Davinaaddict · 13/04/2012 17:11

Oops - strike through fail! Blame the excitement GrinBlush

MammaInTheMaking · 13/04/2012 22:48

fools I think you've just drawn me a pic of a person with a red top and a green square in front of them. Such a good pic but I can't work out what it is......Sad

elliebug · 13/04/2012 23:05

Is it a sports person of some description??

foolserrand · 13/04/2012 23:42

Popeye. But what's he holding?

OP posts:
AnchorBun · 14/04/2012 00:24

Spinach?

elliebug · 14/04/2012 07:12

So spent last night in hospital cos baby wasn't moving much, heart rate a bit high, they've just put in a cannula OW and told me to ring OH cos they might deliver baby this morning. Shit. Better get a move on fools Smile

foolserrand · 14/04/2012 07:22

Oh my god! ellie! Not the surprise expected this morning! How many weeks are you? What will that mean for you and baby? Are you ok? What does it mean for your plans, feeding, birth etc?

You're totally welcome to the spot if you and baby will be ok. That is totally the important thing here and I'm so not ready! I didn't mean it when I said I'd hate you. I'm incapable of that emotion. I'll be checking in all day, just in case you have time to update.

McKayz · 14/04/2012 07:27

Oh gosh Ellie I hope everything is going to be ok with you and baby!! Thinking of you! X

AnchorBun · 14/04/2012 08:54

Oh bloody hell Ellie! Hope you've got hold of your OH by now and that everything's going ok. Am I right in thinking you're 35 weeks (very questionable workings from your stats)? Thinking of you and will keep checking back on the thread Smile

TroubleAndFyfe · 14/04/2012 09:16

Hope all is well ellie, keep us posted when you can. Thinking of you! Smile

elliebug · 14/04/2012 10:32

Hi. Baby boy born at 0805 via emcs 6lb9, 35 weeks. he's in scbu doing ok as far as we are aware, not had chance for cuddles yet cos he needed some oxygen so got whisked away, will be visiting when spinal wears off. No name as yet, any suggestions?? Smile thanks for all the thoughts Smile

McKayz · 14/04/2012 10:44

Congratulations Ellie Grin

AnchorBun · 14/04/2012 11:41

!!!! WOW! Congratulations Ellie! Hope you get your cuddles very soon Smile Names, hmmm, well, if Lilly was a boy, the names we had were Harry or Elliot. ?

So excited for you! What an unexpected and wonderful Saturday morning surprise! Grin Hope little man is off the oxygen and in yours and his daddy's arms ASAP, sure he will be!

Yay for Baby Boy Bug! Grin

foolserrand · 14/04/2012 12:10

Ellie! Fantastic! So glad he's doing well now and hope you're having cuddles right now. Names... we have Barnaby as our backup boy name, but maybe not best as your surname starts with S. (His initials would be BS. Can you imagine?!) How about Noah?

On another note, a heavily pregnant woman skipping down the road singing this and this loudly while smiling and with 2 big rottweillers in tow doesn't cause passers-by to give odd looks. It makes them turn and run. Fast. This, in turn, made me smile more. LINKS NOT SUITABLE FOR SMALL EARS DUE TO NAUGHTY WORDS.

Davinaaddict · 14/04/2012 12:25

Congratulations ellie Smile Gosh, that was a surprise (and for you as well I bet)! Hope he's out of SCBU soon and you find some inspiration for his name Grin How are you feeling? Still on lots of painkillers I imagine Smile

Any news on trope Bun?

It all seems to be happening at once!

Davinaaddict · 14/04/2012 12:30

Haha - Lauren's just having her bum changed and is avidly watching Fireman Sam Grin I think she's going to be a tomboy Grin

McKayz · 14/04/2012 13:26

Ellie, I hope you're having cuddles now. Smile

The MW rang this morning to say the consultant wanted to rush me through for another growth scan. So I have to go on Monday and then go see him afterwards. It's all a bit of a pain as I need to find someone to get the boys from school or go to hospital on my own.

ghosteditor · 14/04/2012 14:11

ellie congratulations and I hope you and your son are recovering well! That must have been scary but it sounds like all is well. That's a great size for a 35 weeker!

Our boys names were Henry, Oliver, Jacob, Max, George, Theo, or Miles!

AnchorBun · 14/04/2012 14:46

I'm < BONG >ing all over the shop today! [win]

Ellie, Trope has asked me to pass on her congrats to you Smile She hopes you get your baby cuddles soon because she knows how hard it is having to wait - her DP got all the early fuzzy cuddles whilst she was in recovery for a while.

Trope and co are hoping to go home today but her final discharge bloods showed a sudden worsening of her anaemia so they're now having to wait for them to retest. There's talk of a blood transfusion Sad so massive FX for better blood results this time round!

On a brighter note, Fuzzy (still no name announcement) is feeding brilliantly and Trope is catching up on lots of newborn snuggles Smile

"Can't wait to go home and have some peace and quiet though, the post natal ward is busy!"

Congratulations again ladies, what a busy few days this thread has had! Thanks

MammaInTheMaking · 14/04/2012 15:16

Gigantic congratulations Ellie. Sounds like you had a real rollercoaster the last day or so but now your precious boy is here! I hope you're feeling ok and not in too much pain.

Definitely you next Fools Grin

elliebug · 14/04/2012 17:01

Thanks everyone Grin have just had some lovely snuggles, unfortunately Jacob Stanley is in intensive care cos he wasn't too impressed with this breathing lark!! But he is stable now.
Noah was my fave but as I we aren't married Jacob will have a surname that would be cruel to use with Noah Sad we are saving it for the dog Grin time for some yummy hospital food then going to try and express some milk for my little man, fingers crossed Smile
