In a moment bravery here is the anti-natal thread for all those continuing to Brook No Argument into pregnancy and beyond.

So raise your fists to the sky and sing loud for there is no turning back now! We shall all stand firm and prevail with joy in our hearts as all our pregnancies will be simply blooming perfect!

Hurrah! and more Hurrah! :o

meme - twins!? Wow! How do you feel about the idea? Maybe we are all expecting twins as a result of so much positivity...

Here - welcome to the thread! Hurrah for your ultra efficient rat smacking.

Welcome to Calypso and Late.

So tired... so tired... must I really go to work?

My mouth tastes of onions and my house smells of fish.

LoveInAColdChamberOfSecrets · 18/07/2011 14:46

Oh god, oh god, I am so, so tired. I literally don't know how to cope with it. I have a conference call in fifteen minutes and I really don't know how I'll manage. I just have to lie down and sleep. I feel really quite desperate at the prospect of having to remain upright.

HidingInTheUndergrowth · 18/07/2011 17:59

Gosh love , I never thought that number of sprogs could be related to amount of positivity. At least now I have an excuse for not being totally positive all the time as I'm not sure I could cope with triplets. :o

I found out that two more people at my work are pregnant. Now instead of simply being terribly jealous that they are pregnant I am terribly jealous that they are more pregnant then me. Damn it! I want to be twelve weeks! The first trimester is rubbish Angry

On the bright side I finally made my midwife appointment for 8 August when I will be over 8 weeks and well across my completely imaginary dateline of worry and I will be a calm and joyous picture of absolute positive pregnancy...so that's something to look forward to Hmm

LoveInAColdChamberOfSecrets · 19/07/2011 06:29

Ooooh, my dating scan date arrived - 1 September. Still tempted to pay for an eight week scan as well, though. How are you feeling today, Aubers?

Is anyone else just absolutely exhausted? Or am I a wuss? Yesterday I left work at four, slept between five and half past six, reluctantly got up to eat something, then was asleep again by half past eight. Is this normal!?

HidingInTheUndergrowth · 19/07/2011 11:43

Exciting stuff love!

I am feeling tired and sick and just want to curl into a ball and go to sleep today. I just keep repeating the 'It's probably a good sign' mantra.

Gosh, we are a miserable bunch! On the bright side at least we have aubers to remind us that we could feel worse. :o

Just popping in from the conception thread to see how you all are. There rumour of twins I hear? Blimey, our threads have magical powers indeed. We've a new motto of "Positive people get positive pee sticks" back in ttc, so with our boundless positivity we will all be here soon. Save me some non alcoholic wine!

LoveInAColdChamberOfSecrets · 19/07/2011 13:51

I know, the only thing keeping me going at work today is the knowledge that it could be worse. If I felt like this and wasn't pregnant I would definitely be off sick and at home in bed! When I was TTC I told myself that once I was pregnant I would never moan about feling awful as I would just be so pleased to be having a baby Grin. I am of course delighted by the baby aspect but appalled by the 24 hour nausea and utter, crushing tiredness...

HidingInTheUndergrowth · 19/07/2011 14:18

I know what you mean Love, I also promised that I wouldn't moan at all...not even a bit. To be fair I wouldn't moan anywhere else and certainly not on the ttc threads as I know how annoying pregnant moaning people are when you are not pregnant, but I figure that is why we have this thread. So let it all out! :o

I supposed to be going to a festival this weekend, it is only small and close enough to be able to take a taxi home if I can't cope but I am still somewhat dubious about the idea. Anyway, to combat the needing to wee all the time problem I decided to get myself a she-wee so that at least I could pop behind a tree in the middle of the night when I wake up rather then walking all the way to the loos 5 or six times a night. However, I have encountered a small problem. I seem to have some form of mental block about weeing standing up. I just can't do it, I stand there and nothing will come out! Confused

allhailtheaubergine · 19/07/2011 14:28

Lol at standing up performance anxiety.

It's tricky, isn't it. Honestly, I have never felt worse in my life, but it just doesn't seem right to moan about it. But the not-feeling-right does not in any way detract from my abject misery.

HidingInTheUndergrowth · 19/07/2011 16:55

I have the sudden urge to burst into song

..it must be catching :o

This whole pregnancy business is an exercise in insanity, isn't it? I spent all of yesterday in despair because I felt so dreadful and today have been angsting because I feel slightly better and worrying that means there is something dreadfully wrong. We can't win!

mememummy · 19/07/2011 21:21

I don't feel pregnant at all today :( not been sick once just had my 48 hr repeat bloods done hope everythings ok in there

LoveInAColdChamberOfSecrets · 20/07/2011 06:28

How do you feel today, meme? When will you get your results? Am sure everything is ok. Have you been being sick and now it's stopped, or just not being sick at all? Please try not to worry - impossible advice I know!

mememummy · 20/07/2011 08:34

Sickness has stopped I feel like I'm glowing bloods are bCk hcg is 10000 ish so more than doubled so everything is ok
Mantra.. I will enjoy this pregnancy I will enjoy this pregnancy lol

havealittlefaithbaby · 20/07/2011 13:26

Hello lovely upduffed ladies! . Glad to hear things are generally good (vomming and exhaustion aside). Meme that must be so scary exciting!
I had my hsg and fanny cam today, all normal, nothing to report so I've decided this is absolutely the month. See you in 3 weeks! :)

allhailtheaubergine · 20/07/2011 15:11

I. Need. To. Eat. Something.

In the last 4 days I have eaten

4 weetabix
1 bowl of rice crispies
Two spoons of lentils.
A cracker

And... I think that's it.

I am so fucking hungry. I tried 3 cashew nuts an hour ago and they came spewing up with all the water I had been so carefully and slowly sipping.

Hung. Ry.

havealittlefaithbaby · 20/07/2011 16:17

Have you tried ice lollies? sounds weird but we give it to chemo patients who can't keep anything down. Worth a try?

LoveInAColdChamberOfSecrets · 20/07/2011 17:29

Oh, you poor thing, Aubers. Could you try nibbling an oatcake as well as trying an ice lolly? It really does sound like it might be worth going to your doctor or at least calling them if you can't even keep water down, especially in such a hot country.

farfallarocks · 20/07/2011 17:58

Girls, we need you back on the Conception thread to boost moral a bit. Me are brooking absolutely no argument but we need a little positively from the been there done that crowd.
