Yeh I'm v happy they are keeping an eye on me. Bp was high again when I first went in but after a while it went back to a normal rate. They want me to go back on Wednesday as when it was high it was higher than it has been. I asked what happens if it keeps being high and they said probably induction Confused. Best get the rest of my hospital bag packed!!

I'm starving!!! I've had 3 toast, pasta and sauce, an apple, a full box of raspberries and 2 tubes of smarties!! What is going on??

Lol at the talking liz! wait till violet is talking, you will never get a word in! Grin

That looks like a good thing for the pram. Is it instead of a basket under the pram?

Iwish · 05/09/2011 17:20

Having a small panic attack... Tell me I have enough with 6 newborn sleepsuits... I have about 12 0-3 sleepsuits and nothing for 3-6. Please tell me I don't need to panic about having nothing in 3-6!

KLou111 · 05/09/2011 17:51

Lol Liz guess you're happy about the school thing!! You'll miss her I bet!
We've got a little boy next door who doesn't shut up (in the politest of ways), it gets to a point sometimes where he just talks at you just to talk!! Lovely lad though!
That pram thing looks very handy :)

Sorry about your BP iwish and that you're swelling still quite bad :(
The food thing doesn't stop afterwards either lol!! I'm still eating like a pig Grin but Euan takes a lot of it a bag of jelly babies after finishing off a mars bar and a bag of american hard gums, oh and a tube of fruity mentos LMAO
Don't worry about 3-6 just yet, Euan was a big baby, and only just growing out of newborn (first size), and that's because he's long and they have 'feet' in his sleepsuits, other stuff still fits. Also think it's because he's in washable nappies as they are quite a bit bulkier than disposables. Have just ordered more 0-3, but the stuff I've got in that size already is still slightly too big, so need something in the middle!!
Stop panicking! You'll be absolutely fine. I didn't need half the stuff I took! Just don't forget the sweets!!

that wasn't meant to come up in blue or as a link lol!!

OP posts:
KLou111 · 05/09/2011 17:57

and I wasn't meant to finish either!!!!

Been to the docs today, am officially back on the pill :) Rob and I have been at it (carefully) a few times now Grin, but now back to normal, thought I'd better get that sorted. My appointment was October 13th for my PN check, bit too far away!!

Also asked the docs when is the earliest we can take the little one on hol. She said as long as we don't go anywhere 'tropical' we can go now as Euan is getting a lot of immunity from my milk. Only want to go to the Canaries or somewhere, just need some sodding sun! It's my birthday 1st November, so we're looking to go for then :)
Have told Rob we need another pram though cos I assume they may not be too careful with ours on the plane!! He just said, that's what insurance is for!!

Iwish · 05/09/2011 19:58

Lol klou at the naughty food!! I could just eat some sweets right now....
Yeh bp and swelling is crap. Hope it sorts itself out!
It's the lack of newborn that bothered me, I'm guessing 6 of them isn't quite enough. Oh well, excuse for a shopping trip when he arrives. Grin
wow thinking of holidays already!! Wish we could afford one lol! Good idea with the new pram tho, they are usually pretty rough with them aren't they.
Still no sex in our house!! Have a feeling there won't be much afterwards haha.

KLou111 · 05/09/2011 20:15

I only had 6 newborn vests and sleepsuits Iwish and found them plenty enough. Only time I found I ran out was in hospital as they kept me in. Had some 0-3 with me though and they did OK :)

OP posts:
KLou111 · 05/09/2011 20:16

Can't wait for a holiday, Rob's treating me for my birthday, and we haven't had a holiday for a year Grin

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 05/09/2011 20:21

iwish dont panic!!!Grin i would get more newborn or 0-3 tho, you dont want to have to worry about doing a load of washing as soon as you get through the door from hospital.

klou i would def look for a cheap pram or buggy for hol. its bad enough them braking one but to break your best one would break my heart! i got one for when we go in october, for the sake of £50 ish quid its not worht the risk i dont think.

i have been today to get the passport done for her. 2nd time of going and its still not right. i did that check and send thing, first time the pic wasnt right, then the date isnt right on the photo, doesnt match the form and they wont sodding accept it. what does it bloody matter, she is hardly going to be a terrorist at 6 weeks old is she!!

oh and we have DTD too. made sure we was extra carefull thoGrin

(reminds me, i must book in docs for 8 week check)

Iwish · 05/09/2011 21:39

Maybe I will get some more liz I'm going shopping with mum tomorrow so perfect excuse.
Can't believe they are so arsey about a passport for a 6 week old!! What do they think she is going to do!!

Awww klou that's v sweet of him. We havnt been away for 2 years. Seems like such a long time.
I have packed 3 newborn sleepsuits and 3 vests and 3 0-3 sleepsuits and 3 vests in my hospital bag. Do u think that'll be enough?

Does it feel strange dtd after having baby?

lizandlulu · 05/09/2011 22:00

i think that will be enough, as long as everything goes to plan and you arent in long, but if you do have to stay longer than expected then people can always bring you more in.

DTD is different for me as my 'area' didnt have to be put through childbirth, so for me it wasnt much different. but when i DTD after having lulu it felt really odd and like i didnt want to damage it any more than it already was if you see what i mean. i remember having to take it really sow and being very nervous about it.

SpaghettiTwirlerAndProud · 05/09/2011 22:09

Think i have about 10 newborn sleepsuits, although that's because im a lazy cow i don't do the washing as often as i should :o the 0-3 still half drown poppy, she looks like she has flippers on her feet :o don't worry about 3-6 yet though lol! Hope the bp and the swelling clears up soon!

klou euan is just gorgeous, it looks like bella is rather protective of him! So Envy that you had a holiday last year. My last holiday was october 09! I'd love a holiday in the sun :( , i'd love any kind of holiday tbh though!

liz i'm jealous of you too lol! Do you think you'll miss lulu when she goes to school tomorrow?

My nephew started school today bless him :) he's gone where me and my sister went!

Well we bathed poppy tonite, first time since wednesday. She definately remembers what happened, she didn't make a fuss, but she wasn't happy and didn't enjoy it like she usually does. She also didn't attempt to drink the water at all! She used to love bathtime :(

lizandlulu · 06/09/2011 07:35

she will soon get into it spaghetti she wont remember it and will start to enjoy herself againSmile lulu used to scream when i put her in the bath every tiem, but this one loves it! she splashes about and doesnt murmer.

and miss lulu?? no. feel like i have lost something all day?? yepGrin

KLou111 · 06/09/2011 08:23

Bad bad mummy Liz lol!! Bet you've enjoyed the peace and quiet!! Bless her, you'd worry if she was quiet :)

Iwish we DTD when Euan was 12 days old. We're not sex crazed or anything lol, but felt we had to get back to some sort or normality in our relationship, as I didn't want to be one of these couples where having a baby changes you completely to a point where you don't really have a normal relationship IYSWIM??
We did wait until my stitches had healed, and used a LOT of lube. The outside didn't hurt, where my stiches were, but the graze inside was uncomfy. Let's just say Rob got more pleasure out of it than me Wink But ever since then, it's been fine. I did ask Rob however if it felt any different for him (ie bigger LMAO) but he said no, but it was weird cos the last time he looked down there, there was a head sticking out of it ha ha ha!

Melly I'm sure Poppy will get there in the end with the whole bath thing. Poor little sweetheart :(
We went on hol last year as we knew it would be our last one before we properly started trying for a baby. Turns out the month after we got back, I fell pregnant, so good timing there!! It was a piss up and a half (I don't normally drink a lot, but I made the most of it!!)
Bella loves Euan to bits, she wants to be near him all the time, but she's still so bouncy, and always bloody filthy which drives me insane, and I even told Rob the other night I wish we hadn't got her [embarrassed face] He had a go at me and said you can't just drop her and ignore her now Euan's here, she's just a puppy still, so she'll calm down. I know that, but was just hoping she would have calmed down by now.
Let's just say it's a good job we're both at home, as she'd probably spend most of the time in the kitchen!
Bali on the other hand is the same old thing, different day. He's so easy, sniffs the baby, and gets on with his day lol!

Oh, got Euans hospital appt this morning at 9:45 for his tongue. Fingers crossed they will agree to do it. I've been looking at pictures on the internet and apparently it looks as though his is quite bad, as it's nearer the end of his tongue :(
Don't want my little boy in pain, but we want it sorted.

OP posts:
SpaghettiTwirlerAndProud · 06/09/2011 09:25

klou good luck at the hospital! I hope it goes ok if they decide to do it! Oh btw you know that blue teddy bear balloon you have on your fb pics? I have it in pink :o .

When we first DTD poppy was 3 weeks, simon said i was really tight (sorry if tmi :o) and he ended up having a massive orgasm (again, sorry if tmi!)!

liz i can't believe it! It was only on saturday when i saw a woman with one of those buggy buddys and i thought "blimey thats a good idea i wonder where she got it?" think i might just have to get one, i need somewhere to store all my crap and a drink and snacks! Hope you enjoy your lulu free time lol you meanie mummy :o (joking, you're not that mean :o i hope. . . .)

KLou111 · 06/09/2011 10:31

Just a quickie, Euan has been seen as is booked in to have his little op at 1. Doc said he shouldn't feel it as no nerves. Can't believe my little baby having an op. :(

OP posts:
SpaghettiTwirlerAndProud · 06/09/2011 11:05

Oh bless him :( i hope it goes well!

KLou111 · 06/09/2011 14:19

All done. What a brave little soldier. Had a little blood but fed straight after and so much better latch wise, and he sucked!!! [Relieved face] will check back later as still in hospital.

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 06/09/2011 16:21

ah what a relief klou i am glad it wasnt as bad as you expected. does he have to stay in? or can he come home?

Iwish · 06/09/2011 19:07

Oh that's a relief klou. Glad it went ok and he is feeding well. Done so quickly too. Big cuddles to your brave little man :)
You are mad having sex after 12 days lol. I think I have sealed up now lol! Grin.

melly I'm sure poppy will get used to her baths again soon. 3 weeks sounds like a good time frame lol!

liz how was your day without lulu? How was violet?

Well I bought a few more newborn things to put my mind at rest. Feel a bit better knowing he won't run out hehe. Also bought myself some new bras, sleep bras, nighties and a few strappy tops. Just need some pants now to lounge around in.
Hospital bag almost done yey!

lizandlulu · 06/09/2011 19:47

how many weeks do you have left iwish?

i have spent the day doing jobs, housework and sorting out lulu's crap. she is such a hoarder and wont throw out tiny bits of paper. i had enough and cleared a load out. oh and went to the supermarket.

violet on the other hand was asleep most of the day, awake from half 4 to half 7, and gone back to sleep. i feel i am in for a bad night!

Iwish · 06/09/2011 20:08

Just under 4 weeks. I'm 36+1 today. Hope he is a little earlier tho because I'm getting a little fed up. The shopping with my mum today has resulted in v painful SPD. Going to have a crappy night I think. Oh well.

Will she notice that you have thrown it out? Hmmm yeh she may be awake tonight. How long does she usually spend awake during the day?

lizandlulu · 07/09/2011 07:44

morning.

iwish she will notice that her stuff has gone but i told her that i had put it in her cupboard in the conservatory. sounds harsh i know but honeslty if i didnt do it the house would just be full of boxes and boxes of half finished pictures and pieces of paper with scribbles on them.

and violet ended up being awake from about 8.30 to 12 so not too bad, she then slept till 5 and is still asleep now, but got to wake her in a min to get her fed and changed before the school run.

hows your pain today? i feel so bad for you, as if its not hard enough being pregnant, you have to put up with thatSad have you dropped at all? or changed shape?

KLou111 · 07/09/2011 08:15

Morning :)

Didn't have to stay in Liz just had to stay until he'd fed and the doc could get around, so out by 3:15pm :)

Thought we were going to have a restless night as he started playing up and crying when we got home whenever he was left on his own for a few minutes in his chair (which he's never usually bothered about), but think his tongue may have started hurting him a bit as it was a bit blood red, but not bleeding.
It was a really quick procedure. I had a few tears, as it was awful watching my little bubs go through it :( He sat on my lap with a pillow under his head, the nurse gave him sugar syrup in a syringe and held his head, doc put 2 fingers in his mouth under his tongue, either side of the tie, and snip, done! Seconds!! Bit of blood and he screamed (Euan, not the doc!), bit more sugar syrup, and minutes later he was feeding!
He had a normal night, bit restless for an hour after his night feed, but Rob sorted him, and plugged the electric heater in and it went a bit cold last night, and he had another 4 hours, happy days :)

Lol about you having a clear out Liz. I suppose it's like us when we clear a wardrobe, and chuck clothes etc. You just have to be ruthless!
Glad Violet had a good night :)

Sorry your SPD playing up Iwish, not long for you now though Grin can't believe how quick it all going!!
