Grrr is what I say

Right PMA I'm going to spend 10 mins browsing boy names before bed. Want unusual not weird, needs to go with Jacob & Jenny, pref not a J and not an H as not a fan of alliteration. Suggestions welcome...

CazandBelle · 29/06/2011 22:29

very wriggly Xander tonight. I think he's mastered the art of roly poly's because it really feels like he's having a massive move around in there!!

Positive I was having lots of braxton hicks earlier this evening too, think I've overdone in today in work.

Loving all the boy announcements today!

Staceroo · 29/06/2011 22:45

Caz mines been an active one tonight too! I absolutely love it though! I can feel the kicks, but can also feel when he/she is moving around!

Re bf, I so hope I can do it without problems but went to visit my friend at the weekend, and she said she had 4 weeks of toe curling pain when bf at first! eek! But she did power through and manages without problems now. So nice to know that at least if I struggle, I know there's a chance I can get through it OK.

Same friend also went upstairs and bought down a SUITCASE FULL of maternity clothes! And let me raid as much or as little as I wanted! I'm soo happy, because was really starting to struggle, but didn't want to spend loads of money! Gonna look at the weekend for a nice pressie to send for her or her DD to say thankyou!

Going back to dreams... i had one that I had twins, then went home to bed and left DH in hospital with them overnight. Then the next morning when I went back he was looking after two of them, but had put the other one on a shelf around the corner!!!!

My sexy dreams have stopped now, but I think that's because I'm horny as hell when awake, so me and DH are at it like rabbits have had lots of early nights!

Not long till scan now! Monday morning! Can't wait!

Off to browse next maternity section online now as in desperate need of a dress for the Polo (very posh I know - not me at all!) at the weekend!

much love xx

PamSco · 29/06/2011 23:15

All clear for main 3 on amnio woohoo

chipmonkey · 29/06/2011 23:46

Brilliant news, Pam!Grin

Caliphora · 29/06/2011 23:58

Yay Pam!

Truffkin · 30/06/2011 00:00

Wow I can't believe how quickly this new thread has moved already! Thanks for starting Cep. No updates from me really, am tired from working too much but am looking forward to my Mom coming to stay for the weekend as she arrives tomorrow evening Grin so will be coming with us to the hospital on Saturday morning for the scan! I'm still not feeling movement, which worries me a little although people reassure me that for my first baby it is quite normal to start feeling movement after 20 weeks. I'm also thinking that being very preoccupied with work may mean I am less tuned into any flutters that I might otherwise notice. Fingers tightly crossed for Saturday and all being well with our little Raspberry.

Pam great news on the results

Sorry to hear people are struggling with unsupportive families or interfering MiLs! My MiL is lovely and we get on really well, but she does have quite old fashioned taste when it comes to names so we may disagree on that score I think. My SiL had her third baby 2 weeks ago and MiL is not keen on the name they have chosen, although I am hopeful that she hasn't said that to them!!

I think I have missed the note about the Facebook group on the other thread. If anyone can point me in the right direction, there is a link to my Facebook page on my Mumsnet profile. I'd be happy to befriend anyone from the thread and would love to see everyone's pictures in the group - please add me if you want to.

bumpandisaacsmum · 30/06/2011 07:10

pam great news on amnio results so far :)

Is anyone else being woken by active babies during the night?? Baby here gets really active between 3&4am, so much so I am woken & struggle to get back off until baby rests back down!! Am loving the movement but not the inerupted sleep- though should imangine come november that'll be the time I am up feeding etc :)

voodoomunkee · 30/06/2011 07:59

Yay new thread and I have actually found it!

Been trying to catch up with what has been happening, congrats on all the good scans and team blue announcements!

Hope everyone is doing well, am with those that have god awful heartburn and I can't stand Gaviscon as it makes me hurl. Yuk.

Good news - got offered a place on the MA. Bad times - need to sit my GCSE maths before Jan - exam dates are... yes you guessed it, my due date, the following day and the following week!! Bugger. Ah well this could be one hell of a challenge- maybe I should ask for sponsorship lol. I am not too worried though as can defer for a year (I think). Kind of getting that into my head and thinking it might be a good plan, especially if OH can support us for a bit and I can take the year out.

Welcome Dawny, sorry I can't remember who said what to name check but hey you all know how it is! Can't believe how fast this thread moves and I havent been online in a week or so nearly as been too tired and busy. I shall try to be better at keeping up!

Busy few days ahead though, work trip on Fri night and a day trip to a theme park this weekend with work then a trip to our office in the North West (about a 3hr trip) on Monday and a train journey home.... Not looking forward to just how tired I will be by Monday night!

Ziggimajiggi · 30/06/2011 08:15

Pam that is great news on the amnio :) So pleased for you.

Pam and Folic would love to meet up sometime. Preferably somewhere involving cake :)
I was at yoga on Tuesday, but I don't think the instructress was called Nadine - Belinda I think? Oooh! I can't wait to meet you in case we've all been passing each other in the street.

Got my scan tomorrow - literally can't wait! Think it will be a boy, but will be over joyed as long as the wee one is fine and well!

cookie9 · 30/06/2011 08:48

Pamsco that's great news re the amnio.

Staceroo how lucky getting a load of maternity clothes from your friend.

Caz what do braxton hicks feel like. Last night had sharp pain which was in stomach and back came very two minutes for about quarter of an hour but settled down afterwards. Was quite worried and if it comes ba k today was going to call doc for reassurance.

Comforting to know I am not the only one with slightly challenging mils! Mine actually said she would call our son by a different name. I think not ... Well not if she wants to spend time with him. She has made it clear she won't babysit so shouldn't be much of a problem.

cookie9 · 30/06/2011 08:52

Ps has anyone one found a maternity/nursing bra they can actually wear under maternity tops? My bras are massive hammocks and show under most tops.

PamSco · 30/06/2011 08:58

Ziggi, what time is the scan? I'm at 14:15h

cookie the bravada silk I think is a bit more low profile. Depends on your size, more petite ladies seem to have more choice of pretty ones.

Poppet45 · 30/06/2011 09:17

Ooooh scan in 6 hours!!! V wriggly bean so not feeling particularly paranoid, can't wait to find out hopefully which were having, and have the longest list of VBAC questions for my consultant's appt afterwards. Unfortunately DH will largely be entertaining DS so probably it will just be me. Any other VBACers have any tips? Couldn't sleep much last night for pondering it all - then DS woke up with a foul nappy and we all took about an hour to go to sleep again before he work bright and early at 5.50. Urgh, think he's teething again. Good question re the nursing bras as all mine DO show through the top of a lot of tops too.
Are those yogaing in Edinburgh going to the PPC to do it? That makes me v jealous and nostalgic but can't get there in an evening from Fife after DS's bedtime. Ho hum. There's a sling meet there on Sunday I'm hoping to go too though to try to narrow down my options for a sling for the little one. Hope all scans and things go well for folks today. After yesterdays bumper crop of boys I'm even more convinced this one may be team pink.

cookie9 · 30/06/2011 09:21

Many thanks pamsco lovely website

dirgeinvegas · 30/06/2011 09:59

Jjust book marking my place. No time to post lately (well except to argue on other threads - for some reason I can find the time for that). Off work tomorrow so hopefully will catch up then.

Hope you're all well Smile

Folicacid · 30/06/2011 10:16

poppet you may be too far for a ppc yoga but not for a ziggifolicpam merry up.

Yes please cake. I've rediscovered my sweet tooth in the past week.

Congrats on all the boys, looking forward to hearing a few girl announcements too.

great news pam

Welcome Dawny

Hils74 · 30/06/2011 11:03

Great news pam, fx for all the scanners today :)

Spent last night googling boys names as we were convinced it was a girl, now got a short list and just have to agree! Parents and in-laws will have to stick it, if they don't like our choice, tough!!

PMA - Off to see Take That at Wembley tonight, Fidget's first concert!! OH wants me to put ear muffs on my bump in case he like TT instead of ACDC!

PoppysMom · 30/06/2011 12:29

Fantastic news Pam. So pleased for you

Welcome Dawn!

I had my anomaly scan, but already "knew" I was having a girl from my previous scan. Anyhow, baby is all well and normal, but turns out "this baby is a boy!"!!! That was a serious surprise. I had a feeling before last scan (15 weeks) that I was carrying a boy, but then turned out to be a girl, as no boy bits, but three white lines. Well, today there were definitely boy bits!

So, after good scan went out and bought 1 babygro and 5 little romper suits. So cute!

Anyway, I am over the moon and I am now off to change my stats post to team blue :)

Poppet45 · 30/06/2011 12:45

Oh 2 hours and 40 minutes - Bunny seems equally ecited to say hi and has been a total wriggler all morning so although I'm worried about everything being okay I do know things are okay on one level IYSWIM? DS is in a terribly clingy awful mood... teeth, so will take some amusing in the waiting room. Last time him and DH ended up rolling repeatedly down a grass verge (to the amusement of the patients in the towerblock nearby) and came into the scanning room covered in grass. And oh yes please to an Edinburgh merry up!

H007 · 30/06/2011 12:52

I've come on for a grumpy moan :( so please don't read any further!

I just feel so stressed we are currently in the process of buying a house and it just seems like every time we are close to signing the mortgage company want more evidence of something or another. They have agreed the mortgage in principle but I just have this feeling in my belly that they are going to say no. The valuation of the new property came through yesterday and they were suppose to sign off if all was ok, but instead they asked for OH P60 for 2009 as they want to see what his overtime was then.... Why didn't they ask for it last week?? Also the university that I am completing my MSc in is doing my head in, I have been trying to contact my tutor for two months but we keep missing each other, I applied for mitigating circumstances last semester as I was so ill I didn't attend hardly any lectures and felt that I couldn't concentrate come exam/coursework got a message today to say that my circumstances had been excepted. They are so generous they are giving me until next Friday to write a piece of coursework and sit an exam. So I pretty much have a week to teach myself 12 weeks of a module as I didn't learn anything after February!! So angry on top of that the piece of coursework that I have to complete is a good a guess of yours as it is mine as I cannot find any information anywhere about what the coursework is suppose to be?! Have emailed module leader but am jubious whether I will get a response....

All on all everything just seems so difficult at the moment, and feel like everything/one is against me. All I want to do is have my 20 week scan to find out my baby is ok but have to wait till next Thursday for that!

I really have just had enough, been sat crying to myself for the last 20mins and figured I let it all out on here.... Sorry for being so miserable, but no PMA here :(

Hope you took notice of my first sentence and didn't bother to read it, it did help writing it though :)

Truffkin · 30/06/2011 13:23

H007 sorry you having such a bad day, that kind of thing can be stressful at the best of times, let alone all happening at once and when you are pregnant as well Confused No wonder you are upset! I hope you can get your work done in time, I know not everyone is like me but I definitely work better to a tight deadline and tend to leave things not done until the last minute Blush Could you plan a treat in for next weekend so you know you have got something to reward all of your hard work?

Sending ((hugs))

Caliphora · 30/06/2011 13:41

H007 I'll pretend I didn't read that ;P

Big hugs though - keep at it with your exams, hope you'll get a hold of people in time!

mashpot · 30/06/2011 14:05

H007 sorry about all the stress. I so sympathise as I too am in the process of moving house and it has been hellish. We were at risk of losing our buyers because everything was moving so slowly so we exchanged weeks ago and agreed to move out on 7 July because I was repeatedly told we were very close to exchanging on our purchase. Anyway, the purchase dragged on and on with lots of the same sort of annoying questions you are experiencing and on Monday I went into meltdown, knowing that we had to move out of our house next Thursday without anywhere to go. Well we exchanged on Tuesday and we will move into the new house next Thursday after all! I just wanted to send you some encouragement that it could all turn out fine. I have my scan next week too and it just feels like too much to worry about combined with a busy job but we'll all get through it.

Best of luck with the coursework and exams, all you can do is give it your best shot.

Lovely to hear people's good scan news - I want it to be my turn now but hanging on until next Wenesday!

kate393 · 30/06/2011 14:15

H007 I feel your pain, stuff like that is a nightmare....took me half an hour last night to read through and get head round solicitors documents for some land we're buying from our next door neighbour. There was only a few sheets and it took me ages....they cant seem to write in plain english or make it simple what the want back from you Angry!!!
Heres one for you ladies.....anybody had like a vibrating feeling from bump? I had it about a week ago in night (and blamed DH for shaking the bed as it woke me up - he didnt know what i was on about but as i frequently shout at him when asleep (!!!) and i wasnt sure if id been dreaming we didnt really think anything of it) but it happened last night again...woke me up, ready to blame DH again and had a few seconds to register that it wasnt infact him but me!!! Now i dont know what hiccups feel like, have only felt rolling and kicking etc but this seemed more like a vibration for a few seconds (enough to wake me up) and has happened twice now in middle of night? Normal movements etc in day. Any ideas???
