Big (((((hugs)))))

64kg? Envy. I hit 63kg at 16 weeks, god knows what I am now. I carry most of my weight in my bum anyway Sad.

So tired. Is anyone else struggling to sleep properly these days? It doesn't help that DD's nursery is closed this week, so I can't catch up on sleep during the day. Oh well, off on holiday next week, roll on air-con and lie-ins!

itsMYNutella · 21/08/2012 10:35

Wish I was ever 64kg... Although that would actually be a bit too small for me... Ok I wish I was 74kg!
Smegs I'm 21+4 and the last few nights have been awful but last night was better. I think it was cooler, or perhaps I'm getting used to it?
So happy it is cooling down!

TheLittleFriend · 21/08/2012 12:40

smegs i'm sleeping so bad at the moment. Can't wait for it to cool down a bit.

Saw the gp, no uti but bp was a bit high (thats normal for me though) and pulse & temp were a bit high. It looks like I'll be back on the iron tablets before long.

farfallarocks · 21/08/2012 17:06

OMG when is this heat going to end, I hate it, bring on autumn!!
i feel ya sistas!
64kg, are you all really short? I would love to be that pre preggo I must admit :)
munx good luck with the checks, how many weeks are you? My friend was induced both times at 37 weeks for OC and all was well with her and the babes.
Great news on the scan tock are you going to reveal your suspicions?
green its so weird isn;t it being 'normal' after a precarious start. I am still nervous after coming off the heparin but am getting goods movements and have a growth scan next week so we shall see.

clickingtock · 21/08/2012 18:30

Been reading all of your news. I love knowing how it's going for all of you; please ignore me if I ever miss you out on a namecheck - it doesn't mean I have made notes on all your progress. Grin

Olives - you are doing so well, but I totally get how scary it is now the consultant has relaxed (tho' a good sign really). Get yourself a doppler but don't let it freak you out - can be more pressure to listen in iykwim.

Mun - good to hear DD is ok. Trying times for you lovely.

Whims - so excited for you and a bit Envy.

Stack - it has crept up hasn't it. Time is flying. Enjoy work do.

Nutella - don't let them bully you.

Stacks · 21/08/2012 22:42

Evening all. Quick post to say hi. I have MT dad and nephew visiting this week, so no chance to log on. New kitchen is in and looking good, though still not quite organised. Dad also bought up a large pile of baby bits which need sorting through and putting away.

Waves to all, will try to catch up soon!

GenericDietCola · 22/08/2012 14:05

Hi all, been away for a few days so not had chance to post. Lovely to read everyones' news, especially the post-grads!

I had my 20 week scan today and all was well. I can relate to Olives saying you are now being treated like a 'normal' preggo - I am so used to going to our hospital for bad news and unpleasant scans, it feels really weird to be 'normal'. I am still struggling to accept that it might actually be happening. Re Doppler, I really wanted one too, but eventually felt gentle movements around 16 weeks and am now getting proper kicks and wriggles at 19 and a half. You haven't long to go before you feel movement and then your worries should subside a bit! My next goal is 24 weeks for viability and I keep telling myself I will relax more then!

Can't remember what everyone else if up to - brooking for Munx and Loopy as you approach the end and hope all your appointments etc go well and you soon have your healthy babies in your arms.

What great news re Have as wll. Love it when a brooker gets a BFP!

GreenOlives · 22/08/2012 22:14

Brilliant news Gen Grin Grin

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 23/08/2012 09:20

Don?t get me started smegs - I?m up at least twice for the toilet every night, then from about 5am I just toss and turn with hip pain Hmm If it?s the heat, I highly recommend wrapping an icepack in a tea towel and sleeping with it? I have 2 little gel ones which are perfect ? mine were swiped from Abel and Cole but I?m sure you can buy them.

When?s your growth scan far? Brooking it?s all looking good (and a bit Envy that you get to see baby again!)

I?m 5?5? as well, but I have a slim build so 64kg actually still made me look very overweight, sigh ? I was doing weight watchers, I had another ¾ stone to go.

Good luck at your interview tock! I hate interviews, that would kill me Blush so I really hope you get it!

Brilliant news indeed, Gen! What a relief for you. I remember reaching 24 weeks and feeling like it was a real milestone though DH thought it was a bit pessimistic of me to mark the occasion - not far to go :)

OP posts:
farfallarocks · 23/08/2012 09:39

Great news gen are you finding out the flavour?

Scan is on Wednesday, can't wait to see the dragon again, hoping all is well.
If its any consolation the growth scans are very medical, they are taking measurements of bits you really can't fathom and the baby is too big to see all of it in one place so not as fun as 12 and 20 weeks.

:o froot I thought it was really weird telling me Dad coz then he'd know we were, you know, doing it Blush which DH thought was ridiculous, given we'd been together 12 years! Good luck telling your parents, I'm sure they'll be over the moon :)

I think it's loopy, munx, cakes then moi? I hope so anyway Wink

Aww far that's not as fun! I'm sure it'll be absolutely fine, but "good luck" anyway :)

OP posts:
itsMYNutella · 23/08/2012 15:11

I know what you mean about not seeing so much at 20weeks far
I have a rubbish 20 week pic of baby; apparently my skin is weird and baby had arms and legs up by it's face so.. not really ready for the close up I guess. It was frustrating not being able to really get a sense of what they were showing us and not being able to see baby but well, good to know it's in there and everything is doing/ growing how it is supposed to.

Sorry if I've written that before. I think I'm still not over the odd skin comments. Why are medical professionals soooo tactful ???

Congratulations froot !!! Great news. I will join the brookers err brooking for you.
Sorry fluff still dead jealous of your tininess. I carry my weight from the waist down and always feel out of proportion... Although it has been remarked that it's healthy to carry weight there (ie not likely to cause heart problems) yay Hmm.....

itsMYNutella · 23/08/2012 15:12

And hello everyone else ! Hope you're feeling well, you look lovely :)

ReturnOfTheMunx · 23/08/2012 20:09

Sorry to post and run, just a quick update.

Have now spoken to a lovely midwife about things she has reassured me that an induction at this stage is perfectly ok and since I am 37 weeks next week then baby is full term so good to go!

Baby is engaged anyway......

Have to make an appointment to speak to dr tomorrow and will be at hospital again on Monday so will keep you updated.

Hope everybody is ok, luff and squidges to all.

RubberBullets · 23/08/2012 20:14

Looking forward to the next brooking baby Munx :)
