you will be wishing you was bored when the baby comesGrin

re the pain, i would think it was the baby kicking/thumping your cervix? have you had it any more?

and the blanket i mean is just a light one with velcro straps to attatch it to the handle. i bought one abit like this from chatsworth show www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Animal-Style-Baby-Wrap-/330609710186?pt=UK_Baby_NurseryBedding_RL&hash=item4cf9dfd46a but nicer and cost me more!!! got it in 6-12 months to see her through winter when we go racing

KLou111 · 09/09/2011 16:17

Yeah we always use it flat in the back at the mo, he falls asleep most of time time, and it saves us putting it up and down when putting him on the frame. What do you mean can only use rain cover for big part of the pram? Ours fits both ways. I thought it was only for use for the 'pushchair' but used it in pram mode the other day as there are these knobbly bits on the foot end of the matrix where you put the elastic ties :)

Bet you just want your little fella here now. It is boring isn't it?

Loving mummyhood, it's seriously the best thing ever. Admittedly knackering at times, but totally worth it!
Rob gave me a lie in this morning, and did the morning feed :) I got up in the night at 3:30ish, and a lot came out the other side into my breast shell, so Rob gave him that this morning, and Rob got me up at 9:30 :) Very nice, first lie in since he arrived lol.

It was our 4th wedding anniversary/14 year anniversary yesterday, and Euan is that good, we went to the beach, out for lunch, came home later on, bathed him, changed him, then went out for dinner :) He's so good.
Felt really bad earlier though, I was changing his nappy, and I bent down for a second to pick his bum cream up off the bottom shelf, stood back up and he'd weed all in his face and hair!! I felt such a bad mummy for not putting anything over his winky like I always do :( (but I did at the same time have a little chuckle ) Poor little man

Flaming internet went off so took ages to post that lol! and have x-posted!
No don't take hood off, our back windows are blacked out but we leave the hood on so the sun doesn't blind him as it still comes through

No liz havnt had the pain again. Just last night, v strange.
That's a lovely blanket too! Looks like it'll keep her cosy and warm :)
Haha yeh I will be wishing I was bored when he's here, cant wait tho.

Ours only fits the pram part and not with the matrix on, I was asking the people we bought the pram off, they had best be right after I've bought this one lol.. The cover I have got literally just covers the matrix, not the rest of the pram.
Awww bless him, they always have a habit of weeing as soon as you take their nappies off, poor little think weeing in his face tho.
He sounds like he is so good, I hope my little man is so good - keeping my fingers crossed Grin.

Just got my reminder through for my car tax, £245! Gulp.

KLou111 · 09/09/2011 17:17

hmmmmm Sounds strange Iwish as our rain cover fits the matrix and the 'pushchair' seat when he can go in that. Even though the instructions say it can only fit the 'pushchair', it fits the matrix too :)

Bloody car tax, Rob only did his yesterday lol! He's been driving around for the last year with no tax disc as they never bloody sent him one when he did it online, and they wanted another £20 for a duplicate!!! Tossers! I said it would be sods law he got caught on the way to the hospital when I was in labour!

Iwish · 09/09/2011 17:36

Tis very strange isn't it. I'll be trying it when we have the pram part here. We only have the carseat as DPs mum still has the pram part.

It's ridiculous what it costs. Even worse that the check gist wanted you to pay £20 for a duplicate! Think I'll get mine from the post office again lol.

Well I didn't get out of bed till 10:45 and I'm already really tired. My friend is coming up tonight so she had best hurry up before I fall asleep!

What are you all doing this weekend?

SpaghettiTwirlerAndProud · 09/09/2011 17:37

I'm just glad we have an isofix base for our carseat! No fannying around with seatbelts for us, just click the seat in and go :o

Sorry haven't been on for a few days, poppy has been immensly clingy, i've hardly been able to put her down!

liz thursday is best for me as poppy has got her 2nd jabs on monday.

iwish your poor feet! No wonder you couldn't wait to put them up! You should arm yourself with plenty of books, dvds and snacks to entertain yourself! I don't know what that pain could be though. Not long left now though! :)

SpaghettiTwirlerAndProud · 09/09/2011 17:44

I know a couple of people who did their car tax online and they never turned up! Doing it online obviously isn't as efficient as going via the post office!

Iwish · 09/09/2011 17:56

Welcome back melly, I wondered where you had gone. we would love an issofix base but I don't think they make one for this one yet. I looked all over the Internet when we got the pram to see. DPs, my mums and dps mums car all have issofix. Mine doesn't tho.

My feet are horrid aren't they! They are swollen today and ive only been to the shop. Not quite as bad as that pic tho.

I'm currently sat in the living room on my ball to try and get comfy, can't seem to stay comfy sat on the sofa any more.

Iwish · 09/09/2011 18:27

Woohoo got the car seat in DPs car!! He's only been in from work 5 minutes and I made him go out and try it. Happy bunny now Grin

lizandlulu · 09/09/2011 18:56

thursday it is then spaghetti!! i will message you my mobile number, just in case, where shall we meet? i was thinking cosat in marshalls yard? i know where that is and can park easilly

iwish i used to sit on the floor leaning on the sofa when i was having lulu

SpaghettiTwirlerAndProud · 09/09/2011 19:00

Your car doesn't have to have isofix fittings iwish, our pug didnt, we just strapped the base in really tightly with the seatbelt. Would be good if they made them so they fit all carseats though. Glad you managed to get the seat fitted eventually!

SpaghettiTwirlerAndProud · 09/09/2011 19:06

Ok liz but is it ok if we go to this other coffee shop (emmalooos) instead of costa? It's really nice and about half the price of costa and just over the road. They do a fabulous chocolate fudge cake :o

KLou111 · 09/09/2011 19:14

Magic words chocolate fudge cake, I'd be there like a shot :)

OP posts:
SpaghettiTwirlerAndProud · 09/09/2011 20:05

klou it's just £2 a slice, and they don't give you a crappy skinny piece either :o

Iwish · 09/09/2011 22:32

Mmm I could just eat some chocolate cake. Grin

Me and my friend have just had a big pizza, it was yummy! Fancy some ice-cream or something now tho. I'm making a curry for some other friends tomorrow, having a busy weekend because we ate out and about on Sunday too!

lizandlulu · 09/09/2011 23:02

yes course spaghetti just meet outside costa then. it feels really odd that i am going to meet youGrin

SpaghettiTwirlerAndProud · 10/09/2011 08:29

I know Shock i'm not a dirty old man though I promise :o Wink

SpaghettiTwirlerAndProud · 10/09/2011 18:03

An update on the FIL situation. Simons mum managed to get hold of the spare key to his dads car and she searched it. Guess what she found? Leaflets! Leaflets on. . . . . Caravan storage! Bit convenient seeing as his caravan has been 'stolen' Hmm

Iwish · 10/09/2011 20:37

Omg I bet it's in storage somewhere! Shame you can't find out where..

Just cooked curry for our friends. It was yummy! Had cheesecake and ice cream for afters too Grin

SpaghettiTwirlerAndProud · 10/09/2011 20:48

Oooh i love curry, haven't had one for aaaaaaages! Tbh iwish, everyone reckons he's moved it into storage. He kept moving things out of the house and into the caravan, including all of simons mums champagne, all 500 pounds worth of it has gone :( Angry and then it just vanishes without a trace.

Iwish · 10/09/2011 21:36

It does sound v v strange melly. Shame you can't get someone to follow him and find out what he's really up to. can't believe he would have the cheek to accuse you of stealing it tho, cheeky swine!!

I made the curry myself!! From scratch too! It is the only thing I can cook tho Grin

lizandlulu · 11/09/2011 08:56

spaghetti he sounds like abit of a loon!!!

what you all doing today? we went racing last night, both kids stil asleep, violet has woke every 3 hours tho since we got homeHmm thats not ment to happen!!! although she was asleep most of the day and night and i did really expect her to wake in the night and stay awake, so cant complain really.
we are going to truckfest. its at our showground and the ice road truckers are thereHmm am i supposed to get excited about that??Grin

KLou111 · 11/09/2011 13:44

ha ha Liz ice road f*@kers Rob calls it ha ha! We do watch it sometimes though, think they are mental! Have fun

We had curry too last night, only a jar one though. Had a proper one last week, and thankfully Euan didn't suffer (I only have a korma though, I'm not as brave as Rob who has the hottest one on the menu, one extreme to the other! Hence when I make it I make 2, 1 mild, 1 hot, and freeze half of each)

Having a lazy weekend watching the Rugby and F1. Nipped out yesterday to get a few bits. Euan been a bit screamy over the last couple of days, very odd, he's never like that. He seems to be wanting to feed more often a couple of times in the day, so not sure if he's having another growth spurt?!?! He was 4 weeks old yesterday, where does the time go??

melly your FIL is a definite loony tune!!

Just a quick one for liz and Melly and it's a long shot. You're up Lincolnshire way if I remember rightly. Do you know a village called Holbeach St Marks near Spalding? We're looking at moving (again!) and we want to be a bit closer to the Midlands (within 2 hours). Rob used to live in Welby near Grantham when he was younger, but there are no houses for sale there that we like, but we've seen one online in Holbeach St Marks. If you do know it, is it a nice village? It looks nice, it had a school and pub (a must!).
It's not perfect timing as we could do with moving Summer next year really as our mortgage is out of it's fixed term, if we go now, it's going to cost us almost £2000 to get out of it, which isn't bad if it's the right house, but would rather not pay it.

Had a fab sleep last night. Rob did the night shift, I fed little man at midnight, and he didn't wake up til 4:45, then woke up at 9:45, which is perfect as we were told not to go more than 5 hours max when he was born, not sure what is recommended now. Fingers crossed we may go through the night soon lol!!
