Hi and welcome State! Congratulations, how lovely to see the baby Smile

I know what you mean about the mentalling -I'm 15 weeks, have seen the baby twice and still convinced stuff is going to go wrong. I had a mc pre-DD and problems conceiving this time (shit fertility, basically) so my mindset is permanently stuck on negative I think. Luckily that's what the brookers are here for, it's a positive thread.

I'm sure things will be great for you this time. Good luck, and come on here when you feel wobbly or just want to chat.

Hi State (or do you prefer confusion?) and welcome. Congrats on your little bean, I take it you've just had a scan? And I See this could be a chrimbo baby, lovely. You are on the No Brooking thread now so positive thinking all around and we are here to pick up the slack when you can't. I'd say thats basically the ethos of the no brookers.
I have a ds who is 4.7 and am 36 weeks with dc2 who is supposedly a girl. Will be back shortly, just off for some late lunch.

cartoonface · 30/05/2012 15:32

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! am i allowed on here now?

NinjaChipmunk · 30/05/2012 15:52

hello face of course you are allowed on here! Silly question....Grin How far along are you now? I guess we'll have to give the stats thread an update at some point?

cartoonface · 30/05/2012 16:05

only just 6weeks, dying to hear back about if i can get an early scan! another 6weeks is too long to wait.
i must say ive joined some other threads and the brookers are much more friendly!!!

Stacks · 30/05/2012 17:59

Hi everyone. Just a quick post from the in laws house. Had my 12 week scan this afternoon. All looks good! The baby was sleeping in an almost perfect position. The sonographer wanted it to lift it's chin up just a wee bit so she wriggled the probe around trying to wake it up. It didn't work so I had to do a hip wiggle.. Baby woke up and did an obvious stretch and turned over to get comfy. So amazing to watch :)

Baby measured at 59mm and 12+3. Nuchal measurement was 1.7, not sure if that's good or bad? Trying to avoid the Google.

Great grandparents gave been told now, and scan pics sent around. All feels a bit more real now, but still not actually real...

Waves to all. Will post properly later or tomorrow. Hugs.

cartoonface · 30/05/2012 18:13

Ah wow stacks that sounds amazing. Perhaps I'm a bit thick but it never dawned on me about the baby sleeping in there! !
[Blush]
This pregnancy is giving me diarrhea! Sorry but its starting to annoy me now. Been on and off for 2wks now

pommedechocolat · 30/05/2012 18:23

1.7 is good stacks :)

cakes82 · 30/05/2012 18:35

Brilliant news Stacks
Congratulations Jen :o

odd question but on the scan photos you get given it shows baby lying across screen but is that what baby is actually doing? I'm just curious cause mine had moved from head one side at 12w to the other side at 20+5.

ScrambledSmegs · 30/05/2012 18:46

Yay Stacks, great news! 1.7 is good, don't worry :)

No idea if that is actually what the baby is doing cakes - I assume so as in my first scan with DD she was in a very odd position and the sonographer tilted the couch till I was lying with my head downwards in an effort to get her to move.

cartoon of course you're 'allowed' to post on here - no rules! Lovely to see you :) I'm sorry you've got a dodgy tum, I do to a bit, it's a bit annoying isn't it? Hope you feel better soon.

cartoonface · 30/05/2012 18:48

I was wondering if it was an odd preg complaint but if you have it to maybe not.
How are u otherwise smegs

StateofConfusion · 30/05/2012 19:06

Thanks for the warm welcome, I've felt more positive as the day has gone on.

ninja state is fine :) confusion is too long and time consuming.

That sounds like an amazing scan stacks I was totally in awe seeing legs today Blush

cakes I have a feeling, as todays pic the baby is diagonal right in the centre, and pfb first scan was upside down head on the left.

musicalmrs · 30/05/2012 19:10

Stacks, that's fab news - glad the scan went so well! DD was sucking her hand in our scan, also amazing to see! In the 20w one she kept turning to look at the probe face on, as if to say "What are you doing?!". :)

Welcome Cartoon! Dodgy tum sounds quite normal to me - mine kept going from one extreme to the other throughout.

Welcome State - and hurrah for a lovely wriggly baby :)

Ninja, you sound incredibly organised, baby clothes wise! Have fun playing with the TENS machine - I loved mine.

ScrambledSmegs · 30/05/2012 19:12

Well I don't know cartoon - I'm taking antibiotics so that's probably why for me. Constipation is more normal I think. If you're worried then do go to the GP. It could be quite usual though.

Hmmm doctor goggle seems to think some women do get tummy upset instead of or as well as constipation. I do tend to get tummy upsets very easily. Perhaps its my form of morning sickness!

scarletfingernail · 30/05/2012 21:07

Welcome over Cartoon, State and Princess

Cartoon I had terrible diahorrea up until about week 24 with both pregnancies. I also think that was my version of morning sickness. After that I flitted from diahorrea to constipation. I'm sorry to tell you that 4.5 weeks after the birth of DD, things are still not back to normal Blush

Great scan updates. Fab news.

DreamingOfPeace · 30/05/2012 21:36

Hi cartoon, I had diarrhoea in the first trimester with my first pg and til 16 weeks in my second pg. I normally tend to the constipated side too (sorry, tmi!). Definitly the pg that does it to me.

Oh, more howling, off I go

Laters brookers

Princesslovelyboo · 30/05/2012 21:56

whimsicalname · 30/05/2012 22:02

face I totally get that. I feel really sick, and then go to the loo suddenly, and then feel a bit better. I haven't had this before. The things our bodies think to do to us!

Great news on the scan stacks

scarletfingernail · 30/05/2012 22:18

This is your month Princess, you just need to pee on the right stick. Will look forward to seeing you over here officially as soon as you have.

farfallarocks · 31/05/2012 08:46

Wonderful news stacks, you must be so happy and relieved!

Loopyhasanotherbean · 31/05/2012 09:23

just a quick post, never seem to have much time to post properly lately, although i do try to keep up to date with these threads!

Congratulations to Jen on the arrival of Natasha, and well done on being the first to use the name Brooke - does your DH know about the brooking threads? :)

Good news re your scan stacks and hope the boys will soon let you have some sleep dream.

Hope beans remain sticky for whim gen and any other newbies i've missed.

15 and a bit weeks to go, seems to be going so fast in one respect and yet feels like a long time still to go, and i'm really struggling to be an active mom to DS, feel so bad as he is too young to understand, but my body is falling apart and i just can't chase and lift him like i used to :( and some days i am falling asleep by 1pm, as i am still unable to sleep properly at night, and he just doesn't understand why i'm not fun anymore. going to book him into nursery an extra afternoon a week as at least he'll get more hands on attention there, but feel bad doing so...one of those weeks and i'll snap out of it soon hopefully!

NinjaChipmunk · 31/05/2012 11:30

stacks awesome news on the scan, well done to you, mr stacks and babystacks.
princess i look forward to everyone from the ttc thread joining us over here.
