Now I know the threads we were in weren't finished, but there were 3 threads for the September due dates, and I thought it would be nice to get everyone together and share their experiences.

Stats thread is here If you aren't on there, then get adding yourself.

Hopefully we can all get through the last stint together :)

I'm due 1st Sept, so one month to go, if the LO is punctual.

feralgirl cheering you on :o hope it goes ok look forward to seeing you on other side.

We had first rough eve after 5hr cluster feed on/off then LO had 3hrs of crying with wind, eventually got her to sleep next to me on bed at 1am was exhausted, then moved her to basket 20mins later. She then slept till now 4am, just fed her again fingers Xed she resetttles so I can go back to sleep now. DH back to work today gonna miss him but hopefully a quiet day as DD1 at grannys till 4pm gosh I need some sleep so hoping to nap all day :)

Still cheering you on through BHs and various pre-lab delights sure it won't be long before few more little hungry babes join the world x

Conkertree · 06/09/2011 07:05

Yay feralgirl - hope you have a straightforward time of it.

Sorry to hear about your bad night Ssmile, but good that dd1 is entertained today. Hope you get to nap.

Going to start taking my pg multivitamins again today incase it was a lack of iron causing the fainting last night.

jimmijam · 06/09/2011 07:56

Congratulations feragirl!! Looking 4ward 2 hearing ur news!

100years · 06/09/2011 07:57

Excellent stuff feral, good luck.

Sewmuch hope all goes ok for you :)

Conker is the second bump cast ok? Are u ok after fainting?

Ssmile, hope your first day home alone is ok.

No new news from me. Must have had a dream that my waters broke because I woke and instinctively put my hand there to check! Had 4 pains that I'm aware of in the night. Woken and have a banging headache on one side and a slight pain high in my bump but mw here this morning so I'll be getting checked out, pretty sure it's nothing. Today is the day my EDD was from my period!

tiddleypompom · 06/09/2011 08:17

Great news from feral and fx here that thing progress quickly and well, and that we have happy stories from 2 of the herd today - good luck sewmuch also!

conker how horrid for you - fainting is not pleasant. Hope you're feeling better?

100years it would be very interesting if you had your baby today - on your LMP EDD. Mine was also put forward by 3 days following the first scan. Well, if your sweep is favourable then we might be in for a rush of babies! Good luck and I hope it is today for you.

Minky did the prunes work in the end? Your story made me laugh. Got to be better than caster oil anyway...

I have been up since 4am and am shattered. Was uncomfortable all night and then started to feel nauseous, which was a feeling that didn't leave until about an hour ago. My heart was racing (I have been getting palpitations throughout pregnancy) too - oh and LO decided he/she was also uncomfortable and joined in with some kicking. I googled symptoms in sheer hope that there might be a reason for feeling crappy, but guess it is all part of the fun of this last stretch!

Anyway, carpet fitters here today to do stair runner, so I'd better get dressed and looking less dreadful. Hoping they won't be here all day so that I can catch up on sleep.

Happy stories today please - cheer me up! :)

sebs71 · 06/09/2011 08:18

Yay feral - that's good news. Hope all going ok and look forward to some news... Think we all desperately need some!!

And good luck with induction sewtoomuch and sweep 100years!!

Conkertree hope you feeling ok?

Ssmile hope you manage nap and quiet day

DSS came back from school yesterday convinced something would happen tomorrow (7th) - either I start or even have LO. She can be spookily right about such things so I'm hoping she is this time!!

Didn't feel too good yesterday evening - felt period type cramps and lots of press. LO also v active. Also felt v v tired and bit sick. But got better and nada happened in night, except frequent trips to loo and being awake for lots of it. Now think it's just LO engaging :( and no where near labour. But have midwife appt lunchtime so hopefully can find out more. And maybe have a sweep if worth it. Still feel like cold coming but not here yet - so annoying thinking everything could be a sign!!

Good luck all, hoping there's good news today and the other thread gets busy!!

sebs71 · 06/09/2011 08:19

Meant DSD not DSS!!

sebs71 · 06/09/2011 08:20

And pressure not press!!

On phone!!

sebs71 · 06/09/2011 08:24

TP - missed your post. Sounds like we had similar nights :(

Hope those fitters do the job swiftly and you get some rest :)

tiddleypompom · 06/09/2011 08:34

sebs your description of symptoms yesterday eve sound very similar to mine - and I concluded that it was just the next step in engagement too. Oh well, all important for the final hurdle! Do let us know how things go with your midwife, and whether she agrees to a sweep (remind me your EDD)?

Had breakfast now but still a bit heart-racy and generally Not Right. Think I'm in for a lazy day - which is good considering we have what sounds like a hurricane blowing horizontal rain outside...

Just lurked on post-baby thread - so glad we planted savoy cabbages at the allotment this year!! Lovely to hear stories from the other side anyway, although boy does it sound tough!

sebs71 · 06/09/2011 08:57

TP - my edd was yesterday!!! So feel behind schedule :( but hoping midwife has better news for me! Your's is towards end of month isn't it?? Yes I'm aiming for quiet day as still don't feel brill either ... Well except trip to midwife midday.

BumpyHeffalumpy · 06/09/2011 08:59

So excited for Feralgirl hope it's going well and we'll have another LO by the end of the day.

The MW at the hospital was saying that babies are like buses, you get none for ages and then they all suddenly come at once. Perhaps there'll be some action from a few others today?

ssmile sounds like you've had a difficult night. I haven't been able to get more than 2 hrs at a time so far and even that is a luxury. DH goes back to work next week and I'm getting lots of food prepared for the freezer. Don't know what I'm going to do without him. Hope it's all going to be ok.

Good luck everyone, sending you positive birth vibes!

xx

feralgirl · 06/09/2011 09:05

Hi everybody, thanks for your messages but...I'm still here! I had a reasonable night's kip and haven't really got any more signs of labour other than feeling a bit crampy.

Tried to call the MW this morning but the on-call team couldn't get hold of anyone Shock and said to wait until the shift changes at 9am.

So the pool is inflated and got some cold water in, just needs to be mixed with some hot. The hot water is on. The kettle is full. There is cake and champagne in the fridge. My parents have just been to collect DS. DH and I have had two arguments about him not remembering Important Stuff (I got so annoyed with him at midnight last night that I went for a walk around the village by myself!)

Sewmuch, good luck with the induction this morning and Conker, I hope you're feeling better now?

Watch this space for more news...!

Louplet · 06/09/2011 09:13

Sounds like lots is happening Smile

DS1 off to first day at school ok this morning and today is my EDD so not too long to go here either I suspect. DS1 was 37+1 and DS2 40+3

Good luck ladies!

100years · 06/09/2011 09:46

TP, maybe just rest on the settee while you the carpet fitters are there, I'm sure they would wake you if they needed anything :) Can we come and collect a Savoy cabbage from you on the way home from hospital please?? Wink

Thanks Sebs :) Let's hope your DSD's intuition is right for you.

Bumpy, I'm sure you will be fine when you are on your own, it's a week away yet, so you have a while to get things sorted and worked out before he goes back to work - I know time goes so fast, but a week will make a huge difference.

feral, we are watching :) Oooh you will have rung them and sorted it by now :)

Louplet, hope you're not too :( about DS1 going to school.

I actually slept really well last night, for the first time in ages I didn't have that stupid lying awake thing from 4-6 or 5-7 which was lovely :) I did wake at just after 7 and thought I had had enough sleep, so an early morning, but a good night's sleep - aside from the numerous loo trips.

It's just a case of waiting for the MW to come out now and see what she says. I think I will be quite disappointed if I'm still at 1.5cm as I was last week, but I can't do anything about it if I am, just know I have a longer wait!

I have put a pic on my profile of the blanket I have made for the LO, which I managed to finish last night :) Just need a baby to model it on. The two sides are the same length, it's just an odd camera angle, and the colours are not quite as dark as that, but I think you get the idea.

Morning ladies. Feral - so excited for you - good luck. Ssmile - I remember those nights - wishing you a restful day and bumpy too. Good luck to sewmuch as well for today - fingers crossed.
Eight days left for me before csection. Ds1 back at school todayGrin dd1 starts back tomorrowGrin and big telco shop arrives tonight spam ready now!
Off to meet the health visitor for my red book now and then a few chores with my gorgeous dd then school pick up. Now that the app is fixed on eye phone 4 will be checking in to see how you are all doing. Good luck to all Wink

100years · 06/09/2011 10:10

Yes it's nice now we can use the app on the iPhone, and I can tell you have posted that off your iPhone as mine does the exact same autocorrect for tesco!!! :) Mind you so does the macbook!

tiddleypompom · 06/09/2011 10:45

Love the blanket 100years - you are clever!

Happy Due Date louplet - hope it all starts happening very soon for you :)

Carpet man is here and I have retreated (with cats) to sofa. He has a cup of (exceedingly sweet) tea, so figure I've done my duty :o If DH was here he would hover to check everything was going to plan, but I am not going to do that. he is banging and crashing and I am not up for the noise!

Right - off to find mumsnet app for i-phone for BF/mumsnet surfing days to come!

lalambev · 06/09/2011 11:46

Morning Ladies, just thought i'd check in Smile

Yey for feralgirl - Hope everything goes ok for you.

Bumpy - hope your right about the babies and buses theory.

Well i'm now two days past EDD, nothing happening here at all!! Tried curry and DTDing on Sunday, maybe try DTD again tonight Grin booked in for sweep next Monday, hoping I dont have to wait that long!
We both have our fingers crossed for the 8th Sept tho as both mine and DH's birthdays are the 8th and is our lucky number. Smile

Had about ten calls/ texts yesterday asking if LO has arrived yet!! I got so annoyed I changed my status on facebook to: NO nothing has happened yet! I have NOT had the baby and YES you will be informed when the baby arrives! LOL

Just about to go and pick up our shiny new pram from the shop, excited!!! Smile Smile

Will check back later for hopefully some happy news with Feralgirl.

Misty9 · 06/09/2011 11:51

Morning ladies

ooh, feralgirl sounds good! Look forward to hearing all about it soon :)

Nothing to report here. DH was convinced it would start last night, to the extent that he read up on labour Shock and ensured the camera etc were charged! Told him not to get his hopes up and, apart from some trapped wind pains in the night, nothing nada zilch.
Seeing mw tomorrow so I guess I'll go for a sweep if offered... These Sept babies are being very stubborn! Windy and rainy here but dragging DH out for a hot choc and some shopping in the Debenhams sale later Grin. Operation Distraction has commenced!

ssmile · 06/09/2011 12:38

Just had tidy round hse as HV called was coming at 1pm excellent i thought I'm washed hair, dressed &kitchen tidy. Just fed &changed babe I was ready......she just called and cancelled coming next wk instead after my DD1 first morn at school not great timing Hohum. I did just call ins company they said I'm fit to drive when medically fit but don't need written proof from Dr however if I crash they will check with? So where does that leave me! I think be fine next wk, I sure hope so as I have no help next thurs&fri for the school run and its too far with hill to walk post c-sec yet. Granny goes home next wk will really miss them they been godsend last few weeks staying locally.

Conkertree · 06/09/2011 12:42

Misty - spot on with the stubborn babies. Wonder if there has been another month with only two( is that right?) babies born by the 6th? On my last one, there were about 6 born before the month even started. Ah well, guess they are being well cooked anyway.

Going to look out the baby clothes today, and start washing some.

Hot cHocolate sounds great in this sort of weather. Shame I've eaten all the marshmallows.

ssmile · 06/09/2011 12:42

bumpy I was terrified with DD1 how was I too cope when DH went back to work after 2wks off, but when the time came I was ready and enjoyed time alone with babe getting into my own routine of morn walks and checking out buggy walking group organised by the HV. Sure u will be fine when the time comes. He had another wk off when babe was 6wks old and we really enjoyed that were bit made went camping in our campervan! But tghats another story :o

Conkertree · 06/09/2011 12:54

Oh and 100years - yes the bump cast worked well, although I dont think dh wanted me to lie down in the middle of it - didnt get much sympathy for fainting - when he has a project to do, nothing comes in the way Grin.

Now we have two, as I think we can repair the other one, so we are each going to decorate one and then see what we do with them. I want to get a picture with the new born baby lying in the cast - seen a few online, and they look very cool.

100years · 06/09/2011 13:03

Quick post off phone. Mw not yet turned up. I'm having a miserable hour feeling fed up just now. I'll be fine later. Bit for now I'm fed up and tearful. Hurry up baby
