Congrats Winky! And Rudy is a gorgeous name, as is Rudyard. Dont pay any attention to twit critics. He sounds utterly lovely!

twizzlestix · 01/09/2012 18:18

Congrats winky! Its getting to be a baby a day almost now :)

Rachel130690 · 01/09/2012 21:44

So has anyone had a baby today? Need someone to start this off :)

Ju1es22 · 01/09/2012 22:03

Not been on thread in a while!

But...... baby Eva arrived at 03:15 on 27th weighing 5ib7 at 38 weeks! After very short intense labour, lasting 3 hours from established labour. I got to hospital at 1:45 and baby Eva was born at 03:15 after two big pushes taking just 15 minutes!!

First night home tonight I've been at our local hospital for a few days of tlc! Feels great to bring her home but scary too:-)

Ju1es22 · 01/09/2012 22:09

Oh forgive my ignorance Congrats on all the other new arrivals, sure they'll be lots more soon!

leelteloo · 01/09/2012 22:27

Ah Ju1es, congratulations on the birth of Eva. Xx

WinterMymble · 01/09/2012 23:08

Congrats Ju1es!

twizzlestix · 02/09/2012 00:29

Wow, quick birth! Congrats ju1es

Smallgreenone · 02/09/2012 01:37

Congrats jules and winky!!
So exciting all these births!
I think Rudy and Rudyard are lovely names, I wouldn't take any notice of you MIL winky. My dad hates the name we chose (Rafferty, Rafe fit short) but I'm not taking any notice, we like it and that's what counts!
Day 6 post section today and have only need 2 paracetamol so things are getting better. X

Loup23 · 02/09/2012 08:46

Congratulations winky love the name Grin and congratulations ju1es glad your little one held in there for a while.

Love your name too smallgreenone I am sure my FIL will have something to say about our final choice, sort of makes me more adamant to choose something 'whacky' (as poor child is named laser boy and packed off to school Blush)

Hope all new mums are enjoying their cuddles with the newbies.

1 day overdue here so need done good tips for getting things moving, anyone? Wink xx

Loup23 · 02/09/2012 08:49

Ps - does anyone have the link for the stats thread? Wanted to see who else was due and remind myself of my due date buddies!!

ballroomblitz · 02/09/2012 09:25

Congrats Ju1es

That's good smallgreenone. I was up to my eyeballs on codeine for three weeks post cs. Hoping it wasn't because I was just a wimp as that doesn't bode well for labour Grin . How is your ds?

Rachel130690 · 02/09/2012 10:33

Congrats ju1es and smallgreen by sounds of things your both doing well..

So one day to due date.. Lots of bh happening here :) can only hope that's a very good sign that it might start to happen.. soon but I've a feeling it will not happen for a while.. :(

So have we had our first September baby yet? I'm all excited..

I've borrowed my sisters birthing ball so gonna start on it today :) and possibly go for a walk weather/laziness depending

Might just go to shop, buy some chocolate and have a bounce whilst watching a movie.. Feeling lazy today :(

Ju1es22 · 02/09/2012 11:54

Thanks ladies she's perfect and settling great. I'm bf and she slept from 12 - 4 then 4 - 7. She's so chilled out no crying unless i've kept her waiting too long, or shes cold!

Trying to find how to upload pics to my profile for you all to nose at Grin

funchum8am · 02/09/2012 11:55

Congratulations on all the new arrivals! It's so very exciting.

We're off for our tour of the birth centre today. I'm still only 37+3 so probably not going to be reporting a new arrival for a while but you never know!

Ju1es22 · 02/09/2012 12:02

Oh forgot to add ladies who are due soon getting impatient, I tried the following to help her along not sure if it worked though as she was coming early anyway!:

Raspberry Leaf tea - last week up to 3 cups a day!
Hot curry - Madras was consumed last Friday!
Long walk - Last Sunday Morning/early Afternoon!
Sex - Sunday afternoon most recent!

shoeprincess2 · 02/09/2012 14:53

Congratulations to all the ladies who have had their precious little bundles. It is so exciting. I love reading this thread each day and seeing who has had theirs. Planned c -section on Thursday for me, and I am now officially c* myself!! Off to give a blood sample tomorrow (after going on Thursday and them turning around and saying it has to be no older than 7 days- thank you consultant for making me do an unnecessary journey). Have just moved house as well (and have been to0ing and fro-ing to our rented house to get it spick and span for the check out tomorrow). There have been lots of tears and tantrums. Very exhausted too. Good luck to all the ladies left to have their babies! S x

Loup23 · 02/09/2012 18:17

Thanks ju1es DH is on a promise this evening Grin will also try the tea Wink

Good luck for Thursday shoe just think, this time in a week you'll be enjoying lots of cuddles!!

Come on September babies Grin x

Macaroons · 02/09/2012 18:28

Congrats ju1es and thanks for the tips for bringing on labour! I'm 39+2 today hope baby will make an appearance soon as I'm getting a little impatient! (although baby isn't even late yet...I just want to get the child birth bit over and done with!!)

Ju1es22 · 02/09/2012 20:50

Your very welcome have a feeling a few of your hubbies/partners will be thanking me to;)

Uploaded a couple of pics to my profile if anyone wants a peak!

Good luck everyone due soon, who knows we may have another announcement by tomorrow morning!

I've updated my details on our stats thread should still be on first page loup:-)

ballroomblitz · 02/09/2012 21:41

Oh wow ju1es , Eva is sooo gorgeous. Hurry up dd in there - I want baby snuggles and to sniff the top of your head!!

Every single person I know that has been pregnant lately (and there has been a lot) has gone overdue, be it with their first, second or third. Been having a lot of painless tightenings myself today. Kind of make my stomach feel a bit sicky and a bit breathless. Only 37+3 though so not holding out any hope of an arrival any time soon.

Rachel130690 · 02/09/2012 22:19

ju1es your little girl is just gorgeous, def can't wait to my wee man is here for cuddles..

Has anyone else experienced really itchy feet before they due to give birth? My feet are so so itchy tonight, there red and I can't help scratching.. It's driving me insane.

Also I've had reduced movement today, still quite a bit but nothing compared to his normal movements. Is this normal before labour? Does movements slow down a bit?

funchum8am · 02/09/2012 22:35

jules Eva is absolutely gorgeous, you must be so proud....good luck for the days and weeks ahead (I guess we all need it!)

I am on the raspberry leaf tea already, and up to two cups a day; DH is aware that bedtime manoeuvres are back on from Thursday when I get to 38 weeks (and have only one more day back at work before mat leave) and we are going for a curry on Friday (though not sure how having a hot curry squares with the risk of unpleasant bowel-related things happening during birth....!) Have also ordered two pineapples in my online Sainsburys shop (they're on 2 for £3 at the moment...)

Can't wait to check in tomorrow and see if any more babies have joined us!

Bakeroo · 02/09/2012 22:36

Our little girl arrived yesterday morning at 3.25am and was born in water as I'd hoped! We've named her Evie Matilda and she is the sweetest thing, we are head over heels in love with her. She came on her due date! Can hardly believe it :) very happy, exhausted, proud and relieved.
Congrats to those who have had their babies and good luck to those still waiting. Xx

WinkyWinkola · 02/09/2012 22:54

Rachel, I too had reduced movements towards the end. There's not much room left.

My ds's movements seemed to concentrate in the evenings at the end with nothing in the day.

As long as you get 10 movements per day - as in 10 clusters, not individual kicks - then you don't need to worry. Any less then call your MW for peace of mind.
