lol you lot are so funny! re all the sex talk and once a week and putting it on your lists! I feel a bit abnormal, its me that seems to be having a bit of a push on the sex front ( but no other kiddies or work and only just married in August)dh is a bit too scared of hurting me as i have this SPD and bad back etc....can be a bit frustrating sometimes but i guess i should be grateful??? I am grateful to him though, i was going on about how mucky the oven is ( never noticed it when i was working but seem to have more time to notice these things now off work!!!)so he got some oven cleaner and set to it this morning... now i dont want to seem like i am complaining, but i was giving him a hard time before he got started, telling him what he needed to do and generally giving him 'helpful hints' he got a bit cross with me and said ' well if you dont want me to do it i wont, but i wil be straight on mumsnet telling them....!' he reckoned thered be plenty of mums to be ready to welcome him into their homes to clean their ovens for them! Anyway he did a good job and even cleaned the mess up after.. i wasnt really moaning honest!

scully · 24/10/2005 14:12

Once a week ei, my dh would be happy with once a month Oh well, can't say I've been too concerned for him
Great pics dq
George, enjoy those shopping hormones, you're allowed to for your first baby It just gets harder to justify with next one

Jaysfirst · 24/10/2005 14:14

btw ei welcome to daytime treats!!
oh and a question, does anyone else see their doctor as a matter of course for antenatal appointments? i have to alternate with my midwife from now till 35 wks onlly then do i see her every week? And the worse thing is at my docs you have to call on the day to get an apointment, then you have to take what ever they have, normally a five minute wonder and with a doc that you see rarely....its a farce!

ei23monster · 24/10/2005 14:16

LOL jays... your dh can come and clean my oven for me its not been cleaned since we got it mind you that was only six months ago!! but it says on the oven cleaner bottle that it shouldnt be used by pg ladies!! and its a nightmare to just persuade dp to wash the dishes nevermind the oven!! ill have to stamp that tendency out of him before the bub comes otherwise the house will fall into serious disrepair!!

OP posts:
george32 · 24/10/2005 14:16

LOL Scully, next one??? Don't think we will be seeing a next one!! Don't think DP could cope with me being pregnant again!

JF, send him round to me, my oven is filthy. Are we not allowed to clean ovens at the moment then? Can I really ask DP to do it, can I, can I, please????

ei23monster · 24/10/2005 14:18

oh yeah and DQ LOVE the pics theyre lovely!!

OP posts:
ei23monster · 24/10/2005 14:23

george, iv already been told by dp that were not havin any more babies as he cant cope!! i think its the lack of sex as hes a horny little devil and so am i usually but i think those days are well and truely over for me!! ah well onwards and upwards i say!! feck him hell just have to cope through the next one-(i tried to freak him out the other day by sayin i wanted five kids- he went white an a little sweaty!!hehe)

expatinscotland · 24/10/2005 14:23

I was seeing the midwife only, but then my swelling came back, together w/the anaemia. So now I see the doc every week.

ei23monster · 24/10/2005 14:36

hi expat how are you feelin? u still not well??
wheres everyone disappeared to?

OP posts:
george32 · 24/10/2005 14:36

I alternate between the GP & midwife, still on 3 weekly appointments. I think they go down to every other week after the next one though. Only weekly after 40 weeks.
I do make sure I see my GP though as she is lovely.

DQ, gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous.

Jaysfirst · 24/10/2005 14:39

lol ei @ 5, i started off saying i always wanted to have four, am only just baking the first and at 34 id be preggers for the rest of my life!!Will see hoe i go with this one, would def like a bro or sis for her though!
DQ when you had your 4d scan were you surprised at the movement that baby did that you couldnt feel? Whe i had mine for tge whole haf hour dvd she moved about fairly intensivly but i ony felt about four five movements...mad world in there i say!!!

Jaysfirst · 24/10/2005 14:41

expat, he selling is horrid as in the aneameia, but not for to much longer now, have just had my bood test result back (sent to me not to the doctor) and two of the counts are out of range.... not sure what that means really as i dont understand al the abbreviations, but i am assuming if it was anything serious then i would have had a call???

Jaysfirst · 24/10/2005 14:42
  • the swelling..... not he selling.......lol oh dear i should re read my messages b4 i send them!!!
ei23monster · 24/10/2005 14:52

jays,i think if the results are sent to you then you are supposed to make an appt to see your gp to discuss them as its quicker to send them to you than to the docs surgery!iyswim

dramaqueen72 · 24/10/2005 14:53

hey four is a very good number of children to have you knw jays!!!!
the baby was fast asleep on my 4d scan. but on my normal scan i could see feet literally stamping up and down and not feel a thing! crazy! CAT me yor email adress and we'll swap pictures!and I did go thro a keen on sex phase. its just worn off. LOL
sorry youre not well expat. hope the drs are looking after you better than you felt your midwives were?? are you still thinking home birth? I am, If this baby turns. no WHEN this baby turns..............
love your faith george about asking when your baby will turn for you, no ifs or buts there!!
am actually about to clean floor, was going to use mop but now will get down on hands and knees instead.
we're not allowed to clean ovens, no, not with special cleaners, but soap and water is fine. as your dhs will point out I have no doubt! I just hardly ever clean mine anyhow!LOL
right off to tackle floors. sigh. how pg do i have to be to justify a cleaner??????

MINNIE1 · 24/10/2005 15:00

Hello ladies,

Finally have a min to myself today to catch up with all the posts! I've got my mat cover lady in so I've had a busy day of explaining myself - I've set her to work on a task so i could catch up on MN!!!

Bonkerz, hang in there hun - hopefully the funeral will allow you to let go of some of your grief.

DQ - great piccies, so cute! I'm glad you got the scan done at the show price

Kangel - absolutly shocking about your dh's car. I went out the other morning to find my rear windscreen wiper had been stolen - bloody bastards!!! It's so irratating isn't it

I had quite a busy weekend of sorting and shopping. Went to get a few last min bits for the baby - although I still have more to get

I have a mw appt tomorrow so I'll mention the bleeding to her - everything seems normally today though so I'm not worried. I have to say my sex drive has increased since I've been preg, I think it's dh thats the tired one

I've got to have my 2nd Anti D injection tomorrow so that will be fun - NOT!

Ninah - hope youhad a good weekend honey, nice and peaceful! I'll try and e-mail you later, or perhaps tomorrow

Jaysfirst · 24/10/2005 15:03

ei, i was sent the first lot of blood test results too, mw never told me that i need to make any appointments to discuss....still i am going on Fri to gp so will take them with me then!
Have emailed you DQ re baby scan pics, if anyone else wants to see mine ( and arent bored with me keeping posting our website!!) then go to :

Jaysfirst · 24/10/2005 15:21

minnie, i have a chimney sweep coming in two weeks to check out if we can use our fireplace. Its been boarded up for three yrs and not been used for about five yrs, i am hoping it will be ok, i think a real fire is gorgeous...spec as its soon to be christmas and then i can bath her infront of the fire... how nice would that be. in the mean time i light lots of church candles in the hearth and pretend!!
EI i think blackpool is a bit far for me to come, although i love it up there!! Think we are ventureing out to the local rugby club, as long as i go somewhere where there are fireworks and a bonfire, with bonfire toffee and sparklers i dont mind!!

ei23monster · 24/10/2005 15:27

oooooh sparklers i forgot about those!! im such a big kid!!

i am a lover of the real fire, every evening without fail i have one on. Not because its cold but its homely. Knock off the CH and pack up the fire.. When we were small i remember bath beside the fire.... and the kitchen sink!!!

Hope your chimmy is clear, the sweep should do the job. We moved into a house and the chimmys were out of action for many years.. Gave them a good clean and they were fine..
