Now I know the threads we were in weren't finished, but there were 3 threads for the September due dates, and I thought it would be nice to get everyone together and share their experiences.

Stats thread is here If you aren't on there, then get adding yourself.

Hopefully we can all get through the last stint together :)

I'm due 1st Sept, so one month to go, if the LO is punctual.

What lovely people cake! I expect you'll remember this day when you look back in the future - very special times.
Thanks for fx 100years I will log on tomorrow eve and report back. Might even take a sneaky peek at the ward to see if the rumours of overcrowding are really true!
Have the new thread on watch - poor ssmile needs some company! As well as some sleep, which I wish for her very soon :)
Time for bed (gracious, what a crazy life I lead!) - sweet dreams all (talking of which, good grief my dreams are vivid these days)!

BumpyHeffalumpy · 30/08/2011 00:35

Looks like I've just started to loose the mucus plug too. Also getting lower back pain and feel like I really want a poo. EXciting!

100years · 30/08/2011 05:25

Yeah feral I do get annoyed with people who can see you are pg and still think it's ok to walk at you or deliberately in front of you causing you to stop.

Cake that's so lovely. How fabulous. :)

Waits to hear from Tp as to whether LO can come out yet

Oooh bumpy wow. Exciting stuff. Hope you're ok there.

Another wakeful night. Think it was a hunger thing. Lay in bed for an hour before giving up and getting up. Fed the belly. Shortly to put on a DVD and rest on the settee hopefully with my eyes closed and me making a snoring noise :)

Conkertree · 30/08/2011 07:17

Another rubbish night here, between ds1 having a cough and us training him off sedatives, dh not being able to sleep after a chinese last night, and me, well being 37 weeks pg frankly, so me and the boys are now watching Enchanted on the sofa.

Some nights you just have to write off I think.

Cake -thats really lovely about the couple downstairs. I bet you will love using it.

Feral - i sometimes foret about the baby too -at least till I start walking.

Amby nest arrived last night, so just a new mattress to purchase, and some washing of the nest, pram linings, car seat etc etc to do. Two more kilts to make and then I think I can start maternity leave properly.

jimmijam · 30/08/2011 07:27

Exciting bumpy :-)

Milliebow · 30/08/2011 11:53

Sounds like some action is about to start. Nice to hear everyone getting out and about despite the bh rain.

Congratulations smile!

I'm full of a cold which has set off my asthma so currently hoping that LO dosen't put in an appearance just yet! Confined to sofa at mo.

Wonder who will pop next?

sebs71 · 30/08/2011 11:59

TP - yes, it is a lovely area to live in (rural north Wales!!). Had to go some way to see the beach though, which we kept thinking... right, where's nearest hospital???? But, surrounded by hills so very nice. Although, a pram is going to be pretty pointless here!! It'll be baby carrier for walks!! :)

Good luck with your scan this afternoon - hope LO is in a good position! Give LO a wave from your MN friends!! Wink

Ssmile - Poppy is a lovely name. Sorry you're on the thread on your own for the moment, hoping a few of us will join you soon. Looks like Bumpy might be soon - how exciting... hope you ok Bumpy!

Cake - how lovely your neighbours are! :) That's so lovely and thoughtful - I got excited/weepy when a student of mine (my students are adults by the way) knitted two little cardies for the LO, one with little ducks as buttons! And, sounds like you had a lovely day too...

100years hope you DIDN'T manage to see the DVD and fell sound asleep on the sofa, snoring loudly??? :) If not, hope you manage to get some rest in the day. Also, hope fridge/freezer makes appearance today too... !!

OK, so I've officially gone from enjoying the rest, peace and quiet time, to now wanting things to happen!! Have had a really "uncomfy" weekend, starting to think things might happen, but that's just generally in the evenings when things feel worse. By the morning, I'm feeling like there are no signs of anything... Haven't had a show or anything - but still getting long lasting BHs... DP didn't want to go back to work today after long weekend, and was really hoping I'd go into labour!! But, LO obviously not ready just yet.

And, what's with the weather??? We actually lit a fire last night, it was freezing. Just about managed to put some socks on this morning!!! That was a feat (Grin no pun intended!!) and a half!!!

OK, so thinking Bumpy may be next?? Then Jimmijam??? Then 100years????

sebs71 · 30/08/2011 12:01

Milliebow - hope you feel better soon then. Stick to the sofa rest...

And, welcome Annie!!

jimmijam · 30/08/2011 12:36

Ooh liking ur predictions sebs!
Cant wait 2 hear if bumpy has joined ssmile!!!!
Id 'predicted' baby would come on 30th, looking like i was completely wrong :-( wanted 2 try sex again last night and this morning but dh sed he was too tired and wasnt having it :-(
heres 2 2moros reflexology, grt baby out b4 dh's 2 weeks off work start on thurs!!!

sebs71 · 30/08/2011 12:46

Too tired? Isn't that supposed to be your excuse?!? :) Maybe tonight then? (I wonder if the "sex brings on labour" idea was started by a bloke? My DP certainly liking this method to try and move things along a bit quicker!!)

I've heard that sex plus reflexology (obviously not at the same time, although that could be interesting???) has worked for a few, so raising a glass (of orange juice... so I can have my iron tablet...!!) to this for you JJ!! Don't forget the curry!!

100years · 30/08/2011 13:19

feral, sorry you have had negative responses to your name choice, this is part of the reason we aren't saying anything about ours. I also get the in certain positions I don't feel like I've got the mother of all bumps on my stomach! Then I move.

Conker, yeah late pregnancy insomnia is not fun.

Sebs, liking your prediction re births, lets keep fingers crossed. I ended up going back to bed at 6 and sleeping till just after 9 :) Phew. Loads of people have commented on the change in weather, I'm still not quite at the wanting the hearing on stage yet, but I think OH is.

Jimmi, fingers crossed for the reflexology working.

TMI but my bowels have been a bit more regular than normal, I'm hoping that's my body getting ready!

Fridge freezer is NOT coming today and probably won't be here till Thursday!!! Due date! LOL, but the latest is that they have a loan fridge and will bring it this afternoon, I'm hoping that happens.

Hi everyone, Smile

Congrats to SSmile. Hoping to join you on your new thread soon.

Bumpy - How exciting!!! Grin

Feralgirl - Polly is one of our girl name choices, lovely name isn't it (would have been Poppy, by my niece is a Poppy)

Had quite an uncomfortable weekend, had nausea, indigestion and tiredness all day yeaterday, crap nights sleep, though woke up this morning feeling fine. Lots of Bh's goin on!
Bump constantly feels rock solid and so heavy!! Baby still managing to wriggle around tho!!

TMI - bowels bit more regular than normal and feel hungry constantly!!

Awaiting more exciting news!! Smile

100years · 30/08/2011 14:29

Oooh yeah lalambev I'm all for the food at the moment too. Getting energy levels up ready hey :)

OP posts:
ssmile · 30/08/2011 14:37

Cheering you all on from bed with Biscuit and Brew :)

just had 1hr nap as only slept 6-8am baby very unsettled night. Mumsnet on my phone been lovely company.

tiddleypompom · 30/08/2011 15:02

Just eaten Greggs apple turnover (with cream). Honestly, I promise I was never such a piglet before being pregnant!
bumpy has gone quiet - ooo, fingers crossed!
Right - off to the hospital - thanks for wave sebs :o

sebs71 · 30/08/2011 15:09

Ooh, ssmile, wish a few of us could you join you on the new thread! Glad you in bed with a biscuit and a brew though... :) Hope Poppy has a better night tonight and gives you a bit more of a sleep.

TMI - but I'm with 100years and lalambev on the extra bowel movements... didn't think it was a sign of getting ready, but yes, guess that makes sense. Though, still can't manage much in the way of food - small amounts only. I get so full so quickly now :(

We haven't told anyone (except DP's kids) about choice of first name either... everyone (except my Dad... have actually managed to keep the gender from him as he doesn't want to know!) knows I'm having a girl, so wanted to keep something a surprise, and you get soooooo many opinions that just want to announce it when there's no changing it! Everyone knows I'm going for Seren for the middle name though - it means "Star" in Welsh, and my mum was called Stella so it's the Welsh version and named after her. But, Feral, go with your instincts ... you'll never please everyone.

Bumpy - any news??

Misty9 · 30/08/2011 15:22

Afternoon all :)

bumpy - any news?? sorry if that's an annoying question! I've received the first of probably many phonecalls to see if anything is happening....from my parents. yes, I had him and didn't tell you... Wink Ah well, best get used to it! Due on Monday and have NO idea when he'll actually come. Been having fairly painful cramps on and off - DH's face was a picture when I was having them yesterday! Also been having more regular bowel movements....so who knows? Grin

As for names, we have one main contender and a possible other - we've also not told many people as it's nice to have something new to announce (other than the baby itself!).

Feeling pretty rough with heartburn today and yesterday - anyone else found this getting worse? I've run out of Rennies too.... Shock Sleeping is not too bad at the moment though and managing to either ignore the full bladder or at least get back to sleep fairly quickly after schlepping downstairs (oh for an upstairs loo). Been getting a bit stressed about our impending relocation and house move in Oct/Nov as need to decide whether to go for a house which won't take our pussycat...as antisocial as she is, she's still ours - possibility that FIL could take her...oh I don't know.

Anyway, rambling now Blush. hope all are having lovely relaxing days. Hope that fridge does turn up 100years - can't imagine having to do without one!
ssmile sounds like sleeping is just as elusive with a newborn? hope you got that nap and esp hope to join you on that thread soon...

100years · 30/08/2011 15:35

Ssmile glad you are still :) even through the lack of sleep.

TP, will wait to hear from you later :)

Sebs, love the name Seren and the fact it means star :)

Misty, I think we will all end up having lots of any news things, I've have had a few any news things, I've not got to the point of replying with yeah yeah weeks ago but I didn't want you to know!

We have the loan fridge :) Yay, but it looks like the actual real fridge freezer may not even be here on Thursday, never mind, we can do without the freezer part, at least we have a fridge now. :)

I really ought to go and do something, I've sat on my arse all day!

jimmijam · 30/08/2011 15:42

am thinking bumpy will be joining ssmile on new thread by end of today :-) weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee how exciting!!!! whilst also being slightly jealous.
misty glad to say ive never experienced heartburn, does not sound nice tho
have taken to not bothering to phone ppl unless i really need to, as soon as they see my name on the screen/hear my voice they assume its for an announcement!
when i picked the kids up from nursery earlier everyone was telling me to go 4 a brisk walk (at an almost 4 yr olds pace, mmm), a few days ago next door neightbour told me to go 4 a walk up the hill (a very huge hill with views for miles, and clear views over to wales when its not cloudy, but i wouldnt even attempt walking up whilst not pregnant!). dh said 2day when he gets home from work he wants 2 c me on the trampoline, may actually try that 1 , b gr8 fun 4 the kids 2 c me on there 2 (once ive cleaned all the leaves off)

jimmijam · 30/08/2011 15:44

heard one of the nursery workers gave birth to her 3rd boy last week. she'd been in labour at home for 1 1/2 hours, they called an ambulance out and she gave birth outside her house in back of ambulance!!!
then a few mins ago once of my college teachers gave birth to her 2nd on the bathroom floor!!!!!!-yet was induced with her 4th and gave birth within 20mins of being induced.
just shows u never know how its going to go!

Annie456 · 30/08/2011 16:04

Wow jimmijam thats scary!! A few of my NCT buddies have given birth within half an hour of arriving at hospital Confused which worries me as hospital is a 30 min drive with no traffic...I don't think I'd attempt to leave the house if contractions are super strong and it's rush hour! I'd take my chances on the bathroom floor and call an ambulance!!

Well I'm still here and 40+2. I think he's coming tomorrow or thursday but not sure why! I've had a few quite intense pains low down that last for a couple of mins. Nothing regular but its a new development for me so crossing my fingers! Smile

Anyone else due this week? X

jimmijam · 30/08/2011 16:27

Ooh sounds exciting annie!!
Im due sat.
After getting nowhere with mothercare i just phoned them up. I 1st contacted them over 3 weeks ago. Turns out they have no spare screws to send me so the nice man has ordered one to arrive thursday and sed just to get rid of the other 1! Finally its hopefuly sortrd, cant believe they didnt do this in the 1st place!!
Annie we're about a 45 min drive away on a good day, we too r praying its not a roadside delivery!!

sebs71 · 30/08/2011 16:47

100years - YAY for a fridge Grin Boo for not getting a fridge/freezer on Thursday though... Still, you might have other things on your mind on Thursday!! And... come on, being nearly 40 weeks, I think sitting on your arse is almost compulsory! (As you can see, I've been on my arse at the computer all afternoon - doing some family tree research - I've done mine, so doing DP's tree so LO has both sides done!!)

Annie - sounds like you might be soon then!! Exciting... think my predictions might now be... Bumpy... Annie... 100years... Jimmi... ???? Never was much of mystic meg!

Jimmi - Yikes, that's all quick. Our hospital is about 25 mins away, so hoping it's not quite as quick! I love all the "advice" people give to bring on labour - think walks are the funniest - I can manage about 10 paces without then having to stop and and hold onto bump whilst wincing with the "pressure"..! Hope MC finally sort everything out for you...

Conkertree · 30/08/2011 17:36

My friends second baby was born on the hard shoulder of the motorway. They live a fair way into the countryside, and it just came quicker than expected. Her dh delivered her, with a policeman there for the end, basically holding the phone to the medics. All worked out well though - think they had to replace the front seat though Grin.

Mum and dad are coming to look after our two dc whenever this one appears, and I think it is starting to play on their minds too, just the unknowing of when it will come. Dad sounded a bit harrassed on the phone today, trying to plan some things. Feel guilty, cause there was a lot of false starts with ds2, so trying not ti thi about it every time I get a few painful BH, but my friend and the motorway does pay on my mind a wee bit, and it woud be great to give them some warning. I guess when I actually get to 40 weeks, it would be best just to get them to come and stay.

Sorry waffling now.

The cream cake from Greggs sounds lovely, and I dont normally like them. Definitely hungry here too.

Good to hear you are getting some time in bed ssmile. Hope the biscuits are coming thick and fast.

Jojo1983 · 30/08/2011 17:45

Hey ladies quick message as on phone hope everyone is well waiting for news on new arrivals! One of my best mates has gone into "slow" labour today so am overly excited!
Lots of BH still and think baby is lying on a nerve as really bad pain in my leg!
