Just realised I misread AJ's post - congrats on your boy Grin

Got the results back from the heel prick test, all okay! Hearing test was done yesterday and that was fine. And I have had a call from my Health Visitor and it is one of the ones I know really well, she is one of the bfing trained HVs and she it brilliant Smile

sasamaxx · 30/06/2011 16:54

Kara and crazychic I'm resisting 'the dummy' too. I'll only get one if I am totally totally at my wit's end.
DS didn't have one and slept thro the night at 18mths - no bfing probs at all and has lovely straight teeth
DD did - and still has - cannot get the thing off her for love nor money. Total nightmare. We also had recurrent thrush (her mouth, my nipple) until she stopped bfing, her teeth are squinty and she still wakes up looking for the damn thing Angry So, I now think that dummies are evil.

Prisoner so shocked at the lack of support from your DP - you deserve more help than this - I hope he comes to his senses Sad

sasamaxx · 30/06/2011 16:55

Where on earth is Jasmine?

KaraStarbuckThrace · 30/06/2011 16:56

DS has a dummy until he was 3, fortunately it hasn't affected his teeth, however he used to throw them in a temper and then kick off screaming because he had thrown his dummy (usually in the car). Plus he sometimes lost them in bed and this would wake him up.

KaraStarbuckThrace · 30/06/2011 17:04

I have seen a couple of posts from Jasmine on the B&BF board! It seems she had her baby a week ago. I imagine she has just been too busy to post.

Jasmine - if you are managing to read but not post, we all wish you well Smile

ConfessionsOfAnAchingFanjo · 30/06/2011 17:31

AC I'm trying to get my LO to read your message lots, but it seems to want to take it's sweet arse time. Contractions are about 10 minutes apart now. At this rate I'll still make my induction appt in the morning!!

AJ congrats on the arrival of your boy Grin.

On another thread I've been saying for months TTL is going to beat me to the baby. Bet she's off pushing right now after her mysterious dribble.

Good to see Jasmine has been spotted having had her wee man.

sasamaxx · 30/06/2011 18:18

Ah that's great news about Jasmine Smile

takethatlady · 30/06/2011 20:15

Great news about jasmine :) No news from me though coaaf! You're still going to beat me!

Have been just reading posts the last day rather than posting as I was feeling rather jealous of all those birth stories being 9 days overdue Blush!
This morning I had my midwife appointment and was booked in for induction for Tuesday. She also did a sweep. At 5 I lost my mucous plug and still then have been getting regular period like cramps - I am really hoping that this means I will be avoiding induction, do people think this is a good sign??

Apologies for not mentioning and congratulating but am on phone and can't scroll! x

thank you supersunny am really really really hoping this is the beginning of something even if it takes couple of days before properly going so I avoid induction on tue!

milliemuffin · 30/06/2011 21:56

Best of luck Curiouselle You might have a June baby yet!! Xx

neenewps · 30/06/2011 22:39

Haven't caught up but just wanted to share my news that I gave birth to a gorgeous 7lb 11oz baby boy today called Arthur Edward.

Will try and post my birth story at some point.

Am so in love with him.

curiouselle · 30/06/2011 22:46

neenewps wow that's amazing! and might I say a great name one that is my absolute fave but was declined by DH! over the moon for you :)

millie I don't think june is possible I'm afraid! :)

milliemuffin · 30/06/2011 22:58

Congratulations Neenewps! So pleased for you xx

Curiouselle I'm guessing with only an hour left chances are slim but considering some of the stories we've read on here anything is possible! Hope you're ok, any progress?

takethatlady · 30/06/2011 23:01

Good luck curiouselle sounds hopeful to a first-timer like me :)

And congratulations neenewps!!! Arthur is also my all-time favourite boys' name, though DH is a fan of Gregory. Lucky we're having a girl :) Hope all went well with the birth.

I don't know if these count as contractions but I've had 24 hours on and off of cramps in lower abdomen accompanied by bump tightenings at the top. Sometimes they get to every ten minutes, then they'll ease off for ages. Don't know if it means anything ... off to google :)
