LOL Ali I've only dtd once since and I don't have your excuse. I haven't felt like it (never do much when PG to be honest) and we havent been that prolific since the kids - one or other of us is always knackered. Not bothered though it works for us and I'm sure when things aren't as full on we'll get our mojo back Grin

alibaba76 · 12/05/2011 20:01

Star I wasn't sure about that, but tbh, if you feel like I did, you will just not take ANY risks. Yes there are times I've wanted to, but these have been few and far between - just not felt 100% comfortable and only feel about 1% attractive, so I've just ignored any urges.

However if from 38 weeks onwards, I feel up for it, I will go for it! Might bring labour on and I do not want to be over-due!!
MrsStevo thanks for sharing, glad I'm not alone!!
KLou no offence taken :)

MrsVidic · 12/05/2011 20:41

I'm sat reading your posts chuckling to myself remembering when I was 7 days over due with dd. I demanded Dp did the deed after he told mechs wasn't in the mood! I distinctively remember shouting, 'you got me in this condition, swollen, moody and feeling like I've a head between my legs! So you will bloodywell bend me over that ball and deposit your sperm on my cervix! Man up!"
It worked and she was with us that night!

Annie456 · 12/05/2011 20:44

Oh I woke up with cramp in my calf last night too-soooo painful! I felt like such an idiot whimpering away until I gradually went quiet and admitted that it was better. Has hurt all day today though!

Regarding DTD...if it triggers BH should I not be doing it?! It's not really often, every couple of weeks at most but it always brings on the BH! Not ideal as it's not the time I want DH remembering that there's a baby in there...!

KLou111 · 12/05/2011 20:49

LMFAO Mrsv DH just gave me funny look across the room as I was chuckling to myself at that!!!

Just had an ahhhhhh moment. Feeling really really fat today. Just said to DH (a bit sadly :() 'I bet you don't find me attractive anymore, and you think I'm fat and ugly.' He just looked at me (quite sincerely) and said, 'You have never looked more beautiful, I love you more than ever, and thank you for carrying my beautiful child.' Then I blubbed like an idiot and he gave me a huge cuddle :)

ROFL @ MrsVidic! Grin

ali and MrsS I quite understand. Actually, throughout my entire pregnancy with DS I had no libido whatsoever and poor DH was rather left out in the cold. By the time my sex drive came back at around 35 weeks I had raging thrush and was unable to act Hmm This time around I have been up for it but life stuff keeps getting in the way (job stress, move stress, DS getting into our bed every night...and so on Grin). So again, not too much action going on here!

KTisPG · 12/05/2011 20:55

PMSL MrsV Classic

Leilandri · 12/05/2011 20:57

Klou Yes you can see a local MW where you are. Go to the surgery in question and register as a "temporary patient". Hopefully you have your notes with you? I had to do this for the last 2 weeks before DS was born, as I wanted to be at home with my Mummy!!

I'm 27 weeks on Saturday. So exciting now we're all coming to the home stretch. Put our cot (back)together again today, only to find that it is too big for the space in our bedroom Hmm So I have a bigger amount of shifting around than I thought :(

Got all of DS's baby clothes out of the loft, can't believe how many items he never even wore! and they are cute and small Grin

Feeling much better now, if still abit sore. Thanks for all the well wishes xx

MrsS great news about the peas, hope they continue to behave :)

davidtennantsmistress · 12/05/2011 20:57

:o LMFAO mrs V!!!! LMFAO!!!!

damn DP for being away prior to his departure we were at least 3 times a week. Blush at the mo thou my lady bits are on the verge of striking and asking for redundancy pay. :o

KLou111 · 12/05/2011 21:03

Thats good to know Leilandri That's a relief :) Just spoken to my friend here that works for Gynae/c-sections at local Uni hospital and she said they may be able to see me there, if not will ask at my old surgery before we moved.

At least 3 times pw here too, I think my sex drive has gone up since trying to get/getting pg lol!!

V. Funny Mrs. Vidic.

Also getting the cramping in legs and bleeding gums. One really bad bleed when I bit on a pear today, like mouth full of blood sorry TMI . I made the mistake of googling bleeding gums and find it can cause premature labour or worse. Will call Dentist tomorrow but will panic in the meanwhile.

Yukana · 12/05/2011 21:38

Rofl MrsV! Me and DP had a chuckle at your post, I read it to him. I understand though, DP does struggle sometimes 'during the moment' when he's trying to make sure he's not squishing baby and I'm comfortable.

Regarding the libido, I virtually have none. Hmm I was asked actually rather out of the blue by a friend if being pregnant makes me erm, have a rather hyperactive sex drive! No, none of that here. I can tell DP would like more of that between us at the moment though. All I can do is apologise, look sheepish and give him cuddles.

KLou That is such a wonderful thing to say! I would have cried on the spot, so you aren't the only one. Very sweet, am :) for you.

MorningsMadness · 12/05/2011 22:05

27 wks on Sun and, as it's twins, that means not long to go - end July latest which is terrifying as I have nothing done, oh, except lots of lovely lists which probably duplicate each other and will never be used!

Thanks for sore throat tips.

ali, mrss same here but because DH is too paranoid about any impact to twins - was ivf and last time so bit precious but seriously frustrating!!! Apparently after 30 or so wks but by then I'll be an itchy enormous ball of exhaustion who probably wants to hit him not ... ;)

impatient1 · 13/05/2011 07:31

Another resident in 'Camp No Jiggy' here! Im always wary up until 12 weeks, but this time had a haematoma which caused 4 weeks of bleeding, so poor DH has had no chance! Come 38 weeks, im pretty sure I'll be enlisting his assistance in the eviction lol.

davidtennantsmistress · 13/05/2011 07:54

well consultants apt is finally here today, so lets go and see what he says. fingers crossed all is ok, the birth will be easy/simple & there will be no horrors like with DS.

KTisPG · 13/05/2011 08:24

Good luck DTM

alibaba76 · 13/05/2011 09:32

MrsV that story is hilarious!!!
Annie and ohanotherone I had a cramp last night - not nice at all. Managed to catch it before it was in full flow, but still a bit sore even this morning.
KLou what a lovely thing for your DH to say - I would have blubbed too!
Morning we must have the same due date! :)

davidtennantsmistress · 13/05/2011 12:14

aww Klou - that was a lovely thing to say bless him.

the apt went well don't need to see him again until 41 weeks (assuming haven't popped) am getting some pretty heafty kicks going on at the mo - or punches/headbuts as they're quite low.

good news all around won £100 on a scratch card and this am DP was sure he was going to be home mid june, now they've fixed the part it's 50/540 again. but fingers crossed.

Hope everyone's having a good friday 13th.

wishwales · 13/05/2011 13:04

Another update here from hospital bed rest: We are 28 weeks today and baby is still in! This a good milestone for a baby that is going to be a preemie. 3 weeks and 3 days in here now and it is getting harder and harder. My husband moved us into a new home this week and I have never even seen the place! I would love a day pass out of here soon so I can see it and spend some time with my dog and cat. I miss them loads. Been having issues with low blood pressure (70/40), anemia and low B12. Also, my Crohn's disease is acting up and I now realize that alot of the ongoing pain I am having is because of that. We are stable otherwise and Morgan is growing fine, but at the same risks of going into labour at any time. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

davidtennantsmistress · 13/05/2011 13:18

wishingwales - thanks for the update, I know it's hard, but will keep everything crossed for you that morgan stays put a little longer for you. if you had a morning pass with a wheel chair & did nothing at home then back for lunch would they allow it?

konatsu · 13/05/2011 14:40

Hello and thank you for the new thread!!

Wow, we?re already in the third and to me it seems yesterday I had my pregnancy test in my hand!!!

MrsK, I?m very happy for you and the babies!!! Smile

astar, I?m sorry for this. Apparently gestational diabete is quite common in pregnancy. I?m sure that following a good diet you can keep it under control.

Filawla, good luck with the search. Do not worry as soon as you find the new place, you?ll catch up with the baby shopping. It could have been worst having bought everything and then have to move it.

Klou111, maybe if you go to the local hospital there they?ll be able to advice you?

konatsu · 13/05/2011 14:45

Wishwales, that's good and I keep fingers crossed for you and the baby!

impatient1 · 13/05/2011 16:55

Fab news Wishwales
I messed up on my gtt last week, woke in the night with hideous heartburn and without thinking, necked a pint of milk and a big swig of gaviscon and then thought 'oops....'! Have it next friday instead now.

CappuccinoCarrie · 13/05/2011 18:38

wishwales so sorry you're going stir crazy, but really really pleased you're still pregnant!

I fear I'm eating my way to GTT with the number of biscuits I'm getting through Blush. Got my 28wk appt and blood tests next monday (I'll only be 26+4 but I'm not complaining....haven't seen mw since 16 weeks!) but hopefully will be ok... impatient LOL at 'messing up' your GTT with middle of the night heartburn! I'm quite the gaviscon addict now too, I'm even able to drink the minging peppermint one without noticing the taste, I'm just so thankful for the relief it gives.

DTM hope your DH is home sooner rather than later :)

ohanotherone · 13/05/2011 19:15

Wish Wales....you must be soooooo bored and fed up, but at least you are in a safe place. Loads of sympathy for you though!!!
