Now I know the threads we were in weren't finished, but there were 3 threads for the September due dates, and I thought it would be nice to get everyone together and share their experiences.

Stats thread is here If you aren't on there, then get adding yourself.

Hopefully we can all get through the last stint together :)

I'm due 1st Sept, so one month to go, if the LO is punctual.

Hi. Still here

MW came at 10.30 and did stretch and sweep; I'm only 3cm dilated Sad

We've been out for coffee, been to the library and been out for a big lunch and done some shopping and I'm now quite crampy so about to get into the bath.

Had fun freaking out our friend the butcher who asked if DH had the day off and then, when DH told him that my water's had broken, he actually did this exact face Shock.

I feel very guilty for having palmed DS off on my parents so early and DH and I just feel like dreadful skivers!

Am liking all the shopping and collection of prams; sometimes I think that's the best bit about babies!

sebs71 · 06/09/2011 14:28

Feral... sure it's all going to happen today for you. Signs are there, and if 3 cm and had a sweep I'm sure that'll get things going... keep that water hot!!

100years hope you feel better after Midwife has been. Know how you feel though :(

Had my midwife appointment - it was a pretty normal one - although as she noted my last normal one! BP ok, took blood to test iron levels and measured me - at 41.5cm so biggish, but I'm short, so that's been the story for the last few weeks.

LO is finally engaged!!! Yay! Grin Last time, she wasn't at all, so pleased at that :) Didn't have a sweep this time, but got one booked for Friday (midwife coming to me, which I was really pleased at) and then poss. MOnday and Wednesday... and then induction Thursday... if nothing happens in the meantime!

Feeling better today, but less symptoms... but feeling really tired - almost like I was in the first trimester.

Come on herd (using TP's term here!) let's get some more babies out, and onto that next thread... !!!

cakeismysaviour · 06/09/2011 14:31

Hi, sorry for being missing in action for the last week. I have checked the thread briefly a couple of times, but haven't had time to keep up with it all! Just wanted to let you all know that I went into labour during the night and baby George was born rather more quickly than we were expecting at 5am this morning (7lb 3oz), we are all very happy and very exhausted!

I believe congratulations are in order for Bumpy! Hope you are all well

Annie456 · 06/09/2011 14:57

Congratulations cake!
George is my bday twin!! I'm having a really lovely bday so far and DH is doing a wonderful job distracting me from being T+9. have accepted that it's likely to be a Friday induction for me but strongly clinging to the fact that cervix is favourable and my mum had 3 super fast labours...that said, I may have myself a birthday vindaloo this evening Wink

sebs71 · 06/09/2011 14:57

YAY!!! Congratulations cakeismysaviour That's just the news we need!!! Hope you are ok, enjoy cuddles with baby George and get some sleep soon!! Grin

tiddleypompom · 06/09/2011 15:02

Yay another baby! Congratulations cake! That sounds like a pretty efficient labour (we need some more of those kicking in on this thread!) and so glad that all is happy and well. Enjoy your baby George and see you on the other side :o

p.s. see others, we can do babies on this thread - another repeat-type labour and delivery tonight please, and meantime chins up and raspberry leaf tea down...

tiddleypompom · 06/09/2011 15:04

oh and Happy Birthday annie! Enjoy your birthday vindaloo! Bet you have your baby before Friday ...

sebs71 · 06/09/2011 15:21

Happy birthday Annie... let's hope you get a bundle of joy before Friday as the bestest present ever!!! Grin

100years · 06/09/2011 15:29

Thanks TP, enjoyed making it. If I knew I had more time I would order wool and make another one, but I have other wool and can make different things. Going to have a bit of a blow out on wool when LO gets here and I have time, I will make lots of nice things :)

lalambev, we've DTD 3 times since sweep last wed, I'm still with child as they say, I think for some people it works, others not so much! Enjoy the pram picking up :)

Yep stubborn as anything Misty.

Oh bugger ssmile, that's a pain in the arse!

Conker, boo to no sympathy, it's not like you had a choice in the matter! The sound of newborn lying in the cast sounds really cool, suppose it gives you an idea of space etc!

feral, hopefully things will move alone soon for you. But don't feel like skivers, you are preparing yourself for the new one.

Thanks sebs, I do feel better now, I'll explain all in a min. Glad you have an engaged baby. :)

Congratulations Cake, that's great news :)

Annie, happy birthday, hopefully it won't come to induction on friday for you.

After bursting into tears for nearly an hour the MW arrived and I blubbed at her a bit about being irrational and thought she had forgotten me or was too busy and wouldn't be coming etc etc even though I knew she would have let me know! Bless, she gave me a hug, did my checks, all fine. Then felt baby, am now down as 1/5 engaged (it's odd, it's like 1/5 palpable and 4/5 in pelvis, but written as 1/5 engaged!), which basically means practically fully engaged :) Well I knew she was lying low! Then she examined me, and did some head tickling. Am 2-3 cm, possibly 3cm dilated :) She really went for it and again I just lay there and had no worries about it, nice and calm and relaxed, yes it's not comfy, but I've had worse things happen to me :) Had a bit of a show when she did it and some blood upon wiping afterwards. Lets keep those fingers crossed it's all going to be good and work it's magic.

The funny thing was just before she was about to do the heartbeat my phone rang and it was the fridge company, "can we come now?" oooh, so they arrived halfway through my being examined! OH let them in. So the fridge is now fitted and we have to let it settle for a while before we can turn it on, but hoo-bloody-rah :) FINALLY

Hope everyone is well x

cake Congratulations!
Happy Birthday annie
100 fingers crossed that the sweep has done its job and it all starts for you very soon! And yay for the fridge arriving!
Soon it will be just me and tiddley waiting and counting down the days, hours, minutes etc lol
No news for me but did manage to scare the OH last night by tripping over a stone (dont ask me how) and having to grab hold of him to stop myself falling arse over tit!

tiddleypompom · 06/09/2011 17:09

Don't worry about us two, off you go and have your babies!

(but beware I may get ratty if you mention wine on this thread post-birth) ;)

p.s. 100years [shock} at your fridge delivery half way through examination!! Glad things are on their way :)

Jojo1983 · 06/09/2011 17:37

Tiddley can i have a biscuit too??
Nearly cried the other day when mum showed me my collection of full bottles of vodka she has hidden away so no one else could drink it but me once baby is here! (now i sound like a piss head!)

Misty9 · 06/09/2011 17:46

Congrats cake - at least we know some Sept babies are making appearances.

jojo - our alcohol stash has been growing since Xmas with my birthday, our wedding and xmas all since we discovered I was pregnant and couldn't drink! I've even banned DH from drinking the (very tasty) sloe gin we made last year as I want to ensure there's some left when I can have it again :)

Happy birthday annie and glad you're having a lovely day :) there's still time before Friday too.

100years got my fingers crossed that the sweep will have the desired effect - sounds like the signs are there :)

Managed to pass the day quite quickly with a lie-in, trip to town and time spent with DH working out how all our cloth nappies work Grin
Got midwife tomorow then planning lunch out and cinema with DH - lucky to have him working from home. Sod's law poppyseed will show up tonight now...I can hope!

feralgirl · 06/09/2011 17:49

Jojo, I have a full stash of wine, champagne and an array of flavoured vodkas that I made at Christmas and then couldn't drink that are just waiting for me. Since I'm planning to BF, I'm not sure when I'm going to get to them though (although the champagne won't last long once this child FINALLY makes an appearance!)

Well done Cake, now I am well and truly Envy since at 11.30 last night I was sure this would all be over by now and here I still am.

I've sent DH over to my mum's to go and see DS and now I am here just being massively pissed off and bored. The weather is shocking otherwise I would go for a walk to try and get things moving. Maybe I'll go and have a bounce on DS's trampoline.

Happy birthday Annie, I was really hoping that you'd have another birthday twin courtesy of me today but now I'm not so sure Sad

Conkertree · 06/09/2011 17:57

Congratulations cake. Great news.

Must be very frustrating feralgirl - but surely since you are 3cm dilated, it cant be much longer. Surely. Maybe dh will need to help out a bit?

Tiddley and jojo - I'll join you for a cuppa if thats ok? I am simply in denial that I will still be here at the end of the month, but it is highly unlikely that this one will appear any time soon. Not due till 18th and went 6days and 9 days over with the other two, so absolutely no reason that this one would come sooner other than wishful thinking!

feralgirl · 06/09/2011 18:05

Well Conker, he gave me the first massage of this pregnancy earlier. I'm not sure I'm going to be able to convince him to DTD as I'm still a bit leaky iyswim!

jimmijam · 06/09/2011 19:40

Congratulations cake! Well done!!

tiddleypompom · 06/09/2011 19:57

Pull up a chair conker!

feral fingers crossed tonight is the night! We'll be cheering you on from the sidelines and I'm sure it'll be our turn to be Envy soon!

sebs71 · 06/09/2011 20:27

100years Yay, that's great about midwife visit AND the fridge/freezer!!

feral fingers are well and truly crossed something happens for you!

To TP, Conker and JoJo... enjoy the tea and biscuits... despite due date being yesterday, feel I'll be joining you, well, until middle Sept anyway...

Come on people... push!!!

Have a good night everyone... and here's hoping more baby news tomorrow!!

100years · 06/09/2011 21:51

Been food shopping :) so we now have a full fridge and freezer, most of the freezer stuff is what we had already that we collected from 'SIL' had a few uncomfy moments in the supermarket not sure if they were contractions or not. Feel a tad sick just now Confused but that could be nothing. OH asked if I was ok as I looked quite pale, this was immediately after a 'pain'

Some lady was asking me how long I had left, lol told her I'm overdue, she was nice and wished me luck.

Early night I think, you know, just in case I get no sleep! GrinGrin

Wishful thinking emoticon!

Congratulations Cake!

Happy Birthday Annie!

100 years - Great news re: fridge freezer. Was a bit emotional with DS1 waving him off to school this morning. He looks so grown up in his school uniform. Felt very proud of my big boy. Not so much sad though. Mainly relieved it all went so smoothly Smile.

Clearly I am not going to be one of the 5% to deliver on my EDD
