He sleeps 7-10pm, feeds and awake, sleeps 11.30-4.30am, feeds, awake, sleeps 5-5.30-8am or when I wake him.
Sleeps about 4 hrs between 8am and 7pm unless we go out cos he'll be asleep the whole time we're out. :)

lizandlulu · 26/09/2011 17:42

wow i cant believe how good he is!! you are so luckySmile how long is he awake inbetween them times?

violet will sleep all day if we go out too. we went to meadowhall yesterday and she slept for hours!

KLou111 · 26/09/2011 18:33

We try to keep him up 1.5hrs at 10pm til 11.30 so he'll sleep later til 4.30ish then he's up anything between 30mins to 1hr depending on if he has wind. Hopefully he'll skip the 4.30 one soon though :)

one more question klou Grin (sorry) is he is his bedroom from 7pm?i just like to get as amny peoples advice and ideas so i can work out how to do it and what to doGrin

another plus side is that i am finally getting lulu into the habit of going to lseep on her own! i used to have to stand with her till she went to sleep, taking anything up to 45 mins! now i leave the baby in the living room while i read her stories, then make the excuse of having to check on the baby amd promise to return in 5 mins, which i do but most times shes fell asleep! you dont understand what a landmark that is for me!

SpaghettiTwirlerAndProud · 27/09/2011 10:47

Hello everyone! How you all doing?

Can't believe poppy is 15 weeks old on friday Shock it's gone so fast, she's in her own room now too. Well our new washer arrived on saturday and the damn things broken! Someone is coming out on thursday to mend it or to get it replaced. My dads dog is having puppies right now as we speak, there's 2 out so far! I really want one lol :(

klou sounds like you're doing really well with euan! How old is he now?

liz that's really great about lulu! Loving the sneaky tactics there :o love that blanket thing too, haven't got a footmuff for poppys buggy when she's big enough so i might get one of those!

iwish how are you getting on with joshua? Ok i hope!

Won't be long now madkatz! It's almost your due date now isn't it? Beginning of october?

KLou111 · 27/09/2011 10:59

Yey Liz with lulu!! :) she'll do herself soon I hope.
Once Euan is upstairs, we keep him there then, seems to work.
We put him in his big cot last night so no longer in the basket in the cot.
He's 6+3 weeks now melly going quick!! Can't believe how 'old' poppy is. Shit about the washer :(
Hope the rest of you ok.
Just taking car to garage and all walking back, about an hour walk, hope doesn't rain!!

OP posts:
Iwish · 27/09/2011 13:58

klou you are so lucky with Euan! He seems to b v good.
Did he like it in his big cot?

melly I can't believe she is 15 weeks already!! Time has gone so fast. Although I can't believe Joshua is 9 days old. That's crap that the washing machine only lasted a few days, if I were u I'd demand a new one instead of fixing that one, just purely because it's so new.

liz that's fab about lulu. Sounds like she's really getting there now. Fingers crossed she will have it cracked in a couple of days.

Hey to madkatz and gruff

Joshua had a whingy night last night. He was fine until we went to bed then he just didn't want to be put down. We fed him and put him in his Moses basket but he cried/whinged until we picked him up. Thought he wanted more food as he was eating his hands etc but he didn't want it.
This parenting lark is guesswork isn't it!!

KLou111 · 27/09/2011 17:47

Dummy Iwish fabulous inventions :)

OP posts:
KLou111 · 27/09/2011 17:54

I just noticed I forgot to mention, on the 7-10pm thing, I feed Euan a full feed at 10pm, then he's awake til 11:30pm, but I feed him again at 11:15pm to top him up so he sleeps near to 4:30am :)

Seemed to like his big cot iwish :) He stretched out his arms like you do when you get into a nice comfy bed IYSWIM?? Was so funny, but he's this tiny dot in the massive bed! I said to Rob, it's like a dwarf getting into a queen size bed!! (No offence to dwarves!!)

lizandlulu · 27/09/2011 19:07

evening all.

hiya melly has the dog finished yet? what sort are they? how many?

iwish dont worry we all have days like that. violet sucks her hands like that too, so i take it to mean that shes hungry but sometimes she isnt and she must just like doing it. mil recons she is going to be a thumb sucker. i really hope not tho and just keep trying to guide her hands away from her mouth.

i am going to put her in her cot of friday night. i went to get the cot made up ready and got out what i thought was a cot set, (bumper and top blanket thing) whan i looked at the label and its said crib setHmm i dont even have a crib!! why on earth i bought that i do not know. so going to lincoln on friday to see if toys r us will exchange it for a bumpe,r i dont have the receipt tho

SpaghettiTwirlerAndProud · 27/09/2011 19:33

liz yes she's done now. There were 7, 4 girls and would've been 3 boys but 1 didn't make it, so there are 6 altogether! They are boxers. They'll be ready just in time for christmas unfortunately.

iwish the washer didn't even work once! We discovered that the first time we tried to use it. It doesn't take any water in at all. I know exactly what you mean about the guesswork iwish, that's all it really is most of the time lol!

klou poppy has/had a crib and she could stretch out, but her arms would stick out either side :o

MadKatz · 27/09/2011 20:08

Evening Ladies,

Well, absolutely nothing happening here! Am going to try pineapple but not until we get back from London (Friday).

Just want LO here now, we're both getting impatient!

x

KLou111 · 28/09/2011 09:11

Are you on raspberry leaf madkatz?
Fingers crossed for you soon x

Well, had a better nights sleep than usual, the bit went down at 10.30pm and wouldn't wake up again, so I fell asleep too, and he didn't wake til 4.45, up feeding and awake til 5.30 then I woke him at 8. Feel so good!! Now he's asleep again for 45mins til 10ish.
Love my winnie dreamshow, works so well getting him off too :)
Hope you're all ok x

Yeah am taking raspberry leaf twice a day KLou

lizandlulu · 28/09/2011 14:42

afternoon all.

melly how lovely!! shame about the one that died but to be expected i spose. good hat she had them all ok tho, i always thought that bulldog breeds usually had to have cesarians cause their heads are big. are they cute? silly question i spose!

klou you really do astound me! you are so together and have taken to it like a duck to waterSmile not that i thought any different!

i am going to put violet in her own cot in her room on friday night. am actually looking forward to it! i had to get my mum to check i had made the cot up right tho, i couldnt remember what i did with lulu and didnt know if to have the sheets tucked in or not.

madkatz it will all come too soon, i am really excited about seeing your birth announcmentGrin

KLou111 · 28/09/2011 17:56

That'll be good, putting violet in her cot Liz
I have a couple of sleeping bags for Euan, I've got blankets and sheets but he's such a fidget I'd probably be up half the night tucking him back in!
Got 2 off eBay but got one in primark while back in the midlands for £9.

I feel a lot more confident with Euan now, he's being really good, but really unsettled when we git back last week. I was worried he had colic as taking a couple of hours for a couple of nights to settle him.

Hope the pups ok melly I love boxers, so cute.

Off to give Euan his bath x

OP posts:
KLou111 · 29/09/2011 07:45

Morning all, another fab nights sleep :) woke up at 7 though cos I fell asleep at 9pm so I got up. Fingers crossed we've cracked the 'colic' too, it says in my book that the discomfort may just be baby being overfed, so as we were at home yesterday all day, I did the routine strictly to the letter and hurrah, nothing!!! Straight to sleep, I kind of felt a bit bored tbh though lol iyswim but sooooo glad our little man wasn't in any pain :)

How's Joshua iwish?

OP posts:
KLou111 · 29/09/2011 08:13

melly when was it you had a bleed again? I've started bleeding red like a period (sorry if tmi) but I remember you starting to bleed around 6 weeks I think? Euan is 7 weeks Saturday, and my loss had almost stopped then this. Very confused!! Did you ever find out what it was?

OP posts:
SpaghettiTwirlerAndProud · 29/09/2011 10:03

Well I stopped bleeding around 6 or 7 weeks after, then started again at 7 or 8 weeks (can't remember exactly when). I mentioned it to the Dr and he said if it didn't stop in a few days come back and they'll take swabs as it may be an infection. It stopped a few days later. So I never did find out what it was!

I have sleeping bags for Poppy, first few weeks we wrapped her up in a blanket but it became such a faff we gave up and used the bags!

I just went on facebook and stole a few puppy pics off my dads profile and uploaded them to here if you fancy a nosey!

Iwish · 29/09/2011 11:33

Hey lovelies. Sorry I have been quickly reading but not writing, had quite a few visitors.

Joshua is doing ok, he has been waking around half 1 and half 4 for a feed then again at about half 8. Although his last feed is about 12ish.
His cord had been bleeding a bit this morning, is that normal? He's 11 days old now and it's still attached.

melly the pups are so cute! Hope u and poppy r ok.

klou you are so Jammy with Euans sleeping. Would the bleeding just be a normal period? That would be my guess lol.

liz how are you doing with violet and lulu?

Any signs madkatz? sorry you must be sick of that question now.

Hey gruff hope u r ok.

KLou111 · 29/09/2011 13:01

Awwww, sounds like you're doing fab with Joshy Iwish :)

Not sure about the bleeding cord thing, maybe mention it to the MW or HV, Euan's came off at about 8 or 9 days old x

OP posts:
KLou111 · 29/09/2011 13:13

so cute melly :)

OP posts:
Iwish · 29/09/2011 13:21

MW is coming today klou so will ask her I think. She's going to weigh him so hope he's put on some weight.

Can you recommend anything for getting his wind up? He doesn't like to let go of it at all so ends up crying until he eventually farts lol.

:)

KLou111 · 29/09/2011 14:47

I used infacol til a month, then gripe water which is so much better bit can't use til they are a month. Infacol you use every day as takes a day or so to get into their system whereas gripe water is straight away so you use as and when.
Don't be alarmed if Josh is still under birth weight, it took Euan almost 3 weeks to get back upto weight since then he's rocketed!! He was 8lb 12.75oz, now 11lb 4oz as of this morning :)
