awww Thanks liz. As suspected it was pretty bad last night but I'm doing absolutely nothing until 5:30pm today so am putting my feet up now. I have been to the midwife today and little ones heart rate is ok and so is my bp, phew!
No havnt dropped yet, baby is still freely floating around in there too Hmm
12 till 5 is good. Is she gradually getting better each night?
Lol at telling lulu they are in the cupboard. She will soon forget about them.

klou glad your little man is ok and your night with him wasn't too bad. He is so brave. What kind of lovely clothes have you bought him?

Iwish · 07/09/2011 13:15

just put up my 36 week bump pic taken yesterday at 36+1. also put up a pic of one of my horrible swollen feet.

KLou111 · 07/09/2011 13:32

Ahhhh, lovely bump iwish BLOODY HELL at the feet!!!
Quite, agree you should do nothing and put your feet up all day :) Glad BP and heartrate all OK.

Got 6 little long sleeve tops, 2 pairs jogging bottoms, little navy chinos, some beige trousers and 2 soft dungaree suit things.

Ordered some more washable nappies too, this time in light blue as they were cheaper than the white for some reason. Have just put them all in the wash, and the white ones have gone blue ha ha ha!!!

HV just been and my little chubby checker is 9lb 8.5oz!!! He's put on 13oz in the last 7 days!! He only put on 2.5oz the week before so I think he more than made up for it.
At this rate, I'll have to send his new clothes back and get him 3-6!!

They are awful aren't they klou! they aren't as bad today because I've literally only been down to see the midwife less than 5 mins away then strait back home.
Grin at the White nappies turning blue!! I put some of little mans new stuff white in the wash which were edged with blue so I put one of them colour catchers in but still other stuff ended up blue!
All the little outfits you have got sound so lovely! He will be a very well dressed little man :)
Wow 13oz. You must be doing something right! How is his Tongue now? Not bothering him now?

We are going to a tour around the hospital tonight finally. Quite excited.

lizandlulu · 07/09/2011 19:36

ohh iwish you look lovely!! glad everythings ok.

klou thats good about the weight gain, and the nappiesGrin hope his tounge is ok?

i have ordered my babs 2 cute dresses from boden. i got a catalouge with 15% off, so went to order it online and the offer was 20% off. i would say its a bargain but its so bloody expensive in the first plave it should be cheaper! lovely stuff tho.

did i tell you i am having violet christened on the 6th of nov? i have ordered the invitations today off ebay, proper printed ones with her photo. £13 for 30 which i though was dead cheaop for how lovely they are (i hope)!

Iwish · 07/09/2011 19:53

liz I feel like a massive elephant lol!
No you didn't tell us about the christening, how exciting! Are you using one of the pics you had taken by the photographer? £13 is really good! I think I will try eBay when we have little man christened.

Just been for our hospital tour. Not too exciting but we did see 2 newborn babies and they were just gorgeous. I just can't wait to meet my little man now!!

lizandlulu · 07/09/2011 21:15

yes am using one shot of her asleep from the side. these are the people i have got them from www.ebay.co.uk/itm/140556859159?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

so there was no people screaming in labour then?Grin

Iwish · 07/09/2011 21:38

Oooh they look lovely! I never would have thought of eBay for things like that.

Nope no screamers while I was there, even the lady giving the tour said it was v quiet. Not the biggest or most modern place but never mind. Hope I get a room of my own after delivery! There aren't that many single rooms then there are 2 wards with 6/8 beds in.

lizandlulu · 07/09/2011 22:35

i expected my own room after c section but didnt get one. was qiute disappointed but my own fault for thinking i would be so lucky!

and to your question is violet getting better every night, not really any better but not any worse either. she seems to be in the pattern of awake in the evenings between 7-8 until 11-12 and sleeping till 4-5 and again till 7-8. shes flaked out now so going to go to bed and see what time she wakes in the night.

lizandlulu · 08/09/2011 17:56

spaghetti how are you fixed for meeting up next week? monday or thursday is good for meSmile

Iwish · 08/09/2011 19:12

liz Glad she is getting better/not worse lol.

Have any of you tried raspberry leaf tea? My friend gave me some but not sure about drinking it. Drank half a cup lol.

MadKatz · 08/09/2011 20:11

Iwish I am going to drink raspberry leaf but have been advised not to start it before 37 wks.

Gorgeous invites Liz

Iwish · 08/09/2011 20:42

I kind of freaked myself out about it madkatz (google is evil) apparently you shouldn't take it if you have high bp and mine has been up the last few weeks. It doesn't say that on the packet tho...

lizandlulu · 08/09/2011 21:06

i didnt have the tea but did buy the tablets. didnt take them thoGrin i was going to wait till 38 weeks and she arrived by then so didnt get the chance.
iwish i wouldnt take them until you have spoken to your midwife, see what she says about the bp

Iwish · 08/09/2011 21:15

Good idea liz. Im seeing the midwife next Wednesday so will ask her then.

Been playing with the car seat in DPs car tonight just to make me feel better. Omg how hard is it to fit a car seat!!??

Been v snotty and bunged up for the last 4/5 nights, it's doing my head in now!! Feel like I can't breathe sometimes at night with baby being right up in my ribs too!

lizandlulu · 08/09/2011 21:19

once you do the seat a few times its not hard, just time consuming when you have been used to getting in an going.

have you got some vicks?

Iwish · 08/09/2011 21:30

No I don't have anything like that. Only useless things that you can't take when pregnant. It's just v strange that it cones at night time but isn't there during the day.

I hope so, going to have to do it every day to get the hang of it lol Grin.
Just ordered a raincover for it too, don't want little man getting rained on.

lizandlulu · 08/09/2011 22:25

i never had a raincover for the car seat, but am going to get one. this car seat fixes to the pushchair so its handy when i am picking lulu up from school and need to be quick, but not so good if it rains! also want to get one of them blankets that fix to the car seat so she cant kick it off.

Iwish · 08/09/2011 23:02

Yeh thats what our car seat does too. You put it in the car or on the pram frame and you can lie it down into a flat carry cot position too. Its fab. The only problem Is that it's quite heavy. And the raincover costs a fortune because it works in both positions - £26.99 it just cost me!!
Is it like a footmuff the blanket you are talking about?

Iwish · 09/09/2011 12:56

I have a question for you ladies...
I was lay in bed last night and got a v sharp pain which seemed to come up through my cervix then pain into my belly from below my bump to about the middle of my bump. It only lasted about 10-20 seconds. but then I woke up about a hour later with what felt like quite sore period pains in the bottom of my back (the type that feel warm if that makes sense) I got up out of bed and it went away.
Do you think that could have been baby dropping? I've felt nothing at all this morning and he has been wriggling as normal.

KLou111 · 09/09/2011 13:52

Car seat does get easier Iwish, think you got the Matrix Light, the same as us :) We fit it within seconds now, but we had to use it upright a few weeks ago when DH's parents were here, as we all went out in the same car, and it took us half hour to work it out! But again, once you've done it a couple of times, it's easy. We got a rain cover free with ours, bloody fabulous. Went to watch the Rugby down in town the other day and it was chucking it down, but our little man was bone dry and totally oblivious!
Not sure about the pain you've been having TBH.
Liz sent me her raspberry leaf tablets. Started taking them at 37 weeks. I would ask the MW though due to your BP. Not sure if they worked or not, as obviously first baby, but I will say I started labour the day after his due date, and the pushing part was easier than I thought it would be, even though I was bloody knackered when I started at 3:30am! I also used my gum shield thingy which I think helped a lot.

OP posts:
Iwish · 09/09/2011 14:48

Yeh we have the matrix light klou. We were trying to fit it sat up rather than lay flat but my car is so tiny (I drive a sporty Clio lol) that if I put it in the back someone will be v squished in the back lol. DPs Isnt much better and he drives an estate!
So do you always use it in lay flat position?
It looks simple to fit both ways, it's just doing it in such a small space haha.
We got a rain cover free but only for when he's in the big part of the pram. Useless for strait away.
How are you feeling today? Settling into mummyhood?
I'm on day 7 off work now and it's rather boring.

Iwish · 09/09/2011 15:09

Throwing a strop now! Tried to put carseat in my car again and I can't do it :(
Do you take the hood off to put it in the car klou?
