hugs innocent a friend of mine is going through the exact same thing right now, shes pregnant and her DP has a 3yr old girl with his ex who has now said my friend isnt allowed near the little girl or she will stop her ex seeing her too. Im pretty sure its all jealousy and its probably the same in your case and im sorry youre having to go through it :( I know its hard when youve got someone going on and on at you but try and stay strong and as calm as you can. Get DSD off to bed, try and block contact with the ex if shes sending messages or w/e and just sit and relax. I hope your DP is home soon to look after you! She sounds like a psycho and you dont deserve it or need it right now. Feel free to PM me on FB too if you need!

woowa · 09/11/2011 21:59

just chekcing in , nothing to add, apart from YAWN extreme sleepiness. I think the 3rd trimester has hit. xx

I am the same woowa and really breathless to the point where friends are commenting!
Innocent, hope the passing of a couple of hours and a good cry has made you feel better (unmumsnetty but ok cause i'm pg and hormonal) (hug)

littlemonkeybix · 09/11/2011 22:54

innocent how poo Sad Hope you've got some of it out the way on here, and you feel a little better! Big unmumsnetty hugs from merseyside too!!

mellie that FB status "I'm just getting more awesome" was the one my bro put up. Him being the older bro, who got kicked out after violence in our house, and alcohol abuse still, and massive debt and and and... So the fact he's been trying to repair relationships for the past 2 years seems to have slipped recently!! Hmmm just a facade? Or just a nob without a brain?!

Anyway, anough of that rant... Currently in bed, after yummy tea, got all my washing done, and DP just waiting for his shirts in the dryer. One step closer to the weekend (phew!!)

Ooh on that note, DP got a call from his nephew to invite us to a housewarming this w/end. It's all been odd with his nephew, so I'm hoping this will keep a few bridges clear!! We found out word of mouth that his GF is due just after me... But the news was late, and not everyone knew (?) Whereas we were telling everyone once 12weeks hit Grin

Sorry, just realised waffling, and prob riddled with typos as on phone!! Night all... Wishing you all a better day tomorrow!! X

louby86 · 09/11/2011 23:11

Sorry you're feeling so rubbish innocent rant away and let it all out on here if it makes you feel better, it's what we're here for Smile

Got my midwife appointment tomorrow, bit worried she's going to tell me off as I've still been stubborn and refused to do the chlamydia tests she keeps giving me. Suppose I should just do it and shut up, I just feel like I'm being picked on because apparently I fall in the 'young mother' category which ends at 25 Hmm

Hope we all have happy hormonal days tomorrow Smile

littlemonkeybix · 09/11/2011 23:23

louby I made sure I got all the tests, inc chlamydia and hiv... And I'm 32 and have been settled forever... Just thought better safe than sorry, if only for pip! I had no reason really to think otherwise, but still had a bit of a panic and a "what if..." moment!!

Right... Bed now, honest

Crazybit · 10/11/2011 06:15

Grin @ Kayano. I too am a lazy bitch.

Innocent, how are you feeling today. i find it very perculiar that DSD has the energy and time to stalk you, obviously doesn't want you having DSD picture on your profile etc but is more than happy to let you continue looking after her when you/or DP have asked her if she can have DSD back for the night. I konw if someone was looking after my dd and where ill or struggling, I certainly wouldn't want my dd there, I'd rather have her at home with me. She certainly sounds as though she has issues.

QueenFee-breathlessness can be a sign of anemia, you had your bloods checked?

Littlemonkey-Could it be that DPs DNs GF Grin has someone close to her that has suffered a m/c or something? We where quite closed in telling peple as DPS DA m/c so we didn't want to rub it in. Ha at your brother writing that, it makes me laugh when people do stuff like that, like they're trying to convince themselves they're happy happy!

Louby-I'd just do it, no biggy and out of the way then, plus if there's any chance at all you could have it, it can be dangerous for baby.

Well, i've been up since 4.45. DD2 wet the bed. She's not been long going without a nappy on a night and is usually ok if we lift her for the toilet around 11-12 at night. DP decides he's gonig to bed early last night and took her around 10. I knew she's wet the bed and said to leave her and I'd stay up and do it, but no, he had to know best. Then he kept me awake tossing and turning so we didn't get to sleep till after midnight anyway. Now, I've got dd cleaned and back to bed and I can't sleep, am hungry. So I've come down to have cereal and enjoying the peace in a shattered type of way.

Happy Birthday Squiglettsmummy BTW!

Just out of interest, has anyone else's bump shrunk? Mine seems to have gone right down, mw said babys head is down so could be that he's just moved down further, strange.

Anyway, hope everyone has a fandabbydozy day.

Hello, i finally feel confident enough to join if you'll have me. ive popped on to lurk a few times and always smile that youve all mkstly been doing and thinking the same as myself. So:

Due 21st feb, 25+2 today
Been keeping 'quiet' as had MC last yr seemed to take a while to concieve and had quit a bit of anxiety.

I have a partial placenta previa. I would like an elective section but oh my the birth thing caises me lits of angst

I have a DS (6) and im SAHP
I also shop in Birmingham as i seen a couple of you have been to recently. Im studying an Open Uni module.

Ive read so much of this thread hope to get personals/up to date know you over nxt week or so.

But gotta say BILLCOM your 'shit' did make me laff so much a) as i thort its not just me wiv bother in the pantry b) at the innocent mistake of it all

Morning all

louby86 · 10/11/2011 09:35

Hello everyone and welcome bigeyes

Did all my tests today so I didn't get told off, feel bad for being stubborn now but I think it was just the way the first MW worded it and it stuck with me! In my rush to get there on time I forgot to bring my urine sample and then got stage fright and couldn't manage one in the surgery Blush

Heard baby's heartbeat for the first time though, was so lovely! And now she knows I'm off work because of everything that's going on she found out loads of classes I can start going to before the baby arrives so I was really grateful for that. I didn't know you could go to breastfeeding classes before you gave birth so I think I might do that to get a bit of confidence before turning up in tears with a baby a few months later Grin

lilyrose123 · 10/11/2011 10:46

innocent sorry you feel so upset :(
do things feel any better having slept on it? I hope so :)

pholssie when do you think you will move??? we are still waiting on planning permisson for extension or a buyer for ours......either gives me stress thinking about it LOL

I am very jealous of those finishing work soon i finish 13th Janurary but am using annual leave to drop hours from mid december, so another 4 weeks then less hours for five weeks :)

am organising afternoon tea at posh hotel for work girls rather than baby shower, we can just scoff and gossip and no one has to bake or wash up!

names....well my DD is Lily rose (hence my MN name) so for the pink team we like jasmine but also jessica is one of hubby's favourite's or Charlotte which is Lily's favourite but which I like cos I would just call her Lottie Grin
need a short middle name....maybe Ava or Grace?
for the blue team Jake, Hubby wants alan as middle name (family tradition) and also like Oliver as first name which I like...Ollie....but I dont like Oliver Alan, too many vowels, I like Jack, Tom and Ben too, I like short traditional names for the boys for some reason LOL

Had to succumb to ordering maternity uniform for work now as bump starting to protrude Hmm

26 weeks

lilyrose123 · 10/11/2011 10:51

p.s sorry i posted at the end of the previous page didnt realise there was another page i hadnt read!
sorry for any personals i have missed
welcome big eyes

deardear · 10/11/2011 11:14

welcome bigeyes. I didnt post for a while as i was scared stiff but its lovely to have a place to have baby speak as not everyone around you wants constant cooing noises and hormones lol

Innocent i hope you are feeling a bit better this morning and more positive.

Lilyrose i like charlotte grace. one of my best friends is charlotte (she was actually first person i told i was PG even before my DH!!) i like Ava as well but I am in team blue so no chance of a boy being called that lol. I do have Charlie for one of my preferred boys names though.

Hope everyones hormones are piping down a bit today.

littlemonkeybix · 10/11/2011 13:03

Welcome big eyes Smile Hope you find it as useful as I have.... This thread has saved my sanity!!! Especially during the weeks where only DP and me knew Grin

Crazy I don't think it was issues with previous MC etc. That little pocket of family have been odd for a while. One DN fell out with DP's mum (his GM) therefore stopped speaking to about 20 members of the family. Same DN got cobby cos several people didn't go to his wedding..... but he didn't INVITE them!!?? This DN has always been a bit quiet, but told a couple of family about the PG, and through grapevines we found out... but "we didn't know" until he texted DP at the weekend. DP has been very diplomatic and interested, so from that, we got a call yest to invite us to their house warming.

I get lost in it all to be honest, my family is TINY and DP's is MEGA! As it stands, I am nice to everyone, except one who has been rude to my face. I've been blocked by another as there was a blanket block on all the family.... but they've since kept in touch with DP and me via other routes, and explanied their blanket block. But generally, I just stay pleasant, but find some of it rather odd!

Today, I am suffering with sinus pain Sad and have 2 1/2 day's of training. 1 down, 1 to go... and my head is thumping! Anyone know of pills I can take to help... had some paracetamol, but usually only sudafed decongestants work on my tubes - please help

Xavielli · 10/11/2011 14:13

Head over a bowl of hot water with Vicks in it mOnkey. Not as effective as sudafed but gives a little relief.

Xavielli · 10/11/2011 14:15

Welcome big eyes! Sorry, I'm not really with it today. Feeling very tired and weepy. Ds2 is cheering me up tho (just taken 3 steps twice!!) and I'm looking forward to my Chinese with DP tonight

babycarmen · 10/11/2011 15:55

Was back at the doctors again today after crying my eyes out for 2 hours in pain this morning, seen a different doc from yesterday and they basically dont know whats wrong with me but hes going to speak to yet ANOTHER doctor and phone me later. :( Really hope they do something i cant cope with the pain anymore it comes for hours at a time!

Flu jab was fine - probably be my luck that i get sick though!

Will update later tonight when DD in bed and docs have hopefully been in touch and do personals.

melliebobs · 10/11/2011 17:23

It's now officially official. Last day at work is Monday 23rd January. Then 39 weeks of lovely maternity leave and when I return in November I have 27 days annual leave and 6 bank holidays to take before beginning of April! ROCK ON!!!!!!!!!! GrinGrinGrin

phlossie · 10/11/2011 18:38

That's rubbish babyC - I hope they get to the bottom of what's causing you so much pain.

Families, eh - they're weird enough when they're yours, but when they're your partners... You fall in love with your partner, not their family!

I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed. The plan is that the house sale will go through within the next 6 weeks or so, then the work starts and continues for the next 3 months. We'll then move in over the Easter holidays when baby is about 6 weeks old. Now if I had never moved house or had a baby I might be blissfully unaware of what a mental few months we have ahead of us!

Lovely names, Lilyrose. I teach a cute little girl called Lottie and have a friend with a very beautiful daughter called Jasmine - Jazzy - she's gorgeous.

babycarmen · 10/11/2011 18:49

Bigeyes welcome :)
Xavielli hope you feel better soon! And YAY for DS2 :)
monkey hope you feel better soon too, i agree with xavielli, that helps me too when im all clogged up! Im not sure what you can take being pregnant :/
lilyrose I love the name Jasmine, my friend just called her little girl it, if she hadnt i would of used it!
louby i refused the chlamydia test too, all though i had been tested (without my knowledge!) when i had my last smear so i guess it didnt matter too much.

Ok so the doctor phoned me back, they still think its my gallbladder so Ive to go back tomorrow morning for blood tests at 8.45am!! 3rd day in a row at the docs... :( He has also left a prescription of codeine there for me to pick up to help me get by, and i have to get an ultrasound scan at the hospital but i dont know when that will be, hopefully soon! I get the appointment by post. They also said if it gets worse during the night to go straight to a&e :( I should be fine though... And the worst bit... No fatty food = NO CAKE. So enjoy all your yummy food this weekend ladies and think of me living on boring fat free rubbbish. Envy

littlemonkeybix · 10/11/2011 19:00

I got some good news today!! My boss, who was on secondment, got the job! So he's permanent Grin which means he can liaise with me for my maternity leave.

It also means the other applicant didn't get it... He's the one shagging the girl on my team... Would have been VERY awkward if he'd have got it!! For everyone!!

Absolutely made up!

littlemonkeybix · 10/11/2011 19:07

Thanks for steam advice... I steam a lot when bunged... Problem is, I'm not snotty... Its face and head aches with sinus pain. I find steam doesn't quite get it, but sudafed tablets do. I'll have a word with the MW if it returns tmw... Today it eased about 3pm... Fingers crossed!!

Hope you're better soon carmen - I'm sure its something you could do without right now!

Hope we're all feeling ok though, just off to my body balance class... 1st excersize in 2 weeks... Its gonna kill me!! Eeek!

TheWicketKeeperIsDown · 10/11/2011 19:55

Sorry been out of touch - been completely floored with this virus since last weekend. It's also kicked the vomiting off again. Feeling thoroughly Sad

monkey, unfortunately we're really stuck with just paracetamol - decongestants are out of bounds. I feel your grimness - I keep waking up at 3 am with my throat killing me and feeling vile as the 5-6 hours between paracetamol doses just seems too long. Inhaling can help, though. My personal favourite is Friars Balsam - the smell reminds me of childhood! Hope you're feeling better soon. It's also worth putting a couple of drops or so of Olbas oil on your pillow at night (you can also inhale that from hot water).

QueenFee · 10/11/2011 20:47

You can use ortravine spray for a few days.
I also found sleeping with a karvol plug in on helps. I have suffered with my sinus's all though this pg. The dr gave me another spray too so if it carries on worth a visit to your gp.
I think this is partly why I am so breathless. I have had bloods checked
regularly and my iron levels have been fine.

woowa · 10/11/2011 21:59

checking in again to mark spot, yet another evening feeling totally exhausted so nothing to say! In fact feeling crummy all day, arguing with DH about (lack of) sex. Sigh... DD not daytime napping, think she's teething, as she usually can't sleep in day when she is. Saw dentist today, she said it's likely to be a canine coming through. I've heard they're the worst. LOTS of sleeplessness ahead then. NIght all

28+2

woowa · 10/11/2011 22:02

oh PS, just bought a bargain TENS machine on ebay for not much more than hire cost - i'm so worried about early labour that i'd rather just own one - looks like they have good resale value on ebay. Also bought TINY nappies this evening and breastfeeding nighty - last time I was the only BFer in my bay at hospital and didn't realise how public it would all be, and wasn't covered well enough to cope with all the staring people. This time I have a nice nighty to hide under. PJs are no good due to bleeding. So, apart from no baby clothes, I'm all set to go!! ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
