yes good luck gruff hope he likes it. and enjoy your time just you and the baby!

well i have just put violet in her basket in our room and got the monitor on. shes been awake since 4, with a couple of breif naps, and i mean brief, half hour about 6 ish and 5 mins about 9. she looked to me to be trying to lseep in her bouncy chair but kept getting disturbed by me and the telly, so i put her to bed. hope she sleeps well.
i put her to bed last night at half 9 as i couldnt keep her awake any longer but she woke at 12.30, 3.30 5.30 then had to wake her at 7.45 to get her ready to leave the house at 8.30 for school. she didnt sleep well at all.

her sleeping pattern for the last few weeks has been to stay awake in the evenings, from 5 ish till 11 ish then sleep till 4-5ish, getting a full 6 hours some nights which i found better, but last night and tonight has been different

KLou111 · 20/09/2011 13:01

Hi all, currently on Euans first bus journey lol. Good as gold bless him. Am staying at in laws now yesterday til tomorrow when we go home. Can't wait as Euey was really unsettled last night and we hardly got any sleep, not crying, just chuntering. He's going in the lounge tonight when we go to bed. So used to him being in another room now, makes us realise why we moved him in the first place!! must be quite strange for him poor thing.

He normally sleeps 7-10pm, up for feed, bed at 11.30/12, up at 4/5ish, up at 8/8.30 but he's all over the place here despite us trying to stick to that.
Went down the pub last night with Rob and his dad and left Euan with mil and sil. Managed a whole 95 minutes!! Rob taking me out for a meal tonight on our own, first time eek!!! Must remember to chop fingers off so not texting or calling his mum every 5 minutes!!

Hope little one not too much longer now madkatz x x x

Hi KLou Yes I am hoping little one isn't much longer now. we have everything ready now just missing our little bundle.

I am sure I will be the same as you on our first outings out, worrying like mad! Hope Euan settles soon x

lizandlulu · 20/09/2011 17:59

evening all. glad you are all well.
how was the bus klou?

had violets first injections today, she screamed when the needle went in but didnt take long to calm down. shes been ok, but has been abit more sleepy than normal, shes asleep now and shes usually awake at this time of day. can be expected tho i think, she doesnt feel hot or anything.

i am going out for a couple of hours to a friends house so hope chris can keep her awake for abit later.

Iwish · 21/09/2011 03:39

I used to do this thing every day but it appears to have completely stopped since friday.... Sleeping. Omg I Havnt slept for days.

MadKatz · 21/09/2011 10:06

Hope you're OK Iwish x

KLou111 · 21/09/2011 10:34

Lol iwish don't worry, it'll get better. Euan slept for the first few days, then was up a couple of times in the night for a week or so, then last night he slept 6 til midnight, which was fab cos it was mine and robs first night out without him, so was a success!! Then up at 4.45 for feed, then 8.45 so it will get better :)

Aw Liz hope violet ok, dreading the jabs, they're 13 Oct.

Booking hol today, not sure if we should go 22 Nov or 13 Dec as I'd really like to be able to take Euan in the pool. You can here after their 3 month jabs but not sure abroad.
Bought him some cute little caps :)

How was your ds gruff?? Hope you're ok.

Sending labour vibes to you madkatz

Wonder whatever happened to eaglewings? Do you remember her?

KLou111 · 21/09/2011 10:43

SpaghettiTwirlerAndProud · 21/09/2011 18:41

Oh iwish it does get better i promise, either that or you just learn to cope with sleep deprivation :o how are you feeling? Apart from shattered. Hope everythings all ok!

klou i sometimes see eaglewings around the site, never spoken to her though so i don't know what her situation is really.

Nice to have you back gruff, (or do you prefer womb? :o ) thought you'd ditched us! I hope your DS enjoyed nursery (or was it preschool? Can't look back as i'm on my phone and i'll lose my post) how's DD doing?

Well, on monday the 3 of us went to leeds bradford airport to pick mum up, was ace to see her again! Missed her so much!

MadKatz · 21/09/2011 19:24

Thanks for the vibes KLou, nothing happening here yet though, apart from feeling really heavy and very tired.
MW 38 wk checkup tomorrow and then meeting with the community midwife manager at the hospital re birthing options.

Glad your mum's back Spaghetti, lots of catching up to do!

Just out of interest, are any of you near Gloucester or are you all miles away?

SpaghettiTwirlerAndProud · 21/09/2011 20:09

I'm not madkatz, although i wish i was, we love gloucestershire in our family! We used to stay with my uncle in stroud till he moved to cornwall. I haven't been to gloucestershire for years :( i miss it.

KLou111 · 22/09/2011 09:15

I'm still in the hospital!! I want to go home now lol.
Joshua has jaundice and a Tongue tie that is bad enough that he's really struggling to feed the poor little mite. He has been up most nights from 8pm till 7am! I have been bf and the poor thing can't suck v well so has been hungry, feel so bad not to have known. Have been cup feeding him expressed milk to get food into him but aparently the waiting time for the op Is a month!!
I am thinking about bottle feeding my expressed milk so it's easier for him and me but I REALLY want to bf and feel like I would be giving up.

madkatz it might just happen 4 u all of a sudden. Within about 6 days Joshua had gone from free and v high up to being here in the cot at the side of me!

melly I bet you are so happy your mum is back. Enjoy spending time with her. She will love seeing poppy too.

klou woohoo for the successful bus journey, I can't wait to take little man out.

liz and Gruff hope u r ok.

Sorry message is a bit all over the place lol.

lizandlulu · 22/09/2011 13:05

IWISH poor you!! and poor joshua! fancy having to wait a month if its affecting his feeding!! thats shocking. cant the midiwfe push for it to be done sooner, or health visitor or something! thats bad! i hope you get some sleep, its not nice being away from home is itSad how big was he in the end?

hiya, everyone leseSmile

lizandlulu · 22/09/2011 13:06

everyone else!!!Grin

KLou111 · 22/09/2011 16:08

That's awful iwish if its that bad it should be done straight away!!!
I'd complain as that's shocking!!!
Euan had it but he could feed as my milk just pours, but when he has to suck the hind milk he did a bit and gave up, and he had an appt within 2 weeks and did it that day!! It's heartbreaking but it literally takes seconds.
I expressed and bottled him after a couple of weeks, but all ok now so don't think u r giving up, just do what's best for u both x x

Iwish · 22/09/2011 17:33

liz he was 7lb 4oz but not sure how long etc. They don't tell us that I don't think.

klou I remember Euan had it and remembered you had it sorted pretty quickly. If only it was that simple here!

I spoke to a lady on the phone to try and get a cancellation and she came to see me! She tried to call for cancellations but there wasn't any so she said to call up and pester them every day.

I have been expressing and cup feeding but I have just tried him on a bottle of expressed and it went well. He took it really easily and is now nicely settled and full of food lol.

lizandlulu · 22/09/2011 19:15

ahh glad he has got a full tummySmile

bloody pester them to get it done!

hows euan klou?

MadKatz · 22/09/2011 19:37

Evening Ladies,

MW check up went fine today, and I've lost more weight Grin

AND

after our meeting with the Community Midwife Manager this afternoon, we can go onto the more relaxed Maternity Ward rather than the more clinical delivery suite which was the first decision made for me because of my BMI Grin Grin

MadKatz · 22/09/2011 19:39

Bugger, didn't mean to press 'post'!

Hope you manage to get a cancellation Iwish x

lizandlulu · 22/09/2011 20:35

LOST weight??? how the hell have you managed that??

the next sale is on this weekend, i usually go and can be back before chris starts work, but this time they are starting it at 7 instead of the husual 5Sad cant bloody go!

MadKatz · 22/09/2011 20:44

Liz just been eating well and healthily, makes no sense I know, but it is good. MW worked it out today - I should be between 1 and 1 1/2 stone lighter after baby arrives! Grin

lizandlulu · 22/09/2011 20:56

wow!! thats brilliant!! i am struggling to get back into my jeans. all the coffee and cake over hte last 9 weeks hasent helped, but this week i have really been trying to steer clear of cake, choc, crisps all that sort of stuff. i am determined to get back into my own jeans and tops, rather than the ones i bought while pregnant. one pair fit but are uncomfy to sit down inGrin i need to lose about half a stone to be back to pre preg weight

lizandlulu · 22/09/2011 21:05

oh ment to say i had a visit today from a nursery nurse, she did the 8 week review. i had never heard of it before and didnt have it when i had lulu, but she was lovely, no different to the health visitor.

anyway the baby was weighed and she weighs 12 lb 9Smile

MadKatz · 22/09/2011 21:35

Sounds like a good weight Smile
