I only did it a test this morning and have not even told my husband yet!

Thanks catsy

Quenelle · 20/10/2011 09:17

Morning all.

I'm feeling quite brave now as a result of all your sympathy for my blood test ordeal. And I must say I'm really looking forward to doing it all again tomorrow Hmm.

Yorky congrats on your Thread of the Day. You are a true MNer Smile

LittleSarah my MW assumed I wasn't doing Parentcraft, either that or I don't even qualify this time round. I understand there are some areas of the country where even some first time mums don't qualify so I can't complain.

Catsycat I was looking longingly at a Frys bar in the shop this week. I didn't succumb though, I'm trying not to eat too much sugar because of the GD.

Any bloating I had seems to have gone and I don't think I'm showing at all, but DH says I am. And jeans are too uncomfortable now so I'm wearing non-maternity leggings. I don't know, I'll be glad when I've had these scans next week to set my mind at rest.

goodname · 20/10/2011 12:08

Had my 12 week scan yesterday and there is definitely a wee wriggly baby in there. Due 5th May now (only one day out from my estimated date). Now officially nervous, actually have no where to put this baby when it comes

Quenelle · 20/10/2011 12:43

goodname you don't need much space for a little baby. Our DS is 2.3 and not a tiny scrap by any means and there's plenty of room when we're all in the bed together Smile

Still quite natural to be nervous though. Great news about your scan.

Harecare · 20/10/2011 12:59

Got my scan this afternoon. Quite excited!!! I'm hoping they'll give me a week earlier for the date as with first 2 or I'm in big trouble for a wedding.
goodname fashion a crib from a drawer???

Harecare · 20/10/2011 16:08

My due date is now 28th April. Do I have to move to an April thread? It's a bit mad to actually see it for real - it doesn't get any less mad the more you have. There is definitely a very wriggly baby in there!

Yorky · 20/10/2011 16:41

I'd stay here Harecare, we're nicer It can get really frustrating being due at the end of the month when the rest of the thread have had their babies (DS2 due 24th May, arr 4th June)

Glad everything went well for you

Wrigglebum · 20/10/2011 18:48

Congratulations on all the good scans. We had ours today and we also have one very wriggly little baby in there! Is so strange seeing itdancing around in there but not able to feel a thing! We had to get it to wriggle into the right position so she could do the measurements for the nuchal translucency because by then it had settled into a strange position. So I had to wiggle my belly and cough a lot, very strange!

My dates were 3 days out (no surprise really since I'm irregular), so now due 6th May. Since I'll prob be a CS it might be an April baby but I'm sticking in May as we're all at the same stage of pregnancy.

Dorris83 · 20/10/2011 19:37

Congrats wrigglebum and harecare - i agree with Yorky- stick in the May club, you're settled in here :-)

I'm so jealous that you had your scans, my scan isn't until November first which is still ages! I keep worrying my little popped out belly will be noticed, but no comments yet!

cairnterrier · 20/10/2011 19:50

Am getting v impatient now, my scan's not until the 4th of November!

Woke up this morning feeling back to normal - yay! Then the sickness has started to creep back............. Still at least I'm still up :)

Thinking of you all x

DialMforMummy · 20/10/2011 20:21

Good scan for me too today. Very relieved indeed as a few of my friends miscarried recently. One of them is refusing to talk to me (she was due at the time as me Sad)
I am very sad for her but at the same time it's not my fault, is it? I can't help thinking that were I to miscarry she probably talk to me again... It's been over 3 weeks now, not sure if our friendship is going to survive this Sad

mildertduck · 20/10/2011 20:58

Hello hello, not been around these parts for a while...

Still throwing up here there and everywhere and the fatigue has come back. Booo! Still; scan on Tuesday, so exciting times.

I am envious of everyone with their bumps though - I have accidentally lost 1/2 a stone and my jeans still fit... there is a teeny bit of bump but nothing to make me hit the shops yet. Probably not surprising since I can only manage about half of what I used to eat.

Harecare · 20/10/2011 21:53

mildertuck accidentally lost half a stone? Wow! Wish I could do that. From today I am going to ban all rubbish food as I've been especially rubbish in the last week or so. 2 bags of crisps last night and 2 cream cakes today! Oh dear.
I will stay here then, thanks Yorky and Doris.
dialM - Maybe give your friend a bit of time, she may be worried if she sees you she'll feel sad as it'll remind her, or that you'll talk about the pregnancy which will be upsetting. Maybe just let her know that you're there for her and you can't wait to meet up to chat about/to do...? Whatever you normally chat about/do when you're not pregnant.

Wrigglebum · 21/10/2011 07:52

Harecare, I also need to cut out some of the junk when the nausea is a bit better. When they weighed me yesterday I was only about a kg lighter than my final midwife appt in my last pregnancy Blush. I've noticed I can only manage small portions now so that might help keep the weight in check.

We told DS about the baby, he said he was 'incited' and would play cars with the baby Smile.

LadyMaybe · 21/10/2011 09:30

Hi - had my scan too and all is good here, although slight oddness with dates, they're keeping 6 may as date even though I'm measuring nearly a week ahead. Will ask why at my appt in a couple of weeks.
We had a trainee with our sonographer so got a really long detailed look at all the anatomy, and good nuchal measurement at 1.5mm. Very wriggly and rolling around, oh she also said she could see my placenta is at the front so it might be a while before I feel movements - boo!

I'm on my phone so a bit tricky to do personals. Would just say to dialM though, 3 weeks is really not long when recovering from a miscarriage and it's prob going to be really hard for her to deal with her loss and still be happy for you - time is the only thing that helps IME, hang in there, the friendship needn't fail.

cupcakefairy · 21/10/2011 12:47

Hi ladies... fab news all those with good scans.
Floydie and CODwidow so so sorry to hear your news :( really hope you're both coping ok and please do pop back to tell us when you're pregnant again.

DialM so sad about your friend :( I agree with ladymaybe though, having been there myself it is the HARDEST thing ever to see people at the same stage of pregnancy as you should have been. I have a friend with a dd the same age as my lost angel should've been and even now it's quite weird to think I should have one her age but obviously I had my ds just a few months later who wouldn't have existed without the mc. Your friend will get over it, it just takes time and as others have said, let her know you're there whenever she's ready to talk and you don't take her loss lightly. She will heal, and get pregnant again.

My scan is Wednesday...still convinced it'll be bad news but we'll see Hmm

Little9 · 21/10/2011 20:48

Congrats to all those with good scans.

This time next week I'll know if all is well as have my scan on Friday. So scared!! Going to be a loooooong week!! :(

Yorky · 22/10/2011 09:20

Little9 you have my sympathy - Monday is taking ages to get here!

Little9 · 22/10/2011 10:41

Good luck, Yorky. I'm sure all will be well. Only two more sleeps for you!! :0

Little9 · 22/10/2011 10:42

That was supposed to be a big grin at the end, but used wrong 0, Doh!!! :o

dreamingofanallotment · 22/10/2011 11:09

myweeangel I have had the milk thing too - since I was about 9, milk has been evil and I'd eat cereal but leave a bowl of slightly cerealy milk left over at the end. Past few weeks though I've been drinking glasses of milk. Very very odd!

I'm very Envy at ladies with scans soon - mine isn't until next Mon...that's aggggges! So I will be joining you Little9 in having a looooong week! Doesn't help that I'm on half term this week so haven't got work to make it whizz by!

Congrats to all ladies that have had good scans :)

Wrigglebum what a cute reaction from your DS! How old is he?

myweeangel · 22/10/2011 17:34

dreaming - A whole week for half term??? We get two measly days. Notion for cereal and milk continues! DH doesn't work on Fridays and I arrived home yesterday to an almost-ready shepherd's pie. Unfortunately what I did have of it didn't stay down for long! So have told DH that I can't be polite with his efforts any more. Body is in charge and that's that. I fear he may never cook another meal!
Hang in there re the scan, your baby will be all the more "baby-like" when you get a peek. :)

DialM - Poor you, what a tricky situation. Try not to blame yourself and just be there for her. One of my colleagues came up to me when i announced I was pregnant and said a bitterly "Well done for getting out again" (ie getting a maternity leave). In fact, she nearly spat the words at me! She married late, never had children and terribly regretted it but how dare she make ME feel bad. As if a maternity leave was the only reason I wanted another baby. Grrrr. But we have to bite our tongues and try to see it from their points of view. We are lucky to be in the positions we're in. Rant over. Hope your friend comes round.

Harecare · 22/10/2011 20:27

myweeangel Only 2 days, that's rubbish. We've got a whole week too. Hooray!!! I don't know why I'm excited, it's not like I'm a teacher. Although the mornings will be a bit more relaxed with no school run we've got quite a packed week ahead of us. "well done for getting out again"??? What a peculiar and bitter thing to say. It's not your fault if she doesn't like her job.
little9 and dreaming Over a week does seem a long way away, It'll be worth the wait though. dreaming you keep reminding me to look into an allotment. Will do that now!

Wrigglebum · 22/10/2011 22:26

Dreaming he's 2.3 and is very sweet. He's such a nice natured boy. He now knows there's a baby in mummy's tummy so he likes to stroke my belly very tenderly... before jabbing his finger in my belly button rather hard!

Glad I'm not craving milk, I don't like the stuff at all, do eat insane amounts of yoghurt and cheese so don't need the calcium. I had no cravings at all last time (other than general junk and sugary crap) and no sign of any yet- how boring!

Myweeangel she sounds delightful! Some people really need to take lessons in manners and decency.

Good luck to all those still waiting on scans, it's so magical when you see that little baby in there! I couldn't believe the difference a few days makes to the baby- my scan with DS was at 10+5 and he still looked rather alien-like. This time it was 11+4 and it looked so much more like a proper baby!

lindorchocs · 23/10/2011 10:24

Hi Everyone,
I've had some very bad news, after a bit of spotting last wednesday (on the train) had to go to hospital to get checked out and to cut a very few harrowing days short am having further investigations into an ectopic pregnancy so feeling a bit crap today. Luckily my DH drove to collect us from relations house so I got to sleep in my own bed last night. Havent told our DD but think I will today as its VERY obvious something is up.
Good Luck with your pregnancies and hope everything goes well for THE day in May! xxx
