Morning girls.

Congrats gucci glad everything went well.

emmie hope your ok after your stitch.

Good luck winnie. Will be thinking of you.

Everything here is just ticking along nicely. Have been feeling movements and and listening to the babies heartbeat.

Don't want to tempt fate but my heel and hip have stopped hurting. So I have resumed my normal walk and don't look like I'm imitating a horse anymore.

Hope everyone else is well,

Grin

RnB how far along are you? I can feel shuffling if I lie very still with my hands on my tummy (I feel them in my hands rather than my tummy iyswim) but not proper kicks :)

Glad everyone is feeling well.

Great news Gucci and fab advice from your bro!

I am 15 weeks tomorrow Shock How on earth did that happen??
I too am loving the flip flopping going on in my belly....its just the most amazing feeling and is still just as amazing with #4 Grin

I have turfed the teenagers out of bed this morning and given them until 12pm to do their rooms or I enter armed with bin bags! Anything on the floor or not put away will be chucked. I don't normally go in but feel the need for a spring clean. And the weather is so lovely I am on a mission to wash everything in sight while I can get it out on the line Grin

Good luck today Winnie....hope everything goes well for you Smile

RunningOutOfIdeas · 12/04/2012 10:27

Good Morning All.

I haven't posted for ages. I had a bad case of 'The Fear' as my scan date approached - due to a mmc last time. Fortunately everything was fine with my scan yesterday. I am either 13+4 or 13+6 depending on whether they go by my dates or Pip's size.

The sonographer was having a bad day yesterday, every baby she saw was hiding at least one vital organ from her, so she had a succession of women leaving her room, going for a walk / hot coffee / jump around and then going back in for another go. When she got to me she started off really happy because Pip was the right way round, then just as she was about to measure the nuchal fold pip rolled over and pointed its bum at her!

emmie I hope everything went well for you yesterday. And Winnie good luck for today.

MakeTeaNotWar · 12/04/2012 10:37

16 + 1 here and don't feel anything yet - in fact last night I dreamt the midwife couldn't find a heartbeat :( but hopefully she will next week at my next check up. I've got a rotten cold and a barking cough, bit miserable here this morning.

GizzyBoo · 12/04/2012 10:46

Excellent news Running and its lovely to see you back Smile

Maketea everything is just fine in there, I'm sure. The wee baby will be poking and prodding you in no time Smile I hope you feel better soon xx

Hi Karina and welcome. Hope the sickness passes for you soon. My ms went at about 11/12 weeks but I am still feeling really shattered most of the time.

I am feeling rather snippy of late and things upset me all the time. This is most unlike me. I was sobbing to hubby last night and didn't know why. I just don't like feeling out of control emotion wise.
I am hoping this passes soon Blush

OP posts:
pinpan · 12/04/2012 11:11

I share your sobbing pain, Gizzy - not every day thank goodness, but every so often the world just makes me want to cry, and it's so frustrating not having any decent reason (other than hormones Hmm). My midwife cheerily just said, "oh, it only gets worse," which is not comforting. Smile

MakeTea, I'm 16+2 or 16+5 depending on who you listen to, and not yet feeling anything that is enough like a baby to declare it so, though I'd like to think that not all of the gurgles are my digestive system.

The other night I dreamed about a day old baby that could already sit up and talk. It was a bit disturbing! So far I think all my baby dreams have been boys - next scan in a fortnight so we'll see...

Winnie81 · 12/04/2012 15:56

Hello everyone, i survived my test this morning!

Although they were running late (an hour) they managed to do the test. They had to push my bowel out the way with the scanny thing. I have to say it was not a nice feeling when the needle popped through my skin and then again through my womb. The consultant was very good and reassuring. The baby moved and nearly hit the needle so he had to pull it out a bit!

I'm now resting on the sofa as I'm a bit tender so dh is taking good care of me bless him.

Now it's upto 2 week wait for the results. We also asked them not to tell us the sex!

Hope everyone is well and ok xxx

Pezzina · 12/04/2012 16:32

Hi all,

Winnie so glad to hear you survived your test and even better news that you're being so well looked after by your dh.

Sorry I haven't posted for a while but our house move is going along at a great pace and packing has commenced - which is taking up most of my time.

I've got my 16 week check up with the midwife tomorrow. So far I've had a few 'flutterings' of Junior moving around but only when I'm lying down, still. Looking forward to feeling a lot more!

Good news is my dh has found my old maternity clothes - woohooo! Was starting to get desperate and didn't really want to fork out a fortune on new stuff. Am wearing maternity trousers at work today and IT IS BLISS! Especially needed after the Easter weekend Blush

GizzyBoo · 12/04/2012 17:37

I am pleased all went well Winnie You look after yourself now x

I think I might have to cave in to pressure to find out the sex of this wee button. I don't want to find out at the 20 week scan but hubby and the kids are all wanting to know. I seem to be getting my own way in a lot of the other decision making shizzle so maybe I can just let this one go and give them their way??

Pezzina my fat jeans arrived today and I haven't been so comfortable in weeks! it IS bliss!
Good luck with the moving thing. I moved at 20 weeks last time and it was hard work. Hope all goes well xx

Hi Gizzy
It does seem so tempting to try find out sex cause then you can prepare, but my cousin had two snippets for me. The first is her friend found out sex , told girl I think, bought everything colour relevant and it turned out to be the opposite gender.
The other snippet is finding out is like Christmas- your really excited wanting to know what your presents are but then once you've opened them the shine isn't quite the same.
I guess its different when you already have children though?

Beeblebear · 12/04/2012 18:55

OH MY .. I'm turning green Envy Envy Envy BlushBlushBlush

I just let out the biggest smellyest Silent but Deadly fart when i got up from my desk to use the copier!

THANK GOD nobody walked by or was sitting in reception. I nearly threw up.

Whooops!

MsInterpret · 12/04/2012 19:56

Blush beeble! How come you're still at work? Wait, are you another antipodean that I've missed? Sorry if so!

Glad things went well for you winnie and hope you're feet are still up on the sofa!

We definitely want to find out the sex. Last time it made it all the more real for me and she started becoming a person, not just a mysterious baby. This time will be good to help prepare DD I think, although she has already told me it's both and boy and a girl and that it should be called 'Eagle' Shock Grin

Good luck with the move pezzina! We moved at 34 weeks last time...sounds crazy but was definitely worth it.

MissPollysTrolleyed · 12/04/2012 20:54

Grin at Beeble's SBD! Soon you'll have a baby that you can blame for all noxious smells.

Winnie best of luck with your results. Poor you with the needle. That sounds horrid.

Pezzina I am Envy at your house move. We could really do with moving and I've seen a house I love but my DH didn't like the vendor so has taken a dislike to the house too.

Gizzy I am a right old grump these days too. Everyone's congratulating me and I'm not responding very enthusiastically despite being absolutely overjoyed to be pregnant after a long time TTC. Sickness and exhaustion can really take the shine off pregnancy. Hopefully we'll be through with all that soon though.

Pheebs24 · 12/04/2012 22:51

Shock why did I not read this before going shopping today???? Bought 3 lovely bits from H&M maternity, which I still really like, but even so...

On the plus side, as an ex credit card junkie, I am going to feel very proud and self-righteous and not go on the DP website to spend even more Grin

Still not moved on the blocked sink tho - bought replacement bits so will hopefully just remove clogged nasties and replace pipe without too much gunk-examining. Can't put it off much longer cos the dirty dishes are piling up and making me look like even more of a house-sl*t than I usually do.

Did anyone find another way of getting the free dental forms? saw the mw yesterday and forgot to ask again... maybe if I ring the surgery she can leave one out for me?

Loopy have you had your 1st scan yet? Get mine on Monday and am starting to think I shouldn't take Mum with me in case there's something untoward.

I don't like all this new and extra worrying - I confessed to my sister that I can't walk the dog in the woods or a local estate anymore because I'm too worried that something will go wrong and I'll be totally preggo and incapable somehow!

LoopyLa · 13/04/2012 08:41

Morning ladies

Pheebs we're almost scan buddies! Mine is a day later on Tuesday and have equal amounts excitement and "the fear" Sad Nothing seems to be getting bigger or growing apart from my blubber cos I'm eating too damn much!

Speaking of which, I foolishly put myself on the scales. I've put on a stupid 10lbs in 7 weeks - 10lbs!!! WTF is that about?!! Angry I don't how to manage my weight gain at all & really concerned its going to get out of control. I know it's really the last thing I should be worried about at this point but it seems extreme - plus I fought SO hard in the last 2 years to get my weight down in the first place but can't manage my pregnancy diet on just 1200-1400 calories, I feel starving. Any thoughts ladies or advice? Anyone who's lost weight in the past and now concerned about the amount of weight gain?

My only option is to breast feed until my child starts secondary school - that's not weird right?!! Blush Blush Blush

McPopcornMouseNFries · 13/04/2012 09:32

loopy I put on a lot in the first 6 weeks too and have a sneaky suspicion that it's water retention? :)

GizzyBoo · 13/04/2012 12:58

I think I must be lucky with my weight so far as I am still 5lb lighter than before I got pregnant. I do put this down to me being fat anyway though and the fact I have stopped drinking (I was a bit of a lush with the red wine Blush) and my appetite has shrunk somewhat.
I do need to keep an eye on my sugar intake though.....pregnancy is the only time I like chocolate and sweet things. I grow massive babies and need to try and keep the sugar down.

OP posts:
McPopcornMouseNFries · 13/04/2012 13:07

I've had no morning sickness, but chocolate makes me feel properly barfy so it's off the cards, sob

Beeblebear · 13/04/2012 14:14

Eating chocolate in the evening gives me serious heartburn so I guess i'll just have to eat it for breakfast

Pheebs24 · 13/04/2012 16:34

I haven't dared weigh myself so I don't know what I've put on! My clothes got tight pretty quickly though... I'm hoping that on the next few weeks my energy may come back a bit and I can start walking/swimming or preganancy pilates to help stop things getting too out of hand.

The good news is that my sister has lost all her baby weight and except for a teeny tummy is more toned than she has ever been just trying to keep up with her two boys!!!

Just have to remember not to eat their leftovers at mealtimes Wink
