I go to a few groups iwish, i go to babycafe which is a breastfeeding group thing, and 3 others, 2 are young parent groups and one is ABC, that ones tomorrow and we're doing hand and foot prints :) are you planning on going to any when your little mans here? RE hiccups, you just know, it feels exactly like somebody small in your belly hiccuping :o poppy never used to get them until the last few weeks. Now she has them all the time Hmm

klou do you like sour sweets and fruit pastilles? Those new sour pastilles are lush i can't stop eating them lol!

Sounds like you had a good night with violet last night then liz! Hope she's been good for you today and that chris is being helpful! What does lulu think of her now? Is she getting used to having her around?

KLou111 · 28/07/2011 17:22

Love sour melly but don't find the pastilles sour tbh :)

Well been to mw and measuring 35cm, the same as 2 weeks ago at 36 weeks and also thinks more likely back to back. So got growth scan tmrw or early next week whenever they can get me in. Be nice to see little one again :) MW also thinks is a girl along with everyone else so only me thinking boy now lol!

KLou111 · 28/07/2011 17:31

Oh, also hired a tens machine from MW, was only £5, bargain, as they got donated some money from a new mum so they bought a load to be able to hire one per MW. I'm the first to use this one too :)

Melly20MummyToPoppy · 28/07/2011 18:11

I think it's a boy klou i think your 4D scan pictures look boyish if you see what i mean? That's good about the TENS machine! At least it's new so you know it should work fine.

Iwish · 28/07/2011 18:57

Hey lovelies.

Yeh melly I would love to go to some groups and classes with my little man. Will hopefully be able to find some round here. awww that will be lovely doing hand and foot prints! Eek can't wait till October!

klou I think girl for you but not 100% sure hehe. Why does your MW think girl?
And I am soooo jealous of your sweeties still! I had sone fruit pastilles today and it just wasn't enough!

Question for you ladies.... For the past couple of days I've had period type pain v low down, the kind that just feels 'warm'. I can barely feel it because its that light but have just noticed it a couple of times. Is it normal?

Melly20MummyToPoppy · 28/07/2011 19:13

Yes it's normal iwish, as you get further on you'll notice they'll get stronger and more noticeable.

Iwish · 28/07/2011 19:26

Oh fab lol! What is it? Just the uterus stretching from the weight of my little man?

Well I'm currently ironing baby gros lol!!

Melly20MummyToPoppy · 28/07/2011 19:42

Yeah something like that lol, not exactly sure what it is, but it is definately normal! I don't have the patience for ironing let alone doing baby clothes :o i do the bare minimum of ironing!

Iwish · 28/07/2011 20:48

I don't normally like ironing at all but strangely I liked doing baby's stuff Hmm
I have just given up with a fair few things left to do. Think I will hide them away till I next have a burst of energy.

I'm off work tomorrow Grin woohoo!! I'm on 4 day weeks now until I finish (apart from 1 week). Going shopping with my mum and nan tomorrow. Going to spend a fortune!

Melly20MummyToPoppy · 28/07/2011 21:29

Oooh nice, is it baby shopping you're doing? Best kind of shopping there is! :o

Was chatting to my mum on skype on tuesday as she's in Seattle for a month, she was saying she was going to Forks yesterday, the place where the Twilight books and movies are set. I wonder if she'll see a vampire :o

Iwish · 28/07/2011 21:55

Yeh baby shopping!! I'm SOOOOO excited lol. Love baby shopping it's ace isn't it.

Oooh I want to go where your mum is!! Lol yeh she might find herself a vampire or a werewolf Grin. How exciting!

Little man is being a wriggler. I love it when he's wriggling around. He has his own little routine now. He wakes up between 8 and 9am and is wriggling on and off all day till between 9:30 and 10:30.

Melly20MummyToPoppy · 29/07/2011 05:25

My sister has asked my mum if she'll bring her back a t-shirt that says 'I have OCD (Obsessive Cullen Disorder) :o

Oh baby shopping is so exciting! And the next bit is too, when you're putting everything in away drawers and hanging things in the wardrobe (if you have one, that is).

Poppy used to have a routine too, i'd get worried if she didnt stick to it like glue :o

HelenMumsnet · 29/07/2011 10:43

Hello. We're going to move this thread to Antenatal Clubs now as that's where it kinda belongs

KLou111 · 29/07/2011 11:05

Ok but we've not all popped yet, and some not due til October :(

OP posts:
KLou111 · 29/07/2011 11:08

I get that pain iwish been really strong the last few days too. Enjoy your shopping! :)

Mw thinks is a girl cos I am small and heartbeat rhythm but we'll see :) Other mw said girl too lol

OP posts:
Melly20MummyToPoppy · 29/07/2011 11:20

Oooh we've been moved! When you, madkatz and iwish have popped we can go into post-natal clubs then!

Hope you're enjoying your shopping trip iwish :)

lizandlulu · 29/07/2011 12:19

afternoon all. oh we have been movedHmm never mind, can we carry on as normal?

all fine here, baby wise. shes ok, being abit fussy with her bottles, not having it all in one go. she might have an ounce, then stop, then decide she wants some more 20 mins later.

support wise, i must have the crappest family in history. dad is still not at work, wont even go for a morning, even though today he has gone to take mum to look for some garden furnitureHmm in his view, chris can manage at work so he doesnt have to be there (doesnt seem to matter that i have just been sliced open and got a new baby and 5 year old to look after all day every day, cant drive or take myself anywhere)
mum had abit of a go at me this morning cause chris was ment to go last night to do the accounts, but someone came to visit us so he didnt go. HE should have been thereHmm

i still seem to have the baby blues, i am crying while writing this andi think i am scaring lulu abit by keeping bursting into tears, but cant help it and feel very aloneSad

Melly20MummyToPoppy · 29/07/2011 12:46

Oh liz that sucks, it really does, sending a mahoooosive hug your way. Don't forget you always have one of us to talk to on here, I know it's not the same as actually having someone there but it's better than no-one at all. I can't believe how much your family are expecting you to do on your own. Some people just don't have a clue. I hate to sound like a bossy know-it-all :o but next time you see your midwife, or health visitor, make sure you mention how you're feeling, and they may be able to help in some way, not really sure how exactly though lol. It's just that I'd really hate for your blues to turn into PND. Try and keep your chin up ey?

GruffaloMama · 29/07/2011 13:46

Liz you poor thing. Big big big hugs. The blues can go on a bit - but won't be helped by your folks being so unsupportive. I reckon with a second child people just expect you to be able to manage and don't think through what that might mean, especially if you've had a c-section etc. Can Chris say something to them - p'raps they could have Lulu for a couple of hours during the day? Will he be around more at the weekend?

Lots of love and hugs.

lizandlulu · 29/07/2011 13:53

i dont think its PNd casue i feel fine most of the time, i feel that i can look after the baby no problems, apart from being tired. i just feel so let down, maybe alone is the wrong and just feel let down.

mum hasnt said ANYTHING about taking lulu out ANYWHERE with them, not even suggested it.

chris thinks they should be helping more, but he wouldnt say anything to them about it, he can hardly talk tho. his help has tailed off this last couple if days. hes gone out to work, not washed any bottles or put the steriliser on when i can see it needs doing. even left the nappies on the side (where i had put them in the night) when you can see they need putting in the outside bin, but he just walks past everything ignoring it.

my friend is comng tomorrow and she is going to take me into town, just for a short walk, some fresh air and a coffee. try and get back to some normality, i have never been in the house so much in my life.

i really regret having this c section, i wish i had pushed more to find out how big the baby actually was and i might have been able to push her out naturally with her not being as big as they said.
damn the bloody consultant!!!!

Iwish · 29/07/2011 19:23

Hi ladies!

Well I really enjoyed my shopping trip. I'm shattered tho. Spent a fortune top but managed to get most of what I wanted. Also got a angelcare nappy disposal system. It's supposed to be £20 but it's on offer at babies r us for £6.99!!
Was really naughty too and had mac donalds and 5 (yes 5) milkybars!!

Liz that's crappy that you don't feel supported by your family. Hopefully your trip out with your friend will make you feel a little better. Maybe try and leave chris a list of stuff to do to help you?

melly haha that top sounds fab!! How did your class go today doing hand and foot prints?

klou have you been having the pains for a while? I'm only 30 weeks. How are you feeling?

gruff how are you doing? And how is your little lady doing?

lizandlulu · 30/07/2011 22:51

hiya all

ohh shopping iwish, i miss that!!!Grin as soon as i am fit to drive i am off! well i am nearly ok to drive i think i feel loads better than i did and the midwife said as soon as i feel ok to then i can, its just gtting the pram in and out the car which might be more difficult!!

and 5 milky bars??? are you for real??? that would make even the milky bar kid sickGrin

been to asda tonight, made chris push the trolley, god we needed loads. but its all been changed round and was dead busy, so apart from a quick glance at the baby clothes, i didnt have the energy to look properly. i wanted to get some pink muslins but couldnt see any, and they did have some bringht pink minnie mouse blankets, but didnt see them either.

you got a bargain with your bin though didnt you?

klou hows things?? still getting pains?

gruffalo how are you getting on?

and you too madkatz?

hows poppy melly? is she putting on weight? how are you finding breastfeeding?

my midwife weighed violet on wednesday and she had only lost 1 ounce since birth, she said thats really good, so even if she is being fussy with the bottles, she must be getting enough.

got brother in law and sis in law coming tomorrow, going out for lunch, should be niceSmile

KLou111 · 31/07/2011 10:25

Hi all, sorry not been on for a couple of days. *

Liz* so sorry you're feeling shit, hope you're feeling better soon. Bet you're happy with violets weight :) Hope the shopping wasn't too traumatic, at least you managed to get out. Did you take the little ones? Enjoy your lunch today :)

Iwish shopping trip sounds fab, what bargains you got! Good going on the milky bars!
I managed to trough all my sweets in 48 hours lol!
Re pains, been getting them for quite a.few weeks on and off.
Went out yesterday to get a few bits and I double parked so ran to where I quickly needed to go and belly has been is agony at the bottom ever since. Not good particularly in bed. Must've pulled something.

How's your girls melly and gruff?

God I am so bored of this now! 38+4 but getting impatient beyond belief! Everyone keeps saying enjoy it, as your life will never be the same again blah blah but I've been getting used to it for 38 fecking weeks!!! Currently jumping on Dh every morning, raspberry leaf tablets being taken, etc but nothing yet. Bottom of belly still hurting since yesterday so not happy about that and mw never rang with growth scan appt and off for the weekend argh!
Can't wait also for our friend to go tonight so I can relax a bit. Nothing against him personally as he's here doing work, which looks fab, but had visitors here since Tuesday and feel like I haven't stopped.

KLou111 · 31/07/2011 14:14

Well just text my mum about this pain and she rang me straight away and said you're not in labour are you? Friggin shit the hell out of me!!!! Told her it was a.constant pain and hurt everytime I move rather than intermittantly. Anyway, told her what I'd been doing and she said keep an eye on things as it may be the baby's head moving into position eeeek! But she said make sure they get me in for scan ASAP, she said it was daft that I hadn't been contacted yet. Friend here said, cross your legs til I've gone lol! :)

lizandlulu · 31/07/2011 17:47

klou i hope you feel better soon, when are you due to have a growth scan?
did i say i had an infection in the scar? well i am on antibiotics and it doesnt seem to be getting any better. i keep coming out in the sweats, but cant deicide if its cause of the weather, the infection or my midwife said it might be because of my milk drying up. she described it as being like going through the menopauseHmm
