I think it must be different for different areas then by the sounds of it, they won't let you have a water birth here if your BMI is 35 or over, in fact they class you as in the 'at risk' category! Sad Hmm

Really looking forward to the 4d tomorrow Grin then I have enough courage to put some pics up on here Blush

MadKatz · 15/07/2011 14:07

that should have read 'might have enough courage'...fat fingers Confused

lizandlulu · 15/07/2011 14:12

oh ment to say i have some raspberry leaf tablets here an case anyone wants them, they are unsealed as i have had 3 but think there is 57 left! also have one of those labour aid gum things if anyone wants that, not moulded i should addGrin still as brand new.

to be honest i have got used to the idea of a c section. yes it was my last choice, but now i have got the idea in my head, i will jsut have to cope and thats that. at least i wont have to go through 20+ hours of pain. i like thigns to be planned so i am quite looking forward to getting there and knowing whats going to happen!

MadKatz · 15/07/2011 14:58

I can understand what you mean Liz re actually knowing what's going on x

KLou111 · 15/07/2011 15:47

evening all, hope you are all well, weather been crap here and racing was cancelled tonight so been out for tea, ordered smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel, then got it and didnt fancy it! not loving my appetite at the moment.

melly hows simon getting on with his gel pads? are they helping?

i am getting more tightening feelings, no rhyme to them, just random feelings but cant help wondering if this is the start of it. tonight i feel particularily odd, i dont seem to know what to do with myself. i am hungry but dont want to eat, thirsty but dont know what to drink and cant get comfy in any placeSad

MadKatz · 16/07/2011 22:05

Evening All,

Went for the 4D today. It was lovely to see baby, lots of facial expressions.

I have uploaded some of each scan now and all 3 from today Grin

Can't wait for it to come now!

Hope you're alright Liz x

lizandlulu · 16/07/2011 22:05

lizandlulu · 16/07/2011 22:06

ahh madkatz what a cutie! you dont knwo what it is do you?

MadKatz · 16/07/2011 22:11

No, we aren't finding out, although DH has been convinced its a boy since the BFP!!!

MadKatz · 16/07/2011 22:12

Meant to add hooray for the sky/phone/alarm Grin

OMG @ £6k electric bill Confused

lizandlulu · 16/07/2011 22:14

my dh is convinced ours is a boy too, most people who know me think i am having a boy, they will all die with shock if its a girl. my best mate keeps saying things like 'any sign of him today then?' and 'cant wait to see what he looks like'

MadKatz · 16/07/2011 22:19

I'm not sure what I'm having, will love it whether its a boy or a girl. Would like at least one each so this is just the start for us! All my weight is at the front so a few people have said I'm carrying a boy, but whenever I put on the slightest bit of weight its always at the front, so I don't think that's a good way to tell with me. Guess will have to wait and see Grin

Melly20MummyToPoppy · 17/07/2011 10:15

Hello all! Hows everybody doing? Madkatz your pics are so cute! Has it made you even more impatient to meet him/her? Simon says those pads are comfy, and its like walking on jelly, but they're not really helping at all. Was so pleased yesterday morning, poppy had slept 10.50, till 6.50 :o . That sucks liz that you have to pay that eon bill. Do you know why its so high yet or not? Me and simon suddenly have a big money problem now. I'll explain when im next on computer though, im not text typing all that lol :o I keep thinking its monday today [hhmm]

Melly20MummyToPoppy · 17/07/2011 10:18

ooh forgot to mention, my last 2 bump pics are up [hgrin]

GruffaloMama · 17/07/2011 14:36

Hi all. Liz sorry the turning didn't work (and it sounds horrid). Hope you're feeling better today and a bit more comfy and at least you've got your Sky back. Poppy sounds like a brilliant sleeper, melly, how is the feeding going? Have you managed to persuade Simon to change any more nappies? *Madkatz8 - lovely pics!

Everything fine here. No real labour signs, though have had occasional tightenings. Had quite a few the other night and thought something might be happening but they went away again. Would be very happy if I went into labour like now [hgrin] but suspect I won't. Am seeing the midwife tomorrow so will ask her if she'd do a sweep. I doubt she will (will be 39+2) but it's worth asking. I have been very emotional - burst into tears three times yesterday and DH is driving me mad. Not his fault actually - I know I'm just being a moody mare.

KLou111 · 17/07/2011 18:51

Hi all.
Madkatz gorge piccies :) I really can't tell looks boy or girl :)

melly you lucky thing you with your fab sleeper there!!

Liz hope you get comfy soon, feeling like shite here too with regards never getting comfy. And thanks for sorting tablets :)

Just about to dish up roast pork dinner, can't wait not had a roast for ages!!

Oooh lets hope something happens soon then gruffalo! Ooh its so exciting, all these babies due to be born soon! Feedings going fine thanks, although its bloody tiring and a complete pain in the arse if im busy and poppy needs feeding! I might try and introduce a bottle of expressed milk in a couple of weeks. How are you anyway, apart from the tightenings?

lizandlulu · 17/07/2011 21:32

evening all. well not much happening here. the feelings i was gwtting last night lasted all evening, so i thoughti 'll go to bed and see if i can sleep, turns out i had the best night sleep in weeks! must have got just the right angle of legs and knees to keep my belly comfy. had to get up at 4 for my routine loo visit, milk and gaviscon tab, but slept again till 8.

melly so glad poppy is sleeping and feeding well!!

gruffalo for your sake i hope you go into labour soon, its not nice this end bit is it! at this point when pg with lulu, she was almost a week old iyswim? she was 3 weeks early so i have never experienced this far into pregnancy, cant say i enjoy it!

madkatz i think that how you carry is all a load of tosh, i carried all out front with lulu and she was no boy andi think i am all out front with this one too, although some may argueGrin again got asked today by a friends mother, are you sure there is only one in thereHmm fuck off

lizandlulu · 17/07/2011 21:59

if i do keep getting these tightenings, do you think i ought to call the hospital? earlier when i was sat having tea in a chinese they came about every 10 mins, but now since i have been home they have tailed off.

i dont want to go into labour and be in pain if i am having a c section anyway!

what i would really like to do is go into hospital if i do keep having then pains and get checked over, but dont want to waste their time.

i was having contractions on thursday when i was on the monitor before they tried the turning, but the midwife said they were just braxton hick and only mild.

all hypothetical seeing as i dont seem to be having any at the min. but its hard to tell seeing as my bump is ROCK hard 99% of the time!

KLou111 · 18/07/2011 10:07

I think it would be worth the phone call Liz if only for peace of mind x

Iwish · 18/07/2011 19:37

Liz did you go to the hospital or speak to your midwife? How are you feeling?

gruff sending positive labour vibes to you lol. Hope it happens soon.

madkatz my guess it boy from your 12 week scan pic. Your 3d pics are lovely. It's a fab experience isn't it?

klou how are you? My guess is your having a girl.

melly yippee for Poppy sleeping well! Bet you are v happy!

Well we have been building furniture this weekend for little mans bedroom. I have just uploaded the pics. I love it! Keep going in there for a look round and keep finding DP doing the same.

lizandlulu · 18/07/2011 19:43

evening iwish no tha pains tailed off, didnt need to do anything in the end!

your nursery is lovely, very neat and tidy! mine seems to look like a bomb site as i still have all the bottles and steriliser in boxes in there, plus 2 car seats and the pram unit and a bouncy chair! i havent made the cot bedding up either, figured it would get dusty by the time i wanted to use it anyway (especially in this house Grin)
