MOSP - awww poor Percy and poor you! Hope he is on the mend very soon!

Millie - I ended up doing a lot of craft stuff with DS, play dough, drawing, making things as I also was not very mobile! Plus Cbeebies and DVDs!

Jasmine - make sure those are rusty shears!

Clarkiee - lovely to see you here again and that the twins are doing so well. Are you settled into the new house?

Can't wait for the rest of you babies to make an appearance!

Cara is just lovely can't stop cuddling her! And the boys are bessotted with her. DS is particularly sweet with her, he loves her. He did get into bed with us though, in the end DH got into DS's bed!

Btw those of you who have more than 1, do you find yourself calling the new baby by it's sibling's name? Keep calling dd by ds's name!!

moomin156 · 14/06/2011 15:54

just added photo to the 'secret FB page'

takethatlady · 14/06/2011 16:06

I am sure that MN goes offline more times when I have just written a long bleedin' post than it can possibly do for any other person Angry ...

Can't remember everything I wrote, but here goes. Awww for Percy - I hope he gets better soon and that he doesn't need the UV light. And awww for nurse too - glad it looks like it's not OC but I hope you're feeling better soon. When are you due again? (Sorry, bad memory.) I'm sure it's before me so feel free to gloat if it makes you feel any better :)

So lovely to hear from clarkiee and moomin and all the other new mummies :) kara, prisoner and barbie you are doing amazingly well to be posting right now! I am impressed! And glad you're enjoying the newborn cuddles Envy

79monica I want to know how your trip into town went :) And though I have no experience of these things at all it sounds perfectly reasonable (and totally deserved) to have a cry about how much life has changed and about the difficult bits of new motherhood. You would seem freakily abnormal to me if you didn't Grin and I'm sure I'll be joining you in that weepiness very very soon! (I am weepy now, and have no baby to show for it ...)

Had a question about BHs. Never noticed them before but today my bump has been going hard and tight so I assume I'm having them. But they're high up - way above my belly button at the top of my bump. Is that a BH? Or am I going mad? I expected them to be crampy and low down ...

motherofsnortpigs · 14/06/2011 16:15

kara Yup. I think I might have Not Humphrey on Percy's birth certificate :)

Clarkiee · 14/06/2011 16:31

Poor Percy- I'm sure the antibiotics will do the trick.

Who do I get in touch with about fbook page? I've forgotten.

Second what tt says Monica totally normal to have a cry. I'm feeling peed off because a group of my close friends are going camping or 'glamping' as they call it, this weekend (the same group that went to Spain last month Hmm). Why did we not going camping last Summer or the Summer before Angry. It's silly feeling annoyed because I've got something much more special going on! One of my friends who is going has been trying for a baby for over a year now and shes started going for tests- sure she'd rather be with a baby than camping.

Wow exciting to hear about people waiting for their babies to come Smile

moomin156 · 14/06/2011 16:34

clarkiee i emailed milliemuffin who added me as a friend and then added me to the group

Clarkiee · 14/06/2011 16:37

Cool, thanks Moomin

crazychic141187 · 14/06/2011 16:58

ttl my bh have always been at the top of my bump and it just goes really hard! Especially when I'm driving!

I'm feeling better today! Just had an off day yesterday! Feel more uncomfortable today which makes me think that the baby will be here soon! Only another week to go if she doesn't make it on her own lol!

Talking about messages from other people asking for news my student midwife text me last night asking if there was any news!!! I thought that was crazy!!!

So glad to here all the little babies are giving their mummies lots of cuddles!

takethatlady · 14/06/2011 17:20

Oh dear crazychic that student midwife is bound to get her head bitten off by someone at some point ... then she'll stop doing it!

Thanks for the info re: BHs. Feeling them loads this afternoon, and now realise I have occasionally felt them before though not so strongly. Yay, a little development (not that it means anything!) :)

Glad you're feeling better :)

jasmine51 · 14/06/2011 17:27

MOSP big hugs to Percy, keep us updated on his progress. Given your love of hospitals if there's anything I can do to help (no idea what but the offer is there!) let me know. Am at JR on Thurs for monitoring pm and up for a cake in the restaurant if you are in the vicinity.

Crazy glad you are feeling better

My fanjo is on fire btw. Too much awkward bending in the garden today has set my spd off like mad, feels like I'm splitting in 2 but bump has defo taken the opportunity today to drop a bit.

Neighbour has been entertained and dispatched...back home that is, not with rusty garden shears....very very tempting though.

DaisyFields · 14/06/2011 18:37

Oh dear, hope little Percy is back home and fighting fit soon.

Jasmine anyone who calls/texts/emails is sent to www.haveyouhadthatbabyyet.com, it has been getting the message across quite well so far!

My cervix was 'not favourable for a sweep' Sad today so booked in for induction on Monday. I don't want to be prodded and poked and faffed with Angry I just want this blimmin baby out.

Lovely to hear back from the graduated mummies, enjoy your snuggles.

misshoohaa · 14/06/2011 18:38

Baby miss arrived this morning at 11:33, long 32 hr labour but all in all very positive. Will post full story soon. Little boy so maybe mrhoohaa!? 7lb 04oz.
Xx

PerpetualProvocateur · 14/06/2011 18:47

Congratulations misshoohaa! Sorry to hear about your long labour, but good that it was a positive experience. Enjoy snuggling the little man!

milliemuffin · 14/06/2011 18:47

Congratulations Miss!! 32hrs does sound long but worth it Smile

I've not been having any contractions or BH tonight but 3 times it's felt like something has poked me (hard!) between the legs with a knitting needle and I've had a couple of sharp pains to the belly. I've had them before but they were quite strong tonight. Despite 5 hours of (painful but bearable) contractions every 7mins with DD before she popped out in 2 pushes I'm bit more nervous about this one arriving before I've had a chance to call anyone. Not worried yet cos not had a single contraction but I'm finding it hard to distract myself. Xx

NurseSunshine · 14/06/2011 18:50

YAY congratulations Misshoohaa Grin Well done, sounds more like an endurance test than childbirth!! Hope you're OK xxx

Thanks Supersunny. Glad you've got the water birth OK-ed. I can't imagine they were laughing at your weight, probably laughing at the thought that you were overweight because you're obviously not.

ConfessionsOfAnAchingFanjo · 14/06/2011 19:22

Ohh Misshoohaa! Congratulations on little Mrhoohaa's arrival Grin

sasamaxx · 14/06/2011 19:48

Awww Confessions that's totally understandable

Congratulations Misshoohaa

Hope your fanjo stops hurting soon Jasmine

Yep Kara - I am constantly calling Celeste by her big sister's name - it's driving me mad.

Sorry little Percy isn't feeling great just now MOSP - sending lots of healing vibes his way.

Thanks for the kind words Provocateur

Celeste has slept most of the day today to conserve her energy for crying most of the night - I've stopped taking pregnacare in case the iron is causing her digestive discomfort. If this doesn't work, I might have to try eliminating dairy which is a total pain as I LOVE milk and drink 2 pints a day.

I applied to become a milk donor yesterday so am hoping that I meet the criteria - not sure how long I need to wait to hear though. The only things I might fail on is that I drink more than 3 cups of tea per day and have a couple of glasses of wine a couple of times a week and I'm not sure if that might be too much.

sasamaxx · 14/06/2011 19:49

Oops - and thank you Nurse for kind words too Smile

moomin156 · 14/06/2011 20:09

sasa my consultant said there ws very little you could do to stop the pain, its just time. I mentioned dairy and she said that nothing is proven........she said in germany they recommend the baby has fennell tea but again not proven. Sorry you are having a bad time....i am in symapathy. I have gone with swaddling and a dummy ( when she will take it) and it does help a little but not as much as cuddles and pacing the house :(

sasamaxx · 14/06/2011 20:17

Ah yes I've been swaddling, cuddling and pacing - it's so heartbreaking Sad
I'm trying to avoid dummies because DD is completely addicted and I can't get her off them at all. I also blame them for the thrush that we passed between ourselves constantly - altho it might have had nothing to do with them.
Didn't realise you were struggling with this too Sad

jasmine51 · 14/06/2011 20:24

daisy love that link, thanks will use that!
Well done Miss look forward to hearing more soon
