Good morning all!

I did what I promised I wouldn't and weighed myself this morning. I have put on 5lbs already! Well, I suppose that would happen as I haven't stopped eating for the past five weeks.

Thankfully the nausea has pretty much stopped so I can slow down on the constant grazing.

To my scan twin MsInterpret hope all goes well and looking forward to hearing your news later.

Also hope your scan MakeTea goes well this morning too.

Will report back after scan. x

GizzyBoo · 22/03/2012 10:19

Morning ladies Smile

Good luck to all the scanners today. There is a few of you? Hope all goes well and will await news later Smile

I have to sort myself out....I am currently spending most of every morning lounging on the sofa in my pj's drinking tea. I just really cant be bothered doing anything Blush

I am going to get dressed now....yes I am!!

GizzyBoo - you go girl! You shouldn't rush into these things though.

Given half a chance I would still be in my PJ's drinking tea too. Instead I'm at work - shuffling papers around my desk, wishing I was at home in my PJ's LOL.

Winnie81 · 22/03/2012 10:51

Morning ladies!

Well my scan went well yesterday and pip was very lively! It is the most uncomfortable thing though cos of the full bladder!!

I'm just passing a bit of time by hoovering the stairs whilst we wait to leave for the cvs test. Im quite calm and with the theory that "what will be will be". Im of course hoping for a good outcome on the results but a bit of a wait ahead for the next couple of weeks!

Good luck to everyone else having scans today and next week x will keep u posted x

Pezzina · 22/03/2012 11:26

Glad your scan went well Winnie - that's great news! Grin Good luck for the CVS test x

GizzyBoo · 22/03/2012 11:58

Yay for the scan Winnie

Good luck for today too xxx

I am dressed, I have hung the washing out, I have washed up. That's enough, right?? Blush

Nice one winnie and best of luck with the CVS.

My scan was great this morning - really gorgeous with little one doing some thumb - sucking and breakdancing. However she dated me a week further along giving me a new due date of Sep 26th so I am an imposter on this thread! Please can I stay?

GizzyBoo · 22/03/2012 12:41

Wow.....Tea that sounds wonderful. I so can't wait to see my little button on Tuesday. And lucky you! A week less to wait Grin And yes....you can stay so long as you promise top go at least a week overdue Wink

GizzyBoo · 22/03/2012 13:08

I shall be holding you to that Wink

Ooo gizzy my scan's on Tuesday too - exciting! :o

Winnie81 · 22/03/2012 14:43

Hi guys, lol I got dated 27th sept yesterday but having had 2 edd now I'm sticking with 2nd oct!

Well cvs didn't get done as my bloody bowel and bladder were in the way! So we have to wait for 3 weeks (when they think I'll be 16 weeks) I will then have an amnio. It's a bit of a pain but nothing I can do!

We were gonna wait to make it more public till after the results but as that is now about 5 weeks away im thinking that if people find out then they find out!

The consultant was really lovely and really funny and totally put dh at ease!

On a lovely other note I saw pip again oh and consultant and dh were laughing also at my "bubbling bowel" Grin

GizzyBoo · 22/03/2012 14:49

I love living on my twee little island .....
Just had a call from my midwife asking if I was better after my chest/sinus infection last week. She also wanted to wish me luck for my scan next week and said to give her a call when I get back and we can meet for a cuppa as she hasn't seen me for a while!!!

And the sun is shining today Grin

it's very exciting Mouse I can not wait!!

Awww Winnie I don't think I would be able to keep quiet for any longer either. Tis a shame you have to wait for another few weeks but it cant be helped. And another scan.....YAY Grin

Wow, we are a very happy thread today, it feels good :)

And I've taken everyone's advice - thank you ladies for your thoughts - and told my boss....who cried! Grin She was so happy and she knows I've had loads of tests & trying and bla bla bla so felt good to tell her. Plus I wasn't happy to lie to her about appointments and things so feels good to be honest. She was planning for me to step into her shoes in the near future but hell, what's the saying "while you make plans, God laughs"?!?!

So feeling v groovy here too :)

LoopyLa · 22/03/2012 15:25

Winnie do you think you'll be able to hide your belly til 16 wks? Is there less risk in an amnio to cvs or are they the same? I have no clue about these things! Hmm

Hi girls Winnie and maketea I'm so pleased the scans went well.
Winnie I'm sorry that you didn't get to have the cvs. Good luck for the amnio

Winnie81 · 22/03/2012 17:39

Loopy - I think the risk is lower for amnio because they only take fluid from the sac. CVS involves them taking cells from the placenta.

Bubble - how are you doing today??

Im not sure whether I can disguise my belly that far along but all close friends, family and work friends know anyway so I dont need to bother hiding it for them. Its just other people/ friends that we know, its not easy going to the pub and hiding that im not having a drink, especially as we live that close we wouldnt drive! oh well if they find out they find out!

There are also people that dont know our history which is the reason for the tests etc. If things were to go wrong then its the fact of explaining everything over and over to them. Anyway it doesnt really matter as people still put their foot in it now so I spose we are used to it!

The results will take upto 2 weeks to come back, so I will be 18 weeks when we get them. That is what scares me the most.

Anyway sorry for such a long post, if only I could write that much for my uni dissertation!!!!lol

J x

Bubblebell1 · 22/03/2012 17:47

Oh winnie that is late along to find out any bad news. But I am sure everything will fine.

I'm feeling abit better. Crying and talking about it really helps. Dp has been great again and it makes me wonder where the other day came from.

MsInterpret · 22/03/2012 18:20

Hi everyone - congrats on the scans everyone, lovely to hear good news.

Ours was good too. Saw a kicking and punching and generally energised wee bean! For some reason unknown, looking at the scan I had a flash of 'It's a boy' but who knows why and I'm probably wrong. He/she was sitting upright so MW couldn't get a good nuchal measurement so I have to have a blood test version t my 16wk appointment.

They dated me same as my LMP dates so I'm still on 28 Sept. And definitely too comfy to move to the Sept thread, just like you make tea! On my last antenatal thread we were Nov 09 and there were babies born from September to December.

MsInterpret · 22/03/2012 18:22

PS How's DD today make tea? Any better?

Bubblebell1 · 22/03/2012 18:49

Congratulations msinterpret. So glad everything went well Grin

DameFlatYouLent · 22/03/2012 18:55

Loopy that's great news about your boss' reaction! What a relief. Also how lovely that she saw you filling her post...that's a boost you can remember whilst on mat leave!

MakeTeaNotWar · 22/03/2012 20:27

Ooh it is a happy thread today! Happy news from you both msinterpret and loopy yay!

DD much better today thanks - some more spewing earlier but after a sleep is much more cheerful so hopefully is on the mend. Relief!

It all feels so real now, like the journey has really begun! I need to get a further blood test for chicken pox immunity though as I've never had it and it seems to be doing the rounds in the nurseries round here - eek!

goodsenseofdirection · 22/03/2012 22:33

Congratulations on the fantastic news winnie msinterpret and maketea !!

bubble i hope you are bearing up ok

emmie cake sounds good - only my dad isn't too happy with the news and that is difficult enough so hope you are ok. I'm sure your family will all come round though - as soon as they realise a baby is on the way and you are more than capable of looking after it. I think we share a scan date - next wednesday!

gizzy i wish i could stay in bed til late every day!! i do love my job but even that isn't stopping me daydreaming about staying in bed every morning! so glad tomorrow is friday.
