Oh klou s/he'll come soon enough! I bet a lot of people have told you this but try and relax as much as possible now because you won't get time when bubbas here!

iwish that sounds like an ace game lol! Poppy would never do anything like that with us.

Iwish · 24/07/2011 22:50

Hmmm klou I don't think anyone is quite desperate enough for that lol! Grin. Curry and long walks it is then!

melly it seems to be a game he just fancied playing today, he normally hides away. I'm surprised DP got to play as he stops completely when DP tries to feel.

Just mentioned to dp that I fancy a piece of toast and he has gone to make me some. Bless him!

lizandlulu · 25/07/2011 11:59

morning all, well violet seems to be a night owl! she spent around 2 hours awake last night, not particularily crying, just gurgling and being spitty/mucussy/sicky/ she would not settle for ages. she went to sleep about 4 and slep till 8.15! then woke for a bottle and straight back to sleep. typicalGrin

first bath last night, as soon as i took her nappy off she squirted me with poo, lulu found it highly hilariousGrin then i picked her up off the bathroom floor and hurt my bloody scar! i cant see it weeping or anything but not taking the bandage off till tomorrow.

lulu has been fairly good so far, she is getting used to it i think and starting to calm down, she has been abit full of beans more than normal this last few days, today she just seems normal, if abit bored. this not driving is killing me, i NEVER stay in the house usually, and think we will go abit crazy if we dont go out soon.

klou hows the braxton hicks? still coming?

melly i was reading my book last night about the ifrst few weeks after birth and it said in there that breastfed babies can go days without pooing and they rarely get constipated. must just be what they do.

iwish sorry to hear you are in pain, i do hope it eases off soon, 31st aug seems a long way off to be in pain tho.

gruffalo hope you are well and your DS is liking the new addition.

Iwish · 25/07/2011 17:23

I know Liz it's just over 5 weeks away! My due date is 4 weeks after that! I rang them today to see if they av got any earlier ones and they haven't. Sounds like there's only 1 woman who is trained to treat people with SPD. :(

Sounds like you have had fun with your little girlies, even tho it did involve getting squirted with poo and hurting your scar! Bet lulu will be like mother hen soon. What has violet been like today?

I'm so flippin tired!

lizandlulu · 25/07/2011 17:40

she has again just fed and slept. wakes for her bottle, has just over an ounce then goes straight back to sleep after i have winded her. you watch tonight she will want to be awake again.

i had a little nap this aft, mum was here and she took lulu outside to play, only for about 15 mins and since then i have felt like poo, cant get warm and ache all over. and feeling tearySad

chris just got home from work and i promptly sent him back out for macdonaldsGrin

KLou111 · 25/07/2011 21:29

LMAO Liz with the poo squirting ha ha ha!!
Sounds like you're all coping OK, including little Lulu :) Hope your 'wound' not bothering you too much. Bet it was nice to have a little nap.

Iwish that sounds a long time before you can be seen!!

All OK this end, but sick to fecking death of having a sodding foot in the ribs constantly!!
Bought one of these today for when am feeding bubs. Saves putting the light on properly, it glows like them glow worm things you had when you were kids, so not too intense :)
Plugged in the monitor units today to charge up.

DH brother and SIL coming tomorrow for a couple of days. Meant to be coming next week, but rang today to ask if they can come tomorrow instead. Just had a bit of a clear up, but they'll not be here til the afternoon so will have a sort in the morning.
Bit of a pain TBH as have got AN class Weds morning (but DH not coming anyway as is for breastfeeding and all that) then have MW appointment Thurs, so they're going to have to work around us!
Probably a good thing them coming this week as DH convinced s/he will be here this weekend when our friend comes to do the finishing off work ha ha! We'll see!! Hope so though Grin

Iwish · 25/07/2011 21:29

Yeh good on you sending him out for mac d's! Hope he is waiting on you and you are resting.
Maybe your little nap didn't quite do the trick as you needed a bit longer? I hope she sleeps ok tonight to give you a bit more sleep.

We are watching embarrassing bodies, DP is spending most of the time with his eyes closed lol. There's a lot to do with balls and willys - not pretty sights!

KLou111 · 25/07/2011 21:30

Oh, BH still coming, and put waterproof protector on the bed today!!!!

OP posts:
KLou111 · 25/07/2011 21:32

Iwish · 25/07/2011 21:34

Cross post klou. You are always such a busy bee! Hope you enjoy your time with BIL and SIL. I'm sure they will fit in with your plans.
And yeh it is a long time to wait - not good! :(

Iwish · 25/07/2011 21:36

Hehe to your waterproof protector Grin. Where did you get it from? Blush

KLou111 · 25/07/2011 21:54

Just a cheapo one off ebay. Think was 99p. We've got a king but ordered double as DH said he doesn't want it his side cos they make a noise so just folded it in half!

lizandlulu · 26/07/2011 09:20

morning, well yesterday evening was abit of a disaster, i proper got the baby blues, couldnt stop crying, not over anything really apart from how rough i feel. my scar is giving me abit of gip. if i move abit too quick it feels like its ripping open. i cant see any ooze or blood through the dressing tho.
(oh and violet still settled less at night than she does in the day, i wonder if its too quiet for her)

klou it does sound like its going to be sooner rather than later for youSmile i bought one of those cheap waterproof ones but it rustled and made me sweat. i gave up with mine and when it did finally happen, i just grabbed a towel off the back of the door. have a nice time with your relatives.

GruffaloMama · 26/07/2011 15:44

Hiya all. Liz sorry you've got the blues and are feeling the scar. Big hugs. Iwish can you call your midwife - it's ludicrous that you can't see a physio before end August.

All is good here. Gruffalo child is snoozing - has been feeding well and her big brother is smitten (for now at any rate). Here's what happened: Had a show on Thurs morning. Felt a bit crampy and PMT-ish on Thurs. Thurs night the cramps got a bit stronger. On Fri morning they were about every 30 mins but very mild and I wasn't convinced anything was happening - I went round to a friend's for a coffee and met up with another friend in the afternoon. By 6pm they felt proper but still mild. By 9pm I new it was happening. Took DS to his childminder at 11pm and called the delivery unit. We got there about 12-ish and made it into the Midwife-led birthing unit. It was all lovely and low key with just me and DH pottering about and doing our own thing. About 3:30 the contractions were every couple of mins and getting stronger. I asked if I could get into the birth pool and the midwife sorted it out. The contractions got really strong and my legs started giving way. I had a bit of gas and air for the next few and then got into the pool about 4:30. I started pushing about 5am and though it was VERY hard work it was miles easier than pushing DS. The midwife and her helper were absolutely brilliant and talked me through exactly what I had to do. DD was delivered in the pool and we had our first cuddle right there. Getting out of the pool was tricky - my arms were really wobbly and pathetic!

I got away with just a very minor tear - but it didn't even need stitches. So I'm already feeling so much better than I did after DS. DD is massive - her head is as big as DS's (37 cm) and she's much longer and bigger than he was. She has a headful of black hair and the most beautiful fingernails (mine are all stubby and rubbish!)... She's been pretty good except for last night which was a shocker - up for four hours cluster feeding. I think it was because my milk's come in - my breasts are like cannon-balls.

Gotta go - I reckon there's another feed on the cards. Will keep an eye but might be pressed for time for the next couple of weeks with visitors etc...

lizandlulu · 26/07/2011 17:18

well gruffalo it all sounds perfectSmile such a lovely birth. look after yourself, i am so glad you feel well. i look forward to seeing some pics

Iwish · 26/07/2011 18:09

I will need to invest in one of those then klou. Will get one that we can use after the birth when the bleeding kicks in (sorry if tmi)

Liz I hope you are feeling better today after your crappy day yesterday. Sometimes a good cry Is needed to make you feel a bit better.

gruff it sounds like the birth went just perfectly! Look after yourself and can't wait to see the piccies.

I've just put up my 30 week pic. I look HUGE!

lizandlulu · 26/07/2011 21:35

that is NOT huge iwish its all bumpSmile

Iwish · 27/07/2011 11:36

Some cheeky f*%#er just said to me 'are you sure it's not twins?' !!!!! Cheeky cow!

Awww thanks Liz you do make me feel better. Shame others aren't that kind Angry. How did you get on with your little ladylast night?

Melly20MummyToPoppy · 27/07/2011 15:54

Oh gruffalo that sounds like the most amazing birth experience! How are you getting on?

And how are you getting on liz? I hope chris is pulling his weight and looking after you all ok!

Mattress protectors are a fabulous idea, so glad i got one, our mattress would've been ruined if i hadn't!

iwish thats a perfect bump, that stupid woman hasn't a clue what she's talking about. Aslong as your measurements are spot on then everythings fine and it's no-one elses business!

Hey klou how long have you got left now? Hopefully you won't be waiting too much longer!

Madkatz where are you? Hope everythings ok at your end!

lizandlulu · 27/07/2011 16:50

last nigth was actually a very good night really! chris kept her in the living room once i gave her her bottle at 9, which she drank a whole 3 oz. then he brought her to bed with him when i had fed her at about half 1. she didnt settle till 2, but then didnt wake till 5 and went back easily, then woke at half 7, again settling easliy.

i lost alot of watery blood again tho at about half 11. it felt like me waters had broken all over again! but in a different part of my body, it musth ave just waterlogged the dressing, but leaked all into the matteress and made a mess. the midwife has had a look and she said it looks fine. no one told me aobut all the weeping, but she seemed to imply that it was all normal.

had violet weighed and she has only lost 1 oz since birthSmile

KLou111 · 27/07/2011 18:30

Wow you're f-ing huuuuuuuuuuge Iwish are you really sure there is only 1 in there??? Wink ha ha ha!! Only joking. Which bloody muppet said that???? Silly cow, you're defo all baby and only looks like 1 to me!!

Gruffalo birth sounds lovely and perfect to me. Exactly what I want, although DH has asked if we can have the baby in daytime hours lol!! Sounds like you're getting on well, and I hope she settles down with the feeding. Bet your DS loves her to bits.

Liz sounds like you're getting on nicely too, and Violet's weight is keeping up well :)
Such a shame you are bleeding like you are.

Well, all OK here. Been getting BH quite regularly, and had some thick white 'pant snot', quite a lot of, yesterday morning, so rang my mum Grin and she said it may be a show, but maybe not, just keep an eye on what is going on contraction-wise. Well, nothing, booooooooo! Had enough now.

Had AN class this morning, was breastfeeding, so DH didn't come, he had a wander round town with his bro and SIL. There was food market thing on, so that kept them entertained.
Got a moses basket too in the end. Thought we'd better, as didn't want to get caught out if we needed one and didn't have one. Means we can move bubs around the house a bit too cos it's so warm upstairs in the day, and lovely and cool in our lounge at the mo. My bro has bought it so that's nice.
Bubs is regularly getting hiccups which is quite amusing!
Been to the beach this aft, which was lovely. Went into Cardigan town first (near the beach we went to) purely to go to the sweet shop they have there. They have EVERYTHING!! Bought 6 bags of sweets (700g total!!) and a jelly foam snake Grin. Well, got to make the most of this 'fat' excuse!!
DH and BIL just took Bella down the woods for a walk, SIL in the kitchen cooking something Thai, and I'm chilling here, so overall, a lovely day :)

Iwish · 27/07/2011 20:38

Thanks melly she is a mean cow. Would have loved to tell her to f off but she is one of the managers Angry
Hope you are doing ok? Have you joined any mother and baby groups or any classes yet?

Liz Glad you had a better night and that violet Is doing well. Rubbish about the watery/bloody leakage but at least midwife thinks it's nothing to worry about.

Haha klou well said - she is a muppet!! I saw your latest pic you put up and you look lovely!
Yey to having a Moses basket, you can move him/her quietly around the house without disturbance.
Envy about the sweeties. I love sweets more than chocolate!
How do you know bubba has hiccups?

KLou111 · 27/07/2011 20:53

Hiccups feels like er well hiccups lol! You'll know. It's like bubs hitting you lightly every 5 seconds iyswim? Gets slightly annoying after 30 mins though!

OP posts:
KLou111 · 27/07/2011 20:58

And the sweeties are goooooood! :)
I got cinder toffee, soft fruity rock, cigarette stick things, licorice torpedoes, cherry lips and choc chewy nut toffee things :) and hubby bought us all a waffle cone ice cream at the beach which was lush!
