ei, I don't envy your bad back but I do envy you being signed off! This morning I counted how many working days I had left, can't remember now but it was 20 something. This week and next are 5 day weeks though
Hope this week isn't too hard for you Bonkerz, my mum passed away almost 14yrs ago and I still think about her constantly. Time does help you to cope though, eventually.
Finally got around to have dd's feet measured yesterday so I can buy her some new winter shoes.
Also tried to get some photos taken of her, by one of those photographers M'care gets in, unco-operative little minx wasn't having any of it though....so we'll try again another day. Good thing she can't read yet as she's on my lap as I type this
Started washing baby bedding this morning, next weekend clothes I think....Having a relaxing afternoon today though, been running around a bit the last 2 days so need a rest now

flutterbee · 23/10/2005 14:44

What is going to happen when everyone is on mat leave there will be no one around chatting as everyone seems to do it whilst at work,

Its been dead on here this weekend.

dramaqueen72 · 23/10/2005 14:56

sorry flutter, I am about just not posting much, so much to do, so much hurting -LOL- and a full house with all the family home. i dont know where everyones gone this weekend but I'm sure they will be along soon
nemo I'd love to email you the pictures. I've totally fallen in love with the baby from them.
I'm not sure about psoting it on here as a profile -god if I got any 'negative' comments I'd fall apart!!- but might email the dec mummies whos emails I have........as long as nobody minds!

Jaysfirst · 23/10/2005 15:14

hey Sunday peeps, am having a quiet one as yesterday i went with a friend to look at some cars, i didnt realise how much it took out of me and i suffered last night. Got no sleep at all, in pure agony, no matter how i lay the SPD pain ( now in pelvis hip and back) just took over do i ended up getting up at 6 again, just to sit on the sette. Amazing how i can sit here and its not so bad... still havent dont much today, just reading papers and wathing lazy tele....
DQ i would love to see your pics i can let you have my email if its not too much bother? Not sure if you saw the link but take a look on www.peanutmonkey.co.uk to see pics of my dd in 3d, also some others if you want! Cant believe its the start of another week tomorrow, i have 69 days to go till d day!! :0 mad and scarey!

scully · 23/10/2005 16:12

I'm sure it will be quieter on here once the bumps start arriving, but then once we all get used to the new arrivals and their disruption it will be chatty again, with a whole new load of comments/complaints/questions
I'm never usually on here on the weekend, but dh is p'ing me off and as he's watching the cricket, I may as well be up here, enjoying some peace. Even had half a glass of wine with lunch I was so annoyed
dd has been a delight today though, so it all balances out I guess. Have also been reading the paper Jay, enjoy the novelty of actually finishing it on a Sunday, don't think that happened for at least a year after dd arrived

expatinscotland · 23/10/2005 16:13

Got out to Mothercare yesterday to get some bits and bobs for the baby. Scored 6 terry cloth sheets for £20! Bonus!

bonkerz · 23/10/2005 16:34

Hi all.

Had a bad day yesterday. Could feel my emotions bubbling all day and by 7pm i lost it. Really lost it. My sister realised id gone to my room and came and sorted me out! She said she was relieved that she had seen me lose it cos she was worried about me! Went to bed at 9pm and was up at 4am with unbeliveable acid reflux! feel better today though and can think straight again.
Went to a car boot and came home with 2 bags FULL of baby girl clothes! All NEXT and GAP stuff and also 15 pairs of socks and 7 pairs of tights! Bargain for £10! Now need to stop buying clothes cos my daughter has more than she can possibly wear!!!
Not alot else to say really. Im coping OK and looking forward to Wednesday when DH comes down. Really missing him!!! get my moments when im doing normal stuff where i feel guilty but obviously i have DS to care for etc.... Still dreading Thursday and the funeral but know i will get thorugh it one way or another.

dramaqueen72 · 23/10/2005 21:01

bonkerz, keep hanging in there, its a tough rollercoaster of a time for you.

s/h, its not like yo to go away from here so long! I hope your okay? I didnt wish early labour on you by saying you'll be first did I?? I'm worrying about you all............

sweetheart · 24/10/2005 09:34

Hi everyone,

Haven't had a chance to catch up and I'll be having a really busy day today so probably won't be on much.

Just wanted to ask a TMI question, will check in for responses later......

Dh and I had sex last night and afterwards I went to the loo and noticed a few spots of blood. Do you think this is anything to worry about. There were about 8 spots in total - only small ones. We've recently had to change some of our postition coz some were getting a bit uncomfortable - I wonder if perhaps he was just a bit too ummmmmmmmmm eager

Sorry - !!! Anyway, There are no more spots this morning - do you think I should be worried?

Cheers ladies, hope your all well. Will catch up later

ninah · 24/10/2005 09:45

sh I wouldn't worry tbh. You haven't had any cramps or pains, have you? think it's the over eager thing
If any developments, I'd check with mw or NHS direct otherwise just mention next visit, sure Lucas will be kicking you in the midriff meantime to reassure you!

MINNIE1 · 24/10/2005 09:52

Morning all,

Bonkers, hang in there hun.. Sending you a huge hug.

Jay,
Fab photos..

SH,
My sex life has gone down the pan! So will have to leave that to the other ladies..

Hope you all are well and happy

kangel · 24/10/2005 09:54

Morning Ladies,

I hope you all had good weekends!

SH - I wouldn't worry either, apparently it often happens after a 'session'. I keep having to fight DP off - i'm just too tired to even think about it!

In the end I decided to have my hair done and I am so glad that I did - every at work today has commented on how nice I look even though I am so tired and cannot sleep at night as I am so uncomfortable.

We got SDD back on Friday night just for the weekend and checked through her hair.........and pulled out another 11 LIVE lice!!! We were sooooo angry at SDD's Mother for not using the stuff we told her to use or combing her hair out every night and morning. Had a word with her and she insists she's used the mousse but hasn't used T-Tree oil. All week shes been telling us that she is clear and they have all gone - Er NO I don't think so!!

Then yesterday we went to go out shopping and someone had stolen both number plates off DP's car, so spent the day on the phone to police and sorting things out - apparently they steel them, put them on their cars so they get out of paying the congestion charge so we are expecting to get a few thousand fines through the post - but we have a crime no so we don't have to pay. What an inconvenience though!!

george32 · 24/10/2005 10:17

Hi all, sorry I've been quiet over the weekend. I feel guilty for being on the computer when I have DP and the boys here so don't get as much chance to get on. Got my ball from Argos too so spent lots of time inanely bouncing!

Sorry SH, I can't offer any advice either - sex sems to be a long & distant memory for me too.

DQ, I'd love to see your pictures please. I'm very excited!

DP was very happy with everything I bought so I'm really pleased. We are going to do more shopping on Sat at a big mothercare. Scully, I can't stop the hormones, I truely am buying everything in the range!!

Bonkerz, I glad you got some support from your sister, it's about time they started looking after you. Sending you {{{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}} for this week.

ninah · 24/10/2005 10:28

oops forgot to say yes please dq, want to see!

MINNIE1 · 24/10/2005 10:28

george32

Went shopping the wkend and only got vest, hats, blankets!!!! i spent the whole day shopping. I think i was in shock that i was buying!!!

Everything is white!

george32 · 24/10/2005 10:36

But it's a start Minnie - it all starts becoming real now (yes, come January, we really will be mums! )
You watch, next time you go you will come home absolutely laden with "things".

flutterbee · 24/10/2005 10:41

Hi Peeps,

Bonkerz - As hard as it seems you will get through this and sometimes it's good to just let go and break down. You know we are all thinking of you on here.

I had sex (with DH I hasten to add) for the first time in ages the other day DH asked how long after the birth was normal to wait till you had sex again and I told him I expect it to be a good 6-7 weeks, his face nearly hit the floor so I felt sorry for him and thought I had better give him something to remember I will try and have sex a few more times before it gets too late....must put that on my list of things to do

I am off to the MW today so hopefully I shall get the results about this infection that I supposedly have and the hospital have just rung and said they have me booked in for a scan tomorrow morning so that they can have a look at just how big the baby is going to be, I keep telling myself that they are wrong and that it's a tiny baby so fingers crossed for me. No matter what it's going to be great to see the bump again and see exactly where he is lying.

george32 · 24/10/2005 10:48

LOL Flutter! It really is one to add to the list isn't it!!
I keep meaning to but just forget or fall asleep, LOL

MINNIE1 · 24/10/2005 11:43

flutterbee
LOL at the list of things todo.. I should put it on mine aswell.. Going to make an effort tonight.

George,
Cant wait for the next spree.. Dp will be coming along the next time!! (he has the cash! i got the list!) the though of me having my own little family very soon is very exciting indeed..

dramaqueen72 · 24/10/2005 13:36

s/h believe its normal, worth a mention to a midwife next time but dont think you need special calls to her otherwise, unless you have more bleeding, cramps or lack of baby movement obviously. I say believe its normal because my sex life has kinda faded away.........what with me up til god knows what hour and dh in bed by 10pm most nights........keep meaning to make the effort but..............am adding it to my todo list as well!
its half term, and house a mess, monday is usually my mass clear up day after weekend, but its not happening with a houseful here. finding myself getting angrier about it too. need granny to offer to take them all out I think........where are all the grannys when you need them eh?!
been put on huge iron dose by gp on midwife instructions. take it my bloods came back then!!! anyone else on them tell me their dose? and because I am SURE these are the tablets that made me ill last time, and they changed it to another type.just wondering why the heck they didnt put me on the other ones to start with this time???
george, glad youre baby shopping! for a minute there i thought youre little guy was going to have nothing to wear!
will email my fave 3d picture later,
minnie -am EXACFTLY the same as you, -I have th lists dh has the cash. getting the two together has been bloody hard work! we finally ordered our global bedside cot this weekend. will believe it when it gets here!!!
also have a list for ikea and dh agreed to go in the next few weeks (its abit of a trek for us!) so my god! thsi baby might actually have a room!
talking of this baby, it still hasnt turned round

MINNIE1 · 24/10/2005 13:40

Have a hosp app tomor, cant wait. they should tell me what way bubs is, so i could be in your position aswell DQ.. Really hoping for a V birth as is everyone.

scully · 24/10/2005 13:52

Everyone should have very clean skirting boards and floors, if you're wanting your baby to turn
Shifting off the lounge and onto the floor or the ball for the last 6wks seems to have made an improvement on last time at least. Midwife checked on Friday and baby still head down. back was on my right side though, not left, but she said they can still flip from side to side, even when head down, for a few more wks yet.
Sorry sh, also no idea about your question, would require dh and I to have had sex anytime recently to know Tireness and complete disinterest are 2 reasons at the top of my list Baby is due in 7.5wks, maybe should make an effort just once between now and then
dq, I'm on 200mg ferrous sulphate, 2 tabs a day. Have found it ok and hasn't had any bad side affects. My level was 10.5 and normal is 11 so I was only just below. They will test again at my next visit at 35wks to see what it's at then.
I normally start work at 8.15am, only got here at 9.40am this morning.....was awake between 12-3am and just couldn't get up when the alarm went off at 6am. Work are v. understanding though which is great. I think they are just greatful I haven't gone on leave already.

I'm so glad it's not just me that isn't bothered at the moment.
Ei, congrats on being a SAHM now. Close your ears everyone still at work..........

What is your appointment for Minnie? I've got my midwife later in the week so I'll ask her about when the baby should turn for me.

I've been busy making a list of things to buy at the weekend - it's quite expensive isn't it
