Yey Liz flag violet used to her cot already.

Re the private rentals, we looked at a site called ownersdirect.co.uk to do exactly what you're thinking of,but unless you split the cost with friends, it wasn't worth doing. I'd do it if its better Liz.

I'd prob put it down to the weather too iwish

Euan hasn't really enjoyed this weather, he's been so hot bless him, at least on hol you've got air con etc, just been unbearable in our house and garden for him. Was a bit restless from 6am so brought him into conservatory so didn't disturb our friends, and we fell asleep on the sofa lol. Is quite cool in here still at the moment which is great.

Morning Ladies,

Well ...still here...twiddling my thumbs...come on LO, make a move!!!

Iwish · 02/10/2011 15:38

He's still v whingy today and its quite cool today, it's even rained. He has just had a feed and done a massive fart so he's happy Grin

Hope violet slept better liz? don't know much about holidays as it's been sooooo long since we had a holiday lol!

klou bless you falling asleep on the sofa! 6am is v early to be getting up.

madkatz not long now I bet. Your LO Is all comfy in there by the sounds of it.

I can't believe how long it takes to get out of the house with a baby!! It takes hours!! Got all our bags etc ready today then went to change Joshua, while changing him he weed all over himself so required a clean, a new nappy and new outfit!
Going to register him tomorrow and I can't remember what time. It's either 9am or 11am Confused

lizandlulu · 02/10/2011 17:57

iwish is he abit happier now?

klou i looked on that ownersdirect and there was some lovely places but booked up for the time we want to go, sods law but it will be half term so can be expectedSad want to get it booked soon tho, i hate waiting for other people cause we usually end up not going and nothing gets organised. they are a family of 5 and its the flights thats killing them. we only have to pay for 3 flights so its not too bad but thier kids are 9, 6 and 4 so have to pay full price.

madkatz i bet its awful fro yuo in this heat, i dont think its going to last much longer tho.

violet went in her cot last night at 10.30 and asleep for 10.45, a couple of whinges but hardly anything, she woke at 1 so i went to do a bottle and when i got back shed gone back to sleep, so i left her and she slept till 4! then had another bottle at 7 and back to sleep till 8.45!! plus lulu laid in as she was late in bed too, it was bliss!! back to the grind stone again tomorrow thoSad

Iwish · 02/10/2011 20:31

Hes still whingy liz. He just wants to be picked up and cuddled but I don't want to keep picking him up because he will just get used to it.

Wow she slept well last night, looks like she likes her cot then. Hopefully she will carry on like that. What's her feeding like during the day?

KLou111 · 02/10/2011 20:55

Wow that's great Liz! Clever violet :)

Don't really know what to suggest iwish do you think he's not getting enough food cos of his tongue and he's hungry?

Weather been better and cooler today for the little man. I had a couple of glasses of champagne last night, which our friends bought with them to celebrate Euan, and I fed him this morning and he was sick. fed him some expressed out if the freezer and fine, fed him again this aft and sick, so have been feeding him pre expressed all day. Feel sooooo bad, and won't be doing it again. Robs going to do his in the night feed tonight, cos I'm knackered after this morning, and bottle feeding anyway. Hope I sleep, my boobs are so sore and hard cos have not fed all day.

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 02/10/2011 21:50

iwish she is so unpredictable with her feeding, she can go anything between 1 and half hours to 4 hours. she faffs about alot and doesnt have it all in one go, but can cope seeing as she is quite good at night really.

klousurely those 2 glasses wouldnt do that to him? i wouldnt have thought so and its prob just coincedence? dont feel bad, you live and learn. maybe he doesnt like your perfume?Grin it must be awful to have sore full boobs, can you express some off?

i am off to bed now, violet went down at 9.30, she dozed off on her bottle but woke when i put her in but she didnt moan or anything. fingers crossed she sleeps well.

oh and tomorrow is the last of the hot weather, or so the weather man says....YIPPPEEEEEE!!!!

SpaghettiTwirlerAndProud · 03/10/2011 09:36

Wow liz that's great about violet! Wish poppy would do that, she woke up 6 bloody times last night. I'm exhausted! Everytime i went to her she was lying on her front! Couldn't believe it!

madkatz i hope you're keeping ok in this heat! Thankfully it's over now (i think)!

Blimey klou i bet you won't be doing that again in a hurry! I can't believe just 2 glasses would do that to him!

iwish hurry up with some piccies! I'm dying to see joshua! Sounds to me like he's a clingy baby, poppy is ridiculously clingy. I can hardly put her down most days!

KLou111 · 03/10/2011 10:41

Well have fed Euan and he's not been sick woohoo! Went through 3 sets of breast pads last night, kept waking up wet!! He's now flat out on my lap. Was very good last night, went straight down after his bottle in the night (I got up cos was awake with my boobs lol) was only up 25 mins!! But he woke at 6.30 so am a bit sleepy, even though he fell back to sleep at 7, I was awake then.

Scary melly poppy rolling over lol, she's growing up quick!!

OP posts:
Iwish · 03/10/2011 13:55

im not sure Klou i suppose its possible. I do feed him as much as he will take, sometimes he does throw it back up tho. His op is tomorrow tho so hopefully all will be well then.
Glad Euan has fed without being sick, sorry about the boobs tho, i just express when they get sore, trying to express every 3 hours but its so hard when you have stuff to do.

Wow Melly she is growing up! a little scary shes on her front but maybe shes comfy like that. You said that Poppy is very clingy, is she like that at night or just during the day?

Liz i think Joshua is a bit like violet with his feeding then, sometimes he takes quite a lot and will go 3-4 hours but sometimes he only has a bit and wants more 1-2 hours later.

I have finally uploaded some pics of little man. Just picked a few random ones.

MadKatz · 03/10/2011 16:08

Still very hot here today and I'm hating it!!!

No news, really don't want to get to my 40 wk MW appointment on Thursday when they'll start talking about sweeps and inductions and things Sad

KLou111 · 03/10/2011 16:19

OMG Iwish he's beauuuuuuutiful!!!!

Labour vibes still coming your way madkatz, I'm thinking by the end of this weekend Grin

OP posts:
Iwish · 03/10/2011 16:21

Have registered Joshua today so he officially exists now lol!

Iwish · 03/10/2011 16:22

lizandlulu · 03/10/2011 20:09

iwish he is gorgeous!!! i love it when they go to sleep on you with thier mouth opedGrin its soooo cute!

madkatz it will soon be over, and you will wish it was back inGrin

well i have booked that apartment, its this one www.villarenters.com/rent-villas/spain/playa-de-levante/benidorm-apartment-up-to-8-people-69351/availability/ i do hope its ok, i have had to book it all seperatly, flights, then transfers (having to be dropped off down the road as they wont go to private addresses, had to go to nearest hotelHmm) then apartment. the owner was really quick about answering my questions tho and seemed ok. he wanted £70 to book a travel cot for 4 nights tho! i know where there is a hire shop which hires out scooters, wheelchairs, pushchairs and that kind, they have them 20 euro deposit and 3 euro a night so going to get one from there.

Iwish · 03/10/2011 21:33

Thanks liz I am a v proud mummy Grin

The apartment looks lovely. What date did you end up booking for? Bet you can't wait. Shock at £70 for the travel cot tho!!

Little man a little less whingy today but not much less. He's just had a bath and cried when we took him out lol. He's now lay on me while I'm watching tv. Would be lovely if he would go in the Moses basket without crying.

MadKatz · 04/10/2011 11:41

Hello all,

Sorry if this is TMI...

Really bad pressure in the groin area since last night and creamy discharge this morning....could this be the start?

lizandlulu · 04/10/2011 12:22

ohhhh madkatz i would say so, aNYTHING thats different at this stage would be in i would have thought. keep us informed!!!

iwish we are going 23rd to 30th, not long really but will do us. i know Shock about the travel cot!! nearly as much as the whole bloody apartment!!

well violet was dropping off on her bottle last night at 9, so i thought i would put her in her cot. BIG mistake!!! she cried for best part of 3 hours and finally dropped off at 12.30!!! i kept going to her obviousley and everytime i did she stopepd crying. so there was nothing wrong with her, just didnt want to be in there. i tried to settle her without picking her up, but did cave in a coulle if times.

the child has an iron will!!

KLou111 · 04/10/2011 12:51

I'd say so too madkatz!!! Good luck. Have you got a tens?? Have a bath and a walk, AND SEX ALREADY!!!! Wink

Well, got my buggy for our hols. Asda are doing a special at the moment on a Hauck Sports buggy for £25!!!!! Went to buy a new one on ebay for £41, thought would just have a look on google and found that!! Happy days :)

Have you got a mobile Liz or a lightshow thing for the cot?? The one we have works really well.

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 04/10/2011 12:58

have you rang the hospital madkatz?

we have a mobile klou but when shes in full swing mothing distracts her. i also have a couple of musical things on the cot, but they didnt work, even the trusty sleep sheep didnt send her to sleep! i might get a light show tho, thats something completly different isnt it.

chris just come home cause hes going to the doctors and brought a quinny speedi back that come in the scrap!! its the same as this <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=quinny+speedi&hl=en&sa=X&rlz=1R2ADFA_enGB419&biw=1360&bih=556&tbm=isch&prmd=imvnsr&tbnid=A4tDKUhCoeeoBM:&imgrefurl=www.babybyes.com/Prams-and-Pushchairs/Pushchairs-and-Prams/Baby-Travel-Systems/quinny-speedi-travel-system-includes-maxi-cosi-cabrio-carseat&docid=ZXXdAFYIe7uUxM&w=329&h=260&ei=afSKTpuwIIOR0QX9iPTIBQ&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=895&vpy=197&dur=94&hovh=200&hovw=253&tx=105&ty=186&page=1&tbnh=105&tbnw=133&start=0&ndsp=20&ved=1t:429,r:7,s:0" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=quinny+speedi&hl=en&sa=X&rlz=1R2ADFA_enGB419&biw=1360&bih=556&tbm=isch&prmd=imvnsr&tbnid=A4tDKUhCoeeoBM:&imgrefurl=www.babybyes.com/Prams-and-Pushchairs/Pushchairs-and-Prams/Baby-Travel-Systems/quinny-speedi-travel-system-includes-maxi-cosi-cabrio-carseat&docid=ZXXdAFYIe7uUxM&w=329&h=260&ei=afSKTpuwIIOR0QX9iPTIBQ&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=895&vpy=197&dur=94&hovh=200&hovw=253&tx=105&ty=186&page=1&tbnh=105&tbnw=133&start=0&ndsp=20&ved=1t:429,r:7,s:0 its abit ratty, needs cleaning up, but alright for nowt!! well will have cost about £2 in scrapSmile

MadKatz · 04/10/2011 12:59

Can I ask - did you all have more/less baby movements when you were in labour?

MadKatz · 04/10/2011 13:06

No I don't have a tens KLou, we decided against it in the end, but our birth unit does offer massage with oils so I've asked for that.

Now here's me being naive.... should I ring the hospital? No other symptoms at the mo.

KLou111 · 04/10/2011 13:18

Less madkatz definitely. I don't think I actually felt the baby move at all in labour come to think of it!
Are you timing your pressure feelings? Are they getting closer and longer? I'd phone the MW rather than the hospital, she'll come and examine you at home:)

OP posts:
MadKatz · 04/10/2011 13:34

Our MW's don't come out here, we have to go to triage. I have just spoken to my MW, she has confirmed it probably is my plug and just to see how I go and if I get too uncomfortable to go in. I'm seeing her tomorrow anyway....if we get that far!

lizandlulu · 04/10/2011 13:37

how exciting!! fancy having a massage while in labour! thats really goodSmile

to be honest i cant remember feeling the babies move while in labour either. not a great deal anyway
