Oh I would gladly be the nausea free, bucket holding, hair stroking token person but I had no nausea when I had my m/c and nausea quite a bit when pg with ds (although never sick). Could be completely irrelevant but then again.....

DenyEverything · 12/08/2011 10:55

I'm definitely worse this pg than last time and was convinced it was twins until I had the scan biscuits. Every pg is different but I understand your worry. Just hang in there until Weds when all will be well and you can then give us all lots of gaviscon and sympathy.

pomme stop with your talk of pork pies or I will be forced to buy one. Our new member of staff came to ask me a question and I realised I had Rich tea crumbs all over my top. at 9.30 in the morning. She is a size zero and clearly thinks I am some kind of compulsive eater [embarrassed]

Imps7 · 12/08/2011 13:24

I have just returned from my lunch break with a Waitrose pork pie in my hand and I hold YOU madam entirely responsible for this state of affairs.

pommedechocolat · 12/08/2011 13:50

Oo I had mine about half eleven. It was lovely. Am contemplating sneaking off to Tesco to get another Blush

I've done this before to mnetters - think that was with my nutella on shortbread biscuits obsession...

TooImmature2BDumbledore · 12/08/2011 14:01

Hi people!

I see the cravings have started to kick in. Yesterday it was red wine cravings, but I was strong and only had a teeny splash.

Biscuits, I'm not feeling sick all the time either. I felt really well yesterday, but am feeling slightly queasy again today, although having just driven for an hour and a half may have contributed to that. Mum kindly said that she was fine until about 3 or 4 months in and then started to barf for Scotland. Hmm Anyway, my point is that you shouldn't worry, because everything is going to be fine!

DenyEverything · 12/08/2011 14:04

Nutella on shortbread??? damn you pomme I will be diabetic in a couple of weeks thanks to you.

Biscuitsandtea · 12/08/2011 14:05

Thanks Too - glad you're feeling queasy (!) (Obviously in the nicest possible way!)

Did you get all your appointments and referrals sorted out in the end?

Don't feel bad about your McDonalds. For dinner tonight DH and I will be having pizza, loaded jackets and dips a nice light salad and some mineral water

Biscuitsandtea · 12/08/2011 14:07

Oh, here's a weird one on nausea. Generally not that nauseous (as I have previously blathered on about mentioned) however, I feel as if I might throw up if I yawn or cough - weird?

And where is my heartburn? Had terrible heartburn all the way through with DS. Can't honestly remember if I did with the m/c or not now. And I think I've convinced myself I had it from about 20 minutes before conception with DS but can't really remember when it started. I know it was early on though......

DenyEverything · 12/08/2011 14:24

my heartburn tends to coincide with nausea if you know what I mean, am sort of getting both together (hmm, pregnancy obviously making me more articulate than usual)

I just feel sicker the less I eat. I always thought the only advantage of nausea was that you didn't put on a shedload of weight in the first trimester. Not so it would seem if my list of grub today is anything to go by.

Biscuitsandtea · 12/08/2011 15:49

Too late for jinxing now Jen - we're here with comfy sofas and footstools just waiting for you to confirm.

When is it you're confirming your obvious pg again?

jenfraggle · 12/08/2011 15:54

Next week Biscuits

Biscuitsandtea · 12/08/2011 15:56

I'll have some freshly baked croissants ready for you :)

Hmm, now I'll have to have them every day JUST IN CASE we get positive pee stick endorsed pregnant people rushing in from next door.......

DenyEverything · 12/08/2011 16:07

Oh yes, there will be dozens of people rushing in due to finally getting the correct pee sticks and not the pesky ones that don't show both lines.

We're going to need some more glittery buckets...

DenyEverything · 12/08/2011 16:17

by the way, is anyone else going to get fish and chips on the way home? Nope? just me then...

pommedechocolat · 12/08/2011 16:17

We will have great up to date info on location and cost of private scan clinics and a HUGE stash of pork pies ready for them :)

Biscuitsandtea · 12/08/2011 16:46

We could make a little welcome pack for them as they come through the doors - a monogrammed glittery bucket and a leaflet of locally relevant information on scan centres, together with a lovely pork pie.

Deny - No fish and chips tonight (trust me I thought about it) but DH was moaning about putting on weight when he went to the gym this morning so didn't want to push my luck :). Instead we will be having pizza, loaded potato skins and dips a nice light salad and perhaps some mineral water? I am so tired this week (mainly from mentalling excessively) and he has been working super hard so by the time he rolls in from work I've already done everything for dinner etc and I'm just fed up of busting a gut.

To be fair, I don't work so it's not like I come home from a day at work and do all this, but I do have a 2 year old to look after so I'm just fed up of cooking lovely meals this week - hence the pizza. Although just to be healthy (errrr......) it is an oven pizza (um I mean salad?) rather than a take away one

TooImmature2BDumbledore · 12/08/2011 19:01

Am adding to my McDonald's calories from earlier with slap-up meal of roast lamb, roast potatoes, broccoli (for the folic acid content, natch) and chocolate cheesecake. Am entertaining my mum, stepfather and sister, so it would be rude not to provide delicious fattening grub.

Deny, the only thing that stops me feeling sick is eating! I am leaving little trails of crumbs behind me like Hansel and Gretel.

Just had duplicitous conversation with Dad where he fished to see if I was pregnant yet and I cunningly talked about other things and pretended I was going to get plastered tonight to throw him off the scent. Only 4 more days until I can tell him! (Am waiting for scan)

Biscuitsandtea · 12/08/2011 19:17

Too, if you've ticked off your folic acid then that is a Good Meal and hence any calorific or fattening parts can officially be disregarded :)

mememummy · 12/08/2011 21:12

Feeling lot better today also have low blood pressure n keep going very dizzy DD has been a superstar today went to see my mum earlier fell asleep on the sofa woke up 3 hours later with lamb dinner wafting in front of my face yum! Early start tomoz DD has dancing at 9 then I drop her off at nannies and go to bed before my four horrendous nights - why volunteer to do a weekend o night in A&E ? I must be crazy

I am off to Bulgaria for two weeks then :D

Also fennel tea seems to be helping with sickness? With a drop of sugar hot or cold also good for milk production in later stages and safe in pregnancy

Much love sending u all supersize bags of haribo xxxx

mememummy · 13/08/2011 03:39

I'm cooking pizza... I no it's nearly 4am but I am hungry

TooImmature2BDumbledore · 14/08/2011 13:12

Pizza at 4am sounds blissful! At 4am this morning I was rescuing a drunk DH, who had been out with friends and then lost them, so phoned me going 'please will you come and pick me up?' I = sap. He was supposed to be staying the night at said friends', so that I didn't have to pick him up in the week hours. Hmm

Yes, Biscuits, I have my scan on Tuesday! Yay! And oo-er.

DenyEverything · 15/08/2011 09:05

Morning all!

biscuits how was your pizza healthy bread and tomato-with-small-amount-of-cheese dinner? Fish n chips were delightful.

scan tomorrow then too? How exciting! Keep us posted.

meme hope you're surviving your A&E nights. I remember my A&E job well, mostly because I'm psychologically scarred by it Grin. respect!

We had an extremely busy weekend but I manage to brook no argument when it came to regular naps. Our visitors came with their 2 little ones in tow which was lovely but tiring. You'll be pleased to know I ate two roast dinners though which made up for any stress.

Have a top drawer which currently contains - one bag Fruit Pastilles, one bag Percy Pigs, one bag Starmix and one bag Tangfastics. I will be having major sugar rush soon and all teeth will have fallen out by 12 weeks but who cares?

Biscuitsandtea · 15/08/2011 09:11

Morning,

Deny the healthy bread dinner was delicious and all the better for being so low in calories and fat Grin

Keeping everything crossed for your scan tomorrow Too

Morning to everyone else.

Bit envious of Deny's top drawer.......

pommedechocolat · 15/08/2011 09:21

Morning all!

I am very sleepy currently. Not so shattered but I love my sleep. I go to bed before 10am and struggle to wake up in the morning. Not sure what would happen if dd did a night waking now!

The only thing is all this sleeping and feeling unsexy in every way has meant no bedroom action for weeks now. Think dh is feeling a bit down about us being less close. Needs addressing I think but not sure I can face it... Anyone else with the same issue?
