I also agree not terrible at all *, pregnant or not I always tell people who call at the door to sell/ recruit charity givers I'm not interested. I think it's rude as I give to the charities I want to give to when I want to! It's always at an inconvenient time tooAngry

Kveta eating crappy food once ds is in bed sounds like a good plan, I practically do that every nightBlush Dh is just rapid returning ds2 as we speak, poor bugger.

I'm ok thanks for asking, had a lovely birthday apart from the curry induced night cramps which were nothing to do with labour and not appreciated! I am currently on all fours leaning on my sofa with my bum to the lounge window, god knows what passers by thinkGrin

Police were good, said they think it's best I speak with a solicitor about a civil injunction as every time they speak to my parents they don't listen and just carry on the abuse/ harassment. It's 7 years since I went no contact with them as they are basically toxic and generally awful to me and my two bros and our partners. They go quiet for a while then start pestering again, very stressful and annoyingAngry Anyway, got enough to deal with right now so will look in to that at some point, at least they live 2 hours away..

rhibutterfly · 07/06/2012 21:04

OMG you.ve all been bus
rhihaf so glad baby has turned
ssc sorry you have to wait another day and what a cock up over injections.
ffnormand dairy fingers crossed LO will turn for you.
kvetaglad all turned out ok at hosp.
Ihope i haven't missed anyone out, apologies if i have, monitoring in morning and i'm going to have to ask them to check LO's position because i think she's turned breech again :(

blondiedollface · 07/06/2012 21:35

Gwennie That was a horrible case, I'd only left Clifton High a few years before and was so glad I wasn't having to spend as much time in Clifton as even just walking around Pembroke road now gives me the creeps. Really feel for you living there at the time!!

McK I say the same, 'we give to charities we choose but do have a lovely day' (big fake smile, close door in face). I LOVE that our new house's front door has one of those hotel room peep holes so I can see who it is and choose to open or not Grin

Dairy Hope you get it all sorted and are bothered less in future.

Have a good night all, looking forward to news of June babies tomorrow :)

Xx

McKayz · 07/06/2012 22:39

Oooh TMI but I just had some more mucus type discharge. Not bloody so not likely to be a show but maybe things are getting there!!

justwantcheese · 07/06/2012 22:41

I just think as if I'm going to give my bank details to a random stranger.when one knocked today and asked me why I wasn't interested I said I was just about to give birth Grin wishful thinking but he did, look a little bit scared.

10000fireflies · 07/06/2012 22:50

Tee hee, justwantcheese. I told a charity mugger similar when he asked if I had a moment. Said no, sorry, about to go into labour!! Grin worked a treat!!

McKayz doesn't have to be bloody to be a show.

Can't find frigging TENS machine, which DH ordered without discussing with me... So I am annoyed that he's spent cash on something I may not have wanted and proceeded to lose it before I've had to chance to use. So we'll get charged the full amount for something we won't use. Grrrrr. V frustrating as flat tidy in most rooms, but spare room still a total tip from when carpets fitted. Keep remembering stuff that I need but no idea where it is. Sad

Shame to be feeling so grumpy as had lovely avo with friend. DH now suddenly wanting to do stuff (a week before am due) and I don't feel like it. Says to give him a list for hospital bag and he'll pack - it's already pretty much done though so don't know what that's all about.

OK, going to take my grumpyness elsewhere. Not feeling at all ready to welcome baby into world.

10000fireflies · 07/06/2012 22:52

Dairy sorry to hear you're being hassled by your own parents. Sympathies. Makes mine seem perfect, which is difficult!!

McKayz · 07/06/2012 22:54

I wish I tried the labour trick. I was too worried about my nipples being visible through top Grin

10000fireflies · 07/06/2012 22:54

Oh, you know, we're only 10 days into this thread and it's already half full!!

Wishing everyone a calm and peaceful night. FF xx

AmethystMoon · 08/06/2012 04:32

Well it looks like everyone else is asleep which is great news Smile
My hips are playing up as usual, so sitting in nursery in my nursing chair.... Practice Grin
I hate the charity harassers too!! Grrr I don't like the door to door ones or the ones that grab you in the high street, I think I heard they were going to pass a law banning those soon? I don't give based on guilt!!
Got my mum and her beauty therapist kit coming today to give me an overhaul so I don't scare my baby.....she's even going to perm my eyelashes Grin my dad's coming too mainly to walk my dog I think, which is actually a huge helps especially in this crappy rain.
dairy sorry to hear about your parents giving you grief, just what you don't need right nowSad
I wonder if any of to are in labour tonight? I'm dying to hear news of the next June baby Smile
small hope all is going well with you and your newest addition and I hope you are not too sore xx

ffnorm · 08/06/2012 06:26

Morning all - wrote a long post last night and I disappeared due to MN being off line grrr.

SSC good luck for take 2!!! you should really make sure that someone knows officially, that you were given misinformation on how much Heparin to administer,as this is a major error!!

No DS lie in this morning... but was very cute trying to help me get out of bed as I struggle Grin was meant to go visit a friend and her 2 month old twins today but I slept badly my pelvis is sore and the weather is rubbish plus it's about 2 hours travel time each way,so think I'm going to cancel.

emblosion · 08/06/2012 06:52

Morning all, yay to mumsnet being back online. Awful nights sleep here, pain in my ribs kept waking me up, I feel as though the baby will burst through my chest like in Alien! Am assuming its rib flare but seeing midwife today so will mention it to her (again) not that there is anything that can be done I guess .

Amethyst am jealous if your pampering session, wish your mum could come here afterwards!

Fireflies - hope TENS machine turns up!

I hate charity muggers too and won't donate via them on principle. I hate feeling pressured/guilted into doing things and even if it was a charity I wanted to support I wouldn't give out my bank details on the street or at my door, you just can't be too careful.

Grrr. Am definitely significantly grumpy this morning, am off for some (first) breakfast to try to get into a better mood... Looking forward to updates from all those with labour signs, fingers crossed this is it & good luck :)

emblosion · 08/06/2012 06:54

Ps. Am laughing at how full this thread is already- come on June babies, we'll need another one at this rate Wink

Kveta · 08/06/2012 06:59

good luck today SSC

weather atrocious here today, plus DS was up all night, so DH is in a fury, and looks like I'm not getting my day of rest after all. oh well. I am so fed up though, almost called the hospital during the night to demand induction today just to stop me being so murderous. (I'm joking btw, know they would tell me where to go :o)

I was crampy all last night too, but nothing to show for it. So frustrating Angry just wish I could have a night off being pregnant/a mum, just to get some decent sleep.

40+3 now :(

McKayz · 08/06/2012 07:16

Morning.

SSC I hope that today goes better for you. Hope you actually get your baby cuddles today.

Kveta take yourself of to a hotel and sleep.

The boys are off to their dads today for the weekend so I am planning spending the free time in a bath of clary sage while eating curry and pineapple!!

Hope you're all well.

blondiedollface · 08/06/2012 07:30

My big brother is coming to visit today!!!!!!!!!!! Grin

I am literally SO excited (and hoping LO arrives for Uncle Petey-Pie, who's here until Monday) I haven't seen him since Feb as the Journey from Somerset to Kent whilst pg has just been too tough for me and he's been spending every minute preparing for his final exams to become an accredited Accountant. My mum is away in London until tomorrow afternoon because she's taking an exam for some professional qualification, but then the Blondie family are gonna party attempt a BBQ in the gale force winds like we always do!!

On a side note, DB really wants a family but his partner just won't go there, it was quite a sensitive issue when we told him, but I'm just thinking that making all the appropriate gestures and taking care not to over-enthuse are still the best way to go about it? We've got a card and present for him from LO and he is of course 'The Godfather' but has anyone else been in this situation and found an easy way of dealing with it?

Kveta Maybe all this wind/rain will wash/blow away your lovely FIL? Don't feel bad that he may not meet his DGD this time round, he will meet her in the future. At least he made the gesture to come over around her due date even if he does deserve to be throttled for being such a grumpy old man

Amythest Very jealous of your pampering session and getting out of walking the dog, what a perfect day to be stuck inside having beauty treatments!!

SSC Good luck, let us know how you go! And as ffnorm said - make sure you tell someone who matters about the incorrect dosage, it's no small matter...

1000FF We are due a week tomorrow!!! I have been sneaky and my MW is sweeping at 39+5 if LO hasn't arrived by then! I am the same, with a week to go all I want to do is rest and put my feet up, but between DH, DB and DM I have a very busy weekend planned.

I'm definitely with everyone else - giving bank details to someone who has approached me is just weird and not right.. If I feel guilt-tripped into doing something it's not even a charitable act really is it? It's more like stealing..

I had also noticed we're more than half full and have only got 2 June babies (still Boy, Girl, Boy, Girl, Boy, Girl) come on the rest of you!! There are only 21 days left of June... Take care all and hope the weather is better where you all are Xx

emblosion · 08/06/2012 07:45

Popping back to say good luck for today SSC (soz forgot before) and yes, def mention about the wrong dosage instructions to someone.

Blondie have a great time with your brother. Hope the weather is BBQ friendly!

emblosion · 08/06/2012 07:47

Oh and Kveta :( I second the suggestion of taking yourself off to a hotel for a nice sleep today, or even just off somewhere for a nice quiet coffee!

MammaInTheMaking · 08/06/2012 07:53

Hello everyone!

Jut to let you know that my gorgeous baby girl Violet Wren Alexandra arrived yesterday on her due date (I was a EDD baby too!). The birth was really difficult and I'm currently here in the hospital with a catheter, no pants so the bed is a bit of a mess and a drip. Although we tried a g&a delivery in the pool she just wouldn't move so I ended up with a vontuse and being cut Sad and then some surgery afterwards. My poor downstairs is in quite a bit of pain this morning... Violet is amazing, I can't believe she's here. So looking forward to getting home and the day when I can sit again without pain!

Sending some strong labour vibes to get some more june babies out Grin

10000fireflies · 08/06/2012 07:55

Congrats Mamma. Beautiful name. Sorry to hear about the damage to your bits and traumatic birth. Hope they're feeling better soon. Am sure your gorgeous little girl kind of makes up for it.

StarlightMaJesty · 08/06/2012 07:57

Congratulations mama. Beautiful name. Birth sounds quite hard going but hope you're recovering well.

AmethystMoon · 08/06/2012 08:01

Morning all Smile
emblosion I hope you feel a bit better later, good idea to cancel a drive that long I think.
kveta hope you get some sort of rest today, shame the men can't be persuaded to have a day out.
SSC good luck for today, fingers doubly crossed for you xx
blondie I have a similar situation with my brother, his partner has been told not to have kids because she had a stroke about 18 months ago and it would be too much for her body. Brother is taking this ok on the surface but knowing him as I do, he is the kind of bloke who was born to be a dad and is amazing with children Sad I have tried not to mention too much and let him take the lead but he is very pleased about his impending niece and I'd love him to be involved as much as he'd like to. I is hard to judge though, I hope all goes well with your brother xx
mckayz your bath with curry and pineapple made me laugh. What an image Grin
Sorry for anyone else I've not mentioned, brain at capacity again Sad big wave to you all and come on those June babies. This isn't going to be our last antenatal thread is it?! Grin

emblosion · 08/06/2012 08:04

Congratulations mamma! What a beautiful name :) sounds like you had a pretty hard time (your poor downstairs!) But hope you are soon on the mend. X

AmethystMoon · 08/06/2012 08:07

mamma I missed your post whilst typing! Yay! Congratulations a beautiful name for your beautiful new daughter Smile I'm all teary again!
I am sorry to hear your birth didn't go as planned but you are both okay Smile which is the most important thing. I hope your poor downstairs heals quickly too. Big hug and yay for our next June baby, welcome Violet Grin can't wait for piccies x

Coops79 · 08/06/2012 08:14

Morning Everyone -
MamaintheMaking congratulations! Sorry it was a bit of a trauma but what a lovely name; glad everyone is ok (apart from the painful downstairs obviously).

On a slightly different note, is anyone else suffering raging hormones? I'm all tearful and starting to get proper panicking about leaving work. Yesterday I had a bit of a meltdown about the whole motherhood thing. It occurred to me that my job involves me talking to people throughout the day and I'm going to go from a class of 30 eager little faces (ok I might be romanticising a little bit) to one screaming/pooing person who (crucially) doesn't laugh at my cheesy jokes. This is going to be a bit of a shock to the system isn't it!? I am also absolutely convinced that I am going to be the mother who leaves her baby on the bus.

I'm going into school today to sort out my desk and prep for Monday which might make me feel a bit better.

Hope everyone has a lovely day.
xx
