Started TTC in August 2010, 1 has popped, 3 nearly there and 2 over halfway!

Hey all. It was indeed my waters. At the hospital and have been admitted due to high bp. If contractions don't start by tomorrow afternoon they are inducing me!! Eek I'm going to meet my little boy soon.

Just to let you know I'm still in hospital, contractions are horrible. Thru are all in my back. Will update when he arrives xx

Well, at my parents house at the mo. Was meant to alternate nights at mine and robs parents, but our car started overheating on the way here so I'm here and he's at his parents as was out for the day at a game fair, (which is why we're back now). I'm going there Monday now as car being fixed that morning. Anyway, mum and dad offered to have Euan for the night last night as I only got 2 hours sleep the night before as he was in with me (in his own room at home and could have been here too, but unfamiliar surroundings for him so didn't want to leave him) anyway is forgotten how noisy he is lol!!! Well, mum took him just after 11 and I woke at 7:30!! As much as I needed the sleep obviously, I am so missing my little man :(

congratulations iwish!!!!! sorry i am late in wishing you it, but been at in laws. hope it wasnt too long or painful for you and hoep you re looking after yourself and enjoying your first days with your ilttle manSmile

klou hope you get the car sorted. i bet you feel better for some solid sleep?

we was at the in laws from friday night, i went straight from school with the 2 kids and chris came later with his banger lorry cause hes racing today and i didnt want to go, so i was there on my own with in laws for a few hours.

i was shocked to get there and after being there a while, mil was in the kitchen having a fag!! not even outside or colsed doors. so i could feel myself burning up, getting more and more pissed off and slightly disgusted at her for not even saying anything to me about it, so i had to say something to her. i just said 'i am sorry to have to ask this and i know its your own house but casn you not smoke in th house whiel the baby is here please?' she just said oh, ok thats fine and stormed out for aobut 20 mins!! she opened all the doors and stayed in the kitchen for abit, so i went into her and said, ;look i dont want to fall out with you, but while she is so tiny and the bottles and milk is in the kitchen, i dont want her exposed to it' to which she replied with a smirk on her face, 'i will only say this, just be careful with what you expose her to whan you go racing'Shock 'er thats in the open air andi cant help that' and she just said 'well icant help this either' Hmm but you are right and i wont smoke in here'

i told her i just wpuldnt be able to go and and leave the baby and enjoy myslef at the wddding knowing she was smoking around her.

How rude Liz!!! I'd tell her she can't look after the baby!! My mil smokes too and I am concerned about her even breathing on Euan!!

i wont fall out with her about it cause she doesnt look after them enough to worry about it. she literally only sees them 3-4 times a year (well lulu i mean seeing as violet is only 8 weeks oldGrin)
when lulu was born we went there for new year when she was 8 weeks old, same as violet is now and they took it upon themselves not to smoke in the house, we didnt have to say anything to them, so why she thinks this is any different i dont know.
she started to cry saying she has had a shitty time of it lately and she just feels like the big bad wolf all the time. well i agree shes had it hard, but it doesnt make it better by putting my baby at risk!

Hi ladies. I'm still in the hospital so I'm on my phone.
Started losing my plug Friday night when I wrote on here and told DP when he got home about 9:30. Waters started going when I went up to the loo at about 10 ish so I put on a pad (or lots of them lol) and just rang the hospital. Got to hospital at about 11 ish and they admitted me because bp was high. I had started with what I thought was back ache just before I left home which turns out later were my contractions, had them all in my back, not nice lol. The pains started getting worse and they decided to examine me at about 3am and I was 2cm. It then took till 10pm Saturday night to get to 10cm. In that quite large time frame I had diamorphine and gas and air. I couldn't cope with those and was so upset with myself but ended up with a spinal block something (which started off as an epidural but went wrong) that wore off after about 40 mins. They then said they would try epidural again but had to wait an hour for doctor so had to have more diamorphine while I was waiting.
Started to push at about 10;45 and was still pushing at 12:00. They needed to discuss options because my waters had gone over 24 hours before and no luck. They let me try a little longer but he still didn't come so they decided they would give me top up of epidural and take me to theatre to try suction and then forfeit delivery. If non of those worked it was time for a section. I was so upset and spent a lot of time in tears but went it and he was delivered with the aid of the suction only at 2:41am. He was back to back which was apparently why it was so difficult. I'm currently staying in because of high bp, my heart rate was high during labour, waters broke more than 24 hours before birth and because he has only managed 1 feed on the breast up to now (he was fed with syringe before)
He is absolutely gorgeous and me and DP just love him so much already. Our parents and nans came up yesterday and are in love with him.

Ah iwish, sounds like u have both taken to parenthood like a duck to water :)
Sorry it wasn't very straightforward, but as long as u are all well, and hopefully not too much pain, u can look forward from here :)
Hope Joshy being good for you. Enjoy every second, it goes too quick!!! Big hugs to you all and congrats again x x

BORED!!!! i wish i had the chance to be boredGrin honestly, i know people keep saying it, but make the most of the chance to be bored, cause in the next few weeks your life will change (for the better i know) but you will have this little person reliant on you for the next 18 ish years!!!! Iwish - congratulations!!! So pleased that you're both okay - sorry that it took longer than you would have hoped. DS was back to back - the contractions are much worse than normal ones.

madkatz the waiting at this stage seems so long... but you'll be cuddling your lovely bundle before very many days are out.

No chance here to get bored. DS starts preschool tomorrow!!! V scary.
