sasamaxx · 03/06/2011 20:25

Actually not today - there are only 3.5 hours left of today so tomorrow or the next day more like Smile

moomin156 · 03/06/2011 20:31

but its very exciting sasa.........and breathe, walk around, lots of swaying, go and have a bath.....and then have another bath

sasamaxx · 03/06/2011 20:35

Oh yes baths. Need to wait until kids asleep or they will hear the water running, get out of bed and try to get in with me Wink

motherofsnortpigs · 03/06/2011 20:39

Ooh, sasa keep breathing! I'm a bit Envy but if you reckon you'll go into tomorrow, I could still catch you up Wink I'm with you Confessions on hot weather. We've been to the paddling pool in town today for 6 hours! I have sunburnt knees - oops! So, a sweep works within 48 hours...so I have another 17 hours and 20 mins to go. I WISH! Going to bed now to make the morning come quicker.

NurseSunshine · 03/06/2011 20:42

Eeeek Sasa!!! You go girl!

Please may I have your muffin recipe moomin?

How annoying Almighty is she going to replace it?

sasamaxx · 03/06/2011 20:44

Hmmm could be a false alarm as has now been 13 mins since last one...

motherofsnortpigs · 03/06/2011 20:45

O millie my DD's were at home when I had DS in the bath. We had practised mooing noises and they knew how loud I could be. It was so special having them see their brother so soon after he was born. This time they want to find out the gender themselves, so I'll have to hold up the baby and let them tell me. I'm really excited!!!

moomin156 · 03/06/2011 20:58

nurseNigellas chocolate banana muffins

milliemuffin · 03/06/2011 20:58

Sasa Hope things get going again soon! With DD (DC2) I never got closer than 7 mins apart so as long as they're really hurting then hopefully this is the start for you.

MOSP That sounds great but DD wakes at the drop of a feather and is still guite clingy with me so having them at home would just make things harder unfortunately :(

NurseSunshine · 03/06/2011 21:02

Oooh thanks Moomin

That sounds lovely MOSP :)

BarbieLovesKen · 03/06/2011 22:25

petitech I was resigning myself to the fact that it simply didn't work and was just a big waste of time - until about half an hour ago when I definately lost my mucous plug! Didn't have this with either dd or ds but was definately it- really hope something is going to start soon.

Eek sasamaxx - how exciting.

nurse I was thinking if mn2 recently too.

thorny, if your out there just wondering how you are?

Millie will pm you over Facebook page.

sasamaxx · 03/06/2011 22:26

Just popping in to say thank you for the support last night re the post sweep bleeding; apparently this is normal as long as it isn't more than a pads worth of fresh blood at once so all is well thank you.

Unfortunately all the bleeding (am still spotting now) has done sweet FA. It was quite uncomfortable too during the sweep & I did feel v tender for the rest of the day but anyone who is worrying about sweep pls don't be put off by that as it wasn't so bad that I wouldn't do it again tomorrow if need be

Mw has booked me for induction Monday morning so I am lying on my bed now looking at baby's cot & knowing that God willing in a few more nights I can have my baby in there.

Sorry I am a bit behind with thread but hope everyone ok. sasa just read the thread on Childbirth am so pleased things are moving for you. And is BPrincess going in for her baby today? Apologies if I'm wrong I am well behind the thread & have been in a world of my own this wk end.

Good night all & hope everyone enjoying the sun :)

Thornykate · 03/06/2011 22:40

X post Barbie that's good news about the plug- I didn't lose any plug with 1st 2 DSs but with DS3 I went to the loo, saw the plug & contractions started strongly within minutes so it could be game on :)

Good luck sasa !

Gillzz · 03/06/2011 22:50

Hi all quick post from hospital my little princess Sophie was born at 7.30am 3rd June 8.12lbs she's perfect!

Birth was very dramatic started contractions at 3am this morning really intense by 7am then at 7.10 felt my waters coming away so called mw and the look of horror on her face told me it wasn't! I was covered in red blood the placenta had errupted and I was losing a lot of blood so rushed in for emergency section all happened so quick I was in shock! Df got there about 7.35am looking as White as a sheet! So glad it over I'm in agony finding it really difficult to walk!

She's great she is getting intravine antibiotics for gbs as I didn't receive them as everything happened so quick!

Thornykate · 03/06/2011 23:46

Wow am glad you are both ok gillz that sounds terrifying! Well done & congratulations on Sophies arrival that's great news. Hope you get a good well deserved rest now x

knackered76 · 03/06/2011 23:48

Gillzz Congratulations on the arrival of Sophie Grin. Sounds hugely dramatic, not surprised df was white as a sheet! Don't try and walk, take it really, really easy. Hope you get some rest tonight :)

Sasa Sending you regular contraction vibes . . . . .

Barbie Sending you contraction vibes and any other vibes needed to get your new daughter out!

Thorny Sorry it hasn't turned into anything but at least now you have a deadline :)

Moomin If there are still muffins I'll have one :)

Well we spent the day in the sun by a stream with the children running in and out and swinging on ropes, making potions and various other things. I then cheated and took them out for dinner :) Was a lovely day but I am now the size of an elephant with all the swelling Shock. Thankfully I decided not to wear my rings today or I would have never got them off!

Due tomorrow but not holiday my breath and thankfully dh has decided to work from home next week (providing he can get access to the work network) so it's one less worry on my mind about him not getting home in time :)

Sleep well those who are trying and contract well those who might be meeting their babies soon :)

sasamaxx · 04/06/2011 00:45

Wow congratulations gillz

I'm still contracting but not getting any closer and not getting any sleep either.
Could be a.long night

Thornykate · 04/06/2011 00:57

knackered your day today sounds lovely, it's nice to enjoy some time out with the family before the family changes again when LO arrives IYKWIM?

sasa I hope you get a bit of rest :( did u get a bath or do you find that slows them down? I am wide awake so may end up keeping you company if I can't drop off soon.

Decided to attack the jungle garden today & hit myself on my ankle bone with the rake. It's only really hurting me now, might have to take some paracetamol if I want to sleep anytime soon. Another reason not to go near the tool shed for another year Grin

sasamaxx · 04/06/2011 03:57

Nope no sleep here. On the verge of giving up and watching a film or something.
Contractions still about 8 mins apart but v sore

CitizenOscar · 04/06/2011 05:01

Congratulations gilliz and welcome Sophie. Hope you're recovering well.

sasa - don't know what to say, so just sending good vibes your way. Hope you can get some rest - sounds frustrating - and/or things start moving along a bit soon...

Good wishes to everyone else too, especially those getting close to holding their new arrivals in their arms (can't scroll back on phone to check who etc). Partly v envious & partly happy for my LO to stay where he is for a while - he seems pretty comfy in there! Sleep would be nice tho...

KaraStarbuckThrace · 04/06/2011 07:32

Congratulations Gillz on the arrival of Sophie!!

Sassamax - hope everything is going okay for you, and that you will be holding your baby very soon :)

Barbie - ooh fingers crossed things have started for you!

Joanne - glad your cough is finally getting better!

Petitech - my bump was really hard yesterday evening and got a couple of strong contractions, but again it has stopped and bump feels soft again this morning! So nowt happening!!
