Iwish · 18/07/2011 19:48

Its tidy for now lol. All the boxes of nappies etc are all hidden away in the wardrobe along with steriliser etc! The pram is hidden at nicks mums too.
Have you been trying to rest before bubba gets here? (if thats possible with lulu running round hehe)
My bump has felt very heavy and achy today. What is it going to be like in a few more weeks!!

lizandlulu · 18/07/2011 19:52

no cant really rest much as dad is still not at work and i have had to do alot of running about for the business, so by the time i have took lulu to school, done a few jobs and run about after everyone else, its time to pick her up again!

have been managing to fit in a few luches here and there thoGrin i dont like smoked bacon, or it cooked crispy, but there is a place in town that does smoked bacon and onion chutney bagles and they are to die for! work that one outHmm

Iwish · 18/07/2011 20:00

Lol! Maybe it's some kind of weird craving Grin. At least you are getting a bit of time to relax on your own even if it is sneaking off for a bacon bagel hehe.
I have taken a liking to smoked salmon (cooked in butter) and philli bagels. They are amazing!

lizandlulu · 18/07/2011 21:26

i can never do bagels at home like you can get in cafes. i dont know what they do to them but mine are always too chewy, yet i dont fancy a toasted one. but that might be what they do? no idea.

i am meeting a friend for dinner tomorrow and looking forward to that, and planning to take lulu to see cars 2 on friday night, but got to book tickets as i think it coems out on that day and will be busy. dont want to miss!

Iwish · 18/07/2011 21:37

We slightly toast our bagels and they are yum, they have a nice crunch to them.
Ooh being a lady that lunches hehe. Im going to do lunch when I finish for mat leave. Is it sad I'm looking forward to that lol! Grin
yeh bet it will be busy if it only comes out then. I want to go and see Harry potter but it'll be too busy so we are going to wait a couple more weeks I think.

What does lulu think about having a little brother/sister?

lizandlulu · 19/07/2011 13:11

well she seems to be looking forward to it, although in reality when it does come home i dont think shes going to know whats hit her. casue she has had my undevided attention for so long it might upset her that i cant do as she asks straight away. but she is quite a loving motherly child and she says shes going to help me 'but not doing the stinky nappies'Grin she also says 'when the baby crys at night i am just going to put my hands over my ears and go back to sleep'Grin she is quite a heavy sleeper tho so hopefully the night times wont be too interupted.

crap i forgot to go to get tickets for the cinema!!

KLou111 · 19/07/2011 16:03

iwish your nursery is lovely. I've not installed the mattress yet with the fear of it getting dirty but can't wait to do it.

We got our mobile thing lightshow for the cot yesterday. Love it. It's a winnie one, the dreamshow one. Dh said he had a little play last night with it before we went to bed as it was dark and he thinks its great. Don't know who is going to play with the toys more!

Liz hope you are feeling ok. Thank you so much for the tablets they came today :) .

gruff are you there yet?

KLou111 · 19/07/2011 16:05

Unwrapped not installed,flaming phone!

GruffaloMama · 19/07/2011 17:06

Hiya - no news - I'm still here. Thought something was going on yesterday. But it's all calmed down. Off to yoga tonight to see if I can jiggle it into moving! Midwife wouldn't do the sweep yesterday - wasn't surprised but I was a bit disappointed. Will have to revert to alternatives. Apparently the most reliable are nipple stimulation and sex. Lots of sex. Ye gads. I'm such a hippo that we might need a winch!!! Still as long as I don't crush him, at least DH might enjoy it. Grin If it works it could be the last time for a while Wink

Iwish the nursery is lovely and you have a gorgeous bump there. klou it's lovely your DS is into the toy set up etc. We still haven't put the cot together. Might do it tonight after yoga if I've got the energy.

Have had a bit of a mare with the double buggy. My SIL had given me hers - it's a Jane Powertwin. They're really good pushchairs but when I got it out to clean it down and wash all the bits, the seat units are mildewed. I don't reckon I'll be able to salvage them. Have got Kiddicare on the case with possible replacements but no luck so far. I went on the pushchair thread and someone has suggested a Mountain Buggy Duet/Duo. They look great but are expensive (£580 new) - can't decide what to do. The duet is brand new so can't get it second-hand... Am stalking ebay for a duo as I type...

GruffaloMama · 19/07/2011 17:07

Liz hope you've got the tickets okay - glad to hear that Lulu is keen on a baby brother/sister. Not sure DS will be that keen although he does keep bringing his toys to show to my bump...

Iwish · 19/07/2011 18:55

Aww Liz bet she will be like mother hen! And sooo sweet saying she will put her hands over her ears bless her. Not surprised about the nappies tho Grin

thanks klou. I love it. I just keep going in and having a look lol. :)
I decided to put the mattress on anyway but before he actually goes in in the bedding and mattress will be having a good clean, it's just for show now hehe Grin was wondering why you put 'installed' haha!! Thought you were going all posh on us! Don't do posh in my neck of the woods Grin
your DH is sweet playing with the toys lol. My DP keeps playing with the mobile and the swing. He loves them.

thanks gruff to both the nursery and the bump. I feel massive and people like to tell me I am too Angry.
You had better get on with the sex and nipple stimulation lol! Hope you manage to get your pushchair sorted.

Well I received a letter TODAY saying I had a telephone appt with the physio YESTERDAY??!! Seriously!! Stupid.

Is it bad they I have not even 5 minutes ago had 3 slices of cheese on toast and I'm considering a bowl of cereal? I'm starving!!

lizandlulu · 19/07/2011 18:57

ahh gruffalo thats so sweet!!! lulu sorted through some of her old toys thats kept at mums and said the baby can have them, then sorted through her teddies and found some from when she was a baby she said it couls have but she keeps taking them backGrin

hope you get sorted with the buggy, will a machine wash not get rid of the mildew?

i dont have a mobile yet, i want the fisher price rainforest one. its about £38 and i got all excited when i saw in a magazine that tesco had it with 20% off but i missed the deadlineSad

lizandlulu · 19/07/2011 18:59

iwish there is worse things you could eat than a bowl of cerealSmile

what a cock up with the physio, bet you are gutted, will you have to wait long for another appointment?

Iwish · 19/07/2011 19:18

Well I've just had a massive bowl of cereal. It was sooo yummy! I really enjoyed it, more than my cheese on toast actually... Grin

I rang the pyhsio number who said to ring tomorrow between 8:30 and 3:00. Hopefully I won't have to wait long, 11 weeks till my due date so I need to get sorted lol.

I just looked at the mobile you want in eBay, it's lovely!
Did you manage to get your cinema tickets?

lizandlulu · 19/07/2011 20:39

no, still forgot to get thme when i went to pick lulu up from school, but its on my list for things to do tomorrow.

forgot to mention that hcris brought be breakfast in bed this morning!!!! my fave, macdonalds sausage, egg and cheese bagel with hash brownSmile...shame it was 6.20!!!

i'd had heartburn all night, been up at 12, 3 and 4 with the various things, milk, remegels and gaviscons, then just got comfy at about half 5 and drifting off to sleep again when he poked me and handed me a plateGrin

i must say, the grease at that time in the morning was alot to stomach, but he had thought of me and looked so pleased with himself he would have been gutted if i hadnt eaten it!(also ruined my chances ever again of getting it in the future)

i can usually eat anything at any time of the day but with this pregnancy my appetite has been all over the place.

could actually eat one right nowGrin

KLou111 · 20/07/2011 08:45

Cereal is my fave food at the mo Iwish could quite happily eat it all the time and nothing else, well except chocolate and sweets :)

Happy shagging gruff hope you don't squash your Dh, you could always bend over lol!

Liz so cute of lulu sharing her toys. Do you think she'll take them back once the baby is here? :)

Well all ok here. Ok sleep last night, only 3 wee trips but the sodding dog woke me up at 8 git!
Dh starting lounge floor today. Emptied the room yesterday and sorted how many planks across the room and where to start from etc so just a case of hopefully chucking them down today. Yeah right,in this house that would be far too easy!
Right, off for my cereal :)

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 20/07/2011 17:07

how have you got on with the floor klou?

i dont think lulu will take the toys back, but she will prob keep saying they're hersGrin

god i am tired today, just nrealy fell asleep on the sofa till lulu woke me up and i never do that!

oh and have been to look at the nursery today where i will be sending the new baby when i go back to work at 6 months old. got to book its place already!

Melly20MummyToPoppy · 20/07/2011 17:50

Gosh i honestly can't believe how fast the time is going for everyone! iwish it doesn't seem 5 minutes since your 20 week scan! Your nursery is lovely, i love that bedding! liz have you got those tickets yet? Is it the peek a boo rainforest mobile you like? I have that one, poppys just started noticing it and she gets absolutely transfixed by it! I got mine off amazon, 35 quid. Not cheap but it's worth it! Can't believe you have to book a nursery place already, is it a popular one then? Gruffalo have you shagged that baby out yet? If not i second what klou said, bend over :o klou how much is left to do after the flooring?

lizandlulu · 20/07/2011 18:57

this is the one i want melly i think its the same as you have <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=www.fisher-price.com/img/product_shots/K3799_b_1.jpg&imgrefurl=reviews.fisher-price.com/6194/38346/reviews.htm&usg=__OXazrerHKgYZxHZ9iT-kdxVhYgo=&h=243&w=243&sz=12&hl=en&start=0&zoom=1&tbnid=u4cRGmg9U-iQSM:&tbnh=123&tbnw=123&ei=YRYnTvarCobF8QPVy7yUCw&prev=/search%3Fq%3Drainforest%2Bmobile%2Bfisher%2Bprice%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DX%26rlz%3D1W1ADFA_en%26biw%3D1344%26bih%3D534%26tbm%3Disch%26prmd%3Divns&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=183&vpy=84&dur=891&hovh=194&hovw=194&tx=104&ty=107&page=1&ndsp=24&ved=1t:429,r:0,s:0&biw=1344&bih=534" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=www.fisher-price.com/img/product_shots/K3799_b_1.jpg&imgrefurl=reviews.fisher-price.com/6194/38346/reviews.htm&usg=__OXazrerHKgYZxHZ9iT-kdxVhYgo=&h=243&w=243&sz=12&hl=en&start=0&zoom=1&tbnid=u4cRGmg9U-iQSM:&tbnh=123&tbnw=123&ei=YRYnTvarCobF8QPVy7yUCw&prev=/search%3Fq%3Drainforest%2Bmobile%2Bfisher%2Bprice%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DX%26rlz%3D1W1ADFA_en%26biw%3D1344%26bih%3D534%26tbm%3Disch%26prmd%3Divns&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=183&vpy=84&dur=891&hovh=194&hovw=194&tx=104&ty=107&page=1&ndsp=24&ved=1t:429,r:0,s:0&biw=1344&bih=534

blimey thats a long link thing!!!

the nursery is quite a good one and its just at the top of our lane so i wanted to get it in so i know i can definatly get the place there. i know the lady who runs the baby room, her son is in lulus class and its just ideal for my convenience.

yes got tickets in the end, booked them online, dont know why i didnt do that beforeHmm although going sat afternoon now cause its lulu's school disco friday night. i didnt realise that 5 year olds had school discos!

Iwish · 20/07/2011 19:06

Wow Liz breakfast in bed!! Bet you were shocked and happy lol! Crap about the heartburn tho. It's not nice is it.
You must need the sleep if you were nodding off. Maybe it has caught up with you from the night befores bad sleep.

klou I love cereal. I have it as a snack when I'm hungry almost every day. I do have too many naughty sweets and chocolate tho. I have 1 bar of chocolate every day Shock
Hope you have been putting your feet up while your DH has been doing the work!

Thanks melly I'm well proud of it. It's a mamas and papas set, everything matches even the swing and the lamp shade! Grin 30 weeks on Monday! Eek! Getting excited now, wishing time away to meet my little man.
How are you doing?

Been to see the midwife today to check up on my monstrously fat foot. All is well, bp is ok and urine is clear. Phew! Little man is doing fab. He is head down and sticking his feet in my ribs lol. She measured my belly and set I'm spot on for dates.

Melly20MummyToPoppy · 20/07/2011 19:36

3 thongs? Or did you mean things :o it's just that thongs might be rather uncomfortable after just having a baby :o

Yes liz thats the one, I want one for myself to be honest haha! I've got a picture of poppy lying in her crib just staring at the animals :) nurserys handy then, you won't have far to go will you? I still havent figured out what i'm going to do with poppy if/when i go back to work. I'm trying to decide if we can afford it or not. I'll have to explain tomorrow when i get on the computer. See if you ladies can advise me.

lizandlulu · 20/07/2011 19:44

no wont have far to go at all, its right on my route to and from school. this nursery is £32 a day, from 7.30 to 6pm. it will only be there from about half 8-9 to 4 but still counts as a full day so got to pay full amount.

iwish no i really woundlt reccomend thongs either Grin Grin Grin

best laugh i have had all day!!

Iwish · 20/07/2011 20:18

Omg!! I'm so rubbish lol! I meant 'things' I'm typing on my iPhone and it likes to change words! I can imagine thongs aren't nice after birth Blush Confused

Glad I kept you both amused lol Grin Grin

I'm thinking about cereal....

lizandlulu · 20/07/2011 20:32

are any of you bottle feeding? i was just making a list of things i have got to do next week before cesarian, you know, change beds, wash towels, bathmats that sort of thing i i thought i should get the steriliser out and practice with it so i can use it straight away, when i realised i dont know how to make a bottleBlush

with lulu i made up bottles for the day and stored them in the fridge, but thats not good enough now aparently, so am thinking that i am going to do this...

sterilise the bottles, fill the with the boiled water and leave to cool (put in the fridge when cool enough), then add powder as and when i need to, heat if necessary, surely that would be ok?

KLou111 · 20/07/2011 20:55

Thongs lmao Iwish don't like them at the best of times!
Glad you got tickets Liz. Haven't got a clue about bottles tbh.

Flooring half done. Looks beautiful totally love it. Pain in the arse as the planks are all different lengths as apparently proper wood is like that hmm. We'd already sorted it so we just have been making sure we have so many of each per row. Doing well so far.but don't you just know we'll end up with loads of the same at the end!
Should be done tomorrow :)
And moi sit down yeah right!
