Now I know the threads we were in weren't finished, but there were 3 threads for the September due dates, and I thought it would be nice to get everyone together and share their experiences.

Stats thread is here If you aren't on there, then get adding yourself.

Hopefully we can all get through the last stint together :)

I'm due 1st Sept, so one month to go, if the LO is punctual.

I think I have 5 mins before I need to feed again, but I have put a pic up on my profile of little Edith.

Loving it more than I can say.

Episiotomy and piles issues, but feeding really well and no nipple issues :)

Learning her I need food signals, and had 3 sleeps myself last night :)

Very very happy.

Just booked in for a reflexology session next week! Inspired by this thread though completely forgot who had the session last week? Doh, memory like a sieve.

Just popped on to see if any announcements as yet, but seems I am a bit eager beaver. Still, how lovely to hear 100years happy mummy message - and what a scrummy little girl :)

minky I was beeped by an impatient driver wanting to park on the pavement I was walking on yesterday. Double yellow lines too - silly mare was given A Look. That'll teach her :o

jimmijam · 14/09/2011 13:50

tp i had a reflexology session just over a week ago, looking back i had a show and went into early labour 5 days later so i doubt it had an effect for me personaly. but i could feel lots of strong bh whilst she was doing it and it was very relaxing (almost fell asleep!)

jimmijam · 14/09/2011 13:59

finally to update..
i had a big show wed eve and started having what i thought were strong irregular bh-but they must have been the real deal and early labour.
saturday morning i had strong pains around my old cs scar, then got some bleeding down below. so we headed to hospital 2 check cs scar wasnt splitting. turns out it wasnt and i was 4cm. as we live so far away from the hospital the lovely dr broke my waters 4 me there and then just after 4pm, went straight 2 6cm. there was meconium in fluid so i had a monitor attached to his head for reat of labour-all was well :-) the fluid went EVERYWHERE- when having epidural put in so much fluid came out it leaked all over the floor, dh thought id wet myself and was lovely, then he saw it was AF.
had epidural, which only worked on my right side, then fell out of my back. had gas and air, the mw offered me some aromatherapy but tbh i didnt even notice it. then she gave me some diamorphene near the end.
8.12pm baby boy was born (and had no name until end of sunday) weighing 8lb 11oz. he needed help to breath after being delivered to my tummy and dh cutting the cord, luckily started breathing much quicker than ds1, who also had trouble at birth.
he's doing really well now, an angel.
the midwives at birth were amazing (i had a bad expewrience with last birth, but at a different hospital)! cant praise them enough!
i keep getting backache, dead leg from the injection that sped up placenta delivery, and my boobs r HUGE nad tender and hot-will speak to mw 2moro wen she comes around- poor little man struggles fitting boob into his tiny mouth! i currently have cold cabbage leaves stuffed down my bra!

Minkyjj · 14/09/2011 17:27

Just a quickie - baby boy - Samuel Ethan (sam) was born by elcs at 8.47am this morning. Just under seven pounds at 39 weeks. Masses of hair and absolutely gorgeous. Doing really well so far. Only cried once in the theatre when weighed and content since. Taken to breast like a dream. So far so good. dd and ds1 adore him already. good luck ladies and will look forward to hearing your news

Alicebw · 14/09/2011 18:09

Congratulations on the new arrivals. I'm due 26th September and getting really nervous. Woke up yesterday morning and boyf asked if I fancied going away for a couple of nights. What a lovely idea. Possibly mad, but we've done it and have come down to Porlock. So beautiful, just hope baby doesn't arrive whilst here. Is really nice for the two of us to get away before baby, even if I am huge. We've been really busy for months trying to get his PhD finished before baby so it's a real treat for us. Have to go home for a midwife appointment tomorrow afternoon, but it's been worth it. Having blood pressure monitored every couple of days. It's not pre-eclampsia as no protein in urine, but has been high for a while and was in hospital last week for a few days. Fingers crossed it's gone down a bit. Good luck everyone x

Misty9 · 14/09/2011 18:34

Finally have a few minutes to come on here... May remember my waters broke on Thursday evening last week and when labour didn't start out went the water homebirth plans and into hospital for induction by synto drip on Saturday morning.

Gave birth to baby James Frederick, 9lbs, at 6.29pm on Saturday after a very quick 2.5hr labour - and an eye watering 2.5hr pushing stage Shock. Used TENS in early stages but no other pain relief as I was too scared of the gas and air making me sick! Had to stay in hospital for two days as he wouldn't feed but now a boobie monster Grin and we're totally in love - as well as sleep deprived and living in chaos :)

Congrats to all the other new arrivals! Sebs cheering you on and hoping this is it finally for you :)
Ooh, he's waking up...better go :)

tiddleypompom · 14/09/2011 18:47

Congratulations to minky, misty and jimmy on the birth of your baby boys! Such happy news, you have had me in tears! Sorry home birth didn't happen in the end but good to hear that care was positive and that all babies are now feeding well and giving you so much joy :)

Alice enjoy your trip away, what a lovely idea to spend some proper time together before it all happens for you too!

On phone so hopeless for a proper message but hello to all whether still on the bus or with new born in arms - these are magical days and it's a privilege to share them with you.

Jojo1983 · 14/09/2011 19:24

Many congratulations to misty, jimmi and minky! So great to hear of all these lovely babies being born!

Tiddley im still on the bus....... will put the kettle on for us again shall I lol

Conkertree · 14/09/2011 19:44

Congratulations to minkyjj and misty - and great to hear your story jimmi.

Love how happy you are 100years - gives us still on the bus lots to look forward to.

I'm definitely up for another cuppa. Think I will settle in for the long haul now, and just accept that nothing is going to happen any time soon.

Still lots of skirting boards and bathroom floors to be scrubbed. So glad it stopped raining today so could get some washing dried.

jimmijam · 14/09/2011 20:06

alice we live nr porlock! @ least if u do go into early labour the midwives @ musgrove hospitsl really r amazing :-) enjoy ur stay!
Congratulations 2 all the new mumys! :-)

Louplet · 14/09/2011 21:32

Congratulations Minkyjj and Misty!

100years - little Edith is gorgeous.

TP - enjoy the reflexology. I had some on Sunday. No effect sadly unlike with DS2 but still v relaxing and am planning some more in the next day or so.

Had sweep today and booked in for induction on Monday if no action by then as hospital doesn't want me to go over 42 weeks. Still hoping things will get going on their own though so I can use the lovely new birth centre. MW has suggested lots of walking up and down stairs, spicy food and sex Grin

tiddleypompom · 14/09/2011 22:07

Cuppa would be grand! :o

Conkertree · 15/09/2011 05:16

Anyone up? Had a fair bit of lower back pain/waves of painful BH, so have gotten up as cant get comfy in bed.

Good excuse to have a Cadburys Caramel on the sofa, and watch trashy films.

Also might make me focus on what still needs to be done before the baby arrives, altough given all the false starts and long long early labours, I am not in the least getting my hopes up that things are kicking off.

jimmijam · 15/09/2011 05:37

Conker. I had that 4 2days b4 tgis 1 was born & didnt think it was labour, so fulingers crossed its ur time! Best of luck :-0:

loomer · 15/09/2011 09:26

Yay! More babies to toast - huge congratulations to Minky and Misty, hope that you are both enjoying lots of cuddles at home now. And thanks to Jimmijam and Sewmuch for giving us the details on your births... I can't begin to imagine that hour waiting to hear a cry from your tiny girl Sewmuch, it must have been like hell for you, but glad that she's sorted now, what a huge relief!

Glad that you are all blissed out with motherhood 100years, it's pretty amazing huh?!

Hoping that CBear had a successful ECV, and maybe some labour action too, given her lack of posts?

I saw midwife yesterday at 39+5 and she said that baby has dropped since last week, now 2-3/5 engaged, so heading in the right direction. She said that she could offer me a sweep, but we agreed that since everything is progressing normally I'd wait and see if anything happens over the weekend, and if not go in for a sweep next weds, when I'll be five days past EDD. So lots of bouncing on my ball last night, I could feel the baby wriggling around right down in my bottom (such a strange sensation), and a rubbish night's sleep as my hips/pelvis are very achey, so waking up to turn over and re-arrange pillows every hour. Going to have a very lazy day today I think, will dig out some old films and get cozy on the sofa for some nappage Grin.

Hope that those BHs are getting nice and strong for you Conker - could be the start of something, maybe skip scrubbing the skirting boards today?!

MrsSawyer · 15/09/2011 12:24

Congratulations MrsSawyer......wow, 9lb 3oz! x

Conkertree · 15/09/2011 16:07

new thread here. Not the most inventive title, but inspiration just didnt strike.

feralgirl · 15/09/2011 21:42

Ooh, well done MrsS, awesome name too Grin

CBear6 · 15/09/2011 21:55

Not sure if this will send because the 3G reception here is rubbish but Amelia Joan was born by semi-elective/semi-emergency caesarean yesterday at 11:26am weighing a relatively svelte 7lb 10oz (this was after them estimating 5kg on Monday and then 8lb 11oz using scan measurements prior to the section).

Hoping to get home tomorrow so I'll post the full story then, congratulations to all of the new arrivals, I can't wait to catch up with the thread :)
