Hi all
Klou - so happy you're happy and enjoying mummy-dom - it is great. Sorry you're still sore though - have you tried lavender oil and tea tree oil in your bath water?
I'm enjoying life with two, although after taking DS to the park where he pooed (massively) in his pants and I had to rinse them out when I got home I reserve the right to moan a bit... Toilet training is going well for wees but badly for poos. Which, let's face it, is the least appealing part of nappy changing... DD is a love - still gaining weight (though I haven't weighed her but I can see her filling out and growing). She's up a couple of times at night but feeds are getting shorter and she's pretty good at going back to sleep afterwards. DH on the other hand is being a total PITA. He hurt himself playing football last week and then got bitten by a bug at the weekend. He reacts badly to insect bites and his foot swelled up. Now I am genuinely sympathetic but he is such a complete grouch when he's injured and he expects me to run around after him to the exclusion of everything else. I bathed the fecking foot with savlon (and feet turn my stomach at the best of times), got him ice for it, got him drinks/remote controls, spent all day running back and forward to the loo with DS and feeding DD. He spent all day snapping at me and the kids and ignoring my advice about what to do (go see the minor injuries people and get some antihistamines, take pain killers etc). And then when he finally caved the nurse at minor injuries told him exactly what I said. He was then a nightmare when i was trying to put DS to bed and stropped off to bed on his own at 8pm. He still wasn't talking to me this morning as apparently 'I made yesterday really difficult for him'. Thank god he's at work or we would have had the mother and father of all rows.
Melly sorry about your run of bad luck. The washing machine thing is a nightmare. Hope you find a car somewhere nearby next time!
Iwish the SPD is vile isn't it? Mine has got a lot better since having had DD, especially the pain at the front. I'm still having hip pain though so might go back to my physio to find out if there's anything I can do to make it better.
Madkatz - glad all was well with baby - it must have been terrifying. Big hugs.
gotta go - someone needs a feed.
