m shattered atm, so will pop in tomorrow & have a good update/catch up with y'll then. got the GTT date through for the 1st June - joy. but have found a gorgeous postman pat play gym & ring thingy which i'm dying to get for DC.

davidtennantsmistress · 15/05/2011 21:24

lei - fab news about DH & the commuting, v brave living with the MIL. :)

Klou - ps' loving the bump pic - yours is still nice & neat - mine's starting to get overgrown. Blush

MrsStevo · 15/05/2011 22:30

Leilandri - fab news! Not self-indulgent at all, we're all very pleased for you :)

klou - amazing video!!! I have to say I agree that 'it' looks like a boy though! No idea why really .... just does. Gorgeous though!

All ok here, few twinges in the 'downstairs' dept this evening but nothing major I hope - think I need to step up the fibre intake, seem to suddenly be experiencing difficulties in that area (sorry if TMI) Blush. Had a snuggle with a 2 week old last night and it made me all a bit emotional that I'm going to have two of them soon! Just a bundle of gorgeousness. And I've spent an impromptu afternoon with my sister and her 3 beautiful children which was lovely.

Much better than fretting that DH is now unemployed (made redundant), we have no money to buy a new car, I got outbid at the last second on a beautiful cot (to match one that I had already won) and all the general is-everything-still-ok-in-there prods tummy fretting!

Hope you're all well!! x x

KTisPG · 16/05/2011 08:12

Thanks for all your good wishes. DS is much better thanks. I've never seen anything come on and go so quickly!

KLou Amazing pics!

captainbarnacle · 16/05/2011 08:43

KLou - fab video! We share a due date and it was amazing to see the stage my baby must be at inside there! He's constantly wriggling and I can see him 'from the outside' but no idea he's such a proper BABY in there :)

impatient1 · 16/05/2011 09:04

klou the video is great! Im in north wales, and the babybond nearest us charges £170!

KLou111 · 16/05/2011 09:19

Thank you all, it's so amazing isn't it how much of a proper baby they are, just need to grow a bit now :)
Getting quite a bump here, not taken a pic this last week, must do it asap as been doing it weekly since 15 weeks.

We live south west Wales impatient and that's what we found, that they were really expensive around there. Swansea was our nearest and the same sort of price. I would say to DH lets open one more in the middle of Wales and charge less, but I think the equipment is rediculously expensive!!
My parents and most of my family live in the Midlands (we moved 2 years ago) so we had loads of options of places to go, and this place just opened walking distance from my parents house!

Hope everything comes together for you MrsS. Sounds lovely snuggling a 2 weeks old. Just think though this time in 3 months, we'll practically all be mummy's!! Grin

KLou you've now made me go from excited to super excited... I've got my 4D scan in 12 days, 6 hours and 3 min Grin The countdown app on IPhone is ace lol Its £155 with 10% discount so I didnt think that was too bad :)

I agree your baby looks like a boy! Do you have any recommendations on what to do before your scan, i wasnt sure whether to have an ice lolly to get baby moving (as that always works)

I've got to have a Growth Scan along with Cyst check and presentation check in 2 weeks. Ill be 28+4w at that point and then see the consultant straight after. Apparently im transverse at the min so they want to make sure there is room for baby to turn. Currently only getting kicks in my right side and the occasional kick low down.

KLou111 · 16/05/2011 09:38

ha ha Winterlover it'll fly by. My appt was at 10:45 and didn't feel like eating that morning, but when I got there they told me to go to the shop next door and get a sweet drink like lucozade and some chocolate (gladly!!) so that's all I had.
A lady came in with an ice lolly, and she came straight back out and got some lucozade as baby not in a good position, so would recommend choc and lucozade as our baby was in perfect position apparently :)
Baby was 'breech' as Selina said the other day. Hope your scan(s) go well :)

WinterLover · 16/05/2011 09:41

Chocolate and lucozade you say.... Im sure I can do that Grin

Ive got 3 counters, 4D scan, Hospital Scan and due date :) im so sad!!

Im just starting to get baby things bought now. Scary times, never realised how much some stuff cost Hmm Finally pinned DP down to discuss pram/pushchair and car seats so know what we're doing about them just need to find pram/pushchair that 'I' like now as he said as long as it has wheels he's not bothered..

CappuccinoCarrie · 16/05/2011 11:43

leilandri that's great news :)

Saw the community mw today for the first time in 3 months, and she doesn't want me back for another 2 months. All measuring fine, baby's heart beat and my bp great, passed the wee test, and she took my 28wk bloods. At no point did she actually say "how are you?" or "any concerns?", so she has no idea that I have spd Confused. I did manage to ask for a gaviscon prescription though which will be ready for me to pick up tomorrow.

Also there's a new system at the hospital - instead of phoning delivery there's now a triage number, so you go in and they assess whether or not you're actually in labour before either sending you home or giving you a room on the delivery ward. Makes perfect sense to stop delivery being cluttered up with people who are early in pre-labour, but doesn't work well for me as both my previous labours have only got going once I've reached hospital (been 2 or 3cm on arrival and had baby within a couple of hours, when you're not officially 'in labour' til you're 4cm). I'll just refuse to go home, we'll go and sit in the canteen for an hour and go back if necessary, I'm just really scared of giving birth in the car or on the bathroom floor!

RugbyWidow7 · 16/05/2011 12:22

cappuccino - dig your heals in I say. SOunds like a good idea in theory, but if you know you have quick labours stand your ground (or do it round the corner having a coffee).

Klou gorgeous pics / vid! It's amazing to see how developed our babies now are! Also feeling more excited than ever now!

BTW, I'm reading a book I saw recommended on MN called Ina May's Guide to Childbirth, which I'm finding really useful for positive thinking about giving birth (after hearing so many horror stories). It's all about natural birth and reminds you what your body is actually capable of. It's just what I needed, so thought I'd mention it to you ladies.

Firawla · 16/05/2011 12:33

yeah cappucino would definitely not bother going home if you do go in at 3cm or something, as i doubt it would take that long to progress especially for your 3rd.. they probably would use discretion though of it being not your 1st baby so likely quicker, and had previous fast deliveries before?

klou lovely video, its really nice to see considering all the babies are due at the same time so can just look at yours and think well mine must be looking similar at the moment lol. i agree in some pics your baby looks more of a boy but then some shots looked more of a girl so hard to guess really.. so nice for you that you can see all the facial features and everything already though, you dont get all that from the normal 2d scan. winterlover hope yours goes well, put up your pics after too

as for me, i am waiting back to hear about flat we saw yesterday and really hope they just say yes we can move in, because i am desperate to get sorted now. its not that long to go really.. still bit anxious with the diabetes thing too, lots of the blood sugars been coming back okay but some of them are high. i dont want them to put me on insulin injections or anything :S so waiting for apt next mon atleast then i will feel a bit more 'in the know' about what to expect i think. and i am soo tired ds1 is driving me mad at night time once again, why on earth he thinks 2, 3, or 4am is an appropriate time to try and get up i don't know!! he better pack it in by the time the baby is here as i will have enough to do with newborn night feeds. he was no trouble at night really when ds2 was born, seems to have gone worse with age!

WinterLover · 16/05/2011 12:46

Firawla I will certainly put the pictures up. Taking step-daughter whos 5 to the 4D scan too, shes excited about it but im preparing myself for tantrums as the attentions not on her!!

I can sympathise with the house/flat thing. Our lease is due for renewal 28th July. So I've emailed them asking if we're able to extend the lease for a further 6 months. I DO NOT want to a) be house hunting at 33weeks (their timing for notice to end tenancy) or b) moving house at 37 weeks pregnant!!

Firawla · 16/05/2011 13:09

hopefully it will help your step daughter to be excited about the baby, and she wont end up having any tantrums in the scan!!
yeah same here the notice is up on the 24th july but want to get it sorted asap now not wait til then last minute, especially as theyre not likely to want me overdue with this one so cancells out the extra week or so i would have thought i'll get. hopefully yours will extend for you with no problem, if they are not selling up then i dont see why they shouldn't, its easier for them anyway to keep existing tenants in i would have thought

SelinaDoula · 16/05/2011 13:23

klou- gourgeous pics and video! Looking forward to my scan next wens, wavering as to whether to find out the sex...
wishwales- glad you are ok, just ead lullabies for little criminals which was great and currently reading the mumsnet book club book (the hand that first held mine)
Survived the festival, was fine on the fri and sat but was flagging yesterday and groucy nd feel abit sick today but home resting. Got to go to London for 3 days work his week but they put us up in a hotel so should b ok.
Keep having the odd panicy momment about whether I can do this (have another baby!) burt think I'm just tired!

WinterLover · 16/05/2011 13:37

Shes excited already, but she's going through a phase (started before baby was mentioned) where she has an almighty tantrum if either things dont go her way or the attention is off her. She's like it at her mums as well.. DP's pulling his hair out Grin

Fingers crossed for you too.. I cant see them wanting to get new tennants either and if they decide to sell the house then we'd look at buying it anyway as we're able to get a mortgage for it. Im hoping he wants to sell in 6 months as our mortgage on the house would be £120 a month less than what we pay in rent!!

KTisPG · 16/05/2011 13:51

Is anyone else finding it all hard work at the moment? I'm feeling really tired and lethargic and I can't be bothered! Just want to go back to bed but even if I do I can't get comfy. Grumble grumble grump grump...

WinterLover · 16/05/2011 14:01

Yup me too, pleased im not the only one! Plus im getting fed up as I cant bend down easy now to pick toys up!

KTisPG · 16/05/2011 14:07

And when forced to bend down to pick up some random crap toys the DCs have dropped, I emit involuntary grunting sounds. Plus I've had to start employing DD to pull me off the sofa. Time for a Brew and Biscuit by way of compensation

WinterLover · 16/05/2011 14:16

haha I emit involuntary grunting sounds I DO THAT!! Grin and make sure there is someone there when doing said grunting sounds Grin

I told DSD I couldnt touch my toes anymore so she quite happily/cheekily showed me how she could touch her toes... little monster!

Enjoy your compensation, mine is a hot chocolate and a chocolate marshmellow crispie cake nom nom nom

alibaba76 · 16/05/2011 14:17

KT agree completely. Could happliy go to sleep now if it wasn't for the fact that lying down kills my pelvis...
