Hear! Hear! to 'spoilt' ESH babes. Long may it continue.

Thinking of you Owly, It will all come good.

kat2504 · 06/08/2011 12:29

Yeah I've been taking the aspirin since I discovered I was pregnant. It does make me feel like at least I am trying something. I'm having my second blood test on the 11th and will hopefully get results when I see consultant after my holidays on the 22nd.

MrBitey · 06/08/2011 12:53

owlie come and have a cuddle but touch my nips and I will kill you! Everything went off piste for my low intervention midwife led water birth but at the time I needed everything they threw at me and it didn't matter a jot. I think it must be worse for you because you are having to plan around it and know in advance if that makes any sense. The second that owlet lands on your chest you won't give a flying fuck about anything else. The FDH has just told me that my mother got in to the delivery room while I was being stitched (doesn't hurt BTW) and being a nurse had a good old gander and I didn't know a thing about it. Lot of love and good luck xxx Smile

What? I am hormonal wreck and will kiss whoever I want to! smooches all round in fact!

rocketleaf · 06/08/2011 14:36

Everything crossed for you kat sounds like you are being a DHB with the medical types too, good going!

ladyGG that is all! All this talk of No.2 and butterdishes is making me broody

Yo bitey sorry about the sore nips, I hear you, sista! Hope they toughen up soon.

rooting for you booty

owlbooty · 06/08/2011 14:40

Afternoon lovelies :)

Smooches are the way forwards and I promise no prodding of nips. Bites tis lovely to see you in here again :)

Kitty If I crossed any more things for you I would fall over - am so hoping this is it and you have the dullest 9 months of your life to date.

GG the snuggling with the babies sounds absolutely gorgeous :)

Have been up to the hossie today for trace and dopplering. Told them I was not weeing in any more frigging pots this week and that nobody was doing my BP either. Saw a luffly sensible doc who treated me like I was being a rational human being and not a risk-taking twat - hence am feeling a bit better today than I did yesterday, apols for the whining. Going to see needles lady in a bit; tis v.relaxing in a weird way.

It's so hard to imagine that point where the owlet has actually arrived and I get to hold him - cannot imagine what that will be like. Suspect you are all wise and correct and I will not give two rats' asses how he got out when the time comes.

Occers - Branstons feel like a weird sort of crampy spasm - I always get them if I lie on my back. The whole bump goes sort of tight and stiff then relaxes again. I started getting them at 20 weeks and they've got stronger as time has gone on - sometimes the baby moving sets them off.

Truffkin · 06/08/2011 21:00

Evening all, am glad to hear that you are feeling better about things Wol and that you spoke to a doctor who did not talk to you like you are an unhinged 5 year old

Kat sounds like you are also in the driving seat with your HCPs, am liking your style.

GeeGee you've painted a picture of loveliness right there, hope it continued for the rest of the day. I know you mentioned before that MiniG is being trying, hopefully he's getting used to his baby sister and settling downinto doting big brother mode!

Congrats MrsFCslashJannit I am simply delighted to know that the second time round need not bring the same terror joy as the first TTC experience. Hope you are feeling well and the news has now sunk in.

Ski my IO stuff has arrived and is nicely normal. You know, kind of like the clothes I would wear pre-bump and so I have enjoyed wearing it. I did however miss time things as it's been too hot really for jeans and the like. I'm particularly pleased with the charcoal straight leg jeans, which will be ideal for smart / casual nights out and dress down work days. If I'd paid £90+ for them I'd be a bit Hmm though. We've got a Jojo Maman Bebe in our 'village' and I picked up some dark denim shorts for a tenner today

We had a gorgeous day yesterday, with lunch at Le Gavroche for our anniversary. We had a voucher for Christmas from my BiL and SiL and were saving it for this very lunch. The whole thing came in on budget so it was ours for no pounds, most excellent. The bab gave me a mini-scare though when wallowing on the sofa, still stuffed at 11pm I realised I'd not felt movement for most of the day. Even a glass of ice cold pepsi didn't deliver the goods, but I went to bed and tried not to over think things. I woke up equally distressed this morning but after some coaxing from TGB s/he woke up and put on a great belly moving show, much to my relief. It was a good 10 minutes of battering away with my belly visibly moving and TGB did a bit of 'see, told you not to worry' as he is far more chilled than I about all things bab-related.

Have had a very nice lazy day today and plan for more of the same tomorrow. I am liking my new plan of mixing in weekends with no plans at all, in amongst the busy ones. It is definitely keeping me sane.

Ocarina · 07/08/2011 22:25

Well, the out of office is set for my email, the answerphone message is changed and I've cleared 2 years of junk from my work email inbox, so I guess that means I'm officially on maternity leave - eeeeek. Mind you, I'm so tired I don't think I could've functioned for anything work-related for any longer. It does make it all start to feel scarily real though.

Glad you've found a sensible doc Owlie. Here's hoping the next sooty does the job. Thanks for the description of Branstons - I think that might be what I'm getting but not really sure. My bump does the going tense thing, but not necessarily in a way that I'd notice if I wasn't paying attention. But I guess if I'm not noticing it's not a problem so I shouldn't worry either way.

Truffs your anniversary lunch sounds lush. Glad you're mixing in the lazy days too, and that the bab decided to behave in the end - I wish they'd realise how much worry they cause us and stop it. (Mind you, as I keep pointing out to people, given that this one is TH's child it's going to be awkward no matter what).

Medee · 07/08/2011 23:27

Mmm, le gavroche.

Happy maternity leave, occie!

kat2504 · 08/08/2011 08:04

Lurking around for owl news........ come on little owlet it's time to come out!

Enjoy your leave ocarina I'm sure it will be a nice feeling to put your feet up and enjoy the last couple of weeks of your pregnancy.

AlpinePony · 08/08/2011 08:08

My bump appeared overnight Saturday night. Hmm So yesterday I dug out my maternity clothes and typically the two items I wanted to find, I cannot. Grrrr. My IO stuff has still not arrived although they did say 8-10 days, which frankly I feel is poor - just about every other company I order from has a TNT/UPS van roll up within 48 hours for cheaper delivery too. Never mind, they will arrive soon! With Bear he had a very quiet Friday night once and Saturday morning we set off on a mission to buy a doppler, couldn't get one by this time I was frantic. Within 20 minutes of getting home he was wriggling again. And has not yet to date stopped.

Well done Ocarina! :)

How's it going owlie?

owlbooty · 08/08/2011 09:11

Hoorah for mat leave, Occers ! My feet instantly deflated the minute I stopped spending all day sat in a bloody office.

Nothing to report here. Have been having pretty much continuous branstons for the last 48 hours but nothing has come of it. Which is a PITA. At this rate Occers will get there before me. Damnit.

Pone that is indeed a bit shite; I have had a similar experience with Boots last week as I ordered iron sachets etc on Weds/Thurs and they will not arrive til tomorrow. I was not impressed, esp. as they charge for delivery and my Amazon free delivery stuff usually turns up quicker than that.

macaroonmum · 08/08/2011 12:55

owlie am sending you all kinds of speedy, lovely birth vibes m'dear. Thinking of you loads.

MrsFC/DJ congrats! Grin

alps why is it that mat clothes get 'lost'? I was sure i had several nice things from no1 but when i dug out the stuff there was random stuff so i had to go shopping (perhaps i did it on purpose and then forgot).

We are all doing well - am just about surviving with out-laws (2 more days Grin) but TIS had the cheek to go and get 'sick' yesterday with a mysterious, vague virus which had disappeared this morning. FFS. Men are such weaklings.
I am still trying to manage an online slot in the day... tis proving difficult with demanding 3-yr-old who refuses to synchronise sleeping with the newborn.

AlpinePony · 08/08/2011 13:13

roonie Well there is that possibility GrinBlush - I couldn't find my jeans - or maybe I binned them anyway for being threadbare between the thighs - so they were going to be replaced anyway, and the t-shirt I couldn't find was simply "the best of a bad bunch" rather than something really special. So much for re-using all my stuff - effing hate it all. :( Glad the outlaws are nearly gone - what a relief!

kat2504 · 08/08/2011 13:42

Wahey! I have held out from using the EvilBlue tests with Diffage Indicator up till now as they are, of course, an expensive waste of money. I used 2 a week last time for 3 weeks and it didn't change the outcome.

Today I caved in. I've got a 3+ already! admittedly it was a nice concentrated sample but still, it has made my boring little day a bit. Only a week ago I was squinting at almost invisible lines on a cheapie. I am officially a little bit more diffed.

macaroonmum · 08/08/2011 15:08

woop woop kat! nothing like getting the 3+ Grin

BrownB · 09/08/2011 00:51

Am I being unreasonable to want to take a bat to these hooded shitheads? Oh. Damn. On restricted duties. Stuck at home which is thankfully quiet right now.

kat2504 · 09/08/2011 06:44

YANBU They are a bunch of thugs who will no doubt claim they have some sort of pseudo-political agenda when really it is pure yobbery. So many innocent people will suffer as a result of this, their businesses, their homes. I just hope that nobody ends up dead as a result of this. It is appalling.

AlpinePony · 09/08/2011 08:00

brownie Ya(of course)NBU. :(

Tbh I'd have a little more sympathy if they were messing with "the city" - but to be destroying local businesses, burning local homes, etc. :( Dicks. I am very glad you're on restricted duties tbh.

kat Well done with your diffedness!

I have my NF scan this afternoon, hopefully will all go well as my scan the other week revealed nothing untoward, but this is part of the triple test so much more in depth.

MrBitey · 09/08/2011 12:03

Glad you are keeping safe brown was thinking of you in the wee small hours. Hello all, having a rather hard time as the Fdh has the fucking cyclic vommiting again so very very busy. Good news is that bitey Bach has exceeded his birth weight already and my nips are feeling better. Will try. And catch ip nowSmile

DammitJanit · 09/08/2011 12:11

Bloody brilliant news kat, bloody brilliant.

owlbooty · 09/08/2011 13:50

Good luck with the scannage this afternon, Alps

Large hurrah for the 3+ Kitty :)

Bites sounds like you're having a top day - pliz to accept this selection of buckets and flash wipes.

Medee · 09/08/2011 14:46

hurrah for being even more diffed, Kat.

BarbiesBeaver · 09/08/2011 16:27

Hope all is looking good Pone after the NF scan. How long will you have to wait for results?

Congrats MrsFC!

Yay for POAS behaving itself Kat. I was on heparin injections and low dose aspirin for the first 12 months after two Teflon womb incidents, the injections are a bastard. Hope your tests look ok.

20 week scan tomorrow. AM feeling decidedly weird about it all - but BeaverKit has been moving about plenty so that's reassuring.

Ocarina · 09/08/2011 16:42

First 12 months, Barbie? Shock Wink Hope the scan shows all is well - movement is definitely a good sign.

News here is good - we've been to the hospital and been scanned and the baby is head down and well engaged, so hopefully will stay that way.

Bitey cyclic vomiting sounds like the last thing you need in your house - hope he's over it soon and you and Biteybach steer well clear. But yay for putting on weight and happier nips.

laurielou · 09/08/2011 17:41

Shhhh, we have a sleeping BugBoy.........

Just keeping an eye on any laying updates.

Alps hope NF scan goes well. BB hope you have a good scan too.

Kat well done on the digital restrain, & YEY for 3+ weeks. Tis vay reassuring to see it again in flashing lights, non?

So, if anyone hears loud screaming tomorrow its because BugBoy is having his jabs Sad The screaming will prolly be me. I have Calpol & gin at the ready.
