cartoonface · 14/06/2012 18:23

:-( wot am i gunna do if this one goes away to. im not sure i can cope losing another one

ScrambledSmegs · 14/06/2012 18:27

Phew. All done. Took forever - doc couldn't find heartbeat so that was fun Hmm. They had to get the registrar to have a listen, another massive wait, of course she found it instantly! Thank goodness, or we'd have had to wait for a scan.

Doc was nice and told me no reason I couldn't have a homebirth, and noted my LMP so hopefully all good.

Hi all, just marking my place as you'd dropped off my 'threads i'm on'

cakes82 · 14/06/2012 19:21

PS tock no, I wasn't holding a baby! :)

cartoonface · 14/06/2012 19:39

I don't know where my optimism has gone today. Maybe ill feel better 2mora. Sorry I'm all me me me

GenericDietCola · 14/06/2012 19:42

Cartoon you will cope with whatever the outcome, but of course we are brooking that everything will be fine. I have been there three times and believe me that the waiting and not knowing is worse - once you know what you are dealing with you will find a way forward.

Tock, Fluff and Ninja I loved my sling and will be using it again fo sho. It is a Mei Tai (sp?) that my sister bought me and it was so useful both around the house when DD was fussy and I wanted to get on with something like washing up or cleaning and outside the house when I couldn't face taking the pram! They're great for BFing too and generally feeling all cuddly with your baby.

Smegs glad you got your HB and due date sorted! Good going with a toddler in tow. How's the potty training going/gone? We 'did' DD a couple of weeks ago and she took to it very easily, but she's a bit older than yours I think (2.9).

Was it Whim who asked? I am 9+2 now according to scan last week and hoping booking appt comes soon - I thought that was supposed to be before 10 wk. Hoping for nuchal fold scan thingummy, which I think needs to be done before 14 wk so will be nice to know that is booked. I travel a fair bit with work, so I could do with a bit of notice really. So exciting re your move - is it starting to sink in more now?

GenericDietCola · 14/06/2012 19:43

Cartoon don't apologise - I bet it is all you can think about. Go easy on yourself chuck X

cartoonface · 14/06/2012 19:51

Gen how did u do it. With my previously they booked my 2nd scan for 10days later but I mc 4 days after that first scan. And admit that it was such a relief. I couldn't bear the wait and knew in my head it was over no need for rescan as far as I was concerned. Even before the scan I just kept imaging that was goin to happen its like subconsciously I knew.
I've not felt at all like that this time am fairly optimistic with occasional wobble. My family are worried it'll hit me harder if I'm too optimistic and the worst does happen x

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 14/06/2012 19:58

Generic I only got a week's notice for my 12w scan; it might be your MW has to refer you?

NinjaChipmunk · 14/06/2012 20:04

I had my 12w scan the same week as my booking in appt, Booking in was Monday, scan was friday. If you haven't heard soon I'd give them a call to make sure they got your referral. No harm in checking!

cartoon I'm not surprised you feel the way you do. I can only imagine how hard it must be and how much it must be on your mind. We are here to support you x

GenericDietCola · 14/06/2012 20:26

Cartoon being optimistic won't change the outcome, but you may find the week a bit easier if you stay positive. Having said that, you know the risks so I think you will be prepared and it is honestly much easier once you know. Will be brooking like mad for you.

Stacks · 14/06/2012 21:41

generic my booking in was at 11w, and my scan a week later at 12w. I had plenty of notice for both thoug. Also got my 20w scan date through today, 25th July I think it was... 20 something anyway. It actually seems much closer now there's a date to aim for.

cartoon brooking like crazy for you. You will get through the next week, you have to. It will be tough, but the day will arrive and I hope soo much will bring a lovely positive scan for you. We are not experts, and neither is google. I wonder if your previous mc could have thrown off your hormones and made implantation slower or something. Therefore delaying (but not stopping!) development for a little while, and giving a plausible explanation for your dates being out when compared to the scan?? I don't know, I'm just hoping so hard for you I'm desperately trying to make it all good.

Probably TMI, but I just reintroduced DH to SFF after a 12w ban... Am lounging in bed now waiting for an appropriate time to sleep. :)

musicalmrs · 15/06/2012 01:37

Cartoon, brooking like mad for you. I had an inconclusive early scan after lots of bleeding, and a two week wait before the next one, which was horrific - so I remember how you feel :-( try your hardest to stay positive, and to do lots of things to keep you as distracted as possible and your mind as busy as possible...

Ninja, house sounds terribly exciting- good luck!

Generic, nice to see you here :-)

FluffyPop, I only bought the one gro bag for DD, and am now hunting for a spare (probably a cheaper one) so I'm ok when the other is in the wash. They're so good for night feeds- keeps them lovely and warm :-)

cartoonface · 15/06/2012 07:51

Me and mum are baking cheesecake today. I'll fetch u all some if it turns out! Mums not too good with baking and I've only done baked cheese cake once before.
2wks Mrs! How awful. Is my lack of bleeding/spotting a good sign? Must stop trying to predict an out come in my head!

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 15/06/2012 08:40

I looove baked cheesecake cartoon! I hope you have an ok day. :)

Ohh musical I didn't think about leaving them in it while feeding, that's a nice idea!

Slept really badly last night and feel rubbish today - teenager next door was on his xbox live til gone 4am (for some reason he's in the master bedroom that shares a wall with ours, very odd) and my hips are hurting at night again :(

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 15/06/2012 08:44

Oh and well done on rediscovering sff stacks! :o We're trying to cram in as much as we can before I'm too unwieldy Blush :o

GenericDietCola · 15/06/2012 10:41

Just popping in to brook for Cartoon - enjoy your baking today!

NinjaChipmunk · 15/06/2012 10:44

My poor dp is v patient, we haven't had any sff for ages. I really have no libido when pg.
Sorry to bore you with house updates but its the only place I can let it out when dp is at work. We've appointed an agent, the entire team are coming to take pics and do floorplan on Monday (as ds will be at nursery) with block viewings next saturday and possibly a couple before! Bloody hell, we've got a lot of diy to do this weekend!

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 15/06/2012 11:20

Yay ninja! That's super cool, I'm glad everything's moving quickly for you! You've got your 2nd viewing tomorrow, yes?

I've been insatiable since getting diffed Blush probably a combination of hormone changes and less ttc stress? But I have escaped morning sickness so I've not had that putting a dampener on things either iyswim.
