Sad hope you get some sleep davina!

foolserrand · 27/04/2012 01:06

I second that. Fx for sleep for you, Davina.

So, this child may well be following big bro's example and waiting until just after midnight to kick things off. If these aren't early contractions..... well, then I'm being kept up for no reason. :o

If anyone's up through the night, I will update

TroubleAndFyfe · 27/04/2012 02:46

Ooh, ooh! What's happening fools? Grin I got goose pimples reading that! Smile

Davinaaddict · 27/04/2012 03:05

Ok all caught up now! Lauren's had a good kip and now fallen back to sleep on the boob after another feed. I just need to change her nappy now but can't be bothered to move Blush I'm looking forward to switching from water/cotton wool to wipes though I can't remember when we did with DS.

Good luck fools I've got the pom poms out ready for you Grin Don't follow my lead, otherwise you've got another 18 days to go! Grin

Both mine were back to back right up until labour and turned during the labours, despite me spending weeks hours on my gym ball/ hands & knees etc. Apparently this is normal so I'd say don't stress too much about trying to get them to turn, as they might not until the last minute anyway. Smile I finally caught up on all the OBEM series and there were soooo many btb babies on there (I must have watched 8/9 episodes Grin)

Right, best move my lazy bum, change DD and try get some more kip, as today's my first whole day on my own Sad Come on baby fools!

foolserrand · 27/04/2012 03:09

I have woken dh up to get the tens on since I was disturbed by a contraction Angry and am now rocking a sleeping, once terrified toddler. Scary dream about crocodiles it seems. I love my tens. It's like my new favourite thing!

OP posts:
Davinaaddict · 27/04/2012 03:20

Aw poor little man Sad Hope he feels better soon. Yay for tens machine though! Hope things move quickly for you now Smile

foolserrand · 27/04/2012 04:19

I love my tens! They should be handed out with your notes.

Well, definite labour. Ds and dh are busy snoring in bed while I finally pack my bag Blush.

Why do my children want to kick off in the middle of the night? Surely one last night of restful sleep would be better for us???

Trying to slow things down at the moment so I can call mum at a decent hour for ds. Would also like him to be awake so he knows what's going on. Am seriously considering calling the midwives out rather than go to hospital but can find the ooh number. Typical.

GrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin how exciting! It won't be long till baby fools is here!

Davinaaddict · 27/04/2012 06:27

Yay! Go baby! Grin

I know what you mean about night time labours though Confused Both mine kicked off just as I was going to sleep for the night Angry Oh well - sets you up for the sleepless nights I suppose Hmm

Good luck - hope its quick and pain free Grin

foolserrand · 27/04/2012 06:38

It was relatively painfree, but then I took the tens off for my bath and dh refused to wake up and put them back on and I can't get them in the right spot. He's now gone downstairs to not walk the dogs after snapping at me for being upset. How very dare I.

OP posts:
TroubleAndFyfe · 27/04/2012 06:48

Oh FFS! Angry

babybrain3 · 27/04/2012 07:21

Oooh good luck fools maybe your dh has gone to have a word with himself..... Hope he pulls himself together for you...if not, just give him a kick. I think you're allowed to hurt them when you're in labourWink

foolserrand · 27/04/2012 07:27

I told him I was going to my backup birth plan and he wasn't included in it and he has pulled himself together somewhat. Apparently I need to excuse him because he's tired. Oh boo him.

Kick him? Wouldn't waste my energy. He knows he's fucked up royally this time.

OP posts:
foolserrand · 27/04/2012 07:40

Bugger, was trying to alter that a bit. He is making an effort now. Not sure I will ever completely forgive him though :(

OP posts:
Davinaaddict · 27/04/2012 07:43

What a tool! Angry Hope he sorts himself out, but if not at least you have your back up birth plan. I'd have been in the 'kick him' camp too Grin

McKayz · 27/04/2012 07:43

Fools I don't think I could forgive my DH for acting like that while I was on labour. Hope you're ok. X

Davinaaddict · 27/04/2012 07:45

Make him buy you lots of shoes/handbags/diamonds* for the next 18 years to make it up to you Grin

*delete as appropriate or not Grin

foolserrand · 27/04/2012 08:05

IPad. I'm all over it. He's taken ds down for breakfast and brought me up toast and a drink. He is trying hard to make up for it. A hug would be better though.

OP posts:
Davinaaddict · 27/04/2012 08:20

You'll probably need to ask for it, if your DH is anything like mine. Which sort of takes the shine off the hug then Sad TBF though it's usually because he's scared I'll kill him if he tries not thought about it, so once I ask, he's lovely Grin

How's the labour going? Smile

AnchorBun · 27/04/2012 08:25

Wwww!! Why did I go on draw something before checking the thread?! Go fools!!!

Try not to focus on dh being an arse, you can deal with that later, it doesnt need to spoil the rest of your labour. You're going to meet your baby! Wooo! Grin

foolserrand · 27/04/2012 09:38

Mum is on her way to watch ds then we can go to the hospital whenever. Dh is now helpful and subservient..... and answering to the name Fenton.

AnchorBun · 27/04/2012 09:45

Forgot to say, Ellie I posted the bags for you yesterday morning.

Mamma I haven't spoken to Trope properly, been giving her some time to enjoy her new family without me bugging her Wink they were at the beach yesterday but I couldnt make it. Meeting up next week though so if she hasn't updated by then I'll be able to fill you all in Grin

Lilly has been having all her naps in her cot the last couple of days and she's been a dream - I can just put her down in her cot awake, leave the room and off she goes to dream land Shock such a difference to the clingy baby I couldn't put down a couple of months ago! There's hope yet ladies!! Smile

Hope you're getting on ok Fools

AnchorBun · 27/04/2012 09:47

Oh xposted. Go Fools!!
Grin at Fenton!

TroubleAndFyfe · 27/04/2012 10:08

Grin go fools! GrinGrinGrin

MammaInTheMaking · 27/04/2012 10:19

Ridiculously excited for Fools. Just push the childishness of DH aside, you and baby are far more important right now and it looks like something's twigged in his brain to realise this. Deal with him later. Oooohhhh another baby on the thread!!

And well done Lilly - she's turned into a proper super star this week hasn't she!

Did lots of 'on all 4s' and bouncing on the ball last night in the hope it'll encourage bubs to switch round, i'm not convinved yet though. In the June baby thread the first baby has arrived at 31+5. We've all seen a photo and it's had a huge impact on me...he's just perfect, breathing on his own, doesn't look poorly or weak or anything. Just a couple of wires at the moment and by the sounds of it he's doing really fantastically. It just hit me yesterday that this wiggler in me is just like that little boy (except 2 weeks older). All perfectly formed and a BABY! I still have it in my head it's an alien! Haha, i probably sound completely bonkers but I still can't get my head round the fact that it's an ACTUAL BABY! Jeeeez....better start getting used to it....... Confused :o
